Black Sheep Coffee in Leeds

Iced lemonade tasted of virtually nothing. Very little customer service to speak of. Automated ordering service extremely slow to load. Do not go here.

First time going to black sheep coffee. The ambience was lovely and the staff were very friendly. I had an XL caramel frappe and it was delicious. I will be back to try other drinks on the menu.

I like the coffee here but DO NOT expect the WiFi to work. The last few times I have been I have been unable to connect. If you want to get some work done, go elsewhere.

I went yesterday to take a coffe at 17.40-45 with some friends. The only good thing was the coffe. We wanted to eat in, so we ordered our coffes and they gave us our coffes in a take away cup, they said that they were under staff so they couldnt wash the cups!!!!! We were in total no more than 12 customers! We went upstairs and after a minute, a guy came to say that they were closing upstairs. Couldnt they tell us before? Same guy was after downstairs pretending to clean the toilets! What a nightmare! It was so disgusting and smelly!!

Can’t praise Fernanda enough. She never stops. Always working so hard to serve the public. Amazing service! Love the coffee and coffee art. What a credit to this company.

Not sure about the terrible reviews below, my experience was good. This coffee shop is very pretty first and foremost and I love the full glass fascia. It looks modern and is also dog and baby friendly, which is a plus for all dog and baby owners. We ordered on the screen - not sure if you can order over the counter, it was stating to order at the screen so we did. Our coffees were fine and enjoyable. I had a chai latte because I didn't wanna bother with a coffee and I was able to customise it with syrups, too. I will definitely go there again.

Ordered a hot chocolate and hot chocolate tasted like sewage water. My friend tasted it and said the same. I complained and lady serving me asked me what she wanted me to do about it and that that's the way their hot chocolate tastes. Unprofessional and rude.

I just went here with my family today. I wanted to pay with cash, but they apparently don’t want it. You have to order and pay via kiosk. I don’t mind kiosks as a choice, but I don’t like the choice to pay with cash gone for many different reasons. paying cash matters to me as a customer. Paying cash is a mindful. So I took my cash to Nero.

Visited this coffee shop for breakfast. Self serve screens were very comprehensive and easy to use. The coffee was good and the food average for the amount charged. I’ll not visit again as the toilet facilities were very poor. Broken tap, no running water to wash hands. Broken toilet seat. Seemed very unsanitary to me. Yuk!

Lovely oat lattes, vegan options for cakes. I loved that you could select whether you wanted a take out cup, a ceramic or to use your own reusable! 🙌🙌 We opted for ceramic as I refuse to use single use coffee cups. They were really nice and my family enjoyed the cakes they ordered. Would go back for sure!

We were the only customers when we arrived and my son got the waffle and smoothie, I had a pastry and cappuccino. Everything was very nice, not cheap but probably same price as somewhere like Costa but I would always so much prefer to support a small business like this (presumably) is rather than giving money to millionaires. The only problem we had was also mentioned in another review so obviously that is a recurrent issue... the toilets were absolutely vile, both had wee on the seats & floor and no toilet roll although it was mid morning. So the food, drinks and service were lovely but avoid the toilets!!

So we thought we would try this place for coffee and snacks whilst out shopping in Leeds, wish we hadn’t bothered , we ordered a iced chai latte, iced mocha with a Nata tart and a affluent with strawberry’s and Nutella , iced chai had all clumps in the bottom I only had one sip and when I took it back to the counter for it to be resolved it was given back to me just over half full i didn’t know what to say , my husbands mocha wasn’t great either taste was poor , the nata tart was soggy definitely not fresh , the waffle was ok , for just under 18.00 for these I would have been better going to Starbucks !

Visited this café twice last week and really liked quick ordering system and quick service. Coffee and cakes very good and all staff were lovely. The only downside is the unisex toilets that are obviously not checked on or cleaned regularly during opening hours. The floors were wet an pee on the toilet seats, and unclean (ladies really do not like feeling like we're going into a gents urinal)! I actually slipped on the wet floor! There are only 3 loos for all customers to share and one had no soap and another had a broken hand dryer. When loos are unhygienic, it makes you wonder how clean the kitchen areas etc are! The whole experience is important in any café and for some reason the toilets just get forgotten about and they really are sub-standard! Really disappointing!

Visited for coffee in December 2022. Appeared very strange at first as customers are required to stand at self-service kiosks to choose their drink/food - very long queue so I thought this must be good. I certainly object to having to pay via my bank card as I had cash to use but in this day and age I guess it is too cool not to and the coffee shop is listed as card only! After then waiting around 25 mins to receive my order, servers are supposed to call out your name to say your drink is ready. It appeared complete chaos as noone knew who's drink was who's and you wern't able to speak to an operative behind the counter. Turns out mine was waiting on the counter and noone had informed me that it was ready. I noticed a number of customers bringing their food back to complain that their orders were not completed as required and the whole situation was a shambles. Now this gets me on to my coffee. Whilst the taste was good, it was bordering on clap-cold and I thought id have to give it up as a bad job after waiting eons to get a drink. This was a very cold day in December and I would have really benefited from a hot drink. Consumed in about 4 swigs in less than a minute due to the temperature, I wish I hadn't have bothered. All in all, a terrible experience that I do not want to replicate. If this is the pretentious way that we are all now supposed to order food and drink whilst out, then they can stick it.
