Black Rooster Livingston in West Lothian

DO NOT EAT HERE, I ordered a chicken burger and when I bit into it the burger was pink, I told the staff who were really nice and gave me a refund and apologised and made a new burger, when the new burger came I then cut into it with a knife to make sure it was ok to eat and it was also pink and when I told them again they said the burgers are premade and can’t be raw but they were both genuinely pink, the first one was very pink and the second one was slightly pink, now me and my friend are ill and defo won’t be eating here again!!!

We came from out of town and visited this shop and were very pleased with the service from Chloe and Jay. They were patient with our order and were kind and friendly to my kids. Good service goes a long way and made this a pleasant visit. The food was good value especially the lunch menu meals. The shop inside is nice and big with plenty of seating and is clean and tidy. We ordered take away and when we had the food it was well packed and tasted very nice. The peri fries were very nice. Very pleasant experience overall.

Great place! The staff Shannon and Paige, were very friendly and helpful. And the chefs were very friendly too. Food was great too, I througly recommend this, to any one who is a fan of spicy food too. Michael

Good food quick delivery but forgot an item

The food wasn’t great probably wouldn’t order again . Ordered mild and it was too spicy to eat .

After trying Black Rooster in Dunfermline a few times gotta say this branch feels very bland in comparison. Got there with my mate and immediately noticed the restaurant was entirely empty and the music was extremely loud and there were four kids (members of staff) behind the counter doing nothing but speaking out loud to each other and having a laugh (pretty much behaving as school students by playing with each other). Due all that loud noise and what seemed lack of interest to take our order we just went to return the menus to the counter and went somewhere else with a less eccentric environment. Maybe management should keep them in check.

Food was great but the drink is always spilled on arrival

Everytime I eat from here I ask myself why I don’t order more. Perfect.

Got a chicken burger dryer than the Sahara bun was old like it was yesterday's food not worth what they are charging would give this one a miss other chicken places are better

Usually order every other week. Would highly recommend usually. But today the curly fries and normal peri fries were inedible, was pure salt ruined the rest of the meal it was that bad.

Usually great, only issue this time is the wrong flavour came with the chicken and rice. hot lemon and herb ordered, extra hot delivered and it was just to spicy. Everything else was spot on though so not a bad review but human error unfortunately.

Ordered from here before and it’s normally pretty good, ordered around 1:00pm and food didn’t arrive until 2:30pm.. the food was tasty, quesadilla was warm but the chips weren’t, drink was cling filmed to stop spilling - probably won’t order from here again due to wait time

Quick delivery. Hot. I always think the rice is a bit too over but that’s because it’s precooked then reheated. Still enjoyable though.

everything was great except the burger, it was really messy and uncomfortable to eat. mozzarella sticks and peri fries were amazing though

Foods freezing cold waste of time waiting for a cold meal

Food was okay but not worth the money. Pictures and reality are so far from each other. Portions were quite small as well.

Piping hot, quick delivery, tasty food, unfortunately missing a set of chips this time (really unusual normally always spot on) but quickly resolved.. still 5* as far as we are concerned, highly recommend, one of our favourites.

Never got my peri peri mayo that I ordered and paid for

There was a mix up with the fillings on one pf the burgers. However this was rectified as soon as we notified them. Was and has always been a great service. Best place.

Waited over 1 hr and 30 mins for my order. Driver waited at the place for over 90 mins

Like others, the chicken was dry and not really tasty. The fries were almost cold. Delivery was just the worst. The driver left it and ran away, the fries all over the place and drink spilled everywhere. Horrible service. Not ordering again.

First time ordering and won’t be the last. Food was amazing. Arrived still hot. They had even put cling film around the cups to prevent spilling. Very happy!

Was very dry and didn't look too tasty. Filled a hole ...... was disappointed mainly as this is the first time I've ordered since branch reopened and it's was no where near as good as it has been before. Not worth £30 odd tonight that's for sure.

It’s decent, but nothing exceptional! Portions are pretty small and a meal isn’t going to cut it if you’ve a decent appetite.

Well, if you want yur food all over the place in the bottom of yur bag and the juice wrapped in clingfilm, yous are an absolute bloody joke, oh and if you phone up to complain they direct u to their driver at ubereats and when u try contact them on phone directly it’s over £3 per minute, aye rite then

Food was amazing, could get 2 meals for price of one at Nandos. Middle aged blonde woman served me and she was so lovely, very attentive and friendly! Will 100% be back.

We ordered 2 meals at lunch time and waited 55 mins on food . Got a wrap meal which should be chicken breast strips and it had a bone in it.

Good food for value the wee apprentice that was with us gave the waitress his snapchat she hasn't added him and he has been a very sad boi since 🤣

Been for the 1st time to Livingston one, fantastic taste, tender chicken, The best is the whole chicken with peri chips, can’t beat it. Will defo go bac and highly recommended for all ages. Premises spotless clean.

Nice place for a nice Peri Peri

came today 19th March at lunch time and i honestly cannot say a single bad thing. place is massive and very very clean. staff upon arrival where very helpful and friendly. the owner i believe and maybe his wife where the most friendliest people so welcoming and proud of their facility wanting it to be the best. the food was top notch, fresh hot and extremely filling. beats nandos, Don pollo and pepes by a stretch. great priced too. cannot wait to go back. Really hope the place does well.

Very happy this is in Livingston. We got the burrito, quesadilla, chicken burger, peri chips and Mac and cheese bites and couldn’t fault any of it. We got mild and it was still quite spicy so if you don’t like much spice I wouldn’t recommend mild. Peri chips are amazing but a little bit salty.

Great food in Deans! Black Rooster opened recently in Livingston Deans. Now I don't have to drive to Coatbridge! I've tried all the other Peri Chicken places but NOTHING compares to my fav meal of Chiken strips with Mango and Lime sauce. Peri peri chips are the best as well. All served with Vimto to wash it all down. SUPER GRUB. Get yourself a great meal!
