Brilliant food-true Spanish tapas. Staff very helpful and polite Not to be missed!

Six of us went midweek for a family birthday meal . It was a lovely evening all round.There was a good range of dishes on offer , including many vegan options , everything tasty - favourites were the pork skewers and fried aubergines - all set off by some white Rioja . The ambience is good , lighting subdued and the service from Melvin manages to be efficient as well as relaxed and friendly.

This place is a real gem. The food was absolutely delicious and the owner is very friendly. Lovely cocktails. We’ve been coming here since it opened 12 years ago. I totally recommend.

Had the most delicious meal here ordering from the vegan menu. Service was absolutely lovely and really attentive. It was quiet but hoping it was just because it was January (area was quiet too). Im still thinking about the croquettes 🤤

Small portions but good food. The service was messed up, for example the mains did not arrive at the same time (and more). For this reason we asked to remove the service charge, which was not a problem for them. In our case the price is not so meaningful because we booked with the fork and we got a 30% discount.

Overpriced and the wine tasted terrible. No physical wine menu so you have to scan a qr code and spend 5 minutes using your phone upon arrival. A quirk too far for me. Food was delicious but not worth the price. House music is played while you eat. What a shame, the interior looked nice and I had high hopes

Perfect spot for venue hire! I hired their basement cocktail bar room for my 30th. Ordered a spread of Spanish food. Has to be the best patatas bravas I've ever had! And their cocktails were banging. It's an excellent space and the owners couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and delightful through the whole progress. Made organising a party the least stressful thing. Pretty well priced and I couldn't recommend it anymore!

I was recommended this space for my 30th birthday party by a good friend of mine and had the best night when booking out the downstairs venue. Melvin went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly for me with such lovely positivity and energy. The venue is gorgeous with such a lovely and glamourousss atmosphere and a great sound system. We ordered food which was absolutely delicious and all of my friends commented on how kind the staff were. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a space for a private party and would absolutely love to come back to the venue also for food soon! Was delighted with how the night turned out and am very grateful to Melvin and co for their hosting! Would highly recommend!

This is the second time we've hired the downstairs event space, was great atmosphere and done up really nice. Highly recommended. The food was delicious with plenty of vegan options alongside the meat menu. Get the sharing platter!

Loved my experience in this Spanish restaurant. I am Spanish myself and I rarely go to Spanish restaurants in London as I fear to be disappointed. But in this one not only you feel like home, the food is authentic and the execution is perfect. Melvin and David are great! We enjoyed some octopus, solomillo and piquillo peppers to name few, and all were fab! Also the sangria it’s a must! Thanks and see you soon!!

Black Pig catered my husband’s 50th birthday celebration. The food was absolutely brilliant, we got so many compliments. Beautifully flavored, varied, great value, delivered with a smile and fabulous service. Felt home cooked but also very special.

As a Spanish person I can say this was a great discovery with amazing food! I'm also coeliac and 90% of the menu is gluten free. They also adapted the fried calamari to be gluten free by using chickpea flour and frying it in a different pan. I really appreciated it, gluten free people will understand me :) We can't recommend enough the morcilla (Spanish black pudding), the solomillo and the boquerones. They also had few other things outside the menu, such as pulpo con patatas, which was amazing. We were two and had six dishes to share and a jug of Sangria. We will definitely come back soon!

We had a lovely meal here. I’m vegan and they had plenty of vegan options for me to choose from that the meat eater also loved. The wine was delicious and the place was cosy and romantic with candles and the staff were so lovely. I will definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

My family recently organised a surprise party here and it was brilliant. The food was 10/10, the staff were so friendly, attentive and flexible and we were able to transform the restaurant into a dance floor after dinner Would 10/10 recommend. A diverse menu and everything is delicious and the most lovely staff

We booked the downstairs space for a friend’s 50th birthday party with friends arriving from all over the world so it was a pretty special night. Melvin and his staff were fantastic! I could not have asked for a better team to look after us – nothing was too much trouble and they made the room look lovely particularly the tables with tablecloths, napkins and lots of candles. It was such a great space. 40 of us ate tapas (the food was great) and 50 of us in total for the dancing afterwards. The large speakers were great (we had our own DJs) along with aircon and clean toilets close by. The atmosphere was fantastic and this is partly down to the wonderful crew that looked after us. Melvin helped me all the way to organise the event; he was helpful, considerate and very prompt with responding to my emails – a pleasure to work with! I actually don’t think you’ll find a venue this good for the price. Thank you Melvin and your team!

We went for our anniversary and had an really lovely evening. Delicious food, yummy sangria, and very friendly staff. We got the vegan sharing menu and felt that the value for money of the meal was spot on and left extremely satisfied. Highly recommend.

From being welcomed at the front door, to the super satisfying Sangria and all the sensational Tapas dishes in between, this place has ignited my taste buds and put Tapas back on the map for me! What a delightful selection of mouth watering dishes and gorgeous ambience that leaves you wanting more. Hands down, the best Tapas I have had in London. Will definitely be back for more!

We had the vegan shared menu and a few other dishes. Food was faultless - interesting and delicious and we would all have given food at least 5stars. Overall though, the meal let down by poor front of house service. Struggling to take order, forgotten dishes and a lack of timeliness with clearing tables etc. This was coupled with sitting at a table that was off-puttingly sticky to the touch. If you come prepared for these issues, you will have a fantastic culinary experience. We may just have hit a bad night in terms of front of house staffing so worth giving it a go as food won’t disappoint.

One of my fav tapas place. I've been before and after the lockdown period, I can say it is as good as before - which is something rare within my current experiences. Food is super tasteful and well presented. They have the most glorious iberico pork ever on a bed of perfectly cooked patatas bravas! Tapas are just delicious. On top of this, staff is very nice, friendly and accurate.

Staff were really nice and friendly. Food was nice too, great flavours! The sharing menu is ideally for 2 people, portions weren't exactly big. Not sure if having more people will mean that there will be bigger portions. The chorizo was lovely, the croquettes as well. The patatas bravas were very very good. All looked and felt freshly made and piping hot, which is always appreciated in tapas.

This place is a little gem! I went here on a date and was pleasently surprised. Its a intimate and comfortable dinning space, we were served by a Spanish waitress who was very attentive, and the food!... So exquisite, well prepared and brought out timely I had to personal give complements to the chef and waitress after👌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

As a Spaniard who grew up in London, this place is everything I could hope for when eating at a Spanish restaurant in my home city. There are others, of course, but the creativity on display here in combination with the fantastic, genuinely Spanish ingredients make this a special place to enjoy modern Spanish cuisine. It is a welcome change from going to a chain where they sell tapas made from largely average ingredients, and overcharge you for the privilege. Not here. Tapas starts at £5.50 for patatas bravas and a couple of others up to £13.50 for prawn dishes- half the dishes on offer are under £7.50, which is MORE than reasonable. Particularly when taking into account the quality. The guys who run the Black Pig with Pearls are gems. Not just incredibly friendly and accommodating, but clearly have great pride in what they do and the service they provide. And I cannot stress enough: the food really is special.

Such a great place! We had a private party here and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly, the food was plentiful and delicious and the whole vibe is chilled and laid back. Big fan!

Food is spectacular. Ok... it might be busy at weekends and they might be like a load of places in uk issues having enough staff, but ...it's about the food. And the wine. Go... be patient, and enjoy amazing food.

Food is always fantastic but inexplicably this visit there were no physical menus. That meant we had to faff around for 10 minutes trying to get WiFi or phone signal so we could look at the menu on our tiny screens. Maybe I'm getting old but virtual menus is a step too far.....

Beautiful place with friendly staff. The pork was delicious and the dulce de leche literally the best i have tried. Im taking one star because we have been here twice and the quality was not consistent. The first time around it was a bit better than the second and it is a bit on the expensive side. I love black rice and it was a bit disappointing here but the pork is definitely worth it.

We visited The Black Pig With White Pearls on a Thursday evening and ordered from its Vegan menu. The food was delicious and well presented and came out quick. The restaurant has a great atmosphere - very stylish! It is run by a really friendly and super talented couple. Can’t wait to go back.

Really exquisite cooking, very charming owners. Many of the ingredients are sourced from Spain so you get the genuine Spanish tapas flavours and textures, not some spanglish lookalike. We tried 5 dishes and they were all perfect. Highly recommended

Black Pig with White Pearls is one of those wonderful places where conversation over dinner flows freely, the proprietors are more hosts than businessmen, and the food is amazing, both as a conversation topic and pure carnal experience. Perfect spot for that special evening. They sometimes host flamenco nights in their cellar. Do inquire ahead.

Really disappointed. Came here a few years ago and it was great- couldn't wait to return. But the food last night was poor quality, tiny portions and overpriced. All the plates arrived 10 minutes apart and some didn't arrive at all, and this was at the very start of service. Won't be coming back.

Stokey Newington's hidden gem! Tucked away on Stoke Newington high street is the best tapas restaurant in London. Owned and managed by the most delightful and friendly pair, The Black Pig offers its diners a splendid, balanced mix of delicious meat and fish plates, providing authentic Spanish classics with a modern twist. The Iberico skewers with Romesco sauce is stunning and the gambas al ajillo will leave you tempted to double your order as you saviour the blue cheese walnut salad over a glass of perfectly paired Rioja. Leave room for the Dulce de leche though, as they cannot be missed.

Great food, great experience! Anyone who knows what makes a decent restaurant will visit here again and again. A perfect balance between the meat, fish and vegetable dishes with some absolute stunning desert options.

We had the most delicious food, each plate was full of interesting flavour. We stuck mostly to the fish and seafood and they were all delicious. Hard to choose but the black squid ink rice was a favourite. Service was a little slow but I don't hold it against them as the restaurant was completely full. Staff were friendly. I would highly recommend.

Really lovely, cosy restaurant. The staff super friendly and helpful. Food was really nice, but not mind blowing. The portions were rather small for the price. We've had 6 plates to share for two, non-alcoholic drinks and the bill came up to £65. It's worth going to check out what they do, but I don't think we will be back anytime soon. For a Spanish tapas restaurant being bombarded with house music is not the nicest experience you could provide.

Really dissapointing. Very expensive for very average food. Our bill came to £100 for 2 people. Not only did some items never arrive to the table but extra drinks were added so we had to get them to reprint the bill. It seemed like they were understaffed as there was so much rushing around, complaining between staff and food going to the wrong tables repeatedly.

On account of the Miley, this excellent restaurant is only doing takeaway and deliver services. One such service is a ‘ready meal’ package, £50 for 7 main course sized dishes, delivered to your door. It’s enough to feed 2 people over 3 meals, they can be eaten now, kept overnight in the fridge or frozen, and frankly it’s excellent value for money and great food.

Fantastic food and lovely service. They were very knowledgeable about the menu and catering to different dietary requirements. The vegan menu is brilliant, so many choices which is great for tapas as we were able to all share lots of vegan dishes without feeling like the non-vegans we’re giving anything up. This place is an underrated gem and should be way busier than it is.

5 of us had a lovely evening to celebrate a birthday . The tapas was varied and uniformly tasty , the Albarino wine was good. One of our party is vegan but they have an extensive vegan offer so she was well catered for . The candle lit setting helped provide a warm ambiance , the service was charming as well as efficient and it was good value. Would certainly go back.

Περπατώντας σε μια περιοχή του Λονδίνου όπου [μάλλον] πλειοψηφούν οι μουσουλμάνοι μου προκάλεσε περιέργεια το όνομα του εστιατορίου και έτσι εκλεισα τραπέζι για να έχω προσωπική γνώση. Το εστιατόριο έχει ισπανική κουζίνα [τάπας κλπ]. Στα θετικά του η πολύ καλή ποιότητα υλικών , ο τρόπος μαγειρικής των , το περιβάλλον πολύ φιλικό και ζεστό [θύμιζε Ελλάδα] με ανθρώπους που μιλούσαν μεταξύ τους και δεν έβλεπαν τα κινητά τους. Το χοιρινό IBIRICO πολύ καλό όπως και το κόκκινο κρασί HACIENTA RIOJA καθώς και τα γλυκά τους. Μεγάλη ποικιλία τάπας και για χορτοφάγους. Οι τιμές πολύ καλές για Λονδίνο. Στα αρνητικά τους η έλλειψη parking αλλά βολεύει η αστική συγκοινωνία [λεωφορείο 149] , η μικρή καθυστέρηση στο σερβίρισμα των γλυκών και τα ποτηράκια του εσπρέσσο [ήταν για ρετσίνα]. Θα ξαναπάω.

This is a fabulous little restaurant that was buzzing on a Saturday evening. Delicious food at a realistic and affordable price. Between my wife and I, we had 6 tapas plates, a bottle of house wine and a desert to share and with service, had change from £80 The friendly staff where most attentive and knowledgeable of the menu.

The iberico pork steak was just perfect. The croquettes were so good I could have eaten a dozen. Cocktails properly made. It could do with revisiting the dessert menu a bit, but overall the experience is always so good. The hosts are impeccable, always welcoming and keeping the place so homey! Weekends can be busy.

La pasada Semana Santa hemos estado en Londres. Después de llevar 4 días comiendo fuera de casa, comer en este restaurante nos supo a gloria. Pedimos un variado de tapas para degustar: caballa con pimientos del piquillo, arroz negro con ali oli, espárragos con base de tomate y jamón, hamburguesa serranita (ummmmmm, aún recuerdo el sabor. Estaba buenísima), solomillo ibérico con parrillada de verduras, croquetas de jamón caseras y helado de vainilla y de frutos rojos con gin tonic, también de elaboración propia. La atención fue exquisita tanto por Melvin el barman, como por David, el chef. Y el lugar con mucho encanto. Totalmente recomendable!

Lovely atmosphere, food mostly well done, but very expensive for what it is. Mackerel at £11 for a single medium fillet and bomba 80% potato with a small amount of meat inside, albeit very tasty, And a tiny side portion of broad beans which were a bit sad and dry. £35 per head without wine. Esoceca is a better option for foodies, but this fun.

I came for an anniversary meal with my Husband mid evening on a Saturday. It has a lovely ambience perfect for a romantic meal. The restaurant was not fully booked and there were two waiters on shift. The specials board was put on our table at the same time the waiter took our order with no explanation of the dishes, despite seeing the other waiter describe the specials to other tables with more than enough time before ordering. Our order was taken incorrectly, wrong food was brought to the table twice, and dishes we had already eaten was brought out fresh. It is not a relaxing experience to have to recall a large tapas order every time food is brought to the kitchen to check if it's what we actually ordered. The kitchen seemed to lack a rhythm and there were large chunks of time where we had little or no food on the table (perhaps caused by cooking multiple wrong dishes?). With the poor service out of the way, the food was DELICIOUS. We started with bread and aioli (although we were charged for extra aioli!) which was fiery with garlic, then had about 5 tapas - sized more like raciones which was lovely - and for main we had the Iberico Pork with Habas beans. The dishes worked well together and were authentic. I would have given four stars but the service really dragged the whole experience down.
