Bistrot Pierre in Preston

Received a warm, friendly welcome and very good service. I can see why this restaurant is so popular. We ordered from the specials menu which was great value for money and delicious food.

Absolutely shocking. I would definitely NOT recommend going there based on my experience today. I booked afternoon tea for a friends birthday and paid £15 deposit. Once we were sat at our table we were left and eventually had to ask for a drink after being ignored for at least 15 mins. When the food finally arrived some time later I was absolutely stunned, underwhelmed and embarrassed that this had been my choice to bring my friends here. The afternoon tea was poorly executed and presented. The scone and the sparkling wine were nice but everything else suffered from a lack of taste and finesse…. what was presented definitely did not fit what was expected from the website description. Staff were wholly disinterested with “just a minute” being the phrase I heard most often. The bill arrived with the £15 deposit I had been required to pay missing. No apology for this or for any of the above. I have had such bad service before. An expensive mistake.

Absolutely superb restaurant, the food is outstanding we was served by Nandini and Lucy they couldn't do enough for us , the service was top A1 my friend is disabled and we had lots of help getting in and out of the restaurant ... Thank you so much for an enjoyable evening we will be back and highly recommend.

What a fantastic evening we had on Sunday at Bistro Pierre. We chose from the set menu and each course was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked and served beautifully. Additionally, the service made our evening really special. Our waitresses, both bar and table, were obliging, efficient and very pleasant. Thank you so much.

Never a miss with Bistrot Pierre. They are really good with catering to my gluten and dairy intolerance. My husband and I love their wine selection. Nandini looked after us and was so helpful with our meal and took wonderful care of us. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience at Bistro Pierre last week. I visited with 2 friends who were equally impressed. Great front of house team, excellent food and delicious wine. To top it all off was the beautiful decor. I'll be back for sure!

The building is worth visiting even if just for a drink. It’s been well fitted out with good use made of the space. The staff were cheerful and attentive. We sat in a booth and the tables around us were all filled but due to the acoustics it was very easy for us to talk at a normal level and hear each other across the table. This is quite a big deal for me as when I go to places with groups of people it’s rare to be able to speak to anyone but the person next to you, due to the noise levels. I had the chorizo and the sea bream. Both were really lovely. Everyone seemed happy with their order. Would definitely return.

Such a gorgeous experience today after visiting on a whim. Was welcomed and shown to a lovely booth. Staff were friendly and informative about allergens. I had the set menu. Camembert and the chicken and it was divine! The only thing I’d say is that the curtain that is up when you walk in often gives the impression that it may not be open! Would definitely return.

What a beautifully stunning & impressive restaurant converted from a church. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Whether it be a a casual lunch or special event, this restaurant can accommodate intimidate groups to larger parties. Either way a wonderful eatery! There are also loyalty membership deals to be had, which is always an added bonus!! THANK YOU we will be back on our next visit to the area.

Always eat at bistro pierre when in Preston. Food great and deserts are on another level. Could eat two. Staff attentive and beautiful surroundings.

A favourite restaurant of my partner; the food was fantastic and our host, Nandini was very friendly and very quick with the service.

Food was fantastic with great flavours. Nandini did an amazing job of making sure we were severed promptly without being rushed. She w as incredibly kind and welcoming!

A lovely restaurant. French themed but don't expect the French way. Service was attentive but not over the top and the team there were very friendly. Drinks selection was good especially enjoyed the cocktails we tried and the food was lovely and a great choice for both myself and veggie partner. The building is amazing and works well with the restaurant. Reasonably priced and they do charge a 10% service fee but can be requested to remove. Toilets are downstairs. When back in preston we will return.

Absolutely beautiful church conversion with a great atmosphere. Food is excellent and service is great.

We went on the 30th and it was busy. However the food and the service was really good. We both had the pork really good and the Tarte tatin afterwards was so good. A big shout out to Nandini who served us was excellent really friendly and professional

Staff let me in here with my emotional support polecat and I've coming weekly every since for breakfast or a evening drink and it's extremely cheap for such a posh place abs staff are lovely and make me feel extremely welcome and the food is amazing aswell as the selection of drinks 🍸 😀 today I had a full English breakfast with a coffee and juice it was 13 pounds for everything cheaper than slugg and lettuce a rough pub down the road which is crazy when you compare the 2 places and finally a shout out to Erica a lovely lady who was highly intelligent and helpful and extremely knowledgeable about her work place aswell as customer service 😀 perfect breakfast and start to the day 😀

Although the location and building is nice with a good atmosphere inside, the food is very underwhelming. The service also felt rushed from the start as if we were being served and moved out the seats as quick as possible. Not a personal or tasty experience

Worth a try ,but a bit on the pricey

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an exceptional dining experience at Bistrot Pierrie, and much of that is thanks to Nandini's outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, she was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations added to the experience. It’s rare to find such attentive and personable service—Nandini truly made our visit special. Highly recommend!

A repurposed former baptist church.

Got a table for one with no reservation and got seated. Ordered a nice steak with some peppercorn sauce. It came with some fries and greens and ordered a coke. The staff were pretty nice. The inside of the building was very nice. It looked like an old church.

More staff training needed. Get them to ditch the ‘alright sweetheart’ for something not at all patronising. Thank you

Without doubt, the worst meal I've had in years. A tiny Camembert, followed by a "fish" dish with hardly any salmon or cod, served with fried new potatoes and tomatoes and lettuce, on a dirty plate. Disgusting.

We had a lovely breakfast here this morning on our way to the station. Delicious scrambled eggs and a bacon and egg brioche followed by a pain au raisin, it was all really good. The chap who served us was so nice too, friendly and efficient. Beautiful surroundings too in an old Baptist church, well done all round!

I came in the other day to have some food and a dessert. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff members were nice. I was served by Naz who was an absolute delight. Her service was great and her demeanor was incredibly warm and friendly!!!❤️❤️❤️ she made my experience 10 x better. I hope to see her again when I visit next.

I had the pleasure of dining at Bistrot yesterday, and I must say, the service provided by Naz was exceptional. From the moment we were seated, she was attentive and very friendly. She took the time to explain the menu, gave excellent recommendations, and made us feel welcomed throughout the entire meal. The timing between courses was just right, and she checked in to ensure we were satisfied without being intrusive. My favorite part was the dessert. After I told Naz I didn’t want something too sweet, she recommended the panna cotta, and it was perfect—light and divine.

Excellent French restaurant. We had the bread basket to start, some lovely fresh and warm French stick with French butter. For mains we had chicken chasseur and beef bourguignon. One glass of wine and two coffees for a total price of £47.60, £52.36 with discretionary service charge. Great food, great service and the coffee was the best restaurant coffee I have ever had!

The building is beautiful, I had a lovely welcome from my waitress. The food was delicious (I felt like I was in Paris), and the carafe of wine I had was extremely quaffable. Highly recommended!

Light fittings hanging from the ceiling, are looking rather dusty but as it is set in an old church, I appreciate that these would not be easy to clean.

Atmosphere is brilliant was welcomed by naz and phil which had excellent service. Food was fantastic! the drinks made by Lucy came quick just in time for the meal! will come again! :D

The food and drinks where incredible. Our server Phil ( a manager I think ) got our order down to a T. Catered to every need with was amazing. Also naz was excellent settling us down at our table and was very informative about CBP and the menu. The Bartender aswell not sure on her name (Lucy I think) made the best cocktails. Definitely returning such a lovely venue and great food and staff.

The food was amazing, the drinks were great and the venue is stunning. However, it was really cold inside, I imagine this is because it's very hard to heat with it being such a high room. I have been in other reclaimed churches and they have installed glass ceilings or heaters above the tables to solve this issue.

What a night! Went in for an early dinner and ended up having an amazing experience with the live music!! She was absolutley brilliant and it made the night! The staff where fabulous and the food was to die for! Had the specials, seabass and lamb! I would definately come back and recommend!

We ate at the restaurant on 3rd August. When we arrived, a member of staff informed us that the electricity was off in the restaurant & that the kitchen was closed. We went back 15 minutes later to check, and the issue had been fixed. 3 of the 4 guests were poorly after eating here. Only guests that ate the chicken, which my mother later disclosed was pink, were ill. My wife also said that her mashed potato had a crust, so the food is clearly not fresh (and particularly not when the electricity has been off in the kitchen.) We've tried to make arrangements with the restaurant directly to resolve this matter, but they've refused to take responsibility & communications between us, the restaurant & their H&S team has been poor. The issue has been raised with the council, so hopefully some inspections will be taking place soon to ensure that this doesn't happen to anybody else. The restaurant has still not refunded the money for the meal, despite 3 individuals becoming sick. Avoid like the plague (unless you want to know what the plague feels like...) EDIT in response to restaurant reply: - We were informed that electricity was off in the kitchen, not the lights. It only became the lights once environmental health became involved. - 30% of the 10 people that ate chicken at the restaurant became ill that day. That's alarming. - The length of time that the three members of our party whom became ill was perfectly in line with what would be expected. You are lying. - Re stool sample, as you've been told, all guests live out of area, were unable to go to a doctors as it was Saturday, and were unable to leave their homes because your food made them ill. - I have never spoken on the telephone to anybody from the restaurant. The refund isn't an issue at this stage - it's ensuring that nobody else becomes ill. Avoid at all costs.

Good lunch deals, the steak frites is fantastic , you choose how well cooked. Attentive and friendly staff who work for their tip. Also based in the grandest building in Preston, a former church with stained glass windows

My wife and I had not been to this restaurant for a couple of years and we were interested to see if it was as good as we remember. The answer was yes, the portions may be slightly smaller than they used to be but the quality of the food is still excellent. We went late on a Friday afternoon and the service provided by Liz, Lucy and Ellie was first class. I had the delicious Beef Bourguignon and my wife had the Fish Cake and Salad which she loved as it was very tasty and low calorie. We particularly liked their Picpoul de Pinet wine. The old church was very atmospheric and apart from a bit of dust in the highest places looked in great condition. We are looking forward to going back again soon.

Make the meal feel more holy when you eating in a church for proper food.

My friend and I dined there 15th August it was to celebrate our birthdays, we had a lovely girl Ellie to take our order, and as we had some offers as well she sorted that for us ,she was very helpful, we had a lovely relaxing afternoon,

Just top class food served by amazing staff in an amazing venue which is worth a visit just to see the building. My wife had chorizo in honey, (to die for,) followed by a half chicken which was amazing. I had the mackeral to start and then pork medalions, which were stunning. She had a profiteroll with sour cherrys to finish and I had an amazing cheese board. Wonderfull. See the pics.

Called in for a drink and snack on thursday, what a rip off how can they charge you £5.25 for a 33ml can of beer. They had no bottled beer or beer from the pump, the pint of beer on the drinks menu was £5.95?

We ate outside normal mealtimes hence the atmosphere could have been better but the music was great! Food was tip top and service excellent!

Really nice meal with calorie information which is really useful if weight watching. Staff lovely and couldnt be more helpful. Lovely old church with stunning interior.
