Bistrot Pierre in Preston

Staff let me in here with my emotional support polecat and I've coming weekly every since for breakfast or a evening drink and it's extremely cheap for such a posh place abs staff are lovely and make me feel extremely welcome and the food is amazing aswell as the selection of drinks 🍸 😀 today I had a full English breakfast with a coffee and juice it was 13 pounds for everything cheaper than slugg and lettuce a rough pub down the road which is crazy when you compare the 2 places and finally a shout out to Erica a lovely lady who was highly intelligent and helpful and extremely knowledgeable about her work place aswell as customer service 😀 perfect breakfast and start to the day 😀

Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Beautiful building, lovely staff, food was was well presented and lovely and hot, just not to my taste as I have a very limited palate, very very busy but nothing was too much trouble

Although the location and building is nice with a good atmosphere inside, the food is very underwhelming. The service also felt rushed from the start as if we were being served and moved out the seats as quick as possible. Not a personal or tasty experience

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an exceptional dining experience at Bistrot Pierrie, and much of that is thanks to Nandini's outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, she was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations added to the experience. It’s rare to find such attentive and personable service—Nandini truly made our visit special. Highly recommend!

Worth a try ,but a bit on the pricey

A repurposed former baptist church.

Got a table for one with no reservation and got seated. Ordered a nice steak with some peppercorn sauce. It came with some fries and greens and ordered a coke. The staff were pretty nice. The inside of the building was very nice. It looked like an old church.

More staff training needed. Get them to ditch the ‘alright sweetheart’ for something not at all patronising. Thank you

Without doubt, the worst meal I've had in years. A tiny Camembert, followed by a "fish" dish with hardly any salmon or cod, served with fried new potatoes and tomatoes and lettuce, on a dirty plate. Disgusting.

Fantastic food reasonably priced and in a lovely setting. Would definitely come back again...

We had a lovely breakfast here this morning on our way to the station. Delicious scrambled eggs and a bacon and egg brioche followed by a pain au raisin, it was all really good. The chap who served us was so nice too, friendly and efficient. Beautiful surroundings too in an old Baptist church, well done all round!

Naz serviced our table and she was so good. She made sure our orders were all right and kept filling the empty jugs of water as we were a large group.

I came in the other day to have some food and a dessert. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff members were nice. I was served by Naz who was an absolute delight. Her service was great and her demeanor was incredibly warm and friendly!!!❤️❤️❤️ she made my experience 10 x better. I hope to see her again when I visit next.

I had the pleasure of dining at Bistrot yesterday, and I must say, the service provided by Naz was exceptional. From the moment we were seated, she was attentive and very friendly. She took the time to explain the menu, gave excellent recommendations, and made us feel welcomed throughout the entire meal. The timing between courses was just right, and she checked in to ensure we were satisfied without being intrusive. My favorite part was the dessert. After I told Naz I didn’t want something too sweet, she recommended the panna cotta, and it was perfect—light and divine.

Excellent French restaurant. We had the bread basket to start, some lovely fresh and warm French stick with French butter. For mains we had chicken chasseur and beef bourguignon. One glass of wine and two coffees for a total price of £47.60, £52.36 with discretionary service charge. Great food, great service and the coffee was the best restaurant coffee I have ever had!

The building is beautiful, I had a lovely welcome from my waitress. The food was delicious (I felt like I was in Paris), and the carafe of wine I had was extremely quaffable. Highly recommended!

Light fittings hanging from the ceiling, are looking rather dusty but as it is set in an old church, I appreciate that these would not be easy to clean.

Atmosphere is brilliant was welcomed by naz and phil which had excellent service. Food was fantastic! the drinks made by Lucy came quick just in time for the meal! will come again! :D

The food and drinks where incredible. Our server Phil ( a manager I think ) got our order down to a T. Catered to every need with was amazing. Also naz was excellent settling us down at our table and was very informative about CBP and the menu. The Bartender aswell not sure on her name (Lucy I think) made the best cocktails. Definitely returning such a lovely venue and great food and staff.

We had a great time tonight, our food was delicious and service was excellent.

The food was amazing, the drinks were great and the venue is stunning. However, it was really cold inside, I imagine this is because it's very hard to heat with it being such a high room. I have been in other reclaimed churches and they have installed glass ceilings or heaters above the tables to solve this issue.

A group of us had drinks here at Bistrot Pierre. Great atmosphere, beautiful setting, inside what looks like an old church. The music was to the point. Update: Lunch Sunday Roast was delicious 😋

What a night! Went in for an early dinner and ended up having an amazing experience with the live music!! She was absolutley brilliant and it made the night! The staff where fabulous and the food was to die for! Had the specials, seabass and lamb! I would definately come back and recommend!

We ate at the restaurant on 3rd August. When we arrived, a member of staff informed us that the electricity was off in the restaurant & that the kitchen was closed. We went back 15 minutes later to check, and the issue had been fixed. 3 of the 4 guests were poorly after eating here. Only guests that ate the chicken, which my mother later disclosed was pink, were ill. My wife also said that her mashed potato had a crust, so the food is clearly not fresh (and particularly not when the electricity has been off in the kitchen.) We've tried to make arrangements with the restaurant directly to resolve this matter, but they've refused to take responsibility & communications between us, the restaurant & their H&S team has been poor. The issue has been raised with the council, so hopefully some inspections will be taking place soon to ensure that this doesn't happen to anybody else. The restaurant has still not refunded the money for the meal, despite 3 individuals becoming sick. Avoid like the plague (unless you want to know what the plague feels like...) EDIT in response to restaurant reply: - We were informed that electricity was off in the kitchen, not the lights. It only became the lights once environmental health became involved. - 30% of the 10 people that ate chicken at the restaurant became ill that day. That's alarming. - The length of time that the three members of our party whom became ill was perfectly in line with what would be expected. You are lying. - Re stool sample, as you've been told, all guests live out of area, were unable to go to a doctors as it was Saturday, and were unable to leave their homes because your food made them ill. - I have never spoken on the telephone to anybody from the restaurant. The refund isn't an issue at this stage - it's ensuring that nobody else becomes ill. Avoid at all costs.

Good lunch deals, the steak frites is fantastic , you choose how well cooked. Attentive and friendly staff who work for their tip. Also based in the grandest building in Preston, a former church with stained glass windows

Wonderful food and great company. I love the relaxed atmosphere here and the staff are both friendly and efficient. The food was well presented and beautifully cooked.

My wife and I had not been to this restaurant for a couple of years and we were interested to see if it was as good as we remember. The answer was yes, the portions may be slightly smaller than they used to be but the quality of the food is still excellent. We went late on a Friday afternoon and the service provided by Liz, Lucy and Ellie was first class. I had the delicious Beef Bourguignon and my wife had the Fish Cake and Salad which she loved as it was very tasty and low calorie. We particularly liked their Picpoul de Pinet wine. The old church was very atmospheric and apart from a bit of dust in the highest places looked in great condition. We are looking forward to going back again soon.

My friend and I dined there 15th August it was to celebrate our birthdays, we had a lovely girl Ellie to take our order, and as we had some offers as well she sorted that for us ,she was very helpful, we had a lovely relaxing afternoon,

Just top class food served by amazing staff in an amazing venue which is worth a visit just to see the building. My wife had chorizo in honey, (to die for,) followed by a half chicken which was amazing. I had the mackeral to start and then pork medalions, which were stunning. She had a profiteroll with sour cherrys to finish and I had an amazing cheese board. Wonderfull. See the pics.

Called in for a drink and snack on thursday, what a rip off how can they charge you £5.25 for a 33ml can of beer. They had no bottled beer or beer from the pump, the pint of beer on the drinks menu was £5.95?

We ate outside normal mealtimes hence the atmosphere could have been better but the music was great! Food was tip top and service excellent!

For a Friday night in a city I was surprised how quiet it was. Beer and food at a good price.

Dropped in for the 6 course tasting menu with parents and honestly - not great. Took 3 hours to serve. Opening course was supposed to be tortellini but ended up being 1/4 of a 3” goats cheese tart. To be fair the lamb main course was tasty as was the mouse. But the cheese course was dreadful and an “after eight” mint is not petit four in any sense let alone the promised “chocolate dipped palmiers” Real shame as the promise was there but the skill wasn’t. The venue, though is stunning

Let's start from the beginning, no welcoming at all, girl at the bar cold, put cutlery on the table and asked us to sit even if the table wasn't cleaned properly. The man who was our waiter was pleasant and nice, explained what was missing in the menu and took our drink order. Good selection of wine but would have expected more choices for carafes as a French place but it was only one choice. The chicken liver parfait was good, the calamari portion small and the hummus texture not good at all, needed more blending. The filet steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, I think its been cooked in bain marie so it's clever idea, my beef bourguignon needed a bit of salt and thyme. Was served in a extra hot plate, so had to wait ages for it to cool down to eat it by then the mash potato got cold and dry and to finish my pannacota was runny. No body came around to check if everything was OK with our food or if we wanted more drinks or any sauce for the steak served with chips. If this was on Monday evening I wonder how the weekend service would be. Not the worse experience but do I want to try again, not sure

sunday meal was great! beef was perfectly roasted and full of flavour, and roast potatoes were crispy and scrumptious. Also no complaints when it came to service food came out quick and manager and waitress was very nice and ensured we had a good visit. Will be returning soon

Ordered the roast topside beef meal, it was perfectly cooked with palatable flavour. The gravy was nice mixing well with the succulent beef and well portioned crispy roast potatoes. highly reccomend the staff was polite and ensured our needs were met

Love the setting, stunning decor. Staff were amazing and so lovely, could not fault the service at all. The food was full of flavour but small portions, I had mushrooms as a starter and felt like there weren't even 5 mushrooms sliced up, but was very tasty. Had beef Bourginon and again full of flavour would have liked more. I would come back again.

Friendly welcome to this beautiful venue, a former Baptist Church complete with stained glass windows. Food delicious and reasonably priced, pork medallions recommended.

Looking at the app and booking a table, we were expecting a far superior experience. On arrival we waited by door to be seated but were advised by a person behind the bar to just sit ourselves wherever. Staff were then slow to bring menus and offer to take a drinks order. The was a special on cocktails however ours were just half glasses. Food was expensive and very small portions although it was reasonably tasty. The service overall was mediocre despite very few people and for the price we paid, I expected better. On top of that a service charge was added to our bill which we could have asked to have removed but would have felt embarrassed doing so…why can’t we choose to tip if we feel the service is good enough which in this case, it wasn’t. Maybe we were expecting too much for Preston and will not return to these restaurants.

Lovely food, not overpriced, friendly helpful staff.

We meet up for meal and I though we where going somewhere nice to eat together. The food was nice and present. When we got there it seemed they didn't know how many people where on our prebooked table. The waiting on staff took longer than expected to take our drinks order, although we did have to ask for more time for the food order due to us having a catch up. It is a beautiful building and look like a nice place to dine. Unfortunately the waiting on staff and bar staff really let the place down. The drinks took longer than expected, they didn't check up on us, nor did they ask us if we wanted anymore drinks. Then when we where waiting for two desserts to come, (all glasses very empty) they took a long time and then they got them wrong. At one point there was no staff at all on the floor for 10 minutes we couldn't order and more drinks or cancel our desserts that someone wanted to forget about due to the long waiting times. Like I have mentioned the food was tasty, the venue is very interesting, but the floor staff really let things down for us and tables near by.

This place never fails to deliver. Today I had the cooked breakfast with orange juice followed by a coffee - excellent value at £12.50. The service and ambiance were faultless as ever. Paul the manager is highly professional yet friendly at the same time. Best of all was the food. The quality of the ingredients is plain to see (or taste!). Every component part of the breakfast was cooked to perfection. And it was piping hot! So many eateries fall down on this but not here at Bistrot Pierre. I have had virtually every dish on the menu now and they have all been divine, from the portion size and presentation to the quality ingredients and the serving temperature. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

This gorgeous building is just a couple of minutes walk from the railway station, so when my train was cancelled and I suddenly found myself with just over an hour to kill, I took the chance to get proper food rather than train rations! Firstly the two staff were absolutely lovely. The venue is stunning, loved the French theme. Food was right up my street - I love an Avo and Toast. Finally as the weather was so lovely I took advantage of the raised terrace to enjoy cake in the direct heat of the sun. Perfectly doable within the time I had before I went back for my train. Would recommend it.

I was disappointed with the food, I ordered smoke salmon & cod fish cake, it was supposed to come with buttered new potatoes and as you can see in the picture there was none!! Then I was overcharged!! Will not be going there again for sure!!

Great atmosphere and excellent service for our Afternoon Tea experience

Had a great time here, lunch time, sat out in the sun, 2 steaks and 2 glasses of wine. Excellent value and I must say Caitlin (don't know if I've spelt that right) deserves a special mention, absolutely lovely.
