Very disappointed after our last visit, the service was very slow, the menu never changes.The potatoes were undercooked.The waitress wasn't interested in our grievances, she tried to find excuses instead of apologizing.

You need to get your acr together. Four of us attended for breakfast to celebrate Mother's Day. From start to finish the experience was terrible. Having viewed the menu prior to visit the choice of 2 of our party was Avocado and it was disappointing to be told on arrival that this was unavailable. This also happened 2 weeks ago on a previous visit. Service was appalling and we waited an eternity for drinks and food. Drinks were of poor quality and food arrived with mistakes and omissions. There were a number of family groups, as one might expect on Mother's Day, and it was upsetting to see parents waiting for far too long for service to have to placate restless, fractious children. Overall it was a miserable experience on what should have been a happy occasion

Went for Mothers Day, service was lovely, worst roast beef Sunday dinner I’ve ever had. Even after returning, was unable to eat the beef. Also one desert failed to arrive. Shame, lovely place but won’t be returning.

It was a very good experience. I have visited many restaurants in Preston. This time I decided to have food from Bistrot Pierre. Main course was excellent. I got my food on the right time. I am very much happy that the time was not wasted. The atmosphere, another factor to enjoy the food.

It's been a while since our last visit, so we took the opportunity to drop in on a rare wander into town. A very relaxed visit with no fuss and a charming welcome. The full breakfast was perfect. A proper start to the day. Well done. See you again.

Food wasn't great and the service was poor due to very few staff members being around. I ordered fish cake with poached egg which was not great but the potatoes it came with were very hard and cold and the salad was awful. We wanted a dessert but waited too long to try to get someone's attention so decided to leave.

Bistro Pierre , Preston . Lovely atmosphere and great service . A good place to go for a date . (Especially the private booths.), or simply for fun and laughter . It’s lively . Without being too much so . The food is fabulous . Prices are fair . I have been many times . So conveniently situated , near the Railway Station. Definitely recommend a visit . 👍

Hi All Called in today for the £10 lunch Never again Luke warm food on red hot plates, is this a new way of heating up a customers food I had the french onion soup, it was boiled onions in beef stock. To make french onion soup, you caramelize the onions first so that they taste of something, then use those as base of the soup Google the recipe ! It begs the question have they ever tasted their own cooking and do they slavishly follow a recipe, without checking the flavour You all need a basic cooking lesson Shame on you

Well I must say the customer service is shocking ! We paid £80 for our meals and wanted to put points on the app, told to phone up Head Office etc , why on earth couldn’t they have addressed it there and then . Poor customer service !

Visited this stunning restaurant last week and checked out their recently launched menu ~ We tried the following: 》Coq au Vin | Marinated chicken with red wine, silverskin onions, carrots and bacon with pomme purée 》Chicken, Orange and Date Tagine | Chicken, dates, mixed olives, spiced couscous, smoked yoghurt, flaked almonds with a garlic & herb flatbread 》Calamari and Chicken Liver Parfait 》Sticky Toffee Pudding and Panna Cotta with mixed berries 》Raspberry Mojito & Longue Roche Sauvignon Blanc The mains were only priced at £10 and starters/desserts for £3.50 each, pleasantly surprised with the quality and portion sizes of the dishes that we had. The starters certainly whet our appetites, the tender meat was perfectly seasoned and the moreish desserts were to-die-for. An impressive three course meal that won't break the bank? Oh yes please! The service was second to none and made our dining experience here so delightful. Already looking forward to our next visit, I highly recommend them. Please do check 'em out along with their other outlets in Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, Eastbourne, Nottingham, Southport, Stratford-upon-Avon among others. The Dine Out for £10 Menu is available all day from Monday to Friday (including evenings) until the 9th of February.

We celebrated our Grandaughters 21st at Bistro Pierre in Preston. Our waitress was Co Co she was amazing. She above & beyond.

Popped in here last Saturday for lunch, was quickly attended to and seated, the food was lovely and delicious. CoCo who served me was an absolute joy, a credit to the place!

Great food and drink in nice surroundings, expensive but worth the price. One possible negative is the kitchen being located next to the toilets

We went at lunchtime so it wasn't to busy. The food and service was excellent, I would definitely recommend Bistrot Pierre.

Had a lovely meal to celebrate New Years! Bradley and the girls in 1920’s outfits were the assets of the night! The church is a fabulous setting to eat at too. We will be back!

The food has always been good, never had an issue with it. Just have to say some of the service is inconsistent. Always seem to have loads of staff on yet never look interested to serve, always chatting at the bar with backs to the guests.

Terrible experience. Food was cold on warm plates. Replacement was luke warm, on scalding hot plates. We declined a further recook, we had been in the restaurant 2hrs already. My turkey was dry, potatoes were soggy, all over cooked. It was disappointing to see that the kitchen were not cooking food upon request, but all prepared in bulk, in trays on the heat. Like school dinners. Bradley was a superstar, efficient courteous and apologetic. The manager was aloof, appeared uninterested and made no attempt to communicate with us. She also declined for us to use blue light card, two doctors at the table, as we were a table of 8?? We were overcharged for items offered from the app, Ie mocktails and wine. The afternoon was an expensive one. Although we thoroughly enjoyed our family time. We were given a discount.

2nd time I’ve been to this restaurant and yet again I am leaving here disappointed because of the food. The first time I came was on my birthday 4 years ago and there was a strand of hair in my meal. This second time was for my partner’s graduation celebration. The food was cold, then cold again the second time it came! Student discount or blue light card could not be used because there were 8 of us on the table even though the terms and conditions say otherwise. Only thing I am able to applaud was the service received by BRADLEY! Exceptional service provided by him! Thank you Bradley for making this dining experience a good once despite the food being a let down

had a group of 8 people come in for a graduation party - 4 of our plates were cold when handed out. after mentioning this to the waiter (who was extremely helpful) the plates were taken and brought back SCALDING HOT. Bradley however, was extremely apologetic and helpful throughout the whole meal.

We were a party of 10 - we booked the table 6 weeks prior & paid a deposit of £100.00. It was for a special Christmas get together with friends. Our table was booked for 7.00 pm - unfortunately it wasn't available till much later. Our waiter Bradley was very attentive & worked under very stressful conditions - he was exception but despite his efforts our food wasn't delivered - we were on the verge of leaving when the manageress promised to sort our order out. Our food arrived at 9.45 - minus one main - which arrived after everyone else had finished . One redeeming feature -the food was excellent .It is such a pity that the kitchen staff & management didn't work together to improve the situation .2 ladies on the next table had similar problems - 1 got no meal & the other a cold steak !!.

Sadly,are table was half hour late,took 45 mins for a drink,then sat for 2hours for starters that came cold and white pigs in blankets that were cold! The lady manager was lovely,but the gentle man argued that the pigs in blankets were suppose to be like that! After throwing the bill at are table! We left with no food. They had over booked a party of 25 apparently. The staff where shattered and way over worked.

Such a shame as a beautiful venue for lunch. Arrived as they opened, no welcome when we came in, waited 25 mins and no one came over to talk to us or ask us for drinks. Another two tables were served then. When politely asked if they could come over, the response was sharp 'well we only have 2 staff on' another 5 mins of waiting and we left. Service was appalling!

Amazing Xmas lunch with colleagues . Staff friendly and helpful and good was amazing . Gluten free options and pics are gf options. Starter was beetroot carpachio , main gammon and mash , dessert creme brulee.

I went here with my boyfriend. We got there quite late and they still let us eat. The staff were so friendly despite the hour they did everything to make sure we were happy. They had amazing positive energy and they were very funny. I don’t know their names unfortunately. The atmosphere was very cosy and the music was nice. The food was AMAZING. The only thing I’d say is my boyfriend got the rump steak and he thought it was a bit dry even though the flavour was good. (Could be his personal taste) so he got the turkey dinner like mine which we both enjoyed a lot! I’d honestly recommend anything they sell 😂 house wine was nice I got a dessert cocktail which was also amazing. Everything was fairly priced. I actually really appreciated the service (hence the review) it made us have a really amazing date night so thank you! Definitely be back (not so late)

Very disappointed, the Steak Frites was extremely tough to cut and too chewy, the steak had been cut following the grain instead of against the grain, the staff did take it back to cook further but It would never have been edable. Had to leave it and was still charged will only a slight discount. I suggest they have their chef attend a butchery course. Sorry but will not be back.

Friendly staff. Steak was cooked perfectly. Especially difficult with how thin the cut was.

Took forever to get served. Had to ask twice for drinks. Food was cold and when the reheated meal came out we found hair on the plate, and when I complained (nicely). They looked and treated us like we were in the wrong. Poor poor service and food was very average

Excellent little bistro pub/restaurant just near Preston train station. Popped in while waiting for the train back home after a day out in Lancaster/Preston. Was shown to our table and service was very quick and friendly. Lovely atmosphere music in background but not to loud, there is seating outside too as it was 5pm ish we chose to sit inside. Will definitely call in again next time I'm in Preston.

An awful place, food was cold, staff not friendly and wait for it……they rip you off with a SERVICE CHARGE. Make sure you check your bill.

I was a bit disappointed during my last visit. We opted for the 6 course menu as a family of 4. The service was not as good as the previous visit. We felt very rushed and none of us enjoyed the dessert. It just doesn't feel as special as it used to. The toilets here can be really disgusting, so be warned!

Quality on the decline. I had the hummus which was bland and the squash risotto which was v strange more like a soup . Such a shame use to be great

Lovely food and the steak and frites my mum had was amazing!! The burger tasted lovely and had a hand cooked taste. Very nice treacle sponge and look forward to next meal. The main feedback I have is that the food took an hour to arrive and having to watch tables who arrived after us get their food before us all across the restaurant was frustrating. We asked for a 2nd drink that didn’t turn up. We then started running towards 2 hours when I asked about dessert and was happy to cancel but there are obviously staffing issues and no one comes back to say they are looking into it. I’m super patient but 2 hours for a meal. I felt sorry for the single waitress doing everything.

Couldn't rate the service on Saturday night any higher. The waiting staff are a total asset to the restaurant and the lovely waitress that evening made my weekend. Thank you very much for a fab night. I give 5 stars for the team! I have only taken a star off my overall review because I found the food a little average and the music and lighting was a bit harsh - but I am a fussy pregnant lady at the moment!

Really nice food. Great atmosphere. Have been 3 times now and the steak is to die for. The service could be better, staff are quite slow and I have known overcharging to happen when reviewing the bill. I'm sure it was an honest mistake but still worth checking that you are getting what you pay for. Cannot stress enough that visually the place is stunning, it's an church that has been converted into a restaurant.

I mean, it was OK, the food was acceptable and satisfactory but I was hoping it would be really good, so I did end up disappointed as it didn't meet my expectations :( Such a lovely building as well! Bit of a shame but never mind!

I visited the Preston location during a work trip with colleges (13 Sept 2023). On our reservation it was clearly stated that one person has Celiac's Disease (myself). I was identified when we were shown our table and the staff went over the menu with me. So far things seemed good...and that's where it stopped sadly. The rest of our party arrived and we flagged down a member of the staff so that we could order some starters before our meal. I ordered the baked Normandy Camembert Gluten Free. I then re-stated gluten free option please, this caused comment by a coworker of mine teasing so it was clearly heard and understand when the wait staff said "sure, okay". When the starters came out I didn't think to again need to ask as menu had been gone over, i wrongly assumed the staff understood that I had celiacs which is a major food allergy, and I had clearly ordered the item gluten free. I didn't get through my first 2-3 bites of the starter and a short conversation and within roughly 5 minutes I was in your toilet vomiting. On my way back to the table I stopped a member of staff to ask if my starter was gluten free and I got told "no, why?" I stated that I had celiacs and I was now painfully ill. The staff offered in panic to get me medicine, there is no medicine to stop this reaction once it starts but only to treat and manage the symptoms the best that one can or a trip to Emergency (A&E). I stayed at the restaurant for roughly another 20-30 minutes, visiting the toilet to be ill a couple more times, before I felt I could leave and make it back to my hotel before being ill again and hoping that I would be able to stop throwing up. I asked before leaving if they would be taking the starter that was prepared wrong off the bill and I got told not to worry by the staff. I later was informed that it wasn't removed but the table was given 20% off the bill. While I am sure my coworkers appreciated this gesture, I do not. They were able to still enjoy what sounded like a lovely meal as none of them have a food allergy and weren't affected by the events other than my need to run to the toilet and early departure of the evening. The poor practice of the staff and kitchen in execution for a major and very reactive food allergy that will take my intestines and stomach months to heal is extremely disheartening and disappointing. I understand that some people chose to eat a gluten free diet as other chose to eat a meat and animal free diet, but different to those that chose to be plant based, Celiac's is a major allergy and causes severe internal damage that doesn't just pass over or get cured with an EPI pen. I ask that you please educate your staff and kitchen better or do not offer gluten free so that no one else has to get sick and go through what I have had to deal with on account of visiting one of your restaurants in the future.

The food was amazing , and the service was great.

Food was absolutely beautiful the flavours were unreal 😍 the staff where quite slow and came across as arrogant the place wasn't even busy and they was very slow, we had to ask them for drinks after being in quite a while, we walked in nobody greater us even though they was all stood around the bar area talking, we asked where should we sit was told find our own then waited ages for them to come give us a menu or take drinks orders but the venue was lovely and food quality unreal

The place has got its character and the food is superb. We've been twice and never been disappointed by the food. Unfortunately both tome the service was painfully slow. So slow that during our last visit, on Sunday, we left without ordering dessert as we got bored from the waiting.

Restaurant appeared to be half full so was surprised how slow the service was. Food was ok but not brilliant. Sadly this is very similar to the review o gave them 5 years ago. Hope it improves in another 5 years as its a great venue with a lot of potential!

Tuesday evening. Quiet, but still had to wait 50 minutes for our food. Wouldn’t have minded if we’d been kept informed, or given some bread. Only the woman that greeted us on arrival had any customer service skills. We were meant to be celebrating, but it all fell rather flat.

Really lovely place with great service and nice food.

First and last visit. Disappointed with waiting times from ordering drinks to starter, which arrived after the main meal. Not busy for Friday and lacked atmosphere. The one and only female waitress was very good and attentive and clearly interested in her job, Unfortunately the same can't be said of other staff. It's hard to comprehend why people go into hospitality and not only lack personality, but forget the basics ...listen to the customer when taking their order.

We went around 7pm mid week it was quiet but I thought it was a nice place. You can go in just for a drink which I didn't know till we went in. The prices are pretty standard but not cheap.

Amazing venue in a former church. Steak fries and included peppercorn sauce was delicious. Having a properly dressed salad was a lovely change from pub style mustard dressing everywhere else. Was asked if I wanted my steak rare or well done. Hope no one ever asks for bavette well done. Children's options and activities were very good but the peas were definitely suffering from freezer burn and told my two not to eat them. Our first waitress seemed like she had a late night the night before or had an early start and was yawning in between visiting our table. Later on waiting staff seemed to either be offering authentic french service or didn't think we would want extra drinks/water/ketchup etc. Not sure why. Not the best way to get a tip which was included on the bill anyway. Maybe that answers the question about the service. Hope they can keep going with so many covers in the centre of Preston. Will be our go to place next time we are in town shopping. Just hope the servers have had a few espressos next time.

Thought it would a lot nicer… unfortunately as we stopped today for a drink and a quick bite, had to asked to be served as no one came to see as even though they were already busy with other people arriving after us. Once served they never gave us cutlery. The toilets were blocked and those not blocked didn’t have any soap. The humus was nice 👍

Had to wait a while to be seated but it was worth the wait. I wouldn't say the menu is expensive but what they serve is appetising and well cooked. Prices are average. Staff are very friendly. Worth visiting.

Lively bistro in impressive historic building. Be warned, there’s a lot of stairs! Food a bit ordinary but atmosphere makes for a good evening. Pleasant outdoor terrace too.
