We went for lunch and were the first people in. Its a big space and clean tables. They were out of specials which was strange as it was Saturday. The service was pleasant. Both meals were very nice , well cooked. A huge amount of chicken came off the half a chicken meal.

Visited Bistrot Pierre last night for the first time in years. It’s not as good as it used to be (sadly, a sign of the times) and there were a few hiccups with the food. The asparagus starter was so small it was laughable, the mains were pretty average and again, on the stingy side portion wise. The desserts were arguably the best course. I must add that the service we received from waitress Chantelle was fantastic. She was rushed off her feat all evening but made such an effort to ensure we were happy!

Really tasty dishes packed with flavour and excellent customer service. House wine rather overpriced but local bottled beer good value for money.

Only went for a couple of pints but reasonable prices, nice setting and great service. Next time I'm in Kidderminster and fancy a pint, I'd go back.

Very disappointed. I have visited several times before. On this occasion I felt that I was ripped off. I don't mind spending money if I feel like I am getting value for money. Nearly £8 for 1 piece of bread wit a few mushrooms on it. £15 for the world's smallest chicken breast. 1 small portion of mash and a few mushrooms. To top it off the chicken was so dry and flavour less that I sent it back and did not have a main meal. Again dessert was lovely but tiny fir the price. Dint get me started on the price of the wine.... £12 for 1 glass.... Never going back. Do yourselves a favour and go to witherspoon instead...

Please just close down ! It's sad to watch, you had your day years ago and now your just a shadow of what you once where ! Crap beer, Crap food ! Nothing compared to what it used to be like years ago. Shabby tired interior, under staffed, terrible food. Just a waste of money now !

Really quirky place with lovely staff

Really gone downhill in recent years. Used to be good when they did 2 for 1. Now it’s really grubby and dirty. Cobwebs everywhere, the menu doesn’t have many options and the portions are small. I remember when you used to get real fresh bacon on the hunters chicken! Avoid!

Very good, very beautiful setting. I had a steak and fries and as a Belgian I expected bigger fries (and therefore obviously fatter). No Irish coffee on the menu but they made it for me anyway, thank you. Very helpful staff who took the time to advise me on the transport strike the next day. I was inside but there is a nice terrace by the canal. I recommend

Really deteriorated since last visit. Chicken liver pate still good but now served with hard, thin toasted bread. Chicken Normandy ok but not as good as previous chicken mains. Dauphinoise a bit burnt.

Would not recommend for breakfast. We were seated at a table, asked if we wanted to order drinks which we did. Our drinks took over 20mins to arrive. There were only 4 other tables in the restaurant. We ordered our breakfasts, to be told they had no sausages for a breakfast. This should have been said when we were seated. I opted for the veggie breakfast instead, my partner had the standard breakfast, he was offered extra bacon or eggs in exchange for not having sausages. After ordering our drinks finally arrived. We then waited 30mins for our breakfasts to arrive. The standard breakfast looked dry and was over cooked. The veggie breakfast was abysmal. Poached eggs were very under cooked, I was given bread and not toast with no butter. The avocado was brown and I also found egg shell in my food. The new potatoes were barely cooked. We did complain, I was offered another breakfast to which I refused. The veggie breakfast and my drink were taken off our bill. When we asked for the bill, we then waited another 15mins for the bill to arrive. At this point there were only 3 other tables including us in the restaurant. Customer service could be improved also.

We were celebrating 🍾 friends 75th birthday. The lovely lady who served us was from Derby. Unfortunately I cannot remember her name. But was so pleasant efficient and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The only criticism was it was very cold in the restaurant.

Visited for lunch. Very happy with choice and standard of food but service was terribly slow. Had to ask a server to check on progress with our dessert as time was running out for the car park. Unfortunately not enough staff to cope with the busy Sunday lunchtime rush.

Booked a table for weekday lunch with friends. Never visited before and we were very impressed. Menu ok with plenty of choice. Service very good but atmosphere a bit lacking but probably due to low numbers of clients

Food is decent although at a price ( just over £20 for a burger and apple juice ) servers were friendly. Very quiet atmosphere so great if you want to eat in peace. Expect a surprise 10% service charge to be popped onto your bill when you go to pay. All-round ok experience

Was originally planning a breakfast and have to admit was gutted when the waitress told us, only served till 12 but have to admit, prawn starter and steak were amazing as was the wifes fishcake...

We had the fixed price menu. A couple of options were unavailable but the choices we did have were well cooked, tasty, and felt like good value. Service was great too

Service and venue is great, although the Christmas dinner I would not recommend, turkey roll not even a real turkey all frozen food pretty much no taste deserts was nice but all very over priced

Celebrated my brother's 80th birthday with a party of 15 of us. The food was great but could have been more choice on the menu. Service was really good with so many of us. Will certainly visit again.

Really looked forward to an afternoon tea with friends sadly our experience left us disheartened. Upon arrival a friendly server took our orders and explained that unlimited hot beverages were included in the afternoon tea. We were baffled to be told there were no teaspoons available as they "were all in the wash" this was a Saturday afternoon and we were one of three tables which we found amusing as we were given table and dessert spoons to choose from. When our food arrived I was surprised to find my vegetarian options were served on the same plate as the meat, I'm not one to cause a fuss but others might. We had to constantly ask for more cutlery, napkins, a 2nd refill (which took a long time to receive after being left on the bar and were cold when we received them) and plates- the staff weren't attentive. One couple walked and stood waiting to be seated a few mins before someone noticed, it was so awkward as at this point there were only 2 tables in use. We asked for our bill and they charged us for the refills and a service charge, they removed the refills without question (do they deliberately try and overcharge!) I might try another branch but not Kidderminster.

Had an awful meal Friday 17th November 2023. A tasteless steak served with a few bits of Romaine Lettuce and chips, and a Coq Au Vin which was a dry chicken breast on top of mash potato and what looked like a pre made sauce. The food came out to us in a couple of minutes, I said to the waitress it was quick and she said the steak only takes a minute to cook....so how fresh was the Coq Au Vin sauce. When the waitress eventually came back to our table I asked if it was lettuce with my steak and she laughed and say yes they didn't have the ingredient it was supposed to be served with so the chef used lettuce!!!! Why didn't she tell us that when it was ordered. At £17.95 for a main you'd expect good quality, tasty food.....it was NOT!!! , dry tasteless food cooked in less than 2 minutes...we won't be going back

Warm welcome and quiet lunchtime, for a tasty £10 lunch of very good food. Coq au vin and Pork medallions. No room for dessert! We would definitely return.

Ordered the sirloin which had great flavour but was quite a chewy cut. Service was pretty poor, brought the wrong cocktail and our waitress yawned often during the course of ordering food and removing plates. The restaurant itself was a great place to be in however due to the styling

Visited recently for lunch for my wife’s birthday. We had a good experience although, like most places these days, there was minimal staff and although they were trying their best service was a little slow as a result. Would have loved to try a desert but didn’t want the wait in the end.

Went for Sunday lunch today, had the Roast Beef, it is probably the worst cut of beef we have ever had, all fat and grissel, hardly chewable, complained to the waitress who was very apologetic, very disappointing. Have had great meals there before, but sadly this time nowhere near the standard.

I love the decoration of this place. Brought my gran and son here for lunch. Had steak and chips and they were tasty. Nice service. Very quiet for a sat afternoon which was nice too. Prices are a bit steep - but they are everywhere at the moment so can't blame that on the business.

Very quiet time of day when visited so it's hard to comment on atmosphere however the experience was professional but relaxed and friendly. Food was delicious and would highly recommend.

Food not good, meat dry and chewy. To much salt. Dessert was bad. They just don't know how to do french cuisine.

Nice location next to the river. Starters and desert were spot on but the Frites were stogy and the fillet of beef burnt on the outside but perfect on the inside. Will go back again.

Great French inspired restaurant in Central Kidderminster. Perfect for a civilised healthy lunch in modern very clean surroundings. Comfortable seating, well presented tasty food and drinks. Lower priced lunch time offerings. If its a busy night, not easy to hear your conversation so I choose lunchtimes.

A little bit empty but didn't mind as I thought it was going to be really busy as the schools are off. Lovely food & thought the lunchtime deal was really good, but only had 2 courses, as 3 would have been too much. Would recommend & now that I have joined the Loyalty scheme, will be going again soon 😊

There was a long wait because there was a large party, but there was only 1 chef for the main meals. The staff were amazing & kept us well informed, but when my husbands steak turned up, it was fatty & and chewy, so it got sent back. We also saw other meals being returned. We were given a discount but we won't be going back.

We have been several times so decided to try the Soiré gastronomic. Well! Absolutely divine. Six courses of the most beautiful food. Attentive waiter and waitress. An evening to remember. We even booked in for the next one in two weeks. Can't wait.... Very good food, very reasonable prices.

The food was expensive for very small portions. The 8oz rump looked the size of a mushroom about 4oz at best. The place had about 40 tables only 6 were occupied, I went to the bar to order some drinks and told someone would come and take our order , 5 minutes passed and a nice waitress took our order, 10 minutes later our drinks finally arrived. That was the best and fastest service . The next drink took 20 minutes to arrive. I wouldn't mind but no one else was drinking in the place. Then to rub salt in the wound, hit me with10% service charge. My wife's French fries were over done, and for me the the whole meal was over rated and over priced with piss poor service . Why call it a French restaurant when no one was French. Only the French know how to cook French food properly. So finally to the owner you won't last long providing food and service like that.

Visited on the off chance after having a procedure at Kidderminster. No one to be found upon arrival and waited a couple of minutes before lady appeared to seat us. She seemed friendly enough. We both went for 3 courses. Starters were OK 👍 but my main of Beef Bourgionon was just lukewarm and not hot. Both work in the industry and was most certainly not re heated to 75 degrees as the law states. Didn't get a check back after our food was delivered so didn't get a chance to send it back. I'm to polite to make a fuss! But wasn't very impressed with the service either. Once billed was overcharged and the 3 courses was not on there. Once addressed with the server She went and changed the bill. Felt very rude to include a service charge when we never received food service or food. Oh well won't be back! Advise your Chefs how to use a microwave correctly and that all food especially High risk meat dishes must be heated to at least 75degrees or you could end up making someone very unwell.

Excellent in everyway. Great service and delicious food overall and free parking nearby after 1800, probably just needed one more waitress/waiter to get seated quicker and drinks. Highly recommended though.

Great place to dine. For some reason it sits in the shadow of the Tapetto Lounge next door, but in my view Bistrot Pierre is a much better place.

Waited more than 5 mins to be greeted at the door and seated. Once seated, we waited 25 minutes more, then walked out as nobody had come to take an order, not even for drinks.

Very slow service. Mediocre food. Steak frites was very stringy and chewy. 15 pounds for that! And we had to manually hail down a server in order to pay the bill. Not coming here again

We enjoyed the food when it finally arrived. Unfortunately there appeared to be a staffing issue as both hot courses appeared to have been waiting under the hot plate, causing a skin to form on both the starter and main course sauces. After a twenty minute wait for dessert and a gentle reminder the cold dessert was served. At no point we’re we advised of the likelihood of poor service. This spoiled a not cheap meal.

Bit pricy, for the portion size. Left hungry. Service was good, had a nice selection of wine. Atmosphere is good when you're not the only one there.

You could get more on the plate for your money. Food is a bit overpriced for what it is. The beer they serve is top quality. Again high priced but it tastes good.

Fantastique. I've lived in the area for years and never once thought to try the establishment. Went with family on a whim and was very impressed by the kindness and calibre of the staff who made us all feel welcome, catered for as well as consistently making the experience worthwhile. The decor is very welcoming and seating is spacious even during busy times. My food was thoroughly cooked and tasted unlike anything I have tried before, despite it being my typical safe choice of a burger, in addition to being very well presented. Certainly worth the price will definitely be returning and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Kidderminster area. Once again my compliments to the waiters/waitresses, chefs and managers for making us all feel so welcome.

We had a delicious Sunday lunch, pork belly, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, red cabbage, roasted carrot, brocoli, and plenty of gravy!! We enjoy it very much great service too
