Wanted a light hot meal and the board outside said pasta was on offer. The otherwise lovely young waitress had to ask, as the menu didn't mention pasta at all. It also had 2 or3 spelling mistakes. Anyway - the pasta was delicious when it arrived. They also had non-dairy milk available for my coffee. Not local but would return if in the area again

We went to bishops cafe on Saturday lunch time, we sat outside with our little sausage dog. I had the bishops nash breakfast. Absolutely beautiful, can’t recommend enough. Will be back real soon!

Love this place - sandwiches are great quality. I always order the no. 5 which is the chicken schnitzel with coleslaw and my husband orders the salt beef. It's a real gem in Loughton.

The coffee is my favourite Illy, I have only had bagels there and I loved them, someone had scrambled eggs on toast and said that they enjoyed them.

We’ve been using this Indian takeaway for over 20 years, about 12 years ago we had a not great meal, that’s the only time in 20 years. Not many restaurants would match that. Great food great service and good value. Try the Tandoori mixed grill.

Had the best time at Eden’s on Friday for a surprise private party for my daughter who was visiting from Los Angeles. The atmosphere was fun, cozy and the bar staff were warm and friendly. Steve the owner was brilliant! He was so lovely and made sure that everything went perfectly! Also making us amazing cocktails! The drinks were fantastic and Eden’s is wonderful place that I would highly recommend:) will be coming back again :)

Went in for an impromptu lunch on a Saturday afternoon as a party of 3 including an infant. Was seated immediately by a rather timid server. We weren’t offered any baby chair so I parked up our small pram and spent the rest of our experience juggling them on my lap (not great but fine). We ordered some robata options as well as the tempura prawns and the lunch option of the bao buns. The robata we ordered consisted of the chicken thigh and the wings. Both were absolutely delicious! If I had to be a bit picky I would have liked the wings with a little more char on them but they were delightful. Each had about 3 portions (cubes or wings) on a skewer. The tempura prawns was again amazing. The batter was light, airy and not greasy and I could have happily ordered another portion as we were unfortunately sharing. My companion had the bao buns on the lunch option which was 3 varieties. I did partake in a bite of chicken katsu which was nice enough but the chicken was not up to the same standard as the robata. I would recommend this place in a heart beat and unlike the bustle of Epping high street is a nice and serene little place with narrow seating but a simple atmosphere and more importantly tasty food at a reasonable price.
