We had big breakfasts and macaroni cheese and chips. Food was lovely, very tasty. Barry the owner was great too. Highly recommend. We will be in again.

First time I’ve tried Barry’s Beef Chilli and it was absolutely delicious. I make a good Chilli but his was as good if not better. The Southern Chicken Wrap now has a contender for favorite. Thanks Barry, service with a smile as always.

Nothing is too much trouble for friendly Barry, who owns and runs this operation. Any variation to what is already a tempting menu is no bother. It’s a modest snack van with parking spaces and is a regular (often daily) pit stop for many. A lot of new customers soon become regulars when they taste his food. The weekly ‘specials are exactly that, good value, very popular and absolutely delicious. You won’t regret giving Birrell’s a try. Tell Barry ‘Jake’ sent you. Spotted Birrells Kitchen as we drove into Dunfermline, hungry and ready for a quick bite. We turned into Pittencrief Park and crossed the road to find Barry was just closing up. He happily offered to serve us and told us what he had ready to go. One bacon roll and one square sausage roll were quickly prepared. Great value, very tasty and fantastic service. Next time we're passing we'll get there earlier to try something else from the menu.

Alongside a cracking menu of all your breakfast goodies, there is also a weekly special that has never failed to hit the spot. Stopped in for some macaroni cheese today and have to say it was amazing, I love my own Mac cheese, the one from Barry was better than my own 🤬 Need to go back for more now before it is off the menu again! Wonderful food and service, never disappoints 😃

I am usually up here once a week for a visit. Never been disappointed, food is great as is the prices and the service. I have asked for eggs Benedict and smoked salmon to be added to the menu and he hasn't followed through on this though, I have extremely fine tastes due to residing in the Infamous Inverkeithing Triangle, I would rate as 12/10 if the proprietor did that.

If you were brought up on traditional Scottish breakfasts then their is no better place to grab a quick tasty bite than Birrells'. The guy always does that wee bit extra to make your order better than expected. And great service as well, certainly no complaints from me.

I go to see Barry most weekdays for a breakfast roll or muffin. Can't beat the food and his prices are very good as well. Would highly recommend the specials menu as well - changes weekly and he has some crackers on there. Minute steak sub and in particular the southern fried chicken wrap - probably the best thing I've had to eat there in the year and a half I've been there. Superb!

Truly amazing lunch as per usual. Stopped in on the way past this afternoon with with and son and got the spicey chicken burger with bacon, cheese, Lettuce, onion rings and hash brown. It was outstanding. Highly recommend to anyone. Great service, great prices and great food.

Entered the premises with work colleague ordered a roll on square. Roll was a cheap roll and so was the sausage. Disappointing. Also disappointed that my previous review has been taken down

Can’t beat Barry’s cooking and friendliness . Love my weekly treat before hospital visits , his food keeps me going :-)

Visited based on TripAdvisor reviews and Barry did not disappoint. Great chat, freshly cooked and even takes off the bacon fat if you want ! New favourite for a tasty great value takeaway during the morning/early afternoon.

Pass this place most days but today being hungry & in a rush we stopped for something to eat. Best burger we have had in a long time, great quality & well cooked. Been in actual restaurants where the food was not as good as here. Barry himself is a lovely chatty guy and the selection on the menu is extensive with good prices. Will definitely be making a return visit soon.

Since my last visit when I moaned about Barry NOT being open at weekends, he's listened to his customers and is now doing limited Saturday opening 8-12 up until Christmas and may continue this into 2019 if there is sufficient demand. It's been quite convenient for me and I've been a couple of times, once on the way to work and another time with friends on our way to Comic Con in Edinburgh. Also great for the Saturday morning runners! The menu has expanded too. Since my last visit I've sampled the chicken wrap, and Barry has now added MUFFINS to his breakfast offering. The egg and bacon toasted muffin with cheese slice rivals anything you'll find at a big chain restaurant at a fraction of the price, plus it is freshly cooked to order so no sitting under hot lights. I still need to try more of Barry's lunches. The chilli and macaroni cheese look to die for. Best to check the Birrells Kitchen page on Facebook for opening times and current specials. Yet another great feed, exactly what we wanted to kick start the day. Although I only wanted a bacon roll it was jammed full of bacon and Sophs haggis and bacon roll went down a treat. Thanks Barry!! Roll with it!!!!

I wouldn't go anywhere else for my breakfast or early lunch. It's freshly cooked as you wait, great prices, great menu and great banter.

Excellent breakfast or lunch. Good banter and such a nice guy cooking called Baz. Nice local eatery just out of the dunfermline town. If you feeling peckish it is definitely a good place to stop to keep you going through the morning or afternoon
