Birds Nest Chinese Takeaway in Leeds

Been using this take away for years and was very good but tonight I ordered a special chow mien and it wasn’t cooked the were like they had come straight out of a packet not cooked rang up tried to tell me they were fried even though I haven’t ordered Fried and the noodles were white and dry very poor customer service and inedible food will not use again even though I was a long serving customer

have been going here for over 30 years was always great food until original owner retired/left food has gone down hill beef was streaked with fat and had to throw all beef in the bin, curry sauce was watery, chips were cold, portion size were smaller, shame because it was one of the best around will not order again unless original owner comes back!!

Flavours were great, portions small. Ribs very little meat on, but sauce was amazing. Spring rolls tasted good, prawn toast not greasy. No filling in the won tons, big let down. Was the combination starter worth the £8.30, possibly not.

Burnt fried rice , special curry not that special. meat very rubbery. Curry more like gravy. As gone down hill since taken over by New owners, and to top it off the prices have gone up

I was given the wrong meal and was told the chow mein was supposed to have crispy noodles. It looked like ramekin packet noodles that had been half cooked. They gave me beef instead of pork. I asked nicely just for a refund on my noodles as the chips were OK and the curry sauce was ok. Don't eat here.

Terrible food ! ..Not ordered for a while from here but it's clearly microwaved re-heated ..I live a stones throw away and the food was stone cold before id eaten half ..Never again ! Avoid..

Can’t even get order details right. Ordered beef yet sent chicken. Rang up to try and resolve and there was nothing done about it. Poor service

Such a shame. This used to be one of the best Chinese takeaways around here but everything has fone down hill. Used to do the most amazing crispy spring rolls full of filling and flavour now there is this strange almost cake texture to them. Ruined. I assume its under new management. This has happened a couple of times and it always goes down hill. Where is Ying??

Flabbergasted i got served raw noodles in my chowmein and got told I need to specify I wanted them cooked so they was soft ? Guys learn how to cook and while you're there learn some manners. I wasn't offered a refund or food exchange. 100% WILL NEVER RETURN 🤮

Absolutely disgusting food when arrived home to find wrong order the woman on the phone was not having any thing to do with it was half the portion i will not be going again please do waste your hard earn money the meal was cold aswel very rude woman it will be closed down soon absolutely disgusting food

Been slowly getting worse of the last few weeks about 4/5 months ago amazing but tonight was only just edible. Don't know what happened.

Not a bad take away. Nothing fancy but I’ve had decent results so far

Normally the food is fantastic and I we wouldn't go anywhere else but unfortunately tonight my quarter duck with pancakes was not up to standard. Half of my duck was fat or soft skin, it's supposed to be crispy duck. I hope this improves next time. On the plus side our prawn spring rolls were out of this world.

service is is rubbish tell you to collect at 18.45 and have you waiting 45 mins in shop after youve ordered

First time of ordering ordered crispy chicken balls and they tasted like they've been washed in dirty dish water will never go back again

Nice food just order and understand same name different types of food

Fabulous food, my son regularly has plain noodles and egg fried rice, I alternate my dish I have but they are all really nice, the meals are cooked fresh and the wait time is usually 10 mins or less. They also deliver and the delivery time is only 20 mins. Really friendly and long serving Chinese takeaway in Armley

Used this Chinese for years, literally. Nothing else compares. The food is always great and the family who run it are such lovely people too. There is no other Chinese takeaway for us

Good not the best and expensive

Disappointing. Ordered fried chicken kung po with fried rice, chips and salt and pepper chicken. The kung po chicken was not fried and came with a sweet msg infused sauce that is was like no kung po I've ever had. Barely a handful of meat padded out with veg. Small portions all round, the salt and pepper chicken tested neither of salt or pepper. Go to Canton Cuisine on Tong road instead.

Such a shame. Discovered this place a few months ago and was blown away with the food quality but unfortunately their standards seem to have dropped, I'm even wondering if it's changed hands. We've had a few weeks break so ordered tonight as a make or break, the menu is now in the bin, such a shame because it was perfection and good takeaways are hard to find.

Standards dropped had a meal last night onion rings not cooked properly neither was the rice .Delivery driver snatched money out of hand and walked of without offering change.Don't think i'll be useing again .

Ordered tea came to £30 when it came over an hour later it was cold and had one of the main meals missing, tried ringing back and message on the phone said mailbox full can't take any more messages then line went dead. When I eventually got back through it took another half an hour to send rest of meal which was the wrong one when it came and was also cold so everything needed reheating in the microwave. Not impressed and excuse I got was there busy with customers in the shop Won't be ordering again.

Horrible take away... I ordered chicken wings and they were full of salt, did not look fresh and that it had been made time ago. I called birds next to complain, the only thing that they said they could do, was give me a bag of crackers. I told them that I was not calling to get the crackers, but I wanted my money back coz I was not happy with the food. The lady simply said “I do apologise that you are not happy but there’s nothing that I can do, thank you for ordering from Birds nest” I don’t here are you going to hang up the call, she said no but we are now closed. It was my first time ordering from them, and will never order again!!!😔

Not sure whats happened(Change of cook etc) but everything is salty, seriously gutted as it was the best chinese ever. How your menu can change so dramatically is beyond me!
