Beautiful food for their Christmas menu. Six satisfied customers. The macaroni cheese topped with pigs in blankets was very filling and flavoursome. Nice traditional pub atmosphere.

Had lunch here here today and tried the Hake and chive mash with vegetables and I must say it was excellent and cooked to perfection, highly recommended

Really good and interesting range of vegetarian food. Came for Sunday lunch and managed to get very tasty veggie food but with all the traditional trimmings. Fab.

We had booked ahead as five of us were meeting for a reunion. The manager Jon was really helpful, guaranteeing us a nice table in the bay window so we could admire the view and assured us we would not be rushed off. And indeed it was just so - the staff were really friendly and made us very welcome. We enjoyed our meals and sat having coffee and drinks, chatting away. The pub was friendly, clearly loved by locals too. Thanks so much for making it a special occasion for us all - we had travelled from County Durham to meet with Nottingham friends and it was all we hoped for.

My husband and I stopped off for Sunday Lunch today. This was our first visit since being under new ownership. We had two turkey dinners and chocolate fudge cake for dessert. The red cabbage on the dinner was the best I’ve had in a long time - compliments to the chef. The waitress was friendly, professional, and delivered our food promptly. All in all a great service, great food, at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend and will be returning.

Dropped into the Bird in Hand several times while I was staying in Blidworth - what a brilliant pub! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the service is swift and the pub food is excellent and very good value. The view from the garden or inside the pub, looking through the big, wide windows is just lovely. You can see for miles across the fields. Saw an excellent live band there one night and watched a board games evening another time. Great atmosphere and obviously a place much enjoyed by locals. Highly recommended. (PS Good wine selection too!)

Been here a few times when passing through to grab something to eat. The food has always been lovely. The staff are dead friendly and welcoming and the price is very reasonable too.

We have been for a few family meals and evening drinks and we love this little pub! The food is great, and the service is friendly and attentive. The beer garden has a great view and well behaved dogs are welcome. We will keep coming back!

A last minute lunch booking for 18 ! All went very smoothly for such an important gathering. The food , drinks and service were all top. Always find the staff including landlord and land lady very friendly, attentive and willing to accommodate. We will definitely be revisiting as a couple and as a group.

Fab pub, fab views and wonderfully inclusive landlord and landlady. This pub really does go out if it's way to put things on for the community and they've breathed life back into the place 😊
