Great wee place with bags of character. Staff were very friendly and the food was super fresh and tasty. Remember to leave room for one of the homemade cakes! Go on, give it a go. You won't be disappointed.

Very pleasant tavern restaurant. The waitress was very friendly. Short break during a heavy downpour. Good IPA and excellent filled rolls. Not to spoil anything, excellent music.

We waited with kids for 20 minutes for nothing today, even rare costumers seen, so NOT a familyfriendly place....

We arrived around 2PM on a Saturday and were shown to a table by our lovely waitress. As a vegan and vegetarian haven, this cafe knows how to please! The menu is fantastic and I noted the fairtrade Karma Cola on the menu - a big thumbs up for that. We ordered from the street food section - the Overloaded Hotdog and Falafel Souvlaki. My bulletproof coffee arrived first - pure bliss. My partner opted for the self-service still water, keeping it simple and refreshing. The cafe's vibe is incredibly calm and relaxing, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some seriously delicious food. If you're in Aberdeen and are vegan, vegetarian or just looking for a great meal, BioCafe is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Fui a almorzar con mi hija vegetariana cuando la visité recientemente. Ella estaba ansiosa por probar este lugar, ya que sabe que comeré felizmente vegano / vegetariano, aunque no lo soy. Las impresiones iniciales estaban bien. No estaba ocupado, pero la única mesa libre era una mesa baja con asientos tipo butaca, que es menos que ideal para comer. Había mesas abajo, pero no hay luz natural y era un día soleado precioso, así que tomamos la mesa baja. Por suerte mientras esperábamos que llegara nuestra comida una mesa más adecuada quedó vacante así que nos pasamos a ella. Teníamos que limpiarlo nosotros mismos y nadie vino a limpiarlo para nosotros. El lugar no estaba ocupado, pero esperamos mucho tiempo a que llegara nuestra comida. No teníamos prisa, pero la espera fue muy notable. Mi comida llegó primero y mis hijas bastantes minutos después. Aprecio la comida es fresca y preparada para pedir, pero es una manera básica de servir a las personas que comen juntos al mismo tiempo. La comida era buena. Particularmente me gustó el revuelto de tofu. Para mí la experiencia fue una mezcla de bolsas. Si la mesa se hubiera limpiado y limpiado y hubiéramos recibido nuestra comida al mismo tiempo, habría dado 4 estrellas.

I had been wanting to try this place for a long time after Bonobo shut down. I was highly disappointed. I had the tofu scramble wrap and the banana and date smoothie. Both were disgusting! Probably the worst wrap I have ever had. I rather eat a tesco houmous and falafel wrap. It was BLAND and the tiny bit of flavour it did have tasted strange. The smoothie wasn't any better. Again bland and tasted strange. Also pretty pricey for horrid food. I can't speak for the rest of the menu but I would definitely not recommend. Won't be going back unfortunately. I don't leave bad reviews but I was so disappointed that I felt I had to.

I love this cafe as it has become my second home because of their delicious nutritious healthy foods, yes it also includes their cakes. Plus I never have gained weight from eating here I've either maintained or loss a pound.

Great vegan breakfasts at this friendly city centre cafe over two floors, regular food delivery pick ups a further testament to its popularity. Loved the tofu wrap and Swedish caramelised coconut brownie, Rafaello Swiss roll and coffee also good. Great service, nice music and comfy seats . Recommended!

This place is a hidden gem in Aberdeen. Friendly staff, very good food, full of flavour, and creative. I only wish they were open in the evenings for dinner.

Came for lunch on Wednesday, had such a nice day. Hadn’t been for ages, food was fab, soup, nachos, and falafel souvlaki, lovely atmosphere, food presentation awesome and omg that cake was delicious, biscoff, ice cream 👌

It was our first visit to the biocafe and I was suprised and delighted to find everything was vegan! The joy of having an entire menu of delicious looking dishes to choose from without having to check for allergens (vegetarian who can't have dairy either). I chose a oat milk chai latte which was superb, and savoury waffles with mushrooms which were exceptional. So much nom ❤️ my husband had a budda bowl and an americano which he said was delicious. We then enjoyed watching a tour of sn unknown city and trying to work out where it was! The surroundings were relaxed and interesting, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. So to sum everything up, it was perfect and I can't wait to return!

1st time visiting Biocafe today. Such a lovely welcome from really helpful young man behind counter; kept me right on where to find menus, cutlery and additional seating. Was hard to choose but I opted for Souvlaki. Fresh, flavourful and filling. So good! It’s a great vibe, I loved the choice of music and all the staff were so nice. I’m neither vegetarian nor vegan but I know Biocafe will quickly become one of my favourite places.

Voy a este café muy a menudo. Tiene un ambiente acogedor, personal amable y deliciosa comida vegetariana saludable. Mis favoritas son las tartas. Son lácteos, sin gluten y sin azúcar, y saben absolutamente deliciosos. Es un toque agradable que tengan libros y juegos de mesa, algo que hacer si quieres quedarte más tiempo y disfrutar del ambiente. También está muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad, no lejos del teatro y la Galería de Arte. Ellos también llevan.

My new treat after having my nails done at Eden is to pop in past for a cake before I head back to work and I have to say that the brownie was the most amazing thing I’ve ever eaten! Everything you want in a brownie - gooey, fudgy and with a crispy baked edge. The biscuits made it even more heavenly.

El joven que servía se refirió a saludar a todos los que entraban y el ambiente era encantador. La comida era absolutamente increíble y los cafés también eran geniales. Terminamos teniendo 2 como también tenía un pedazo de pastel. ¡No habría sido grosero también! Mi pareja es vegetariana pero yo no. Esto no hizo ninguna diferencia para mí, ya que la comida era tan buena. Sin duda volveremos cuando en Aberdeen.

Una joya absoluta de un lugar. Realmente lucho para encontrar buena comida basada en plantas cuando estoy fuera y alrededor. La comida es saludable, atractiva, nutritiva, bien hecha y bastante deliciosa. Soy muy quisquilloso y a menudo me decepciona cuando como fuera, pero no aquí. Puede haber una espera para la comida, pero esto se debe a que la comida está recién preparada y el lugar es popular, seguramente una buena señal. El personal es encantador y amable y el lugar es interesante y cómodo Y tienen plantas reales no las espantosas de plástico que parecen ser omnipresentes en estos días. Tenía un pastel para llevar que se suponía que me duraría dos días - no duró la hora y mi pareja no consiguió un vistazo - delicioso y excepcionalmente buena relación calidad- especialmente porque sé que se utilizan ingredientes de calidad. Si quieres un café independiente que sirva comida vegetal, este ES tu destino. Felicitaciones al equipo que hace que esto suceda.

Ive been coming here for years. Love their food. The atmosphere is always great. The staff's really welcoming and friendly. Its nice to have so many vegan and healthy options. Would definitely recommend.

I can’t believe I never left a review, I have been eating here since around 2019 possibly. Genuinely one of my favourite places to go out and eat (or order on deliveroo)with a pal or myself. Or I used to go study there - so cozy downstairs! Food is delicious, staff always friendly no matter who is on. Great atmosphere, very understanding towards allergens. (Also special mention in my heart towards the cakes!) Heartfelt thank you!! I had way more food photos but here’s what I could find😝

We had the most amazing vegan breakfasts!! Everything was so varied and fresh and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. The staff were so friendly and accommodating to our dietary requirements too. The range of vegan AND gluten free cakes was unreal. It was so nice to be able to have a healthy and nutritious breakfast that was so delicious! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re through to Aberdeen.

I’ve been to Biocafe a few times, I loved their london fog latte that they did for winter this year and their mushroom toast is my favourite thing ever (i dream about it)! I’ve taken my mum with dietary needs here too as it is one of the few places that caters for her when she visits. Also the cakes and bakes are delightful along with visually appealing, especially the creative cheesecakes. Everyone working there is always really nice and polite, I’ve never had a bad experience. I love the chairs downstairs (they’re so pretty!!!) and the games and books available. The food sometimes takes a bit of a wait but it’s worth it as it’s all made fresh in the kitchen, which is a fairly small kitchen and it is quite a small cafe, this means all your food comes fresh and often at different times if you are with more people or it’s busy but there’s never much disparity plus everyone’s meals always look delicious <3

This is only my second visit to Bio cafe. The only reason I’m not there more often is that I don’t live in Aberdeen. I’m very much a carnivore but this cafe is a real lesson in how tasty vegetarian food can be. It’s very relaxed and staff are very friendly. I’ll be back next time I get the chance.

The food (mushroom and tahini sandwich) was beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly, and waiting times were good given how busy the cafe was. It's a shame the cafe is so little, as we had to sit outside - but that was fine as we were wrapped up against the cold.

BioCafe is such an excellent spot for vegans, whether that's for getting some food (breakfast, brunch, lunch) or coffees and cakes, they do have it all and it's such a good quality.

Continues to be our favourite cafe in Aberdeen! Such a wide selection of options it is hard to decide what to order!!! This includes a huge range of desserts. Amazing quality, kind and friendly staff and delicious food! Highly recommend for vegans and non vegans (we’ve come with family and friends)—everyone loves it!

My favourite cafe in Aberdeen. This place is excellent, they have a different range of homemade cakes each day, excellent drinks and a varied food menu. My favourites are the scrambled tofu and avocado croissant and the lavender spirulina iced latte. I have come here maybe 5 times in the last month and I love it here. My only complaint is, as a nut allergy sufferer, I cannot eat the waffles as these are made with almond milk. I’d love to see a nut free alternative ! Highly recommend.

Great taste and high quality veggie foods

Having walked past this cafe many times, I thought it was high time for a visit on a sunny Monday lunchtime. The display of cakes looked absolutely amazing (I wish I snapped a photo so you could see it too!). It was colourful and varied. Everything on the menu sounded tasty and healthy (my idea of perfection) so I had a hard time making a choice! The constant flow of sit-ins, takeaways and Deliveroo orders meant it took over 40 minutes for my food and drink to arrive at my table. I got an apology from two friendly members of staff but for the price, I expected to at least get my drink while I waited. I had jackfruit tacos which were the best I've ever tasted. I don't have tacos often. I rate Biocafe's tacos better than ones I've had in the USA. The jackfruit was meaty and it was spicy but not too spicy. The red cabbage and blue cornflowers made for an artsy-looking plate. The banana and date lassi wasn't a success. The banana needed to be riper to add a sweeter flavour, the dates should be more blended to make a smoother texture and more yoghurt should be used to make it a lassi. The addition of a shot of coffee may also balance the flavour. Overall, brilliant tacos but not quite worth the wait.

I'm normally a little sceptical about vegan restaurants, but the flavours and textures of the dishes we've tried here have really impressed. We've been a few times now and firmly intend to return many times more. Great food, great coffee, well worth a visit.

Lovely colourful bijou little cafe with great style. Visited for our Aunties birthday and really enjoyed it. The food was absolutely delicious and the cakes were sensational. The space is a bit limited but they are inventive with it. Very nice staff.

We had the soup and sandwich deal! It was sweet potato and lentils, with some seeds ! Definitely a vegetarian type of food! But we did enjoy, although we wouldn't have this very often! Toastie was again vegetarian/vegan, again enjoyable, coffee flat white ,you have a choice of milk oat type or dairy, staff very welcome and friendly, we appear to have got the last table! Busy Friday lunchtime, but by the time we were finished, there were more tables available.

Always make time to eat here whenever I get up to Aberdeen. Wonderful food at a reasonable price. Best vegan menu in the area!

The best place to eat at in Aberdeen as a gluten-free and vegan person. The menu has markings on which foods are available gluten-free. All the cakes are always gluten-free and vegan. The staff is well aware of the cross-contamination concept. Food is amazing and staff are lovely 🥰

I'm not a vegan or a vegetarian but I like to try new things and eat less meat than I used to. The food here was really good... if a little pricey (but that's what you get for handmade, fresh whole foods). It is small and cosy with accommodating staff. We will be back for sure.

Fantastic Scrambled Tofu Full Breakfast 😋. 1st time visiting but will def go back. Staff very friendly and offered an alternative for the sausages that were the only thing in the meal that weren't gluten free. Coffee was delicious and I appreciated them having decaffeinated and not just caffeine-d coffee. The atmosphere is cosy with only a few tables, window table upstairs but also a lovely area with games and books downstairs. The cafe and toilets were very clean, a definite plus indeed. Look forward to going back and trying more dishes and possibly one f the many gluten free desserts/cakes they have.

Fantastic vegan cafe/restaurant. Their menu is huge which is always a lovely surprise because usually vegan options are just 1 or 2 to choose from. Had the Banoffie Pie waffles with a regular tea and it was unreal. Amazing flavours, beautifully crisp but soft waffles and presented beautifully. Couldn't finish it so was able to take a takeaway box to have the rest later. Very reasonable prices too.
