Very considerate of the customers , been from a faraway place and passing by hungrily and they adjusted and made me comfortable..not gonna comment on taste as everyone's tastes differ but service is top notch for sure even though it's only take away and delivery as per my knowledge

Also the old man with white beard who is very disrespectful and has no patient kicks people out the shop when there thinking what to get and if we ask for a different box he just kicks people out the shop.

Best fast food shop nearby, tasty food and incredibly fresh piping hot chips. The service is nice and food doesn't take too long to arrive or be made. Amazing food, whether it's their burgers, chips, wraps or cod fish.

Absolutely disgusting service and scam. I went to the Showell Green Lane branch today 08/07/23 at 1pm. The worker in his 40’s served me. I asked for a small chicken donner and chips which is for £3. He spoke to me very rudely when he asked for my order, once he served me he gave me a medium portion so I asked him why as I ordered small, he just mumbled and then asked me for an extra £1 even though he already charged me for medium portion. I ended up paying £7 for a small chicken donner and chips and a 1 piece chicken and chips so I was over charged by £2. He should be ashamed of himself!!! I was a regular customer but after this I shall not go here anymore!

Keep away from the doner meat full of grease they cut the doner which falls in 2 the fat that's already gathered up than more grease falls on top had a doner naan full of grease had 2 bin other food is ok

Stopped by there on the other day to grab some food. It is I think another branch of Big Saj. It is usual fish and chips mostly selling chicken and chips. I went with chips and chicken tikka. Honestly chicken tikka was okay but chips not good so softy. It looks not fried well. so that's why not give high stars rate. Hope they will be more careful on that. Prices are reasonable!

Donner and chicken donner the best

Ordered from Big Saj through deliveroo. I ordered from this place because where I normally go which a little further down to big saj weren't delivering today. I would avoid this place at all costs. I ordered a donner pitta and a scallop. the scallop was awfully greasy and simply full of oil. The donner kebab looked like it had been made by a child. the pitta looked like it'd been ripped up and the kebab just shoved into it. the kebab (I took some meat and tried it because of how it looked) tasted really old and built up of oil, extremely greasy that my hands were awfully oily from just trying to sort out the mess they made. they also disregarded the type of salad I wanted and added in stuff I didn't want in it. which I wrote clear in the order notes. so if your allergic to certain foods they will not care. I am actually intolerant to something they put in it. so the whole order went straight in the bin. no wonder the place further down does so much better because they care. deliveroo said contact the restaurant and they are the ones who deliver directly, but considering they didn't care for my requirements in the order notes, I don't think they'll care if I call. so a review is what my route is.

This place is disgusting. Use gloves or equipment to handle food and nothing less. The worker used his dirty fingers to put salad, onions, cucumbers on my food. Thats repulsive. Use the equipment there handle the food with better hygiene than yr grubby fingers which you were using to wipe your nose with. I will get onto trading standards about this. Time and date is noted.

Placed order on deliveroo order was accepted instantly delivery time given was 17.20 17.25 I gave it some room for traffic and rush Still nothing constantly ringing shop no answer Now 18.11 and still nothing had to cancel order with deliveroo in the end as no show of food If orders can't be fulfilled don't accept them. The food is okay as well as being freshly made as soon as you order it. The staff are good in their own kind of way when they want to be. There is a old man who is very *temperamental* when dealing customers. He doesn't understand he is there to serve *NOT* frown or talk down to the customer when the customer questions you regarding food. The prices are a bit steep compared to many other fish and chip shops in the local area. The shop is always busy which is a good sign of quality, but the shop size is very cramped. Definitely worth trying, you'll not be disappointed! Very laddish behaviour is always on display as well as the backroom staff will look you up and down in a judgmental way. Can't say this place is very welcoming. People also push in as a way of favouritism due to the owner/s knowing them which can be frustrating when waiting in a que.

I've rated this place two stars because the guys were really nice, but the fried chicken I had was pretty horrific. Had I shot a feral pigeon and boiled it lightly , stored it for a few days then microwaved it, I would have expected similar results. I won't be returning !!

My local takeaway. Always busy which is a great sign. Friendly and efficient staff, never ever had a problem with the quality of their food. The lamb and chicken Donner meat is exceptional, best you can get throughout Birmingham. Prices are super competitive.

The food in Big Saj's is really good compared to most chip shops around, I would of given them 4 stars but my issue is that you can come in for the same meal on three separate days and be charged three different amounts. I ordered a Doner Burger meal which is £2.90 on the menu, I was charged £2.90 with a chilli tub one day, another day I paid £3 with a chilli tub and on my latest visit £3.20 with a chilli tub. Lads you need to be consistent!

Ordered chips with chicken meat and garlic mayo, worker politely informed me that they did not have any garlic mayo and I was just about to select a different sauce when the manager quickly took the food from the worker and covered it in plain mayo whilst exclaiming "if they ask for garlic mayo just put normal mayo!" I don't like plain mayo so questioned his actions - he didn't seem to think he had done anything wrong. Keep it mate, I won't be returning. Workers are sound, manager needs replacing - so unprofessional and rude.

Placed a order on foodhub for sehri they accepted the order then after 1 hour and 20 minits I got a message saying ther closed and will refund money....i had 20 minits to make myself and husband sehri and eat....never experienced anything like this before..and wont b ordering from there again.

The food is good, worth the price. However, what let it down was the service. The new workers are not welcoming at all, prefer the old workers. The new workers have no sense of being engaging with the customer. The food is nice though, would recommend - fast service.

Big Saj was recommended by a family friend so thought I would give it a try. When I first went in I did not think it would be up to my standards but I was wrong. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Greeted customers before orders where taken. I placed my order with Brother Awais who was the manager. The shop was quite busy as it was the evening where I placed an order of six items. Prices where not bad either. When I went home my family ate the food and were very satisfied. They all where very pleased and said they will definitely be making it one of their favourite chippies which they will start to visit regularly. Would definitely recommend you to try them.

Ordered 25 chicken shish kebabs for a family function. SHARP SHARD OF GLASS found in kebab, not only this, bones were also found too. Clearly an issue with health and safety at this restaurant.
