Food was over 45 minutes late and cold when it arrived! Not worth the money today!

Your delivery man put up our order was delivered and we had not receive it he then turned up 5 minutes late with it this is not good as I phoned Big fish to complain and was not there fault

food was delivered lovely and hot and fresh

Never arrived hit close on the map then just nothing so either someone delivered to the wrong house or it was stolen by the courier not happy requested a refund.

Had portion of chips .portion was very small for the cost .small portion 3.20 and where very soggy and that's was not because of the vinager. Worst chips I've ever had won't be returning. Over priced

Oder take out Fish Place and scampy chips. Sad to say chips very oily and soggy.I dont mind to wait little bit longer to get nice crispy chips.

Very disappointed we have been having f&c from your shop for years. The food today awful i am sorry to say normally would give 5* but not today.chips were mainly burnt and fish hard overcooked as were the sausages really bad.Also order bottle of ketchup which i was charge recieved satchet .spent over £50 for the food today.unfortunately

Fish a good .size well cooked, Chips seemed to be leftovers reheated. A pity.

first time ordering from big fry and I'm very impressed. Got regular cod and chips but the portion still quite a lot. Fish was soft and it was still piping hot when it arrived.

have been loyal to this chippy for years and it was always excellent, but quality is very patchy now. had a piece of rock that was thin and so overcooked it was like shoe leather. will reluctantly try somewhere else. great delivery by driver though.

Excellent Gluten Free! Ordered Gluten free Haddock, battered sausage and large chips and it was honestly the nicest gluten free fish and chips I’ve have in ages. Haddock especially. The batter was perfect, really well done, light and very crispy and the fish was moist and not overcooked. Will definitely be back for the lovely fish and chips again soon, thanks!

food was stone cold as I only live a short distance but I have special needs I still wonder how the food was stone cold when I received it

I never thought I'd be disappointed but today the curry sauce was watery and honestly tasted like it had been made with granuals! The batter on the fish was very greasy and soggy, sorry but we won't be back.

The food is pricey but it's normally ok, I don't like the staff though most of them have a face like a slapped bum, Or as friendly as a rabid rottweiler. It's just not a nice atmosphere at all.

Always a favourite choice for food, never had a bad meal from here, cheese and bacon burger is my recommendation!

1hour and 40mins to get some fish and chips. Shocking! Cannot recommend. I was within time slot. That 1hr 40, was how long it took, it wasn’t late. Greasy, dry and chewy fish. Poor chips. Peas were good.

Just like everything these days it's very expensive, like over 4 quid for a large chips. But the food is ok.

First off the staff were friendly and the place looks clean. That's about as good as it gets. Chips were like cardboard, sat in the tray for far too long. Pie was rock hard, the top crust just crumbled to pieces. Saveloy was like chewing an old school rubber. Very expensive, £4.50 for a pie!! Just a pie, not pie and chips. Will not go back and would not advise others to go.

Got it delivered all the onion rings, battered sausages and chips were all soggy. The chips were also bad loads of black bits all over them. Used to come here quiet a lot but very dissapointed

Great food, I’m Gluten Free and the fish is delicious, I always request my chips separate to fish as it can get slightly soggy batter, by the time I get home.

Considering I normally buy direct from the shop itself, where the portion sizes for chips are typically bursting out of the package. I was disappointed when having ordered via Deliveroo, that the portion size of the chips was barely 1/4 full. I also ordered two large sausages expecting them to be packaged separately instead, one sausage was placed on each serving of chips. Hardly ideal considering one portion of chips was for someone who doesn’t eat pork! Utterly disappointed.

Great place for fish and chips!! It is the only place I would recommend in Aldershot. For me, it's the only fish and chip shop that reminds me of my hometown in North Yorkshire. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Quality fish and chips, always served fresh and always hot.

The 2nd best chip shop in North Camp. Nice fish cooked freshly to order with a light, crisp batter and reasonable portion sizes. The chips weren’t great though - soggy texture, and tasted like they had been sitting around too long before serving. Cod, small chips and mushy peas cost £12.40.

The chips were really poor and that’s supposed to be the reason behind the shops name, thanks for the “ Dog Ends Dodgems”

Ordered take aways from them 3 times in the last two months. First order - cod and chips was delivered with old and not fresh fish. Neither my son nor myself finished it. Second order of cod and chips just made the grade. Thought I would try something different and ordered plaice and chips yesterday. An absolute disaster. Fish was again old and not fresh and the batter was extremely thick and oily. Not recommended if you like your fish lightly battered and fresh.

These are the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Edit.. No idea why the owner responded saying it was cooked to order. I never said it wasn't. I said it was soggy as the pictures show. I totally agree, it was cooked to order. Just badly! The manager has a massive attitude problem judging by his comments. No wonder the food is so terrible and no one smiles in there.

Awful, obviously last nights warmed up. Batter so crunchy, almost inedible. The fish was so dry it had almost disappeared. Chips were limp and cold. I couldn’t eat mine and my wife left most of hers. Will never return. I’m giving one stars because you can’t post if you give none.

The food itself is good but the portion sizes were tiny. I bought 3 portions of chips within our order and we were gutted when we got home. All 3 boxes were barely half full with chips. We were all still hungry after. Really disappointed.

I ordered one large cod and chips and one jumbo cod and chips I was very surprised to see both cod’s the same size maybe a mistake by the one cooking it but unsatisfied by this. I can’t deny the food taste great but when you pay more for a bigger size and you don’t get it.

Had a great chippy dinner tonight. Boyfriends fishcake and sausage were good. Battered sausage and cod bites were amazing. Nice and crispy. Asked for no salt this time because last time they were very heavy on the salt. Overall a success!

Decided to pop by yesterday for a late fish & chips. One of the best fish and chips takeaways we've ever ordered. Batter was cripsy and delicious and chips were excellent too! The jumbo cod is truly jumbo; I couldn't finish it! The staff were friendly (unlike a lot of takeaways) and the service was relatively quick. Well recommended!

Thankfully, the GP has a legal obligation to report food poisoning.

Awful place. I have honestly never seen such small portions at such an extortionate price! I called to complain about it and started that the 2 fish we ordered were completely different sizes. Large chips are definitely a small size, and the food is poor quality with bones left in. The shop wasn't interested at all and said to call Uber Eats for a refund. Couldn't believe how rude they were. Avoid at all cost, and let's hope they get shut down soon. When a 'large meal' is not enough to feed a small child and the 'cod' is about as big as a scampi, it's just not worth the unnecessary high prices.

Such a disappointing meal- we ordered a take out and the portion size was what can only be described as ‘fit for a borrower’ I’ve never seen such a small ‘large’ chips- the cod resembled a prawn gyoza in size. Luckily we had ordered before so I was confident in calling to discuss my dissatisfaction and hopefully get a refund and/or redelivery- HOW wrong I was- completely chinned off and told to engage with Uber for a refund! £42 down- 1 person fed- I do not recommend and actively encourage you to avoid! We live within 5 miles of the shop. + Food was foil wrapped and hot. + Arrived halfway through expected delivery window. + Ordered without sauces so cannot comment if they get spilled during transit. - Potatoes used were not the best quality. So far so good. We will order from them again.

Not great food but good they do lunchtime specials. The large cod is smaller than most fish and chip shop's regular size! So that's very expensive Cod! Cod was made to order, but I don't know if it's because of the batter they use - the cod was dry. Chips are a mixture of normal cut and thin cut, as per a previous reviewer - a bit on the dry side and the thin cut chips a bit too crispy. Have had pies twice - both times the pastry was hard and dry. As per previous reviews, staff are generally unfriendly and look miserable. Some don't even say hello to you! This is based on multiple visits. The lunchtime specials is on the electronic display so you have to wait a bit to see the specials page whilst it rotates to other screens. Would be good if the specials were on a fixed poster/display!
