Visited Betty's a few times since moving to Blackburn last year. We love this place! Great pub grub food, always tasty food and decent portions. The Sunday roast is honestly the best I've ever had from a restaurant - meat and trimmings cooked to perfection! The staff are always lovely too!

Great supper here with friends on the way to Aberdeen to see Nathan Carter. Table booked for 5pm so it wasn’t too busy. Service was fine, not rushed nor too slow. Didn’t have long to wait for the food to be served. Everybody happy with their chosen choice. 1st visit here but won’t be our last.

. . . Buena relación calidad-precio para una buena comida. Sin duda volveremos y lo recomendaré. . . . (solo 1 camarera y la pobre muchacha estaba apurada)

Went there for a lunch with friends. Our meals were all excellent, well cooked and what impressed us was the attention to detail and that the small thjings were done well for example the fries were perfect. I had Macaroni and cheese on a bed of black pudding. There were several options and black pudding was not compulsory. My dish had a lovely cheesy flavour, which is not always the case elsewhere. For dessert the strawberry and rhubarb ice cream was a delight. Service was faultless, spoke to the chef, who is a gentleman, and thanked him. PS great cup of coffee.

We went here last minute as a family of 3. The restaurant was quite busy but they were able to accommodate us. The service was great and the food arrived in good time. I can thoroughly recommend the beef and Guinness pie, gammon steak and the sticky toffee pudding was amazing.

Stopped in for tea on way past, never been before. Absolutely brilliant will definitely be back. Staff were very friendly, everyone spoke (even the locals who were in) and felt totally at ease. Food was great. Kids portion was also very good, not often you get meals/restaurants like this any more.

We called here on a sunday evening, as a last minute decision, and did not have a reservation. The young waiter quickly found us a table and water was automatically provided for the table. We found the menu to be extensive enough to meet our needs, and all things reasonably proced. We opted for the roast of the day, of which there was a choice of two. When it arrived we found the food to be well presented, hot and fresh. A nice choice of vegetables accompanied the roasts. All in all a very nice meal in very nice and spotlessly clean surroundings. Keep up the high standards!

On a business visit to Aberdeen and staying a few miles out of town, asked google for restaurants nearby and Betty’s came up as the closest, so walked over and was warmly welcomed, shown to a comfy spot and brought a sample of one of the beers over to see if I liked it before ordering. Menu choice was of good quality pub-type food, at reasonable prices with a choice of starters, steaks, chicken, fish, burgers, veggie options and deserts. I chose the home-made tomato & chilli soup for starters, which came with toasted thick-sliced bread & butter (£4.25), and beer-battered haddock, chips and peas for main (£13.95) followed by a coffee. The haddock was beautifully cooked - full of flavour, rich flakes of fish and just the right texture. Batter was crispy not damp & oily. Nice chips and peas too. All served with a smile. Looking at the dishes being served to other customers I got the impression that the standard was high whatever you’d chosen to order. Would happily call by again, it’s part of Leys Hotel and serves full breakfasts too.

Lovely place, Lovely people. Our first visit and it couldn't have been nicer. Reasonably priced with excellent food and service. We had the carvery, Italian Chicken and Macaroni and cheese. The desserts were awesome, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate mousse with shortbread and raspberry's - DELICIOUS, from beginning to end.

Yum yum I did really enjoy my romantic steak dinner for two last Satarday night at the Betty's Restaurant at the Leys Hotel. The pepper sauce was delish.

We met for lunch, and were able to choose a corner table. It was quite quiet but had a good atmosphere. Our server brought us the varied menu and told us about the ‘day’s specials’ - lots of mouth watering options. My friend chose King...

Brae is close to home, in the village of Chapleton, between Newtonhill & Stonehaven. Popped in just before lunchtime on a Sunday, and received a very warm welcome. I was there to get takeaway goods. Both members of staff encountered were very friendly, and attended to my order in a quick & efficient manner. Hot chocolates and mochas very nice, special praise for the apple crumble cake. Utterly delicious and the dog liked it as well! 😬 Nice decor, it was also very clean. I will happily return again.

We visited this Cafe after a long walk in the forest. Dogs are welcome inside the cafe. Inside there is a log burning stove, which was very welcome, the cafe had a nice rustic feel they do there own baking and my wife described the scone as the best she had. The coffee was lovely. We had visited the Cafe at the Cheese makers across the road which was very nice but had to sit outside with the dog. We will certainly be back here, probably for a lunch next time.

Visited here for Sunday "carvery" whilst staying onsite. Service was excellent by all staff members, however we were expecting a carvery where you help yourself to a selection of roast meats and veg. This wasn't the case it was just a regular Sunday roast prepared in the kitchen and served at your table. The roast itself was very average, the only veg being peas and carrots along with cheap tasting pigs in blankets. This was priced at around £21 pp for 2 courses,I think it was done as cheap as possible. Although the food tasted absolutely fine it was by no means anything other than average and definitely not a carvery.
