Clean room, friendly staff, good food and good location

Stopped for 2 nights, just got back home. Reception girls were friendly and helpful. Bar staff were friendly and helpful Breakfast staff were friendly and helpful, one young lady even stopped on to attend the bar some 6 hours later. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, lovely coffee. Room was lovely, great shower and quality toiletries help make the stay a pleasant one. Nice pool, ideal size for me! Lovely location Great history in the building. Great customer service from all we met. Highly recommended!

Stayed here while working several times. Tried other hotels in Chippenham (work visits here being a regular thing) but this is my preferred hotel. If I were to visit Chippenham or Bath for a holiday, this would be the place I'd choose to stay.

Stayed with a tour group on 29 and 30th of November Friday nights food was excellent and the buffet breakfast was excellent but Saturday nights evening meal of roast turkey was not good first were served the veg which was there so long before we got the turkey we had to send the veg back as it was cold when we eventually got our turkey it was disappointing as the roast potatoes were so hard you could not cut them In fact it was so hard when I tried to cut one of them it shot of the plate the meat was taste less

Super Location and does the job, still needs a refresh overall. Recent stay was really poor for breakfast and room service food expensive and cold !!!!

Had a three night stay with friends The only downside was that the room had very poor lighting. Apart from that. All the staff were very helpful and provided a great service, and that includes the manager. The food and portions were very good. Would not hesitate to recommend the hotel. Good base for exploring Avebury and pretty villages such a Castle Coomb, but expensive for what you get

Clean room, but poor sound proofing , a good location, restaurant below what was expected. Breakfast is self service, but ok for what it is. Parking is charged at 10.00 per day, which I was not happy about and you are only notified 2 days before your stay via email. There are signs in the car park saying the hotel does not accept any responsibility for your vehicle, then what's the charge for??!! Staff are friendly. Overall I'd only stay there again if I had no other choice, expensive for what you get and nothing like the website pictures!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Best Western Plus Angel Hotel, and it was a fantastic experience! The venue is beautiful, offering lovely spots for both indoor and outdoor photos. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure everything flowed seamlessly throughout the day. Their warm hospitality made the event even more special. I highly recommend this venue for weddings or any special occasion!

Been gym members for around 13 years. The hotel has a small gym. The gym generally is not that busy, so there are no issues using any of the equipment. The pool has very warm water which is great! There is a children's swim club that uses the pool in the late afternoon so it's best to avoid these times. The chaging area can be quite busy. Definitely recommend this gym.

Pleasant room, usual facilities, not great my room was next to garden where some inconsiderate twats decided to jabber late night. Food good but a tiny desert for £8.50. Really small portions and poor value hence.

Dear Jonathan, "We only wish that you would have shared your feedback with us during your stay". In fact, when I checked into your hotel, I returned to the front desk to complain about my room and asked to speak to the manager. I was told that the manager was not available at that moment and so I asked the two staff to ask the manager to reach out to me at some point during my three night stay so that I could explain in detail my grievances. No-one reached out to me, hence my review. I won't list here all the issues, but should you wish to discuss further I would be happy to take this offline.

Overnight stop at the Best Western. Pleasant hotel, nice staff. Very spacious room. Hot Breakfast wasn’t served until 0800 but when I arrived at 0745 they served the breakfast early, which is telling of service here. If I ever stop at Chippenham again, I’ll probably stay here.

Boring interior with zero character. Had lunch which was bland. Served by zombies, apart from one young woman who had a personality. No greeting and barely any words at all from staff. Totally rubbish experience and wish I'd been somewhere (anywhere) else. You need to do better and train your staff to at least look at/talk to customers.

Please do your homework on this hotel before booking.. arrived on 5th May staying for one night..parked up went to reception not even a hello and welcome by receptionist. Then handed a my booking form to sign then asked for the registration of car and said how would you like to pay !!!! Had to pay a daily charge of £5 lucky that only stayed 1 night so if your there for a few nights or a week beaware it could cost you £35 .on hotel details it only states that you need to register your car .nothing about paying ..as a hotel guest where ever I have stayed it is included period so I presumed it was the same in all hotels for paying guests .2nd the bathroom toilet extractor fan is partiality blocked with mould /fungus dust and may be a health issue.and 3rd there was no toilet cleaner brush 4th the TV date and time was 2017 so untill dat3 was updated could not receivechanels ..they need to complete a weekly inspection in my opinion. So if you have any questions call them before booking.

Had a great stay at the angel hotel. The location was perfect and my room was lovely looking out over the square and it was great to see they welcomed our furry friends! The staff were welcoming and very helpful and made my stay very pleasant! I will certainly be back to stay.

We booked a table for Mothers’ day. The staff were attentive, warm and kind to our children. The drinks list was varied and the food was very good. We had a roast with beautifully charred veg and everything had a wonderful, homemade feel. Thank you. The Angel has really come on leaps and bounds in the past few months. The prices were very fair and I would definitely book again.

I only staid overnight, but the toilet wouldn’t flush, so had to use the toilet in the foyer, when I told staff they just said the odd job man wasn’t in for another day

Stayed here for two nights 3-5 March. Very nice comfortable large room on the top floor. Great bed. Everything very clean. Lots of hot water for bath/shower. Lovely clean fluffy towels. Great value for the price I’d say. Didn’t have breakfast. So many places to have it in town. Used the bar for one drink all very nice in the comfortable lounge. This is without a doubt a great place to stay I really recommend it. Best Western hotels can be hit and miss I have found but this one is certainly a hit!!
