Visité recientemente Bert's para unas cervezas con amigos y acabamos quedándonos la noche. El ambiente era muy acogedor. El personal era amable y servicial. Algunos de nosotros terminamos pidiendo comida. Todo estaba muy bueno. Sin duda volveré y lo recomendaré a mis amigos.

Un auténtico pub tradicional de Ale, bocadillos, sandwiches y comida de pub. Se puede llegar a estar muy estrecha y muy concurrido, especialmente cuando hay deporte. Sin embargo, está bien situado para Princes Street y el servicio y la comida son buenos.

Bert's è un fish & chips rionale solo da asporto gestito da una cara signora Italiana ormai anziana giunta giovanissima da Benevento assieme al marito per cercar fortuna. Ora il marito è veneuto a mancare qualche anno fa e a dare una mano c'è un simpatico giovine algerino, il marito comunque continua a vigilare sul negozio dalla piccola immagine di finaco allo scaffale dei dolciumi. Io direi evitate la pizza, ma il fish & chips è squisito sempre fresco e sempre fritto al momento, a molti poi piace il sanguinaccio fritto o alti salumi freschi vari.... Andateci è un occasione per toccare con mano un'altra epoca e un altro modo di affrontare la vita.

39 Dundas StreetI returned to the bakery after some time as it used to be excellent. I am sad and disappointed to say the quality was anything but today. The produce was dry, and tasteless. I also witnessed another customer returning their purchase that was also stale. £16.50 for something that is now in the bin is disappointing for a place I once thought was excellent. On the bright side the staff were lovely. It was a carrot cake that was dry and clearly several days old. The other cake was also dried out, and bland, not what you expect at £5.50 for a small slice.
