Best wood-fired pizza in Colchester. The Italian manager Giorgio is extremely helpful, nice and accommodating. Generous portions. Italian "pizzaiolo". Fusion Mediterranean cuisine, fresh ingredients, wonderful white wine from Calabria, and delightful "limoncello"!

Friendly service and unpretentious suroundings. Got recommended by our cab driver, good referral. Food was good and notches up from what one would expect from a restaurant with a rather simple appearance. Good value for money. Worth a visit.

Visit Beras after reading the 5 star reviews, but I was very disappointed with my food chicken was luke warm and tough and stringy, I didn't eat much of it so my partner ate it, but he eats most things and don't like wasting especially at £15 for my dish,his food was OK though because it was pizza personally I wouldn't go back

Food excellent, cooked to perfection. Service was superb, was made to feel comfortable and really welcome. Thoroughly recommend.

We went for dinner and had the antipasti between us, pizza and carbonara. The pizza was really good!! Also had tiramisu for dessert. Nice relaxed restaurant to go to and the chef also came out to recommend the tiramisu. Food was well priced as well.

First time at Bera and will be going back. Service was friendly, portions very generous and food delicious. Partner was pleased Peroni is on tap! Handy for Curzon cinema just up the road.

In Bera you can taste the real Italian kitchen with an amazing variety of plates. You can feel that food quality is outstanding and dishes are prepared, thought, and cared in detail to give customers an amazing taste experience. Really looks the part, but the food is merely average, no draught beer. Service was ok, menu vast but food a bit of a let down to be honest - will not be rushing back

A good new independent addition to Colchester's dining out scene. We had the octopus and clams as starters. Both well cooked and presented. A main course of tagliatelle with salmon in a delicate cream and tomato sauce was as good as any we have eaten in Italy. The ham and mushroom pizza freshly rolled topped and baked was tasty and enjoyable. We had the Montepulciano which was well selected and very drinkable. Staff friendly and attentive. Close to the Curzon so a good option before or after a film. Nice clean bright space with Italian music playing gently in the background. We were surprised there was no house wine option which you would want if popping in for just a quick pizza. But that's just a small gripe. Well worth a visit.

A wonderful pizza experience. The children had a classic Italian thin crust pizza. I had an adult size pizza 4 cheese - absolutely delicious! Worth it £5 per child and £9 incl soft drink for me. Very clean toilet. Lovely staff!

Un ristorante nuovo e con una buona capacità di posti, circa 90 che offre finalmente la possibilità di prenotare per gruppi anche numerosi; inoltre una eccellente cucina italiana, sapientemente rivisitata e grande qualità degli ingredienti. Stumbled across Beras a couple of weeks ago coming back from the cinema and had a great seafood pasta, return at the weekend and had a good meal with the family.

Nice clean and modern restaurant but lacked character.

We’d been watching the space for a while as it said Italian opening soon. Our first chance to visit was a quick late lunch after an early film at the Curzon. Just a plate of pasta each but in so far as that is indicative of the standard we were very impressed. Can’t wait to go back for a full meal to try what sounds like some tasty fare.

I think this is the best restaurant in this town. Where should I start. The restaurant itself, almost perfect, the ambience...total Italian...the food...to die for.....the staff very helpful and happy. The first time I went there I was with my wife...the staff where a bit anxious( you’ve got to understand as this was their second opening day....I can recommend this restaurant to all my friends, family and all my colleagues...again...THE BEST IN TOWN...!

This is a new restaurant that offers an excellent Italian food, with a cuisine of high quality and revisited with intelligence and passion by the Chef,...a true Italian Chef. Good service and very strong Italian presence, the manager is Italian, the pizza maker is Italian, a nice surprise in Colchester a very good place to visit with the family. Excellent the quality-price, absolutely a place to visit

The resteraunt was clean and very welcoming . The staff and service was excellent . the prices are very reasonable . The menue covers a huge range of Italian dishes . We had the lasagna and it was fantastic would definitely go there again.

We have been to Bera’s a few times now, tried different dishes and have a always been happy!

The Restaurant has the Italian Feel as we arrived the manager Greetings was in Italian and that was belissimo very cool, the food was absolutely delicious and will definitely go back to test the rest of the menu, the restaurant was such a nice and family atmosphere, staff were very polite very happy definitely recommend try it for yourselves 5 Stars from us

Popped in on Saturday night after the cinema. We only had time for lasagne, but the rest of the comprehensive menu looked interesting, with the usual pizzas, pasta and Italian fare and a few extras. The staff were friendly and the service good. It's a smart new restaurant with candles in the loo!! We will definitely be back for a full scale meal.

Visited on a Saturday night for a pre-cinema experience(it’s between the Curzon and the carpark, so ideal)Menu was excellent and very reasonably priced. They do pasta, mains and pizza; handmade and wood fired in the restaurant.

It was agreat experience. Perfect pizzas, good pasta and pleasant service. Definately worth to visit and very suitable for nice and cosy Sunday lunch with Family! Good value for money.
