Good oat milk latte (large) really lame and v basic bacon bap . Total 8.25. get a coffee don't get the bacon bap

I visited a coffee shop inside Waterloo Station. The only positive aspect was its convenient location. Unfortunately, both the drinks and food were very mediocre. I couldn't finish my meal as it was quite unpalatable, and I left after eating less than half. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Awesome cafe with a good range of drinks and snacks. Good place to hang while you wait for train. Had excellent service from Shaikesh on Friday. Keep up the great work my friends.

If you are looking for a restaurant that has some vegan, choices, the lentil and carrot burger is one of the tasties I have ever had! The restaurant sits right on the southbank so a perfect spot to enjoy a meal while people watching.

I ordered a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, which they offered to toast....I think it was microwaved? Everything became one soggy, stodgy mess and went right in the bin. The coffee was fine but they are very stingy with their milk. Wouldn't go back.

Bad coffee, bad service, don’t bother

Had a coffee from here with a friend at 8pm last Wednesday. We were both ill within a few hours and felt unwell for days afterwards. I missed a long planned weekend away. I would suggest they either don't clean the machine or don't rinse out the cleaning fluid.

Very good service. Spilled my coffee while in a meeting. The staff cleaned up and replaced my coffee at no cost while I stayed online. Pretty decent coffee and roll too!

We brought food, water and beer and sat down in their seating area. A waitress approached us and told us that we would have to leave as this area was closed. They had no signs or barrier saying it was closed. We told her that we were waiting for our train and we would be gone in 10 mins. She insisted we left and we told her to go and get her manager as we were not ready to go. The manager came and also told us to leave. We asked why and they told us that it was because England were playing and they were afraid of football violence. I am 60 and my wife is in her 50s, our friends are older and retired. The really odd thing is the other part of the restaurant was full of families eating and drinking. Needless to say we will never go to Benugo again!

Wasn't paying attention and just paid £3.10 for a cup of hot water with a tea bag in it. My own fault.

You can tell employees received no training on how to make coffee. At least if they didn’t charge that much.

It's actually not bad for what it is, which is a sandwich and coffee place for station concourses. Food and drink are passable. Not cheap, but you expect that in those locations. For me the unacceptable thing is their no cash policy. No business should be allowed to refuse cash, let alone a mediocre sandwich chain.

Overpriced and not the best coffee. Nice seating area to people watch if you sit overlooking the station.

The baristo misunderstood my order and charged me for two coffees instead of 1. I informed him immediately, he apologised, "refunded" one coffee onto my credit card and I went away with my coffee. Something went wrong with the refund, so 5 weeks later it hasn't come through. Customer services haven't responded. I understand that mistakes like this can happen, but being refunded for something you never bought shouldn't involve emails and reviews.

En route through with family , we decided to have a sausage bap and bacon baps , the Baps for the bacon were nice and fresh and soft, however I returned the sausage bap unopened as I could feel it was rock hard, was given another equally as hard, clearly been in the oven for hours , only to be told the rolls are crusty and not the same as the bacon ones? Clearly rubbish and an excuse.

Not the best location, it's cold and noisy , food wasn't great and the staff all seemed really run down , no smiles or positive energy . And food is expensive.

Coffee and panini of a high standard but collection system is horribly disorganised. There’s no numbering or name system for getting your coffees from the end of the counter and people were just standing around waiting, too embarrassed to pick up an order in case it wasn’t theirs. Similar lack of organisation for the panini - the girl held up the wrapped panini saying what they were (which was the only way I recognised my order) - however, when they’re wrapped up, you can’t tell which is which so there needs to be a simple coding such as “V” for vegetarian, “CH” for cheese etc. Such a shame as it’s stressful not only for customers but also for stsff.

Nice friendly staff and very good coffee

Was waiting for 7 min for coffee. Unfortunately, barista were not able to make my coconut latte during this time (only with that one order to do). I end up running for a train without coffee I have paid for. Instead of my coffee barista managed to give several teas and drinks which were taken few minutes after my order. When I asked about my coffee after 5min I only heard that is on its way. Very disappointing. Especially on the station where ppl are in hurry from/to work.

Small cafe at Waterloo. Lots of choice of quick food sandwiches ,pastries ,crisps,coffee teas, water, etc......... lots of staff and quick service considering how extremely busy it was.

My favourite place to grab a morning latte. Staff are always friendly, service always efficient and the coffees consistently tasty. I also love the fact that they have a lo-fi loyalty card system that doesnt require downloading an app or paying for a monthly subscription. On a few occasions I've also had an IPA as it's got excellent seating over the balcony, a great place to watch the world go by.

The service is so bad and very rude. I've been a few times and everytime my coffee is everywhere all over the cup and they've just thrown it at me getting coffee everywhere.

I had a wonderful experience at Benugo Cafe. The service, particularly from Beema, was exceptional. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor made the visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere of the cafe was also delightful, creating a perfect setting for a relaxing meal. I highly recommend Benugo Cafe for a great dining experience.

I had a fantastic time at Coffee Cafe Benugo, thanks in large part to the exceptional service provided by Beema. Her welcoming demeanor and attention to detail made my visit truly memorable. The coffee was superb, and Beema's friendly assistance added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. I'll definitely be returning for more of the great coffee and top-notch service!

Did a quick stop at Benugo Waterloo while waiting for the train and were very impressed with the many vegan options. And also the staff - the person at the till had such kind joy in doing their job, which really makes a difference! Same for the person who handed us the coffees - very kind and lovely attitude!

I'm not giving 5 stars because we only had ice-cream and a cup of tea here so I don't know what the food is like. It's an easy place to get to by escalator and you can watch the crowds below while being in a quieter atmosphere.

Don't spend money in cashless businesses.

They advertise 'crispy bacon on sourdough roll'. Prepare to be disappointed. It's pre-prepared and pre-packaged and the soggiest roll and fattiest bacon you will ever have tasted. Disgusting! Talk about misrepresentation. How they can get away with serving such substandard fare i can't imagine.

Did not open when they said they would.

Fine for a 40 min catch up with a mate. Didn’t eat but had a beer from a can in a paper cup. If that’s your thing it’s nice in terms of being able to see the clock & being able to catch one’s train! Nice array of bread products & universal coffee or brownies. Not much else and loud with concourse train announcer. It is what it is.

It was a nightmare , I ordered a chicken sandwich called SICILIAN and there was a bone inside 3 inch long . I can still feel my teeth. Can’t trust again

My latte was bellow par sadly. Bitter coffee, not how I like to enjoy it at all. Milk barely frothy, (or milky) tasted like water was stronger than the milk. Croissant was crispy on the outside and delicious 👏🏻 staff were lovely and attentive. A nice place to people watch while waiting for your train.

The coffee I picked up this morning tastes like burnt ash, disappointingly for a craft coffee shop price tag. Also the gentleman before was given a Flat White where part of his espresso shot had missed the cup and ran down the side, the lady making it realised but didn’t care (it wasn’t busy, could of remade). Not very high standards.

I ordered a mocha coffee and it was bad. Never tasted a mocha that is so bad it made me sick. Wouldn't recommend the coffee here. Also it was very busy i don't know if that affected the quality of the coffee or if it's actually bad.

Now I always try to be as positive as I can when reviewing, but I visited 18th October and at 11am had run out of most cakes and had no iced coffee. The food we did have was just OK. The place is absolutely filthy, 6 people chatting behind the counter, and tables stacked high with uncleared waste, floor was also filthy and with the added curse of Pigeons.

One of the most miserable bacon baps I’ve had the misfortune of eating

Get yourselves together, sheesh. Out of everything I wanted (including skimmed milk) by 10.40am. I bought a bacon roll, it was awful. Hardly any bacon. No butter. Defrosted awful roll. No sauces etc on offer. Coffee was bad. Cheapo bottled water was £1.75! What a waste of time.

Ordered lemon drizzle cake; not a nice taste and over-soaked in syrup. Nice place, but overpriced for the same quality as local competitors.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Actually Luisa save my life- my battery was dead so there was a risk I wouldn’t come home(I didn’t have a physical bank card). I asked her for help and she took my phone, plugged and charged it. Everything with a smile! That’s what you call customer service and exceeding the expectations! If someone deserves a pay rise or promotion is definitely her!

On 7th August at 8.30am I visited for coffee. was told 9am is open time. I turn up at 9am and 2 staff , male and female didn't look happy to see me and told me they weren't ready yet to open, because coffee machine is not ready. What is amusing is that there were 4 staff to assist with opening so plenty people for what was a 2 person job. I then said I would only take food and as long as fridge and till is open then that is okay. Reluctantly they let me in to choose my food. At the till point i expressed dissatisfaction that they couldn't set up their espresso machine and grinder despite having many staff. Next, one of the colleague switched on the machine, and pulled a shot which ran for less than 10 seconds resulting in under extracted coffee. It appears that the dial in process of weighing coffee, timing the dose was not done correctly due to an under extracted espresso. I explained this to the male Barista and said he would need to adjust the grinder setting to extract a quality tasting espresso. He refused to do this and said I had to take the shot that was already made - (the poor soup like under extracted espresso shot ) he also said he had set up the espresso machine, but his colleague female, said it wasn't set up. This male also said you dont know nothing about coffee. I am super confident in my coffee knowledge. I submitted the complaint online via Benugo website. No reply. Maybe the front of house staff are not to blame. Maybe there is a deeper issue around poor managment. Maybe the leadership is so poor that staff feel neglected. If you want coffee, its better you have one were the staff care. Pret and Starbuck although not my favourite, I would rather go to them if in Waterloo. Otherwise another artisan coffee vendor should move in and give Benugo a run for its money.

The best brownie I had + a amazing cup of coffee. Love this place.

No complaints. Service was very quick and they have vegan/non-dairy milk alternatives available. Great for a quick coffee before catching a train. They have a loyalty card scheme so remember to ask for one when you go

No food, no plates, very dirty tables. Which is crazy as they had 4 staff but none cleaning while no one was in line. Disappointing food and over price coffee without a single good point about it. Just go downstairs to Starbucks, pret or literally anything else

Utterly hopeless. Stopped off while travelling on a Sunday lunchtime and they had run out of all food. Enquired why to be told "we only get a delivery on Saturday morning". At Waterloo. Yes, that's Waterloo London, one on the country's busiest stations, even on a Sunday.

Loved Benugo before lockdown! I’m your regular customer for over 2 years. But what you do with your muffins now it’s a scam. You can see from the pictures how thin this slice of cheese. And it is a Halloumi cheese!! This is a very embarrassing proportion of bun and cheese. A full pack of halloumi cost £2.60 plus £1 full avocado. But you placed few slices of avocado and a tasteless piece of cheese for £3.60. Everyone understood it’s a tough time for all businesses and you’ve been closed for a long time. No problem to have the same amount of ingredients for less money. But for now, it’s not okay. I hope someone from the head office will see this very honest feedback from your very regular customer.

I have been buying my coffee and pan au chocolat from this place every day for the past 2 weeks but today's definitely the last time! The staff is so grumpy all the time. There is not one member of staff that will ever smile at you. I even tried to smile excessively and be extra nice but no, nothing is gonna put a smile on the face of any of them. It's almost like talking to nasty robots. And most of them don't even listen when you place your order! I always ask for half shot latte, always! It doesn't matter the coffee shop, I have never had to explain what half shot means. Well not in the Benugo! Here I had to explain them that I know they put 2 shots of coffee in their lattes and no, I didn't want one shot but half shot of coffee in mine. Half of the time they still made it one shot. Because why not. And today they went out of their way to make sure I will not come back. Lady at the till looked annoyed, I almost felt like apologising for disturbing her. The lady making the coffee was grumpy and slammed my coffee on the other side of the counter shouting out "one shot latte" like in a busy place even though I was the only customer waiting for the coffee, and the only customer they had in the last few minutes. Of course they totally ignored me every time I said "thank you" to any of them. And the big surprise came minutes after I left when, while sipping my more-coffee-than-I-asked cup, I noticed that half of the liquid was going down on my shirt and trousers. I removed the lid in shock not understanding why it was leaking. Well, the cup rim looked like someone chewed on it. The lid didn't close properly as the cup rim was all distroyed! Why would they chose to use a cup that is visibly damaged is beyond my understanding! Worst place to get coffee in London, by far!

One one the best places with a great coffee in the morning!! The staff is nice and polite, and they trying to be as fast as they can, there is always queue. I love their cinnamon rolls, but they don’t have it anymore :( hopefully will be back again.

Long coffee bar above Waterloo Station. Quick service. Good coffee. Plenty of seating. Great view over the station. Reached by escalators at each end. We found it a peaceful venue for a long catch up with good friends.

Coffee shop up the stairs at Waterloo station opposite platform twelve. A good spot to wait for someone arriving by train (or to wait for your train to depart). Good coffee, good people watching, pretty cold in December, but plenty of seats at ten thirty in the morning.

Had some time to kill this evening at Waterloo station so have decided to buy a hot chocolate drink. Out of very many coffee shops at this busy station I choose Benugo. This was the worst hot chocolate I had in very long time. Tasteless powdery drink with no cream or add ons you would expect with this drink. Shame. Lesons learnt, next time will go elsewhere.

Good place to drink coffee in Waterloo station if you are waiting for someone. On the balcony this café overlooks all the platforms and is in a central position.

Slow service, mediocre coffee and overrun by pigeons. Do not be tempted by the brand name, this is a franchise gone wrong.

Nice menu, fresh food , your on the station platform so can get cold during autumn & winter !
