Benny's Chicken in Coventry

Ordered a Chicken & Rice box with some chicken wings, got a buy one get one free offer wich was great as me and my partner had a box each. Food was very tasty and hot. Food came 10 mins early, considering we ordered at 12am we were very please with the service and delivery to the Ibis. Shame we were only visiting Coventry for the weekend as we would definitely order from here again…

Order from here regularly, I don’t know why it has low reviews. Pizza is great, especially their small margarita, it really is made to perfection. Each time I ordered chicken it came fresh. Came on time, honestly they even gave me a free naan bread one time cos I asked for it in the comments and there was no sale option. Immaculate service.

Too start driver never came to door at 3.30am when asked twice. Secondly i Ordered a biriyani got brought rice no lamb inside not even a bit. Called bennys and was told to ask for refund through just eat. But just eat can't help with this online tells me to sort out with the restaurant what a bunch of con artists. Do not go there be better buying a sandwich from shop atleast meat is inside.

We ordered through deliveroo. Took a ridiculous amount of time to be delivered considering it was 3am. Food was cold and tasteless. Don’t do it even if you’re hungry after a night out

The food here tastes really good. Good quality burgers and fries. Also, staff and environment is very welcoming. They have good meal deals. Definitely recommend

I don't know if they don't like white people here but the service was a disgrace. Rude / uncouth and plain right obviously not welcome. If the boot was on the other foot the place would be accussed of being racist (rightly so). No stars from me.

Don't use this place. 3 hours I waited and a quarter of my pizza was missing. Thieves. An utter disgrace.

Delivery service was very fast. They gave me time of 45min but I got my food within 35min, The driver was a very nice guy and was very polite. Food was awesome and the pizzas were top notch. 10/10

Delivery was amazingly quick. Driver came on exact time given by the restaurant to me. Food was Of very good quality, Grilled food sauces was same as of “Nados” 😛and Staff was very Supportive on phone as I wanted to make some changes in the food. Will be ordering again on my next visit to Coventry. 8/10

Benny's is average at best. The food is alright for students on a budget, although you will almost always be toilet ridden after consuming anything from here. The restaurant itself needs to be updated, it feels old and unloved. If someone told me this place had been abandoned then I wouldn't hesitate to believe it. The American diner theme needs a ton of work. If the food and space itself had a bunch of improvements, this would be a hot spot for Coventry. Until then, I'll only consider Benny's if there isn't anywhere else open for business.

ordered food on line took ages to find out and 50 minutes and 15 mins before closing that the main reason we was not fed was cant be bothered to serve us for being white and english luaghed at us finding out we cant eat till morning .

Had a quick dinner here last week with friends. I must say the food was lovely and enjoyed the quirky atmosphere of the bike in the toilet. Will definitely be back and hoping to take my parents soon. Thanks, David Ian Hayward

I've bought food from Benny's over the years, but honestly this was the best takeaway I've had in a very long time. The pizzas were great, grilled wings perfectly done, and chicken so juicy. They even threw in an extra pizza (spending offer) and a couple of chocolate brownies! ( the kids loved them). Will definitely be keeping Benny's as my 1st choice for pizza & chicken takeaway in Coventry. Well done 👍

The customer service was shocking! Delivering to the wrong door, because couldn’t find the door leaving it on a church doorstep and then when I ring up, being questioned by the staff and very rude! Food was stone cold. Will absolutely never be ordering from here again. VERY unhappy customer! Customer service SHOCKING.

The delivery came early but I had to ring straight back because they forgot to give me some of my order and he brought it back but then they also gave me the wrong meal too. The quality of the chicken was disgusting and we couldn't eat it. The chips were cold.

I asked for extra cheese on both burgers but didnt get any so that cost me more than a pound extra. Food was not even great and seems like they used recooked ready cooked chicken.

Ordered a meal deal which consisted of 2 x pizzas, 2 x fries 1 x portion of onion rings. We received 2 x pizzas, one was incorrect and some chicken wings. We told the delivery driver, who didn’t care and walked off. Immediately rang the store and was told we didn’t order that meal deal, even though my order / receipt says I did! The man on the phone was very rude and started shouting at me. Didn’t end up eating any of the food. Waste of money. Will never order from here again.

Ordered a chicken tikka wrap but instead got given a normal grilled chicken wrap.

Horrible service. Ordered two items, Food was cold when delivered, both items were wrong, had to wait for another 50 minutes to get the order order, still an item wasn’t correct.

Not great at all - didn't even deliver correct pizza and zipped off before I could check and correct. Not happy at all.

The delivery guy was really friendly and accommodating, the restaurant was very helpful, food was a little salty and greasy but overall I'd say I'll definitely order again and would recommend everyone else does too!

They forgot the sauce that I paid for and also didn’t get my order right. Gave me thin pizza instead of deep pan if I wanted thin pizza I would’ve went to pizza express or zizi pizza!

Most of the order was alright however the mix kebab was hard burnt and didn't have any sauce on it

Ordered full peri peri chicken...received 4 skinny legs! Thought chicken had 2 legs 2 wings and 2 breasts....my bad! Dry chicken and concrete chips...never ordering again!

Paid for stuffed crust and extra jalapeño on pizza, never received it, ordered deep pan got thin crust, topping was thrown on and pizza was overall poorly put together, very disappointing!!

The whole order was wrong I asked for stuff crust on the pizza it came with out stuff crust. I asked for no cheese on my spicy burger it came with cheese I am allergic to cheese. I ordered 10 onion rings I got 5. I'm very unhappy with the service of the college i spoke to on the phone as he hung up on me as i was complaining about my order. I am not going to order from you again and would like a full refund for my order.

Food items missing . Chips were left in fryer too long . Samosas weren’t worth the money as they were tiny and looked like party food . When phoned quite rude on phone. Manners doesn’t cost anything!!

Ordered a lamb kebab come with tikka asked for mayo had nothing and also asked for a BOTTLE of apple tango and they gave CANS of orange tango

I paid extra for ketchup...3 offers of French fries and I received no ketchup. Pretty mad about it.

Ordered 2x Deep pan pizzas with mince on them. I received thin crust margarita pizzas. I called Bennys right away to inform them if this who without listening states "no if you look inside you'll see the mince meat" and that the thin crust pizza was deep Pan. I insisted that I am 100% certain it's thin crust and margarita, which is not what I ordered. The person on the phone didn't apologise, wasn't concerned. He advised he'd call the driver and ask him to call me back. Having waited over 20 minutes, by this time my wrong order was stone cold, I received no call. I therefore tried calling Bennys once again where they purposely did not answer my calls. I tried on several occasions thereafter, however they failed to answer my calls.. Poor service, inconsiderate and very rude!

My food never even turned up you didn’t have the decency to call and say it wouldn’t be arriving how in unprofessional your service is disgusting

The breaded mushrooms were horrible and cold, there was an excess of mushroom juice, probably from leaving them out after cooking for too long. The chicken isn't crispy at all and the chips were oily, cold, and disgusting. We also asked for napkins which were not provided. Nott recommended.

Very tasty, one of the best kebabs I’ve had. The naan bread is incredible

Everything I ordered turned up wrong, the food was poor quality, I tried calling bennys 5 times to tell them but they just never answered the phone, it was that bad we couldn’t and wouldn’t eat it, we had to just throw it away. I informed just eat who told me they couldn’t help me as I paid in cash. It’s absolutely awful

They dashed countable chips in my meal🙄ordered for wings but got thighs and wings and the pizza wasn’t great

my order was not accurate, my chicken burger had cheese i ordered without it, we received 2 cheesecakes the order was one cheesecake and doughnuts, however the chicken burger was very nice so i was not completely disappointed

The food arrived fast, earlier than expected and the delivery driver was so nice! However, I'm really sad to say that we didn't enjoy the food. The oil was old and because of that everything was a little brown tinted and tasted old, cold, and soggy. Especially the pizza. It looked amazing but it was very bland and had a very wet taste and texture. Maybe it was an off day... Don't remember Benny's like this

The delivery time was different to the time that the food actually arrived. It came 20 minutes late and the food was cold. When I tried to get through to the restaurant several times the phone wasn’t getting answered.

Extremely poor hygiene. My chicken burger was ready in 2 minutes which I was happy about at the time but in retrospect I don't know how they could have safely done this. I got food poisoning after eating the chicken burger from here and was ill for days, having to take time off work. Please avoid eating here at all costs for your own safety. I have reported this to the food standards agency. If you have also contracted food poisoning from here (seems from the reviews that it's has happened to plenty of people) please please file a complaint with the food standards agency as well as leaving bad reviews so that this place is actually shut down!!!! And let your friends and family know, 2 of my friends that I told about Benny's said that it's known for making people ill and said that it had happened to them too!!! Had someone told me I wouldn't have gone there. Cant believe it's still open!

If you want stone cold chicken this is the place to come. The fries are the hottest thing. No wonder they have a one star rating

I ordered a Chicken meal in-store and I got this - RAW CHICKEN. I showed the owner this and he said that he doesn't care because he gets 100 orders every hour and he refused to refund me. IF I SHOW THIS TO THE FOOD STANDARDS AGENCY it will get SHUT DOWN. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE - they don't care about their customers nor their food. They have a 1 STAR FOOD HYGIENE RATING FOR A REASON.

Went here last night as the only place open at the time. It was the worse, I do not like spicy foods, and it is one thing I look for when ordering, and nowhere does it say that the chicken is spicy. I ordered a burger meal and my friend had a pizza. My food was ready first and while waiting I had a few of the old fries and then I picked at the chicken and it was spicy, my friend who likes spicy tried and even she thought it was too spicy. When I then spoke to the person behind the counter, asking for it to be replaced because at no point did it say it was spicy, the man behind the counter was so rude and basically refused to change it. Luckily there was a reasonable guy behind the counter and he did get me another no spicy burger, only to be shouted at by the first man, and that man is the only reason I can give one star. I would say this place is only open because it stays open later than other places, the food wasn't great, the place looked tired and the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced.

Food missing, over charged me for a meal deal and refused to give me the drink part of it.Then when I complained, they called me a liar, tried to amend my order but were laughing when i did it when i tried it, was covered in hot sauce!! My sister chicken tasted like fish, when she questioned it and told them to try it, he took a bite off her chicken and put it back on the tray and said it was ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Who the hell does that!! Then when we asked for the remaining parts of the meal deal... ie drink and chips, argued we hadn't paid for that when clearly we had, this of course we argued.Obviously thought we were drunk.... which we weren't .Seems like something they must do on a regular basis based on the attitude and service received ALL IN ALL SHOCKING SERVICE AND FOOD...

Not the first time they have given me half of my meal thinking I was drunk and wouldn't notice. They corrected their mistake but I don't feel this was a accident.

Food was very poor. And rude staff didn't want to help. I'm not happy with portion sizes of side orders either! So I really won't be wasting my money on this place again! I gave one star but really if they are being rude to customers they don't deserve any ratings!

Vegetarian hot pizza was very nice and the pizza base was one of the best I've seen and tasted tastes and I know because ive tryed alot of pizzas I hope their pizza stays that way!!! Only problems were very small portion of fries and garlic pieces not proper garlic pizza sent with pizza meal deal! And should have more drink options not just sending Coke! I think if they improved the side orders I would order more often!

Should have got a drink with my meal but they only sent the 2 extra drinks i ordered. So was missing 1 can & also i ordered dr pepper & vimto. I got pepsi & vimto. If no dr pepper why dont they replace with another vimto instead of something i haven't asked for. Also the chips were undercooked so all got thrown away...

Wow seriously no knowledge or effort made on their part with customer service. ZERO. Rude on the phone, rude and lying driver (didn't want to come in so says door wont open [?!]). Apparent error on Justeat website BUT HOW SHOULD I KNOW If it says IT IS included in the deal?! Soggy cold fries, soggy cold chicken wings and chicken strips. Pizza was nice.

Nice kebabs and burgers. Would give the pizzas a miss though as they taste a little funny. Toppings were nice just the pizza base had a weird taste.

Rude delivery service, hanging up before you've finished spoken. Terrible chips and overpriced wings. Not pointing out the chicken fillet burger is hotter than EmRata and ScarJo in the same bathtub. They should indicate this perhaps with the word 'spicy' - simple enough stuff. And they missed out my 7up from the meal deal. So not only was I completely dissatisfied with the quality of everything given to me, I was also left with no drink (which I paid for) to wash away the bitter taste of extra spicy disappointment.

Ordered 2 Supreme Chicken Burger Meals & the chicken was not cooked thoroughly and not edible. Normally everything is fine but I'm disappointed as I had to leave the burgers untouched. Not happy.

Food delivered very quickly, but the guy was knocking down my door in the middle of the night when I gave my number and specified for them not to knock... On top of that, once I paid, he had the cheeks to tell me to make sure I give a good review. I might have been able to overlook the knocking if the food was good but that wasn't the case. The chicken wing bones were all dark and aged. The chicken pieces were trash. Basically, please don't order from here; especially in the middle of the night.

Delivered the wrong food. When the right food was delivered, it was disgusting.. Was a loyal customer but never returning again. Lamb kebab was also average at most.

I am not the first time to order your food. I was ordering a apple pie today, but when food delivered just only 4 small chocolate doughnuts, and is cold, maybe just took from refrige, is it worth 1 pound? so expensive.
