1st time used, one item missing, called and delivered the missing item within 7 mins, food was delicious, and hot. Good quality ingredients, certainly will be going back very shortly.

Ordered a takeaway at the weekend and it was really nice! It all arrived piping hot too which was a big plus. Would definitely order again when I’m back in Darlington.

Waiting nearly 2hrs 30mins for a delivery. Rang to ask how much longer he said 15 mins because the restaurant is busy. Don't take orders unless you can get them delivered. Just hope the food is hot

Just had a fantastic meal from this lovely Indian restaurant. I entered a competition and was lucky enough to win. I am soooooo pleased I did. I ordered chicken tikka masala, mushroom pilau rice and a garlic nan. They also sent popadoms and onion salad. The portion size was really good, infact I have some left for tomorrow. I had it delivered and it was on time and piping hot. I would 100% recommend this restaurant and will definitely be ordering from here in the future

Went with daughter in-law and son in-law grandson granddaughter and my wife.We all had dishes off the special 3 course menu I had jalfrezi my wife korahi.Daughter in-law had chicken tikka masala we had kaema rice and garlic naan.Everything was excellent served by the very friendly staff.This restaurant might not be as plush as some of the town centre restaurants but the food is outstanding and to me that's more important.I had a wonderful meal and a great birthday thanks to my daughter in law and son in-law.

Hair in my food pulled two hairs out and when i called the man was trying to make a mockery out of me basically laughing and saying see ya later bye ending the phone quick id never order again

We go for the 3 course special usually on a weekly basis, the food is excellent and the service is faultless. If there's not many in the restaurant during the week, it can be a bit cold

I ordered a take away from here, the first and last time I have visited. I had the Sheek Kebab starter, a lamb bun an and a pilau rice, with a couple of papa Dom’s. The positive - the size of the kebabs and the quantity and quality of lamb pieces in the main dish were much better than normal. The problem with this meal was the almost total lack of taste. The kebabs had no taste whatsoever, and the sauce for the bhuna was not far behind. I don’t know quite what else to say. Bland, tasteless, and a real disappointment.

Friendly welcome into a warm restaurant combined with efficient service. Food was superb served piping hot, can highly recommend the prawn biriani. Great place-great staff.

Me and my friend came down at the last hour on Thursday night when they were just shutting. The owner told us to take a seat and made us both a beautiful dish. They’ve been open all day and could had turned us away. The meal was beautiful and the service was excellent. To the owner and staff ThankYou so much. We ordered a set meal for two, would definitely order again. The meat was melt in your mouth beautiful, the flavors was amazing. It was plenty warm on arrival delivered with a friendly manor. We ordered extra naan and there's enough food to eat for another meal again each tomorrow. Would highly recommend, and would use again.

We had a meal for two takeout, the meat was melt in your mouth beautiful. We ordered extra onion bahji as we didn't know how many you would get and an extra naan bread. The extra naan and bahji wasn't needed but we have enough for an extra meal tomorrow too! Would definitely order again was also tasty.

Visited for a mid week curry and was not disappointed the food was beautiful and full of flavour. Very helpful staff and the restaurant is very nice inside will definitely be visiting again They also do a special for £13.95 which is an incredible deal for the food you get lots of different dishes to chose from along with starters and any rice.

I really enjoyed my visit. The food was good waited quite a while for our food which was good as it was being freshly prepared. The waiters on first impressions although helpful weren't very friendly. But as the time went on they became very friendly and the service was excellent. On this visit we chose the special menu which I think was £14 including starters, poppadoms, nan bread and main course. I would definitely recommend it and will definitely be going again.

Called on spec and was seated promptly with attentive first class service. Food was excellent served piping hot and every one of our four meals was totally different in flavour and taste. Highly recommend and good value.

Went in and ordered some food and drinks. Waited over 20 mins to be served a drink where others who entered after us were served first. After speaking politely to the waiter he told me to be quiet which I thought was very rude, so had to walk out. Terrible service.

Excellent service and the food was fantastic. Came down from London for the night and I was recommended by my cousin and i have not been disappointed. Definitely will be using it again on my next visit.

Ordered our meal at 6.10 been over 2hrs and no meal and no one answering the phone. Poor to say the least.

Had many indies in my life. But this was far above from any. The quality of the cooking the touch of spices, was all mouth watering. Superb that's all I can say. Many thanks.

We've been visiting this restaurant for a few years and it's always worth the 25 mile round trip. Normally it's very relaxed and quiet, but on Monday it was a little rowdy, but I think that's a post lockdown thing and things will settle down. However, the food and service is superb. Popadom and pickles, chicken tikka starter, and an amazingly tasty and tender lamb balti - all for a tenner. Very nice indeed. Wow, it's nice to be able to go out to places like this again.

Wow , what can I say, we were blown away with the quality of their Lamb Handi dish, tasted so fresh, tender meat, loads of fresh coriander, excellent quality and fragrant Pilau Rice , Warm Fresh and soft Nan Bread. Very reasonably priced. Well enjoyed by all.

5 star every time! Never had a bad meal from here. The food is always cooked to perfection, meats are always lovely and tender can highly recommended the chicken salon. Tried so many Indians in Darlington and nowhere ever compares to here

Our 'go to' local curry house. Always lovely food and friendly staff. Never had a bad meal here. I know there are 'posher' curry houses now in Darlo, but this one has a charm all of its own. Love it.

ordered for a collection and told them over 5 times my order, came out and it was wrong completely utterly wrong. took it back got home as it looked on the writing it was right NO it was WRONG AGAIN, they just took the meat out and put other meat in when the source was also wrong to begin with. with my other food going cold because they took son long. got back home phoned up as it was wrong again and they didn't take responsibility didn't refund me or offer to deliver to me what i actually ordered. just saying they will sort it next time, saying they will give me Bombay potatoes or something as well as my order which i dont even like. so basically do nothing and would probably charge me for the complementary stuff. MIGHT NOT BE BACK AGAIN. GOT my order wrong 2 times after saying again and again my order and food was cold!! do not order take away from here

Food is always fantastic here. Staff are always friendly and service is great. Currys are very flavouresome and just the right amount of spice.

We wouldn’t order Indian food from anywhere else! Bengal Heritage is always consistent, the food is amazing, always hot on arrival and so tasty. The staff and delivery driver are lovely. We dine in at least once a month and order takeaway and it’s the best Indian in Darlington hands down. Thank you

Food was excellent. We were in no hurry and spent a pleasant 2 hours there. Started with pappadoms and pickle tray. Followed by Mixed kebab starter - the onion baiji was very good. Two mains with rice and an excellent garlic and coriander nann bread (this was one of the best that I have ever eaten). Quality service. They were also very busy with deliveries.

This is a real nice place the menu has a few things that are not normally found on a curry menu , a great choice to be honest plus the staff are really nice .As for the food it was presented and cooked very well and have no doubt this is a cut above the rest !

So me and my partner went during eat out scheme. My portion size seemed to be so much smaller than usual. My plate was dirty, and the family of 6 where within arms length. Also had to wait 50 mins for food. Food quality was good. But 6 pieces of chicken in a main dish hurmmm

My friend recommended Bengal Heritage before lock down. And I will not go anywhere else for a takeaway. The food is superb, always on time. I usually get delivery but I decided to collect for a change and the staff were very polite and I would recommend this restaurant 100%. Now I can't wait for a sit in meal. Best Indian restaurant in Darlington.

We get takeout from here every week without fail, one of my most favourite restaurants in Darlington and the best curry I’ve had from anywhere. The staff are all wonderful and on the rare occasion we get to sit in the restaurant for a meal it’s beautifully clean and welcoming

Had takeaway again tonight this is the second time and wow it was as good as first time. on time and hot we ordered set menu for two more than enough for two and tasted great

First time tonight and can say I'm really impressed. Chicken Bombay was lovely with a nice bit of spice. Mixed kebab tasty.

Staff are so friendly, the food is always superb, we took our grand daughters aged 10 and 14 for their first Indian, rather than getting full meals they offered us smaller portions, or they could have had sauces, they loved that...dipping naan breads, we will be back

We fancied a takeaway Saturday night and decided to try begal heritage , they don't open till 5pm and as I was at the football till 16-50pm decided to order on their app. we chose our food from the menu which was very easy , orders taken anytime even when not open and chose collection for 5 -15 .on arrival I showed my confirmation he went to kitchen and brought our food out, no fuss and meals were delicious, definitely order again

We have visited Bengal for over 15 years,the takeaway is as good as the eat in. Amazing staff, great service and mouth watering food. The best we have had in Darlington!! Try it!! It's addictive!! Family all on this band wagon.

Visited a week ago with family and friends had excellent meal and service was very good had takeaway last night and delivered on time and food was excellent if you have not been give it a try I’m sure you won’t be disappointed

National curry week so 6 of us went last night to without a doubt the best Indian restaurant around. Staff are always so friendly and helpful and the food is superb. You will not find better food and the value for money is exceptional. Well done Bengal Heritage!

This has been my favourite delivery curry service for years. I recently ordered a lamb curry. Hardly any meat in the curry.. and I did not get lamb! I know beef when I taste it! Won’t order again. Shame

This is the loveliest takeaway shop in Darlington to buy chicken jalrezi, rice and nan bread from in my opinion. The food is always top quality, cooked to perfection, reasonably priced and always delivered piping hot and in good time by friendly staff.Although I haven't dined in store as of yet I'm sure that it would make for a thourougly pleasurable evening out. Highly recommended, excellent x

I wouldn’t even give it a 1 star right now!! I have always ordered from here as the food is fantastic but tonight we ordered food and it wasn’t correct, I phoned up and i said we were short of items and they said we will get that sorted which was great. However the delivery driver knocked on the gate, I answered and he said “get a doorbell i’m really busy” I’m sorry but you mess the order up and I’m in the wrong for you having to come back and give me the order I paid for! Not at all. After this I will not be ordering from here again!!!!

Although we have tried many others always end up back here.The food is hot, fresh and they’re happy to customise which I like as you know it’s being cooked new. Staff are friendly and chatty but don’t bother you. Great service and fantastic special offer mid week £10 Ish for starter main and rice or nahn!

Went last night and this place is back to its best. The food was beautiful and the offer they have on is amazing. Its only £ 9.95 for 3 courses... Monday to Thursdays 😁 Trust me guys, try this place again.. Bengal is back 😊

Thought we would give this a try on a Sunday night we used to go next door in the Star of Bengal but it has since moved and started to go downhill before that. We went for the £9.95 three course special which gave you poppadoms and pickles a starter main and rice or nan.I had the chicken on Puri and my wife onion bhaji both top quality and the chicken cooked to perfection. My wife then had a chicken Korahi and I had chicken jalfrezi. We also had a garlic nan and mushroom rice all the dishes were plentiful and the curry was one of the best I have ever tasted with the quality of chicken also excellent.Anyhow we are returning tonight a week later well impressed. The restaurant is also very well decorated and smart.

Food was lovely albeit arriving 25mins later than stated delivery time. It was hot however so I just assume it must have been a busy night in the kitchen. Will order again but maybe a bit earlier next time.

Had the place to ourselves! On a Friday night too. It's a bit off the beaten track, the area isn't too salubrious, but the food and service make up for it. I think a lot of curry lovers have gravitated to newer restaurants in the town centre, and places like this have been left behind. If you're more into the food than the surroundings, it's worth a try here.

Great food but didn't appreciate tje delivery driver telling me I should pay more for it to be delivered. If the restaurant wants mote money phone the customer.........

First of all the delivery man went to wrong house even tho he phoned me and I was stood outside waiting for him he still got address wrong. Then my order was wrong I phoned up to speak to restaurant and was told my order was correct but it wasn't I ordered a chicken pasanda but I got a chicken korma instead so no I will not be ordering from you again.

It’s a shame the delivery was 30 minutes late - even for a 6:45pm delivery - , because the food - ‘chicken tikka pathia’- was really really good. The naan could have had more garlic in it, and the lemon rice was a bit of a let down too. I’d use them again if I was in the area!

ordee from here at-least once a week and never have i been served food like i have tonight. stone cold korma, rice like a brick and all in all very poor. i understand the late delivery due to the weather but the food quality is not good at all

I have eaten in this restaurant and had takeaway and each time it is absolutely superb. The staff are friendly, the food is outstanding. We had a chicken tikka masala with garlic rice and a vegetable madras with onion rice, a garlic and cheese naan, a keema naan, chips and some onion bhaji. Comfortably fed 3 of us, the garlic and cheese naan is the best I have ever tasted. Would always recommend.

Food was not up to standard was cold when we got it had to warm it up to eat it I eat in heritage on a regular basis but won't be getting anymore takeaways we usually eat indian at least once a week whats gone wrong ???

Food quality was one of the best I've eaten in the town however it was 30mins late which lets the overall experience town. Staff were apologetic on the phone and it was a Friday night.
