Highly recommend this place! We arrived quite late but they had a cozy room for us left and parking spaces free of charge. We enjoyed the evening at the fireplace in the bar while eating delicious fish and chips! In the morning we ordered breakfast with amazing vegetarian and even glutenfree options. Very good deal, for £10 we got everything that you can wish for. And, the most important thing: the friendliest, welcoming stuff works there! You made our stay outstanding! Thank you ☺️

Reviewing the bar/food for the Ben Mhor hotel. Amazing value for money, lovely staff and a cozy atmosphere. Very much recommend if you're in the area.

Welcomed very coldly by a lady. However, the man at the bar is very friendly. Hotel not at all reliable in the photos presented on booking. It looks more like a motel. Very old carpet which warps in the rooms and corridors. Don't want to take off our shoes in the bedroom when we see that. Cleanliness of the beds to be reviewed although they are comfortable. Parking not easy to access and not reassuring, fortunately we found a space in front of the hotel. Food more than adequate for the price. In short, it’s better to stop there simply because we have no choice and we are not hypochondriacs.

I get that the room was cheap and we weren’t expecting anything other than basic. The food in the bar was lovely and enjoyed it. However, there was a smell in our triple room…it was so bad we couldn’t sleep. The bathroom smelt damp and the smell was overwhelming. The lovely CK boxers and bottles outside the window wasn’t the best view we had in Scotland haha. If it hadn’t been for the smell it would have been okay. We literally ran out in the morning!!

Had food here, everywhere else seemed to have stopped serving food early, but went here and had decent food at a good price in a nice atmosphere. The barman was very pleasant.

A lovely hotel right on the High Street of Grantown-On-Spey. The staff are lovely, the breakfast is great and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are new and clean, but the shower pressure in our room was a bit weak. This was my second stay here and my go to hotel in the area!

Welcoming and familiar structure, excellent location, various services including a large recreation room where both children and adults can find entertainment given the availability of a billiard table and 3 darts stations

We enjoyed our stay here. We only stayed for one night. It is an older hotel but the room was clean and well appointed. We had a decent view from our room at the top of the building. I think the age adds to the allure of the area. We were just ending a tour of Scotland. We had drinks and dinner at the bar. It was delicious. I had the Steak and Ale pie. They also serve breakfast but we didn't have time to eat befire heading out. We did get a drink of coffee and juice in the eating area before departing. We also took a walk around the town. Nothing was open as it was a bank holiday but for a few chippy shops. Be aware, the parking is behind the hotel and can be tricky to access but there is plenty of parking once you reach it. I would highly reccomend this hotel and would stay here again if I am ever lucky enough to return to Scotland.

We had one of the best pub lunches ever at the Ben Mhor Hotel today. The service was superb and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A lovely unexpected little gem of a pub and eatery.

Before I start, I'm giving this place 5 stars related to it's cost. Don't expect to find four post beds and sweeping marble staircases! Rooms are basic and a little tired, but clean and comfortable. No views, but it is in the middle of town. Location is very handy for all amenities and shops in Grantown, it's basically bang in the middle. This does mean however that it doesn't have any nice gardens to sit in or an views. Service was very good and meals both breakfast and dinner were good, hearty fare without being too fancy. All at a good price too, so another box ticked. In all, excellent value for money.

I had a lovely stay at Ben Mhor! The staff were wonderful and very helpful. It's close enough to the Cairngorms, Inverness, and other great locations as long as you have a car. It was located on a street with a few restaurants and cafes (check out Scrumpys!) which was convenient. There was limited space in the back parking lot but we made it work since we had a smaller car - this may pose a problem for someone with a larger vehicle. The rooms were adorable and the bathrooms were small but comfortable. The smart heating system kept the room at a good temperature and we also enjoyed the complimentary coffee. The beds were quite comfy too!! The restaurant downstairs has an extensive menu - I had a great meal and drink there and met some lovely people. Thank you!

The staff at this hotel were lovely. I believe it is family run and they were all helpful and respectful. The food was cooked to a good standard and came out in a timely manner with excellent prices. I ate there both nights. The room was good, with the shower being powerful and hot which always helps after a long hike. My only negative was that the mattress was very soft, therefore not to my own comfort.

Room looked nothing like their website. Run down, no heating - the small portable heater wasn’t enough to crack the cold. There was paint peeling/cracking everywhere. Didn’t realise till later that I no towel so I couldn't even have a shower, bathroom could do with an upgrade … there wasn’t even a toilet roll holder. Bed was a hard spring mattress and I felt every spring. Big air vent right outside the window which would start up every 10 mins or so and make a racket. Was supposed to stay for a few nights, I left the next morning, didn’t even have breakfast, and I didn’t care about getting a refund, I just wanted out. Sent them an email about it, but never ever heard back. Waste of money!!! I stayed in April 2023

Had a really great stay here. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bar was amazing with a great menu we had dinner on the first night and we're really happy with the vegan options too. Breakfast was also fantastic. And on top of that the staff were so helpful and nice. When we come back to Grantown on Spey we will definitely be staying here again.

After poor experiences in Oban and Fort William this place restored our faith in a Scottish breakfast and hospitality. Great service, even better breakfast made with quality ingredients.

I am normally a fan The Wee Delhi. But, on this occasion the food was awful. A Chicken Tikka Marsala. The chicken was quite nice , but the sauce was awful. It was like coconut soaked in tomato kectchup. It was so incredibly sweet ,much more akin to a sloppy desert rather than a Masala sauce. Not a hint of curry flavour. What a shame. I would be reluctant to buy another meal there. There are obviously no set ingredients to guarantee any dish. The wee Delhi special which I usually have , is meant to have green peppers ,more often than not , they not included in this dish.

Très agréable situation entre 2 ballades, service très prévenant. Des plats typiques, abordables. Le top après une journée de tourisme.
