My friend had hired the restaurant for her 30th birthday party so the venue was meant to be Exclusive for all of us on the guest list. They let other people into the venue who started throwing glasses at my friends one of my friends got glassed in the face and other friends were punched. It completely ruined my friends party and I can’t believe someone would run there business like this.Do not go here!!!!!!!

The worst most overpriced restaurant of all time, try to look flash but looks tacky next to a £ shop. Run by people with no taste, should be closed by now, they are truly awful, food disgusting

I’ve been to Beluga many times since it opened and it is 100% the best venue in the area for a relaxing drink. Great ambience and super friendly staff! They have clearly spent ALOT of money on the decour! They have 2 for 1 cocktails every day until 9pm which makes the drinks very reasonably priced. I tend to visit early evening but later on the music gets turned up and it is more of a club (but I’m usually gone by then!). Having had mixed experiences with the sushi I was keen to try the new menu and it did not disappoint! The pasta was cooked perfectly with so much flavour and the pizza was better than you can get in any of the other Italian restaurants in Leatherhead - delicious fresh dough! All in all a great evening, and very reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be back again for dinner and I’d recommend anyone to give the new menu a go!

Would give 0 stars if I could , absolutely awful. Waited far too long for food , completely empty with no ambience , when food came it was not what was described on the menu. After issues with our bill we were told to f*ck off by the rude owner. Don’t waste your time or money

So so disappointed. The bar is very nicely decorated but everything is is awful. Went for a friends birthday and booked dinner. We ordered starters and main course - food all came at once and were told "the chef just said it was easier to do it all together". But this wasn't what was asked! Chicken Teryaki as awful, rice stone cold from the fridge and scorching hot elsewhere so microwaved badly and tasted like Uncle Bens. No flavour at all. Asked for manager. Manager said "I have a big persian party tonight so I didnt actually want to serve food" - so why serve it and expect us to pay £18 for something awful and reheated. Offered free drinks instead but we couldnt have these delivered to the table we'd have to get up and go to the bar to get them - we booked dinner so why cant we have table service?! A man barged in the female toilets and said he was lost - Weird. Staff set up a stepladder next to our table to fix a light mid evening - weird and inappropriate To top it off at 10pm we were asked to leave as the party was "private" even though instagram showed anyone could purchase a ticket. I noticed they dont allow instagram comments on photos and probably to stop people complaining it was the worst night I've had in years. Appreciate being offered free drinks but the attitude was "free and go away" not really a sorry for the terrible experience. Felt sorry for our waitress she was sweet and embarrassed about how awful the place is. I wont set foot in there ever again. Best friends birthday was ruined and a night we'll never forget for all the wrong reasons.

I am really not sure what the owners of Beluga are trying to achieve, on the surface this could be an awesome venue but it is so badly managed that they are going to loose a lot of money. In principal and from looking at their website, I was looking forward to trying this relatively new venue in Leatherhead. Now location is probably the first mistake they made, the actual position at the start of the High St, should be good, the venue is large and a lot of money has been spent on decor throughout. However I really think that the concept is wrong in so many ways for this area.. Beluga promotes itself at a very Glitzy Cocktail Bar / Sushi Restaurant / Nightclub but it just does not work as such. I booked a table for Dinner at 9pm with the intention of arriving earlier to have drinks at the bar in advance. When we arrived at 8.20 the place wasn’t ready to receive customers, although they said they were open. The house lights were on full brightness and there were boxes lined up in front of the bat as the were still stocking the area.. So thinking they were just opening we went away and had a drink at another venue up the High St. However when we returned at 9pm there were still NO customers despite the fact that opening hours stated they had been open all day, and restaurant booking were available from 6pm. We soon discovered why !!!! Beluga thinks it is a West End operation and charges as if it was so. All drinks are served as double Measures, i fail to understand why businesses do this, sure if you are packed out and want to ensure you take the most from each customer then maybe, but surely not when you are an empty and disorganised venue. The drink prices do not make sense, Basic Spirits are £9 which is fair enough but a Pink Gin is £18 plus the FT Tonic at an extra £3.50 this is just ridiculous, no wonder they are empty. The Pink Gin offered I was Gordons, which can be brought at £16 a bottle in most stores, now I am all for businesses making a profit but I am not keen on them taking me for an idiot. Now to be fair the small print on the drinks list does state normal measure will be served on request but there are no listed prices for that. Now as stated above we had booked for dinner, but quickly decided against staying as the Menu features the various styles offered in many Sushi venues, Nogiri, Gunkan, Sahimi, Hosomaki, Uramaki etc. Now this style of dining relies on Ultra Fresh Fish and other Products, now I cant say that if ordered this wouldn’t be the case, but if to maintain this kind of freshness you need good turnover and quite simply Beluga doesnt get that. Therefore I didnt trust that my meal would be all I had hoped. That along with the fact the place was empty, the staff poorly trained and total lack of atmosphere we decided to move on. I really wish the owners well, but Beluga has a confused identity , these days High St. venues need to be designed to take money throughout the day, as well as during early and late evenings. The place closes at 1am on weekend evenings, so not having any customers in at 9pm simply doesnt leave enough trading hours to make any profit. And YES I do know what I am talking about having been a Night Club operator for over 25 years

A fantastic atmosphere and service at the Japanese grill. It was a relaxed evening with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We opted for the set menu as we thought we would try a variety of different dishes. We were pleasantly surprised and with foods rich infused with excellent flavours and well presented.
