Amazing gluten free pizza and great waiter Gabriel :)

Decent food, subpar service, very small meatballs spaghetti portion, unjustifiably high prices for very average fare. Beware of tips being added to the bill automatically. I had to ask them to remove it. Never again !!!

Best Italian food... Elvin , Pablo provided the best service. They recommended some amazing pasta dishes which were outstanding. The music played in the restaurant was so nostalgic.

Very disappointed after taking my family out to lunch on the 30/08/2024 and we were accommodated in the upstairs seating area. It all started so well with a pleasant welcome by a lady who brought our menus to the table, they asked for any allergies etc the ambience was ok and the decor seemed to match an Italian feel, the food order was then taken by a gentleman again very pleasant on taking down what we wanted, we waited a couple of minutes for drinks and then we waited for the food. We saw the waiter set down 4 pizzas and a couple more dishes on a side table which sat for 5 minutes or more as he went to tend to the cleaning of another table and a check to be paid by another customer before he decided it was time to deliver these to our table and another customer also waiting for their order, this I felt was quite poor as these could have been brought up before tending to his other duties instead of leaving our £20 per head food to go cold. The attentiveness of the waiting went south from delivery of the food, there was no further table visit, no ask for another drink to add to the tab, no check in as to whether the food was adequate, the food we ate was cold and mediocre at best, we went to pay the bill after finishing to a lack lustre interaction with the gentleman who asked at the till why we didn't want dessert. We paid £90 for 4 of us, no starters just 4 mains and 4 drinks which I thought was a little more than what we should've paid looking at the prices in the menu, usually I wouldn't pick the receipt up on leaving but this time I did and was horrified to see that an optional £10 gratuity was claimed/charged for without us even knowing let alone us being asked, this is plain stealing and poor practice, if the service continued throughout and there was more attentiveness from the staff I wouldn't have batted an eyelid, just be wary of any visit you may make yo this establishment as you could be paying more than you thought for a visit in this place. Shame on you Mr gentleman waiter, you could perhaps put a little more effort into your service to reap your rewards instead of helping yourself to people's bank accounts!!

Amazing food, the lasagne was brilliant and spicy sausage pasta was just the right amount of spice. Our server Gabriel was lovely, kept checking in to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. Will visit again next time we’re in london

Went here originally because it was the closest italian restaurant near me but was pleasantly surprised by our waiter, Gabriel. Not only was his service incredibly fast but also super sweet. I will definitively visit again in the future👍👍👍

Family Visit after a trip to the theatre on bank holiday. Not very busy considering its location. Food was hit & miss. We chose the new cheesy dough balls to start which were bizarre - the balls were anaemic & covered in weird melted cheese slice. Really not worth £11.99!! The pizzas were well received by my kids, however my carbonara was super bland. Sauce was thin & flavourless :(. Thankfully they refunded this item as I only took a couple of mouthfuls.i was offered an alternative but I was too disappointed to bother! The deserts & coffee were an improvement - the lemon cheesecake & the cookie dough were excellent. Such a shame - I think Bella Italia need to do a spot check of the food here tbh.

We just love this place we come from Australia and came here on our two last visits to London and tell all our friends if they want authentic amazing Italian food while visiting this is the place to come , with great atmosphere to come to Bella Italia .We like to eat in as the friendly service with a smile is terrific, Gabriele served us this visit and was wonderful

We arrived about an hour and a half before close and were served fairly quickly as they weren't busy. I ordered lasagna and my husband had the Marco Polo. We were not impressed by the quality of the meal unfortunately. I ordered water and they only offered bottled water (why doesn't anyone offer tap?). I ordered a raspberry crush soda, also served in a bottle; I hoped for a custom mixed drink. The whole meal was quite expensive for the quality unfortunately, and service slowed down as the place drew nearer to close (we left a half hour before close) as the servers were busy breaking things down. I used the restroom before we left. None of the toilets actually flushed so they were all quite dirty. Not a great experience unfortunately.

21/08/24 Terrible service, given wrong food, extra items on bill not ordered. Drinks ordered were forgotten about. Abandoned by our server who must have finished shift, nobody else attended to us.

The service is super friendly and quick. The taste of the food is excellent, so we visited this restaurant twice within three days. At the top it looks like a small Italian restaurant. However, there are many more spaces available in the basement.

The food is good , the service is fast, and the staff - particularly Joanna - are very attentive. Will definitely visit again!

Waited forever for our food, Over an hour just for the starters! Then waited about another 30 minutes for 3 simple pizzas one of which was burnt. None of them tasted freshly made at all. It took so long we didn’t even have time to order dessert as they started to close and it felt like we were being rushed even though we spent most of our time waiting for our food rather than eating it. Was not worth the 85 pound that we spent! Borough market food was way better and better value

We love to have lunch in bella italia stand , fernando been lovely, offer his help when to decide pasta or pizza , we go for pasta ganbore.

We met friends and didn't choose the restaurant but we do usually like Italian food. The service was good and the setting nice. However, the meal was mediocre and very poor value for money. I had lasagne and a salad. The lasagne could have been tipped up slightly and easily scooped up with a spoon as it was just a sloppy mix of thin meat sauce and a layer of pasta topped with cheese. It was not tasty or filling. The dish arrived spitting hot which I was warned about, but my arm accidently brushed the corner and I got a burn leaving a red mark. It really shouldn't be served in a dish so hot. The salad was utterly boring. A few tiny slices of onions, some tiny halved tomatoes - maybe 3 at the most and loads of lettuce. No dressing either, so it was bland and tasteless. Honestly, when you are paying such high prices nowadays the quality should be much better. OK there is making a profit and then there is fleecing the customer. We didn't complain so as not to embarrass our friends who chose the restaurant. Unfortunately, we won't be heading to Bella Italia again. Such a shame.

Franchement désolant...le service est nul...les serveurs ne se sentent pas concernés lorsqu'on leur demande notamment un couteau qui coupe pour une pizza dure et immangeable...ils vous amènent le couteau dans le plateau de la plonge....ensuite s'occupent des poubelles juste à côté des clients qui mangent....et en plus on doit payer pour ce service inclus dans l'addition...

We booked here simply because it's between the theatre we had been to and the tube station, we had a short window for our train back up North. You usually know what youre going to get here and that was exactly the case this time. Nice air con too (it was a hot 28 degrees+ outside!). We ordered pizzas, Bolognese, salad and chips and all the food was nice. If I had a gripe it was that they could have added a few more mushrooms (that I paid for) to the 5 pieces I got on my margarita with added mushrooms. Anyway, we couldn't quibble as we had limited time. Drinks were nice (Can recommend the Tutti Frutti cocktail and the house Rose) and the service was lovely from one waiter, a bit frosty for another but luckily we mostly had the friendly one. All in all, it did what we needed it to do and was super cool at the same time. Yes we would probably use this restaurant again for its convenience and standard food.
