Bella Italia Leicester Square in City of London, Westminster

I went for the 3 courses for £23.95 and was very pleased with my starter (mushrooms) and pizza. Alas the tiramisu, which I'd been really looking forward to, given it was an Italian restaurant, was awful - bordering on inedible. What ruined my experience was when the bill came - it wasn't £23.95, it was £30! The waiter explained the 3 courses wasn't 23.95, but £25.95 - the menus were all a little outdated ! There was a service charge on top which had brought the total up. I checked several Bella Italias after and all their adverts and menus have the same offer. I couldn't check what they were actually charging as the one in Shaftesbury Square insisted they were fully booked and couldn't squeeze me in - despite there being several empty tables when I asked and the same tables were empty 40 minutes later when I walked back past. A very disappointing experience overall.

Visité este restaurante el domingo, 10 / 11 / 24. Todo estaba bien. Nos sentamos en nuestro asiento y nos preguntaron por una bebida, y nuestro pedido, la camarera, estaba ocupado, y había otro miembro del personal, posiblemente a cargo. Pensé en preguntar por mi tarjeta de sabor que me da 2 por 1 comida, se lo mostré a la responsable, y ella dijo abruptamente que esto es Cranbourn, no Irving Street. Luego me alejé rápidamente, volví a revisar mi tarjeta de sabor y encontré a Cranbourn, esperé a que volviera a pasar. Le dije: "Disculpe y ella respondió que sí en un minuto, señor. Nunca me habían hablado así antes de que me pareciera tan grosero. Tuve que irme. Definitivamente no volveré a usar este restaurante de nuevo. O cualquier otra bella italia. También noté que rechazaron a 6 personas a pesar de que arriba estaba vacío. Y el restaurante no estaba lleno.

Muy mala experiencia, comida de calidad inferior, mal servicio, restaurante de aspecto cansado, comida moscas volando. Había reservado una comida de cumpleaños para mi hija, su entrante de calamares salió frío, volvimos, fue reemplazado, pero para este momento ya había terminado prácticamente mi entrante y aunque los calamares salieron calientes la segunda vez la calidad era muy mala, la masa estaba en polvo y obviamente acababan de salir de un congelador en una freidora o microondas. Mi hija solo tuvo su entrante durante unos minutos cuando el personal dijo que nuestras pizzas estaban listas, ¿queríamos que las sacaran o que se mantuvieran calientes bajo la lámpara de calor? La calidad de las pizzas también eran de calidad inferior, no sabía diferente a cualquier tienda congelada comprada pizza. Fue una comida cara de poco menos de £ 70, definitivamente eill no ir allí de nuevo o recomendar a nadie más.

Inicialmente fuimos a TGI viernes y después de estar sentados, nadie vino a nosotros para tomar nuestro pedido. Después de 25 minutos nos fuimos porque teníamos planes para los que íbamos a llegar tarde. Corrimos a Bella Italia y le comentamos a la camarera cómo no teníamos mucho tiempo (como mucho 40 minutos), y el personal de Bella Italia fue más allá. Tuvimos entrantes y tuberías, y algunos cócteles, todo dentro de 40 minutos. No podemos agradecer lo suficiente al personal por trabajar a nuestras necesidades, si no fuera por ellos no habríamos tenido tiempo de disfrutar de una comida encantadora (aunque ligeramente apresurada).

El 26 de julio, tuve una experiencia desalentadora mientras cenaba en una mesa al aire libre en el restaurante. Un ladrón me arrebató el teléfono bajo el brazo, disfrazando el movimiento como un gesto del servidor. El ladrón creó una distracción al dejar caer un vaso de agua, luego rápidamente agarró mi teléfono y huyó. Reporté rápidamente el incidente al personal, pero su respuesta implacable fue alarmante: parecían considerar el robo de teléfonos como un hecho cotidiano. Creo que el restaurante tiene la responsabilidad de advertir a los clientes sobre posibles robos o proporcionar medidas de seguridad adecuadas. Como turista, perder mi teléfono estropeó significativamente todo mi viaje.

Ali had wonderful customer service. Food was lovely and atmosphere very good. Would recommend in the Paddington area. Affordable and good service

The food was good. The service was adequate but the places was the pits. Scruffy, peeling decor. Cramped, tatty furniture. Grim loos. We have eaten in Bella Italia from Inverness to Cheltenham and a dozen others in between but on the edge of Leicester Square this should be a flagship restaurant; it is appalling. To be fair, upstairs was a tad better but the staff don’t want to go upstairs so they cram as many as possible downstairs that you are touching elbows with customers the other side of the aisle and having to put stuff on the (not very clean) floor to have room for the food on the tiny table. This was really well below par for a chain we often use as the ‘safe option’.

We usually get better from Bella Italia, so we’re disappointed when this Restaurant which was well below standard. Firstly the decor of the place downstairs was tired, and needed redone. The fact that they are scraping plates right next to you and throwing bottles in a bin is very irritating. Yes the place is small, but that needs rethought. Some of the food was tasteless, and not of their usual standard. The staff were pleasant and the service was reasonably efficient. i’ll not be back.

Service was great and Niki was very attentive and very warm to talk to! Great experience here! My friends and I had a great time.

The pizza here is amazing the dough is amazing and plenty of toppings. My partner had a pasta and loved it creamy with plenty of mushrooms. Definitely come here.

I had high expectations for this restaurant, but I was extremely disappointed. After waiting 45 minutes for a pizza the pizza came hardly without any toppings and was almost impossible to cut through with a knife. The worst pizza I have ever had. Will never go back.

Very small and Cramped restaurant with tables very close together so little privacy. Tried to book a table pre shoe but assured would not be needed. Git there and no tables so had to wait and given a very cramped table by the window with a very cold draught through the front folding door. Didn't stay long as was freezing and charged 12.5% service charge on top direct the privilege !! Shoukx have gone elsewhere..

We came 2 people and order four dishes. For the 2 of the 4 we were waiting 45 minutes to serve us , they totally forgot us and when I said to the waitress her response was rude. I want to mention that the have tables but not so many to happen this. So for all the behaviour I find the service bad , unorganized and rude. So I won't visit again for sure and not recommend it.

Premises & toilets shabby. The meal was cold. I asked them to heat, but was given another dish, which was also cold.

so… we arrived 6 minutes late due to our train being delayed, we then got in and we were told they had given our table away as we were 5 minutes late so we had to wait outside for a table to become available. The food was good and we were given our first round of drinks for free for the inconvenience. when we got round to paying i gave them my gift card and was then told that they had never seen it before and just gave it back to me expecting me to pay. i then sat waiting for someone else to come over and help and was then told that it wouldn’t work. after 40 minutes of waiting for them to come back over i had to get up and sort the problem out myself by going up to them. we finally were told they could do it manually which i have no idea why they could not have done this in the first place. the gift voucher had £50 on it which i then asked how i could get this refunded and to which they replied with “you should email them but they won’t reply” ???? this made no sense to me. the manager was very apologetic when we left which we appreciated but still not acceptable.

Nice spot for food and atmosphere. It's literally in the middle of the leicester square so lots to see and do around aswell.

Lively food. Great service too. Used our Taste card but WiFi so poor in area and resturant it wouldn't come up! Without fuss they honoured the card and so got 2 meals for the price of 1. Amazing! Kids loved food and it was cooked well. Thank you!

Fui a cenar al restaurante Bell'Italia con mi mejor amigo y el espacio es encantador. ¡Tienen asientos afuera y adentro (donde teníamos una mesa)! Sugiero llamar y reservar con anticipación ahora con Covid, pero sin embargo son súper serviciales.Tienen opciones sin gluten, lo cual es genial, ya que comí pizza GF y me encantó. Noemi era nuestra mesera y era encantadora, siempre comprobando que todo estuviera bien e incluso recomendaba qué bebida preferiríamos.Los precios son excelentes y, en general, me encantó la comida y las bebidas. ¡Volveré seguro!

Un restaurante encantador en el medio de Leicester Square. Vale la pena comer allí y disfrutar de la vista. El mejor entrante Funghi arrosto se lo recomendaría a todos como lo hizo Gabs conmigo. La nueva lasaña tiene una sensación estupenda y luego la masa de galletas: noche perfecta. Volverá de nuevo
