Bella Italia Leicester Meridian in Blaby

Great food as usual. However, the service quality was beyond pathetic. We kept on waiting for everything. The restaurant was not even half full! Finally, we walked up to the till, paid our bill, and were literally relieved to get out of the place. Bella Italia, yes! But never to this branch again!

My partner and I went for a meal here and the service provided by Tyler was astounding. He was very friendly and could not have been more accommodating to our needs. The food was great and the evening was complemented with the friendliness and expertise of his knowledge. Could not recommend enough!!

We arrived as a walk-in and Gabi was super lovely and got us seated straight away and took our orders. Drinks and Food both arrived in good time, was super tasty and the service was super friendly and a lovely experience! Thank you to Gabi, Sarah, Jade and the rest of the team for a lovely evening - from two parents of twin toddlers in much need of a parents night out! X

What a fantastic establishment! My partner and I had the pleasure of dining there recently and were thoroughly impressed by the ambiance and the exceptional quality of the food. The three young ladies and the gentleman who served us made our evening truly memorable. It is an outstanding restaurant with an incredible staff.

Order delivery time kept changing. Food was not kept upright so when opened the food was squashed at one end of boxes. Very disappointed.Splashed out extra for Bella Italia pizza as a birthday treat. wish I hadn't bothered.

Quite disappointed with yesterday's experience. Myself and a family member ordered pizza and one of the orders was placed, we were later told they had run out of chilli's and caramelised onions, these are main ingredients which add flavour to the food how is this even possible that they have run out. I had ordered the passionfruit mocktail and it was full of ice and I couldn't even taste the passionfruit. The waitress brought over orange juice which she overspilt on our table and didn't apologise. I don't think she realised but again it's really not good enough. The pizza's were tasty but without basic ingredients it wasn't good enough.

Lovely service from a lovely person called Tyler. He was welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious, hot. The disable toilet was lovely and clean. There is plenty of parking for able bodies and disabled people. Had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend this place.

We decided to get something to eat from here. The place was quiet for a Friday evening only a few tables. We were shown to a table and ordered drinks which I had a 'Birra Morretti' which was nice. For starter I had the 'Mozzarella and Garlic Flatbread' which was nice. For the main I had the 'Garlic Lasagne' pizza which was ok, it wasn't the same as the previous times I have had it from this restaurant chain. The starter took over 40 minutes to come out considering the place wasn't busy only a couple of tables. The main course didn't take too long to arrive after we had finished the starter. For pudding we had the 'Cookie Dough' which was just ok, didn't have an overly good experience with the Tiramisu last time so decided to try this instead. Overall the person who was serving us was very helpful and friendly. The food I had was good but not as good as previous visits. The other food which was ordered was just ok but not fully up to the standard of this place. The place seemed clean.

Our experience here was completely made by our server Jade, she was lovely and bubbly and made us feel very comfortable she explained everything and took our allergy/ dietary requirements very seriously. 100% would recommend.

Had been here recently and have to say I have had the best time in a long time. The food was lovely, drinks were amazing and had the pleasure to be taken care by our server Jade. The attention to detail that she had throughout the night was exceptional. As I'm quite a picky eater, she had recommended the best meal to me. Also lover how caring she was throughout, making sure that we are satisfied with everything, including the atmosphere during the night. Massive thank you to Jade, will for sure come back soon to re-enjoy all.

I recently ate here and was thoroughly impressed. The food was great and expertly prepared. I appreciated being able to request modifications to certain dishes - it was lovely. However, the highlight of the experience was our server Ella. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. Ella made sure our dining experience was phenomenal, providing excellent recommendations. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful meal/overall experience.

As always, we had a wonderful experience at Bella Italia. Our server, Ella was particularly helpful and really added to our experience -she talked us through the different gluten free options available and was very pleasant throughout - the gamberini spaghetti was impeccable! Will be back.

Been to this restaurant many times before but today’s experience was not good. Restaurant virtually empty but got shown to a table right next to another full table. Ordered but waiter then came back to say they were out of mozzarella - in an Italian restaurant?! Decided to stick with our two original set orders and one main only,though disappointed as the caprese was the main reason for choosing this place today. Food arrived quickly and was its usual high standard. After food we asked for the bill and whether we could use the birthday discount for the one person not having set menu. Phone was taken over by waitress to point out T&Cs of all offers in a very abrupt manner. We had no problem with not getting discount but the attitude was unwelcome. Also mentioned between ourselves the disappointment about no caprese and the waitress jumped in to say ‘it’s very easy to make yourself at home, only 4 ingredients’. I pointed out we were there as a birthday treat so it was a bit disappointing. Waitress maintained we would have been better to make it ourselves and again spoke about T & Cs. The waitress was abrupt every time she spoke, I couldn’t wait to leave and will not return.

Went in today after a faf next door telling us they were too busy to serve us. Got in was greeted by a bubbly woman called sarah or sara. I dunno. Got myself confused with the menu. She helped. I have an allergy and she made sure I never brought that meal. Toilet was abit hard to find but we got there in the end.

I’ve never been to this restaurant but decided to try it due to a friends recommendation and it did not disappoint. I had the pleasure of being served by ella who was just fantastic , very professional and friendly and just overall excellent service !!! Will definitely be back and many thanks to Ella and the team

Came back after my last visit and again had great service from them staff with food that absolutely hit the spot. Left quite a long time between visits but will have it make it more often.

Maybe the worst pasta I have ever had in my life. I cannot believe I've just paid £18, yes EIGHTEEN POUNDS for a plate of plain, tasteless pasta with no sauce and literally 6 tiny pieces of meat. I even paid for extra chicken and as you can see, there is barely any meat in the entire dish. Shocking, you're literally a pasta restaurant how is this acceptable? Completely ripping people off, I feel robbed

Me and my partner usually go to the wigston location but we decided to give this location a try as it was closer. We walked in and could see it wasn’t busy and there were many empty spaces. We were deciding whether to continue to wait to be seated or to sit as no member of staff came to seat us. I didn’t see a sign that said please wait to be seated so we decided to sit our selves. After a few minutes a member of staff came over and said “oh did you sit your selves” with an annoyed tone. We apologised but didn’t say anything more as it was so awkward. I even regretted ordering drinks and wish we just left. We ordered two courses, a Main & Dessert but only received the main. The lasagne was so watery. Nothing like the signature tasty lasagne we love from Bella Italia. After we waited around 20 minutes and still no dessert. I decided that’s enough I want to leave. We payed our bill with the same tone we were greeted with and was charged for the dessert which we told the staff member we didn’t receive them. So we payed for the items we did receive and left.

Came for a casual dinner out and i am very impressed with the service from the staff (Ella served us and was very knowledgable and attentive) and the food was devine

Just wrong, the calamari had raw coating on some of the peices, 3 of the pasta dishes swimming in oil, the calzone just wasnt good at all and the tiramasu was gross, litteraly looked fiberous

To be frank, this restaurant has never let me down. Food is always to perfection ad the service is always to a high standard. I have to put in a special mention that one particular waitress (Ella) is always on hand to give a great experience each time. Definitely recommend this place for a guaranteed dining out experience.

Disappointed. Spent £16 for an awful pizza. Small for the price that i paid, tasteless and also came cold. Never order from this restaurant ever again.

On arrival was taken to our table... 20mins before we was seen buy Sarah... Her attitude was unreal... She told us to use the qr code for ordering our drinks and meal... I didn't want to I told her that's why you are serving.... At the end of paying again her attitude again was unreal... No smile or thank you... Hope next time I come I don't get served buy her... She was so miserable and maybe customer service it's not for her....

My sister and I visited Bella for a late lunch. We are always blown away by how friendly the service is from Gabija. Nothing is ever too much for her. Would highly recommend visiting. Food is delicious and staff are amazing.

A nice place for a good meal with an interesting menu. Good service and tasty food. To visit again for sure. We recommend Garlic Lasagne, Marco Polo, Mushroom Al-Forno.

I went here with my work friends - just to celebrate my birthday. It was a lovely atmosphere in the room, with the waiter (Kian) coming straight to our help to have us seated to make sure we have a great time. He made us feel welcome and was constantly polite - smiling all the while.☺️

A very disappointing meal. My friend and I ordered Pollo Funghi pasta, which should have been creamy, but wasn't, the chicken tasted gummy and old. Service was terrible, the server didn't even check if our food was okay, let alone ask for more drinks or dessert. Not to mention that the restaurant wasn't busy at the time of our visit.

We were in the area and decided we would get something to eat from here. The place was reasonably busy but we had booked a table in prior to arriving. We ordered drinks which I had the 'Birra Moretti' which was really nice. For food we tried the 'Cheese filled gnocchi bites' which were ok. For the main i had the 'Garlic lasagne' pizza this was really nice and I would recommend this and would have it again. Overall the staff were friendly, the food was really good, the place seemed clean.

I managed to change a few of my colleagues minds on how appauling Bella Italia is. We had a wonderful server, Kian, who kept composed throughout the whole time even though we were (I must admit) a very loud and vocal table who liked the drinks a lot! We were all impressed with his etiquette and how he managed to multi-task with serving the many of us. We had the dough balls and we all loved them - we could not get enough. Kian (I believe?) was very polite and allowed us to take our time with ordering - something we valued. Whenever we needed him, he was right there and I believe he made my colleagues change their minds on the stigma of Bella Italia in Meridian Leisure Park, along with the hot and well-presented food - of course!😂 We will definitely and most positively come again.
