Bella Italia in Cambridge

Feels Like Italy, Thanks to Franco! I usually avoid eating out, especially at chain restaurants where the focus is often on quick turnover rather than customer experience. Having worked in one myself, I know how rushed it can feel. But Franco at Bella Italia completely turned that around. From the moment we arrived, he wasn’t just serving food and drinks—he was hosting us with genuine warmth and charm. His hospitality took me right back to Italy (coincidentally, I had just returned from a holiday there last week), and the experience with Franco felt just as authentic. It’s rare to find someone who brings such heart to their work. Well done, Bella Italia, for having someone like Franco on your team. He made our visit truly memorable!

Food is amazing with nice service, very nice environment and baby friendly.

The waiter made our visit to the restaurant memorable. He was knowledgeable, friendly, smiley and also checked that our food was alright on every course, (we had all three). He could see we were catching up so gave us plenty of time between courses to do this, we weren't rushed at all. The food was very tasty especially the Billionaire Doughnuts and mushroom Alforno

Love this place eat here everyday for lunch at collage. Bustling yet ambient experience.

Didn't eat and went in for a drink only which we explained and was seated. Then totally left for 10 minutes totally ignored, so walked out.

Went for the ‘£5 pasta’ offer during January and a total of 3 times for lunch. Our expectations were low as this was a chain and the offer seemed too good to be true The atmosphere was well lit and the tables spacious and accessible by pushchair. Not many people on a week day for lunch so plenty of spaces. Our server was very friendly and dishes arrived quickly. We tried most of the pasta dishes on the menu which were spicy sausage, pollo cacciatore, gamberoni, lasagne, beef and red wine tortellini and pollo funghi. The portions were decent and the pasta was nice in terms of balance of flavours. The only exception was the beef and red wine tortellini which was too salty. The ultimate calzone was tasty as well. Had a discounted rate for parking at the long stay car park from the restaurant as well. I think it was mainly the discount but all-in-all, these were good dining experiences for a chain.

The food in the restaurant is amazing. My experience eating here was great, especially the service. Ordering food was a very smooth process, and I loved how informative the restaurant menus are. Furthermore, the eating utensils were very good, the size and material were suitable for eating.

Had a great dinner here, the Goats' cheese pasta is my personal favourite. We were served by Harley, he was very attentive and took great care of us! Will be visiting again.

Went there a week ago, food looked better than it tasted, the spicy sausage pasta left my friend dying she couldn’t handle the heat, was expensive and mediocre at best

We were served by Harley who was only on his second day, but was a brilliant waiter! He was attentive, checked my food was vegan, and popped by to ask if we were OK and if we needed anything. The food was amazing and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Definitely going again!

Booked ahead, which was a good idea, as guests that hadn't were turned away even though there was only a quarter of the tables taken. It turned out that only one chef and one waitress was on shift. The waitress did a very good job considering the pressure she was put under.

Waited over 2 hours and still nothing. Attempts to contact the restaurant fails after getting a poor automated AI response followed by them hanging up the call. JustEat website seems designed to make contacting them impossible. Abysmal service.

pizza delivered in a crumpled heap with cheese leaking everywhere. clearly was transported sideways with no care whatsoever. leaked everywhere. don't order if you want a pizza in its normal shape!!!
