Bella del Gelato in Barnet

I am Japanese based in UK. I have found super recommended gelato, that is Maccha and Houjicha. They are traditional Japanse tea flavour. Very nice. Only a limited chance. Please try them!!!

Llevé a mis nietas allí hoy como fin de vacaciones escolares. Nuestra primera visita y definitivamente volveremos. Tuvimos que esperar aproximadamente media hora, pero nos dijeron cuando pedimos. Era la hora del almuerzo y estaba muy ocupado. El personal fue muy amable y servicial. Tenía muchas lapiceras de colores, pero no había nada para que los niños dibujaran, así que se pusieron un poco inquietos esperando. Excelente menú y los pasteles y los pasteles para morirse.

Qué estafa, casi ningún sabores y caro y el personal no habla buen inglés no volveré. Recomendaría este lugar? No hay nada en absoluto. Podríais ir a la ciudad y conseguir más variedad y mejor relación calidad-precio

I thought it's certified kosher according to the poster on the door, but I saw staff working there on Shabbat. It wasn't open for customers but doesn't this make it treyf?

Pretty long waiting time, but absolutely worth it! We had the raspberry sorbet and melon sorbet as well as a Belgian waffle, and all were delicious. Well worth a stop!

This is a small ice cream shop with really lovely home made sorbet and ice cream.. Good quality with no artificial additives. Could do with some more sorbet flavours please.

Ok, here's the problem here. The place is lovely and the crepes are super tasty... but I somehow always got sick every time i visited this place. The batter is probably very heavy to digest. We used to visit this place quite often until we understood the stomach heaviness was general and not only mine.

* About the place: Tiny, simple little, no-frills kind of ice-cream shop on the high street, that has a clean and pleasant atmosphere inside, with a few small 2-seater tables available. I think they also serve sweet crepes, sweet waffles, sundaes and frozen yoghurt as well as ice cream (though we just sampled the gelato). It was quiet and relaxed when we visited, with soft music playing in the background. * About the ice cream: - The Flavours: - There were 16 flavours on offer; a lot of classic flavours (chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut, pistachio, mint, cookies & cream etc) a few less common ones (chocolate oreo, coconut, peach & mango, mixed berries, lemon, melon, green apple) and a few REALLY imaginative / unusual ones (eg avocado, beetroot!) - The appearance: - The ice cream is beautifully presented in the Italian style creamy waves that look very enticing! - The taste: - The lady serving us was friendly, patient and kind, allowing us to taste quite a few of the flavours before ordering. All had a beautiful soft and creamy texture. Some flavours were better than others. In my opinion the best ones were the Belgian Chocolate (rich, creamy, chocolatey, delicious!) and the Hazelnut, though other good ones were the pistachio and coconut. The oreo one was too subtle-tasting and not chocolatey enough for me personally, whilst the beetroot and avocado ones were certainly interesting to sample but I wouldn't order a whole scoop of one of those, though I suppose someone else may like them better than I did - particularly the beetroot was not bad. I love that shops try new quirky flavours like these - that's how great discoveries are made! * About the portion sizes: VERY generous portions. Usually I have no trouble polishing off a 2-scoop portion but I struggled to get through their 2 scoops despite them being delicious - it was that generous! * About the price: At the time I was there it was £2.50 for 1 scoop, £4 for 2 scoops. Fairly standard pricing for a London gelato shop I think. * Overall: A little gem of a gelato place in Golders Green. I've recently tried a number of gelato places in North London (eg Ruby Violet in Tufnell Park, Rileys in Crouch End, and Gelato Mio in St Johns Wood) and I have to say, I think Bella del Gelato is my current personal favourite in terms of flavour, creaminess and value. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area, craving a sweet treat.

Lovely place to have an ice cream the darl chocolate is my favourite my girl freind love the Melon and tge ferrero roacher so wd decide to go for a sundae . Freindly staff. Well recomended

Very very nice ice cream. I had Vanilla and chocolate. They are definitely home-made. Not fatty like haagendess but very rich creamy taste.

We order an ice cream cake gor our daughter We really tried hard but apparently most of ice cream shops make only ide fream cake with no sponge .Likely our freind suggest that litlle ice cream shop in golders green road and honestly it was spot on yhe cake was to perfection as requested.So highly recomend this place for ice fream cakes and of course a lovely sundae as ican not wait till night to cut the cake.

This is simply the best ice cream I have ever tasted – anywhere in the world! Not rich (like many) and not over sweet (like most others because sugar is a cheap bulking agent!). Nothing artificial and hand-whipped. Each flavour is delicious, but the melon, hazelnut, blood orange sorbet, yoghurt and coffee are particularly outstanding. They even do ice cream to take home in insulated boxes!

Lovely, good quality, unpretentious ice cream! Quite a small place but worth it and nice outside seating. Will come back, I think.

Walked by the shop with a friend so we stopped by for a scoop of ice cream. As the name is Bella del Gelato we thought it'd be italian style ice cream, but what we got was a hard scoop of flavourless ice. Mine was Nutella and it seemed like like it had melted and was frozen again, even the nuts tasted stale. Not at all creamy nor tasty, we couldn't even finish it.

Really delicious ice creams!!! Very small shop but really nice atmosphere. Friendly staff and amazing flavours! Recommending for solo couple and family!

Don't blink or you will miss this bijoux ice cream parlour! Super cute mash-up of Japanese-style decor and Italian-style gelato and American-style portion sizes. Both the Dark Chocolate and Belgium Chocolate are highly recommended. But tree nut allergy suffers beware: the typical 'made in a kitchen where nuts are handled' warning is correct at Bella del Gelato. Cross-contamination from the many nutty flavours ruined an otherwise wonderful experience.

The ice cream here is amazing! I had caramel and my husband had strawberry, both were creamy and delicious, like being in Italy! Very big portions too so will be coming back soon!

I love this place!!!!I first tried proper Gelato in Melbourne and this is the nicest I've tasted since then.There are always lots of flavours and sometimes a couple of sorbets. I bring everyone I know here. The guy who works there is really friendly too. You MUST come here!

Visited for the 1st time 2 weeks ago out of curiosity due to the que spilling out on to the high street.I have been back several times!The selection of at least 16 different ice creams is vast, from melon to caramel, pear, pistachio, passion fruit, they are all delicious, you can even sample the ice cream on a taster spoon to help you decide! Amazing to find high quality ice cream like this in the UK, the staff are also very helpful and friendly, Highly recommend!

The choice is amazing, the taste is 1000 times better.If I'm staying in Golders Green it's a not to be walked past.It's not just ice cream but a truly delicious place in a futile town. GO EAT TIL YOUR SICK

Probably not a good day to have ice cream as it was freezing cold and raining, but then I love ice cream and cannot resist it.Good to note that the ice cream has some very interesting flavours. I will reserve judgment on this place as it was just too cold to enjoy.I will definitely be back.
