Bel & Nev London I go to Bel & Nev 3 or 4 times a week usually for breakfast or lunch. It’s my no.1 favourite place to go to eat. All the staff are beyond helpful and friendly - it's universally known as a super friendly, neighbourhood, family run venue. It is largely frequented by locals and regulars many of whom return on a daily basis. I would lay money on the fact you'd struggle to fnd anyone with a bad word to say about the food, service, ambiance or staff. It is also incredibly well priced. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Lots its charm? And check your bill. They overcharged me. I rang the cafe to find out what the prices should have been £29 for 1 egg / toast / 1 sausage and and avocado and a tea and scrambled egg / bacon / toast and a tea. I spoke to Bel and in first making a fuss and trying to justify costs and that if there are extras they add up and that everything is very expensive for them to buy in (eggs etc, they are a small cafe). I thanked her for explaining, tried to chat along, say yes I understand, that makes sense etc). I had to ask for her to work out what it should have cost (each item charged individually) and it was calculated that yes I was overcharged. I felt it important to feedback on 3 visits in that week how Emily seemed a unfriendly, unhelpful and dismissive and standoffish that week and in describing what occurred, which I had not experienced before and that usually she / everyone is friendly and how I want to support the local business. At first she said maybe Emily was nervous. She was continuously defensive and kept talking and trying to justify without acknowledging or apologising and repeating ‘it works both ways’ without being clear or indicating what she meant. Then had the audacity to indicate that I was not polite. How did she even know who I was when she was not there that day and when I know that each time I have gone in I greet them with a warm smile and have made enquiries into how they are etc. and I have just taken the rudeness without saying anything when it occurred in that week. Even then if a customer did go in and feel the member of staff was unfriendly does that justify their staff to be rude and standoffish? Does that justify the owner to make assumptions and insult a loyal customer simply trying to be amenable and flag up some issues? Double rudeness! There was no thanks or appreciation for the feedback or that she would have a word with her to find out what may have occurred. Enough was enough and I explained I did not call to receive a reprimanding lecture and such a defensive attitude. And upon being overcharged, I felt I needed to explain what had happened and how I felt. Thankfully, I now have my refund but I have explained I won’t be returning. The area is thankfully blessed with a number of great other cafes. So not my loss. Surely a business owner in these challenging times need to hold on to business and customer loyalty in these challenging times and especially so within a small community in which I work, children attend schools in and everyone knows everyone? Seriously lacking in business and customer service skills in dealing with a dissatisfied customer and in doing all they can to ensure the customer is happy. It doesn’t take much to say apologise for when service goes awry on top of overcharging a customer. Huge shame.

Nice to return post pandemic and discover that their banana bread is as fantastic as before. Very buttery. A small , friendly independent cafe which utilises its outside seating well. Very dog friendly.

We were looking for a place to eat for brunch in the Kensal Green area and came across Bel and Nev’s. Decided to give it a try as it looked great from the outside, walked in to friendly smiles and a great smell. Would recommend this place even if you aren’t in the area, I would definitely travel just to come here. Food was really tasty, along with the coffee and fresh banana bread. Really recommend this lovely place.

A must place to visit and have a nice brunch. Staff extremely helpful (attentive), smiley faces all around, and the food, my God, the food was incredible; maybe one of the best cheese toasts that I have had. Fresh orange juice was lovely, macchiatos were perfect and to wrap up, you must have the Banana Bread and a Brownie with caramel. I'm telling you, it was a great brunch!

It’s fair to say that the thing I miss most in lockdown is my breakfasts at Bel & Nev. It’s tiny and the menu isn’t enormous but it doesn’t matter because what they do, they do brilliantly. The menu is lovingly put together by Bel and Nev - the husband and wife owners - and everyone has their own particular favourite. Mine’s their unique, homemade granola. For my 84 year old mother it’s their homemade salted caramel brownies so she always eats two in a row. It’s not just the food though - it’s the ambiance. Bel and Nev and the wonderful Niz make this place the heart of our community and a home from home for lots of customers. So a five star review - when they reopen you should go. Obviously don’t take my table 🙂

A lot of people come here for an informal lunch. Maybe on a sunny day they sit outside. I come here for the toast and the coffee both of which are excellent, and to watch the world go by on its way to and from Kensal Rise station. There is a cafe paper (The Guardian natch) but doing the crossword is frowned upon, and in these cosy surroundings that is important. Like many similar establishments, you do wonder how they manage to deliver good in such cramped surroundings, and while they don't do gourmet 3 course meals, what they do will fuel you up and is very capably produced. Eggs and avocados feature a lot, but there's always a special treat and for those, like me, who want excellent toast and very good coffee, there's nowhere as good for miles.

This place looks so inviting and we'd heard such good things, so we excited to finally have a day where neither it or us were too busy, and we didn't have too many people or pushchairs to fit inside. We went for a lunch while our eldest boy had his first day at school, and our wonderful meal helped reduce our anxiety considerably! It has a straightforward but delicious menu of brunchy delights made with real care and skill just a couple of metres from your table. I had the sausage, fried duck egg and rocket sandwich in wonderfully soft brioche and it arrived insta-perfect and tasting even better than it looked. Sausage was amazing. Lovely relaxed vibe in the whole place. Go!

You know how you always seek those small, hidden gems? Those places that the locals love to hang out in? Well Bel & Nev are just that. Simply decorated, warm, inviting and very child-friendly. Food is fresh and delicious. In particular I think their Smashed Avo is the best I've had! We love Bel & Nev.

This is a small local family run establishment serving really good quality food. I had one of their specials, Jalepeno cornbread with chilli jam, avocado, bacon and eggs - it was delicious! Will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I went for brunch one weekend. The cafe is under new management and now called Willow Tree Cafe. The late breakfast we had was superb. The friendly service we had was prompt and polite. The atmosphere was calm, friendly, and family orientated. I have not hesitation in recommending.

Both the waiters and the cook were very pleasant. They guided us on what to order. Good quality-price ratio.
