Delicious Chinese every time, don’t go anywhere else.

Apart from the fact that the food appears to have come from another planet and of course they did the usual inconvenient demanding cash , not card - I can’t really complain. Unless you want to include the unnecessary fluorescent red sweet-and-sour sauce, The lumps of white sugar crystals that were in the so-called crispy seaweed otherwise known as (cheap and nasty cabbage,)The showstopper is the vegetarian spring rolls that had a token sprinkling of vegetables in it - bulked out by what I can only describe as some kind of nasty gelatinous substance. It’s clear that this restaurant doesn’t care about quality of food for its customers. I’ve just read that it’s got a two star rating for restaurant hygiene. I’ve literally never seen spring rolls full of gelatinous substance. They clearly think we’re stupid and will eat anything I couldn’t even be bothered to complain to them directly, but I will be straight after I’ve written this because quite honestly, I can’t eat that , Whatever is on my plate right now.

I have left one star because I was charged £12 for two pancake rolls. I could not check the price as I was told they were large and not on the menu. Anyway I don’t eat much Chinese takeaway food but when I got home my husband said the standard price everywhere else in Shrewsbury would be £4 for two. I went back and the person who served me said she was sorry she had mistakenly charged me for two portions. Given that one portion cost £7 (I was refunded £5), the final figure (£12) didn’t add up. I am pretty sure I was still overcharged in the end and not only that I was lied to as well!! Won’t be going back.

Good Chinese takeaway, friendly service, food cooked quickly (hadn't ordered ahead), perhaps rushed slightly as the chop suey was more watery than ideal - the sauce had thickened for seconds later on. Chicken balls in batter a little underdone, should be crispy on the outside imo. Food very tasty and plenty of succulent fresh veg. So I would say just take an extra 5 mins rather than rush, I don't mind waiting that bit more for properly done food. Waiting room is tiny but nothing can be done about that. Would advise ordering ahead. Cash only.

Food generally good, delivery is poor never on time not late by a bit but over 1 hour, then when it does turn up it’s cold and gone soft , this has happened twice now so you won’t see me back again

Don’t eat from here !!! Maggots in chicken

I wouldn't ever go there again. Half way through eating our meal we realised there were MAGGOTS in our food , utterly discusting. Phoned spoke to manager who was sorry at first and totally admitted liability and was reassured he would throw food away and have a word with staff and I was told to take food back to the Chinese to prove it was what I said it was. After travelling 14 miles back to the Chinese we was greeted by a very aggressive man who tried to snatch the container of food back of my self. I have videos photos and recordings of the manager accepting liability and maggots in food. We have done nothing but throw up since , just the thort of eating maggots ... no refund or nothing offered. Utterly discusting.

I love the food from here and the delivery drivers are always so nice HOWEVER I am constantly being charged different prices for the exact same meal. I order once a month(ish) as a treat but One month i could be charged about £18-19, the next month its about £16, then its back up to about £20, this evening it was nearly £23!! again for The EXACT SAME ORDER! seems a bit weird, but the food is worth it :)

I'm addicted to their curry sauce. Love the roast pork curry. I recommend this place.

I'm really surprised by some of the bad reviews on here. Ive been going here for years and have had various dishes, all of which have been very good (the spare ribs being a bit too spicy would be my only slight complaint). They use proper chicken, rather than the horrible boiled stuff used in some takeaways, and the sauces are tasty being cooked by the same guy for many years. Seeing the complaints about lengthy delivery times seems mad to me - its because they are busy......because the food is good! If you ring up and collect it yourself instead, it's usually a max 30-45 minute wait. I'm surprised it's cash only, but there's a cashpoint at the Co-op opposite so its not the end of the world

Bloody love this Chinese. Been going here for over ten years and always loved it. The duck in plum sauce is simply incredible. Got to be the best in Shrewsbury.

Would have gave no stars,we have been ordering from the Beijing for years but the last couple of times it has been terrible, ordered food at 6.30 was told up to a hour for delivery, 8.15 still no food,rang up and was told it was on its way and if I didn't have within 20 minutes to ring back,so still no food at 8.35 so rang back up and was told it was a new delivery driver and that they would not be using her again for she was taking to long so after waiting over 2 hours for the food husband phoned up to cancel the order only to be told that it hadn't left.what a joke will definitely not be using them again 😡😡.

Food smelt burnt and over done..

I've been using Beijing Terrace since it was a restaurant under the now demolished multistorey carpark. Testing the memory of Shrewsbury resident's! It's an awesome place, the food is fab. I must have ordered hundreds of times and I could count the disappointments on one hand. Don't hesitate to order from here, you won't regret it

Pretty bad first Time for a couple of years and wouldn't go again it was very good in the past but now not worth the money. Avoid if you want authentic Cantonese/ Chinese food go somewhere else.

Food is really good from here but on this occasion Ordered for delivery told 1-1 1/2 hours for delivery over 2 hours later I cancelled ordered and got from elsewhere, tell us realistic delivery times.

Without a doubt, the best prawn crackers ever! We tend to get the same, but the sweet and sour chicken, chili chips, crispy duck and hot and sour soup are delicious, good portions too

Would never recommend to anyone. Would give 0 stars if I could. Tried here today for the first time after hearing loads of good reviews and it is absolutely disgusting. BBQ spare ribs look nothing like ribs and are in sweet and sour sauce, egg fried rice has no taste and is literally white rice with clumps of egg, it’s overly expensive and portions are tiny. Do not go here. Wish I never wasted my money .

Very disappointed, heard amazing things about this place, our first time using it, chow me in was burnt and stank of smoke, the chicken balls were very soft and inside the batter didn't seem cooked enough, missing spring rolls and over an hour to collect, the satay chicken was so spicy nobody could eat it and we all have sore throats now, totally gutted by this meal

It was okay Egg fried rice is basic boiled rice with scrambled egg in it. Chow main had no really flavour. Chicken balls was okay.

I've always used this chinese. Never had a problem till tonight. Ordered beef curry and egg fried rice. Imagine my horror when i get home to tuck into find prawn curry. Not happy at all. Called straight away and no answer. Really disappointed.

Outstanding food from good hard working people. I've been using Beijing Terrace since they were under the multi storey carpark and I can honestly say the quality of the food and the service has always been first class.

horrendous chinese. staff are awful. My curry was so spicy burnt all the roof of my mouth. Never have I tasted one this spicy. I rang up and they told me nothing they could do. will not recommend and will never have another one from there.

Excellent food at reasonable prices, the meal for two is great value, the only trouble is you need four of you to eat it.

Hands down the best Cantonese takeaway I've ever been to. The food is outstanding

After ordering for 2 portions of chicken balls Cantonese style, only 1 arrived for delivery. We phoned in and we're instantly met with an aggressive individual, after explaining the situation. Highly recommend they change their customer service and actually be polite and considerate to their customers. For those phoning in for additional information or help on their order, be ready to be met with rude staff members.
