Beijing Garden Restaurant in Sutton

We have been many times, since the new owners have taken over the quality of the food has gone down, service poor, portion size now very small. Food served was only warm, asked staff to re: heat, no apology did not seem to care about customer service at all, waited a long time between courses. Will not be returning.

So disappointed to see that the Beijing Garden has increased all its dishes in price, some by a whacking 30%!!! Example: 1/2 crispy duck was £17.50 now £23.50. Egg fried rice was £3.80 now £5.00. Such a shame as we used this restaurant for eat in and takeaway regularly, now we can’t afford it! Won’t be going there again. I imagine they will now lose loads of business.

Nothing to shout about. Average food flavour and quality.

Always great food and very tasty

Not nice at all. Slimy noodles, curry sauce was disgusting, spring rolls were not nice. Most of it went in the bin.

The food was delicious. Well cooked. Well seasoned. I will order again.

Absolutely amazing Chinese, very tasty. Highly recommend it.

Simple but clean decor and great atmosphere. Lovely staff, quiet, very friendly and welcoming, unassuming but very efficient. Food, from an extensive menu, and service was excellent.

The Pad thai was flavoursome but the curry sauce, shrimp fried rice and king prawn chow mein was very bland 😔

First time ordering and we were so impressed duck pancakes were lovely, prawn toast was like no other really tasty and a big portion. Rest of the food was lovely too. Even the prawn crackers were the best Iv ever had! Thank you

Ordered a cheeky Tuesday Chinese that was very disappointing. One dish was burnt to the extent you could smell it when opening the container. Two dishes arrived without sauce - sweet and sour sauce is the dish! The rest of the food was mediocre at best - wondering if what we got was reheated. A shame as I’ve had nice food from Beijing Garden in the past.

The soup was burnt, i could not eat it. i have kept it safe to show it to chef / resturant so that they can improve.

Good experience with this restaurant. The aromatic duck was already shredded, which I like, rather than one large piece on bone for me to separate. Everything was packaged well & food is very tasty. The delivery driver followed instructions on where to find house & was early, but not too early, which was a nice surprise.

Everything was spot on, my only complaint would be I wish I’d of known how much ginger was in the duck and pineapple as I wouldn’t of ordered it! But that’s my food preference hence why I have still given full stars . We will definitely order from here again

Brilliant as usual, always good quality, never had a bad meal from here and the prawn crackers are amazingly thin just how we like them.

Crispy been has no beef in it! Felt quality was lacking in all dishes.

The food was delicious, good portion. The only thing is that I wish the paper wrapped prawn were serve without lettuce because the lettuce made them a little bit soggy.

Took ages to arrive, no plum sauce with duck pancakes

Bit disappointing. Prawn with tomato tasted of Heinz tomato soup and the crispy beef was Worcestershire sauce flavoured. Quite greasy overall and no real flavour to any of it- even the egg fried rice. Last visit.

I’ve ordered from BG before so today’s delivery was very disappointing. The salt and chilli squid was cheap and rubbery tasting, and the noodles were just satisfactory. A real shame. Unfortunately, this has just put me off.

In desperate need of a full refurbishment. Food is OK, some of it is quite nice. Tatty furnishings and disgusting carpet in the restaurant, along with pebbledashed/artex walls! So dated.

Best Chinese, my absolute favourite

The worst Chinese food ever! Avoid, avoid, avoid. We've been ordering from here for years and I really am shocked to be writing such a poor review. Where do I start? The food took just 14 minutes from me putting the phone down to appear at my front door. Half of the order was missing, 25 minutes later, the rest of the order appears. The food was just disgusting. My partner ordered special fried rice, he bit into it and chewed through a bone which practically made him vomit (nice). The chicken balls were full of oil, beef in black bean - the sauce was nice but the beef was like rubber and inedible. Curry sauce - dont even get me started. Disgusting. Rude staff. I did recieve a refund, they came and collected the food so they could give me the refund (yes, really, they came and collected the food). Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Excellent food, the chilli Beef and ginger chicken were very tasty.

I had a takeaway some years ago and was not impressed but thought I would give it a try. Sadly the food was very poor with little flavour. I would suggest to go elsewhere

Food wasn’t even cooked when went to collect! Was told it would be 20mins, waited almost an hour with no updates on my food! website saying the food has been collected when they haven’t even made it! Considering the food has ‘just been’ cooked, food wasn’t hot, the ribs came literally as a pot of bones. Poor experience tonight.

Best Chinese around! The food came quicker then expected which is great. Was hot, flavoursome and great portion size. Always order from here and will keep doing so.

Ordered at 7.10. Delivery bracket was 8.25-8.45. Arrived at 9.11. It doesn’t really matter whether the food is any good if it takes two hours to arrive.

There was a large shell fragment in my order. Really dangerous practice which could severely injure/kill someone.

Chicken balls more dough than chicken. Not enough sweet & sour sauce. Gristle in the roast chicken Chinese style. Kung Po chicken was nice

We are currently isolating due to COVID and asked for the food to be left inside the porch with no contact, delivery driver did exactly that and socially distanced. Nice to know that the delivery notes are read.

Beautiful, flavourful food. Especially loved the Kung Po Chicken which had a lovely spice.

Ordered at 16:01 the website said 45 minutes. Arrival time then changed to between 17:10-17:30. Turned up at 17:36. Phoned twice to ask where it was to be told “it will be 10 minutes” and it wasn’t. Have eaten in the restaurant and really enjoyed it but won’t get a takeaway from here again.

Our fave Chinese. Best crispy beef. Love the salt and pepper mushrooms and beans. No complaints

As always, great food- but it’s worth ordering early on weekends as it tends to take longer than estimated (this order took 1 hour 35). Worth the wait if you plan in advance though!

The worsts food I have had from a Chinese, chewy chicken, horrible satay, rice tasteless, never again! Be warned, only good thing delivery, nothing to do with them ! Please try somewhere else!!!

The food really doe not have no taste at all, everything was so bland and arrived cold, the beef curry had a very weird funny smell to it,.and had huge chunks of mushroom which was very off putting, could of made them bitesized. There was nothing special about the special fried rice practically white mushy rice with peas and chicken. 🥴

Food was supposed to arrive at 8.30, food arrived at 9.28. Most of the family went off to bed by this time as it was too late

This is my first ever review on Just Eats and I wouldn’t do it unless necessary. Food was really horrible. Beef Curry had no taste of curry in it. Wonton Soup just tasted like wonton in boiled water. Chicken Balls were soaking in oil. The Salt and Pepper Squid was so soggy. I will never ever order from here again as it’s ruined my night. Everything’s in the bin.
