Was looking forward to coming here, booked a time slot, door never opened at the correct time, was not greeted, no contact by staff, felt like I was the only person in the building, just put my coat on and left, very disappointed with lack of communication, service, if there was any issue, it would have been kind to let me know and I would have cooperated.

Contacted the venue by telephone to arrange booking for my mums 60th. Person who answered the call could not assist with my query & suggested I email instead. I sent two emails & one social media enquiry and still no response. Shocking customer service.

First time here. Front window wide open creating a very pleasant atmosphere.

Didn't have food. Dropped in for a drink, comfortable seats, good service.

Nice place for a quiet drink and catch up with friends

I like beGin ,we use it as a meeting point and sometimes ending point if we're having a meal out on byres rd or great western road this it's a nice little place varies in businesses, can have a chat easily and good selection of Drinks , can be slightly pricey on certain things though.

Hostile unwelcoming delusional fascist sort of a door man created the most tense pint of tennants I’ve ever had. Never been a patron before to this bar, and thought I’d give it a go since my Canadian friend visiting the country was in town. Needless to say I was shocked and embarrassed about how this portrays glasgow bars, the usual warm hospitality, general good vibes weren’t there due to a confrontation member of staff. after swiftly leaving after one drink I reassured my friend that glasgow bars are typically friendly and welcoming to all but not this one with that door man who must live in a very tiny world of his own.

Loved beGIN's perfect serve selection historically, so was a bit bemused when there was no gin menu in sight upon last visiting 🤔

Good choice of gins on display however 2 out of the 5 draught pumps not working.

Absolutely bogging stood for 30 min to get served. Staff was ignorant. Counter at bar was so dirty when I was handed a menu. I could not pick it up from the bar as it was stuck to the spills from the night before I will never be back so disappointed considering the options in the West end avoid at all cost Ps fix the toilet seat in the ladies before some gets hurt and files a claim my partner had a near miss with a detached toilet seat poor show guys

Lack of training in here . Slow service, although nice young guy, reading gin bramble ingredients from back wall SLOW. both drinks differed in mix quantities . Brought plastic refill ice bucket through, didn’t wash hands then picked mint for glass. Young girl attitude stinking. Another lost customer!!

We had a 2 cocktail ItIsOn Deal so it was very good value. The bar had just opened for the day so it was quiet, the barman brought our drinks to our table and they were great.

5-star experience. We had the Gin tasting session which encompassed 3 local gins paired with fruit and tonics. Accompanied by smoked almonds, salt and pepper crisps and black olives. The waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, guiding us through the pairings. Our favourite was the height of arrows distilled at Holyrood in Edinburgh. Thank you for the experience and expanding our palate, we'll be back.

Nice quiet atmosphere, decor is modern and good variety of drinks. Most of the tables were reserved, but we were only stopping for a couple of drinks. We would return. Clean toilet facilities.

Nice venue and not to be put off because it's part of a hotel. Staff were absolutely fantastic, especially our waiter (Icelandic name that I can't remember) who made our visit special! Plenty of gin, mixers and garnishes to decide from. Great vibe about the place! Highly recommend visiting!

Having lived in the West End for 7 years, the new staff have made this one of my favourite bars. Bloody well done.

Cavernous and sometimes a little lacking in atmosphere but staff are always super friendly and overall a nice place for drinks.

A lovely valentines night in Begin. The gin flight was great and out waitress was so friendly and couldnt do enough for us! Plus who doesnt love a chocolate strawberry 🍓 The drinks choice is really vast and the decor is amazing! 🍸

It's just an offshoot of the Grosvenor Hilton complex so expect hotel prices. We arrived before the rush on the weekend so service was fine. The wine list is a bit uninspired but the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed which I appreciated after a long day. Staff were attentive without ever being obtrusive.

We had a pleasant, short, visit to the BeGin bar whilst we were waiting on a friend. It was early evening, so not too busy. Morover, we were greeted warmly by a young, female, member of staff who was very welcoming and friendly as well as knowledgeable about the menu and drinks available. Nice atmosphere and decor. I'd defineately visit this bar again.

Unfortunately it was very very very disappointing. The poorest wine list I have seen in Glasgow, no personal touch from staff or management and overall not a nice experience. Tasteless glass of fizz and blunt wine and rude bar staff/ managers. For a bar acting as reception/ first impression of a Hilton? 1/10 stars. I wouldn't bother at all since there were 4 people all together in the premises and we waited for over 15 minutes to get served

Danny looked after me, mum and my aunts as we had some beautiful cocktails before the rocky horror show. We used a groupon voucher for 8 cocktails for something like £22 which was unreal value. I got a ‘nae g & t’ being pregnant and it was every bit as nice. Thank you for giving us such a great experience- well recommended.

Absolutely excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our gin cocktails. Our bartender was so informative and helpful. Even the fire alarm going off didn't spoil our day. The chocolate orange cocktail was absolutely delicious. Def my favourite x

Definitely geared up more towards the 'ladies who lunch' vibe but the staff were very clued up about the gins on offer. Slightly pricey at over £8 per drink but then it is the West End! Good for a wee treat and definitely worth a shout if you are into your gin.

Part of the Grosvenor Hilton Hotel, this is a warm and inviting establishment that, as the name suggests, specialises in serving gin (although other alcoholic beverages are also available). There are a wide range of gins on offer and they are best taken as a double measure, with garnish, and a bottle of Fevertree tonic. Depending on the gin, it'll set you back about 12 and a half quid (for the double). Very nice they are too. I only stayed for one ...at that price I'm sticking to beer!

It's expensive. Gin bars are ever the rage, but at approx £10 a drink (for 1) it's a treat!! Been a few times, but the last time it was awful. Not going to venture back.

Had a really nice time here ,went with my Wife and Sister who were looking for a range of cocktails, we had advice from Lauren who was very helpful and friendly and also Dan,we would highly recommend ,the only reason for dropping a star is it did look a bit tired in some parts and could do with a facelift.

Had a fantastic experience here was servered by a blonde girl who was well disposed and extremely accomadating. My friend and I had a few gins each which we thoroughly enjoyed along with a genorous portion of Nachos which were also really good. Will definitely be back, one of my new favourite bars in Glasgow!

Nice cocktail menu and a great atmosphere. Bar staff are brilliant when they provide table service but there aren’t enough of them behind the bar when you’re looking for quick service.

dark and dingy - no atmosphere - you would expect better from hilton

This gin "haven" is very unassuming from the outside and we really stopped in somewhat by accident. Happy surprise! They have one of the nicest selections of Gins I've found and a true cocktail artisans array of botanicals and fruits that can send you on a very nice customizable tasting experience. The "Botanic Gardens" is an herbal gin mojito and one of my favorites, but I also encouraged the barman's suggestion and ended up with a Roku Gin complimented by a sliver of apple and a couple of cardamon seeds. Nice. Environment is cozy with a wide variety of seating options. Will return

Too pricey, no atmosphere, staff busying themselves eg cleaning while you're wsiting to be setved. Sitting outside people-watching was cool, and they had blankets there too. Nice idea, but better if they were washed. Really needs to be every day. I'm not overly fussy but they were visibly filthy!

Was a great place to kill some hours on previous business trips but the playlist was absolutely terrible (Aerosmith, Shanice, Take That) so I'll be spending my money elsewhere. Coldplay in the Grosvenor lobby was eclectic by comparison...

Super quiet on a rainy Wednesday afternoon, the staff really took the time to find your perfect gin. Good selection of gin, well made and delivered by a very pleasant ginologist. Don't know if the experience is scaleable in peak hours, I hope so.

Good selection of gins and the bar staff were knowledgeable enough to make recommendations! The cocktails were tasty. We didn't end up eating here though as the menu was too limited and uninspiring.. Some nicer nibbles (maybe cheese boards?) And sides would have made us stay longer and order more..
