Good food is slightly pricey but all the whole a nice visit.

Dreadful service. Checked on line plenty of times for lunch but when we got there the lady told us they were full! Tables were empty but because they had a large party she refused us entry as no booking!! We checked on line and still plenty of available slots but we decided to go to Harvester. Beefeater lost a booking for 8 people because the lady had zero customer service skills!!

Personally, I love the setting, and the service was good, but it's your typical beefeater chain/pub food.

Very poor all round. Staff dont seem happy so very little engagement or info that car park cost can be refunded !! Only found out when I saw another diner putting card in. Waited ages for starters then again for mains. Both had steaks that were dry and grisly. Avoid

Worst mixed grill I have ever had ! Not value for money.

Took 20 mins too get our drinks. Also a blind man was standing waiting too be seated at least 20 mins I think small staffing issue.

I don't want to say too much as the service in the mornings during breakfast is usually on point though this time this evening me and the kids were waiting for service at the bar area for quote some time and no one was there so I went with them to the restaurant and waited for service at the post at the front. No service came for a while again. So I went up the stairs and found a waitress, I mentioned how we were waiting and eventually came upstairs, figured things may have changed. I asked if there was a table for three available and I was looking towards one close by. The tone from the waitress put me off, she was condescending and then asked if we had a reservation (half empty restaurant). Also, me asking if there was space to eat here would suggest we don't have a reservation. Anyway, her tone and abruptness put me off. We only popped in on the way when passing from our walk. It saved me £60 on an over priced chicken and kids puddings.

Went for lunch to celebrate my mum's birthday (Tuesday 6 Aug 2024) and the food and service were excellent! Particular mention to our server Amy who was beyond helpful, super friendly, kind and considerate. Definitely going back!

1 adult and 3 kids £21 for all you can eat breakfast. Food was cooked well and veggie options were good. Not exactly an inspiring or revolutionary culinary experience but great value for the kids.

Ribeye steak was ordered medium it came out well and lookwd a lot like a sirloin. The waitress was pleansant but not overly helpful or engaged with her job... scenic venue was nice

Adult portion but looked like a childs meal, waitress dropped half of the food on floor, apologised but didn't offer replacement. Waited 15 minutes for a cocktail to be made, paid for a sauce that they had run out of

Lamb roast dinner, not very good some raw potatoes lamb was very fatty stuffing ball was rock hard, the plates were dirty underneath, my ribs was not very hot the food has gone down hill at this place, won't be returning again

Bar menu is very limited. The presentation is awful. The amount of food is VERY small and over priced. AVOID

Me my hubby and our friends eat here often. The food is always good the service friendly. The last time we were in for our friends Birthday on the 1st July 2024, we had Emma serve our table who has done so before. She is so helpful and nothing too much is too much trouble for you. They hired a good one and should be very proud of her. Thank tou Emma for making our visit all the more enjoyable

We came for our anniversary. The service was great and quick and we were seated in a nice area of the restaurant. Food was lovely and hot. We will definitely be coming back again.

I stay here regularly and I can't fault the food. Emma is particularly great and her service is second to none, her attention to detail is spectacular and she always remembers the regulars... 5 stars well deserved.

Visited here a week ago, just for a day out for food. Reasonably quick service and very tasty burger. Always of high quality! I would say that it can get rather busy and sometimes low on staff, but overall everyone does a great job at taking care of all the tables and getting us our food and drinks. Definitely worth a visit!

Booked for Sunday to get a roast, was 14 of us for a birthday. Arrived just before 1pm to be told there was NO Roasts left at all.. at lunchtime on a Sunday!? So ordering random food that nobody was really up for now anyway as we were all there for a roast, we had lack luster dishes to say the least, and one set of ribs were not well done, they were cremated, was like the chef had dug up some bones from the Jurassic period. Waiter was obvs in a bad situation, but dealt with us and everything with amazing professionalism and couldn't fault him at all. Birthday ruined, won't be returning. Stars are purely for the waiter.

I visited the Beefeater Granary with my wife and 2 sons for an early Father’s Day meal, I must say we were very impressed with the service we received. Luke our waiter was especially efficient seeing to our needs as my wife has an allergy with onions. The food was fabulous, great menu to choose from, would highly recommend this restaurant and we are looking forward to visiting again keep up the good work. 👍🏻

Our family had an Unlimited Breakfast which was part of the Premier Inn package, food was nice but you don't get a lot of beans/mushrooms really. Bacon was perfectly well done to my liking! Could also help ourselves to the continental breakfast too so we all left with full bellies. The lady who took our order was lovely and so was the gentleman at the front of house too 😊

We were served by Emma today who was very lovely, friendly and helpful. The food came out promptly even for a busy Sunday. Really enjoyed our meal and our time out. Will be back again soon.

Visited from the midlands today 1/6/2024 ordered four lunches and 3 drinks at the cost of £83.00, omg I had exactly 7chips on my plate and the same on the others have never seen such a small meal for the cost.

Traveled today Northamptonshire to Peterborough to enjoy a lunch/dinner at this beefeater. We arrived and no staff member was at the front desk. I then Had to find a staff member who was sitting at a table on her phone to be told will be with you shortly. 5 mins later we asked for a table for 2 and was told we are not serving food till 4pm I replied it’s 4.10pm. The waitress then replied sorry we only have 1 staff member so you won’t be able to have food today. Very poor service at this beefeater. Can’t rate the food as couldn’t have any. Poor service

Drove from corby to this restaurant But sadly for us at 16:10 they wasn't serving food, they were short staffed, ie only One member of staff, who informed us this after 10 minutes of waiting around !!... This was a bank Holiday and we had planned a visit, such a disappointment to be turned away but luckily for us a local restaurant called the windmill which we 5 star and highly recommended as they catered for us with full staff and a excellent carvery.....sadly we won't be back to you as I will not risk being turned away again....turning customers away because you were short staffed imo is bad practice....zero star rating from me.....how are you even still trading

Food was absolutely disgusting, 2 of us had roast Lamb, it was so tough and full of fat. The roast potatoes and parsnips were so over cooked and everything was cool temp, we asked for a pot of gravy but apparently they didn’t have anymore ( this was over lunch time) and the rest of the party the food was Luke warm and all had about 10 chips but again so overdone and looked like been left under the lamp for a very long time. So so disappointing and not half the meals were eaten. Serving staff were great and she actually said we’ve had a lot of complaints today so definitely need to get rid of the “chef” !! Will not visit again!

Ordered a £21 fillet with fries, the fries were worse than ones you’d have at McDonald’s and the “fillet” looked like it had been picked up off the floor of a slaughterhouse and should’ve gone in the bin.

Can't say what the food was like booked a table and over an hour later nothing no food 45 mins after ordering When I asked the host about it due to having an appointment and having to leave I was called rude because I asked how long will it be and told if I had booked this wouldn't have happened There was people who came in after us who had been there ordered and left in this time frame this is why I asked.. I booked online before and was shown to a seat promptly When the host went to speak with the kitchen they said food will be 15 mins and when spoke with her colleague her colleague clearly told her you should have told me when you seated them Shame as I have been here before normally after golf but I will suggest to friends after this experience we should go else where from now on I would recommend if you have delays notifying your patrons about a long wait and most people will be fine with it

My hubby and me came here for dinner a few nights ago, my food was awful and cold, salmon was cooked far too long and was very dry. Very disappointed and have been here numerous times and never had any problems. Certainly wasn't worth what the bill came to, sorry to say we won't be coming again

Lovely Sunday dinner, truly didn't know what to expect as beefeater isn't the first name that rolls off your tongue when your deciding where to go on a Sunday, but this for me is a hidden Gem, from the barstaff to Emma, our waitress (who was unbelievably good) we was made to feel welcome and treated with respect, there was 8 of us ranging from 40+ down to 7 years old, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, certainly recommend

Decided to come here for breakfast with a friend. Didn't disappoint, good value, good food, friendly service. Couldn't ask for much more. Would come here again and recommend

We visited on a weeknight and whilst we were pleased that we were able to book at very short notice, our experience once we arrived left a lot to be desired. On arrival, we waited at the check-in desk for several minutes, being ignored by staff who seemed intent on not making eye contact with us (we're not that scary!), whilst I appreciate some staff were busy serving customers, some others just seemed completely oblivious to our presence! When we finally managed to get someone's attention, a member of staff came over, she did not have the courtesy to offer any kind of apology for ignoring us earlier, led us to our table and just dumped some menus down and walked off! Manners don't cost anything and it would be good if customer facing staff were made aware of that! Our waiter on the other hand, was a friendly young lad who was attentive and efficient, so clearly not all staff there are as discourteous as the first staff member we had the misfortune of encountering! There is only one word that could begin to describe our food - abysmal! We ordered breaded mushrooms to start; these were clearly overcooked and far too hard to cut through. Another member of our party ordered nachos with cheese and salsa for their starter - which turned out to be a plate of tortilla chips, a miniscule amount of grated cheese which hadn't been melted and salsa in the form of a few chopped tomatoes and onions! I ordered fish and chips for my main course - once again, as with the mushrooms, it was overcooked, the fish had dried out and parts of the batter were next to impossible to cut through let alone actually eat it! The chips were nice, I think that was the best bit of our meal! Make sure you validate your parking before you leave the restaurant or you will be fined. It would be good if the bit where you need to do this had some sort of sign indicating so, we noticed a few customers wandering around wondering where the machine was! We're certainly in no hurry to return to The Granary unless we particularly want to encounter rude staff (apart from the friendly waiter) and overcooked, carbonised food but their chips are nice!

Went for a family birthday. Big table of 10. Food was out quickly service was wonderful my sister even got a free bottle of prosecco because it was her birthday.

Service took a long time, the children’s area closed at 7pm which felt an hour too early. The food was expensive. Refillable drinks are a positive though

Even though we didn't book in advance, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great place to eat. The food was really good. Had to try the mixed grill as it's my go-to meal and it didn't disappoint (apart from not having sweet potato fries 😭) but in fairness the staff did pre-warn us before we sat down and ordered. Would definitely recommend visiting.

The bar was OK and the service at the bar was surly but not too slow. The waitress, Emma, was pleasant and helpful. The medium-rare steak was rare and cold, the skinny chips worse than McDonald's. Did I complain? No. I ate it all. The bar closed at 9.00, to the surprise of the patrons - no bell until drinking up time.

Met a couple of friends, just had a cuppa. Service was with a smile, lovely and warm as chilly outside. Cuppa was hot, served with biscuits, and a proper pot each with a decent sized cup. Would recommend 👌

Had a meal to celebrate a birthday and there were 14 of us. The food was great and our waitress, Libby, was amazing. She made sure we were happy with our meals, had everything we wanted and checked we had drinks topped up. A very good overall experience.

My wife had taken a friend to lunch, they ordered a mixed grill and a lasagna, the mixed grill was luke warm and wasn't anything special, the lasagna was a small portion which was burnt although not hot and tasted terrible, upon leaving they were informed that they no longer give free parking, a very expensive visit for absolute rubbish, we will never use this establishment again

Nice enough visit. Menu not large by any means but food quality was nice. The title Beef eater suggests to me that there would be a large range of meat dishes but that's not the case. We had a vegetarian with us too and they noted only a couple of options available to them. Price is a bit more expensive than your average pub. A steak meal was around £23 although there was a slightly cheaper option. Portion sizes look small so there's no wastage I guess. Two pints of average larger came to just under £12 and added to this there is a car park but you have to pay. The 2 hour stay was just under £6.00 I gave 4 stars because the steak pie tasted nice and I was in good company. Price and menu could do with looking at. Car parking should be included in my view.

A lovely restaurant which is our go-to food place. The booths provide enough privacy, the service is quick and polite as you like. The food is always good.

Came in last night and was served by a lovely young girl who was attentive and really made the experience for us. Our server Chloe was an absolute gem and we will definitely be back!
