Beefeater Bamford Arms Meeting Room & After Funeral Services in Stockport

We arrived at the bamford arms to meet with family for a farewell breakfast (as my daughter had been staying in the hotel for a few days before emigrating) We we’re greeted with a big smile & a warm & friendly welcome by the lovely Gemma, nothing was to much trouble Gemma, I would also like to mention that the breakfast was fantastic & I will be sure to recommend to my family & friends. Gemma is a real credit to this establishment 5* to Gemma 😊

Enticed back by the 40% off mains offer this branch was convenient and on our route home. Initial impression after logging in car registration number for parking was a tired and slightly grubby place. Gents toilet cubicle on ground floor was unusable as someone had been sick. Going upstairs to restaurant, although quiet we had to wait a few minutes whilst a table was reset. Menus were sticky and aircon was too cold but this was remedied. Advised that several starters and main course including salmon & fish/chips were not available at 8pm on a Friday. Ordered fillet steak and chips with peas instead of standard mushroom & tomato. It arrived without too long a wait and the chips were very hot. Steak was tender, juicy and flavoursome and reminiscent of previous visits to Beefeater restaurants. Opted to share a sticky toffee pudding and this was quite tasty, reasonable sized for sharing but ice cream was a bit bland/watery. Overall the food was very good. There seemed to be a lack of wait staff so they were kept busy as several tables on the go. Would expect issues if the place was busier. Value was reasonable as it still cost £21pp with the discount having had a pint of Stella to drink which was >£5. Upstairs toilets were cleaner but are quite claustrophobic with shabby paintwork indicating the place needs a makeover.

Really nice ribs and mixed grill. Couldn’t fault the meat. Lovely staff who go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your meal! Thank you.

Friendly staff, quick service, decent, fresh food. 1 star off because they didn’t have a draft bitter, but that’s just me being picky.

Lovely food, service was excellent, Nyvasha and Laura would recommend to all. Only here one night but would definitely consider coming here again if in the area!

Met some friends ,who had come from Cumbria.i havent been in here for 20 years, I was very impressed with booking system. Whole experience was really good,smooth,easy. Service from Naomi was great. I had lasagna,my friends both had beef & ale pie and it was all hot,served very well and very tasty. I will definitely be back. Thankyou.

Nyvasha was very helpful and made our stay very pleasant. We were staying away from home with work so breakfast set us up for the day - as we stayed 3 nights and spent a night in the restaurant - service just as good and she was very attentive to our needs - would recommend

In town for a business trip as a solo traveller, I was made very welcome and Nyvasha and Molly were very attentive, nothing was of any problem for them to do. The food was very tasty and well presented, I was on the meal deal from the Premier Inn next door (all the items in the pictures was part of the meal deal). It was excellent value for money, the place is reasonably priced even if I wasn’t. Molly and Nyvasha chatted to customers when the restaurant was quieting down, they were very polite and friendly making myself and others relaxed and valued.

Molly and laura served us tonight for a business trip we have had planned, staying in the hotel next door we was greeted with a smile and a nice welcome from Molly at the bar, served our drinks straight away. Laura served us food, asking if she could help with anything else, the food was lovely and Molly has kept us topped up for the rest of the night, thank for for a lovely night. Helia was also great help in the main hotel

Attention to detail was great from start to finish, and nothing was too much trouble from Naomi. The food was amazing, so hats off to Josh the Chef! Will definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

Went on the 22nd of october with some mates. Great food and price, the desert was fabulous. We didn't book and just popped in, Naomi managed to find us a table and was a great help with the menu.
