Beanblock in Newark and Sherwood

Fantastic place for toddlers to play and parents to chat. I’ve never known my busy 20 month old be so absorbed in equipment before. It’s easy to keep an eye on your child with clear sight lines while you enjoy a drink and food.

I came here with my 2 year old and 5 year old during the half term. I have been to Beanblock several times before and always been pleased. The staff are always so welcoming and pleased to see you. BeanBlock really stands out as it’s so much more and different to a typical soft play. I paid £5 for entry as I had siblings from the same family which I think is very fair considering you could pay double this for a standard soft play. The sibling discount makes it very appealing. We just had drinks on this occassion but the food always looks delicious.

This was a great place for lunch with younger children with the activity areas. The food menu was nice (pizza, paninis, cakes) although a little overpriced. One of our party ordered gluten free which was an extremely small sandwich, only white bread was available and it was the crust so we assume they didn't have anything left. Shame they didn't admit that and allow change to the order. This was our first visit, we will return now we know options.

Great play cafe, love it here. Nice safe space to have lunch and let the the kids play. Went with a friend who doesn’t have kids as I knew it’s a nice place we can see eachother and actually catch up even with a 1 and 3 year old. Will be back again soon. Thank you x

I stumbled upon Beanbloc and I'm so glad I did. So well set up for a visit with your toddler. Lots of space to put them buggy, friendly welcoming staff and a very well considered menu offering lots of different things for kids, my daughter had the pic and mix lunch which is great as you can select what they are more likely to eat. I enjoyed a panini. Great coffee too. We were able to chat whilst the kids happily played nearby, the space isn't too big so you can easily see the kids, a winner all round! Love this place, will definitely be back 😁

A wonderful venue for families with young children. The food is delicious with a good selection of healthy options for the little ones. My husband and I spent 3 hours there with our daughter and 4 grandchildren- aged from 3 years to 7 mths - and we all had a great time.

Excellent cafe! This place is perfect for families. There is loads to do for the kids, the layout is great so that you can always keep an eye on them. The coffee is excellent and the food is always top notch. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the two owners are amazing.

Great place. Nice coffee, delicious cakes, staff are all very friendly. It feels very safe to let your child play, as the baby area is gated and entrance to the cafe also gated, but you can also see the play area at all times from wherever you sit, so I like this. I can relax knowing the kids are safe. The play area is lovely, clean and well maintained. The baby area has a great selection of baby toys and I love the little swing. There needs to be more places like this where mum’s can enjoy a relaxing coffee whilst the little ones play! I’d highly recommend giving it a visit xx

This cafe is a lifeline to all parents! Great drinks, amazing tasty food and always a warm friendly welcome. The play area is enough to keep your little ones busy whilst you catch up with friends (or just enjoy the break) for a very reasonable price. We will be returning again and again :)

This is an amazing space. I wouldn’t visit Newark half as much as I do if it wasn’t for Beanblock. I know it is a space where I can feel comfortable and take a break whilst by baby plays in the soft play. It truly is an absolute gem and such a wonderful idea. Great food and a godsend for mums/ families.

We had our daughter’s 6th birthday party at BeanBock and it was fabulous. The staff were fantastic, the venue is lovely and even better that you get the whole venue exclusively for the party. We also upgraded to the pizza party which went down great with the children! Overall, the experience from booking to actual party has been great with BeanBlock – thank you for taking all the stress out of party planning!

After visiting Beanblock with my little girl for the first time earlier this year, it soon became my favourite play date location. It is so well thought out, the attention to detail, the food, the toys and the team that run and work there are just wonderful. It really is a breath of fresh air visiting. My daughter loves all the interactive and Montessori toys that they have. As a full time working mum, when I take my little girl to soft play the last thing I want to do is run around a huge soft play - here you can relax, enjoy your child’s company in an inviting and safe environment. My husband and I booked our little girls second birthday here. We had the whole place to ourselves for 2 hours. The price included a lovely continental breakfast for the birthday girl and her friends! Parents, family and friends were able to enjoy a lovely tea or coffee and breakfast whilst enjoying the kids playing. On arrival we were greeted by the most wonderful balloon arch in keeping with our bunny theme. The team has also made homemade cupcakes for the children. They went above and beyond for us and far exceeded our expectations! Thank you for taking the stress out of planning and putting together a childrens party and allowing I to create lovely memories at BeanBlock!

I have been coming here for the past two years for the amazing cake but also for the welcoming atmosphere whether I am on my own with one baby or with both children, with my husband or with a group of friends! Highly recommend it if you have young children!
