Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent gluten free cake, an new extra coffee machine would be a helpful addition, so that more than one cup of coffee can be made at a time.

Do not go here!!! Food sooo disappointing. The most inefficient service, queue was out of the room which made sense as it took FOUR people to take an order, one to take the order one to write the order down, one to make the hot drinks and one to take the order to the kitchen! The "homemade" soup was so bad we sent it back, watery flavourless tepid soup served with a slice of bread ( no crusty roll as advertised). (It was like something they'd serve in a Victotisn workhouse! Burgers clearly a cheap frozen variety. As others have said it used to be a wonderful selection of homemade hot food. It is so disappointing, and if you have to sit in the main room you dont even get the fantastic views. I feel cross with the Nationsl Park for allowing such sub standard service and food in what should be their beautiful centre. If I had a magic wand I would put the cafe upstairs with the views , and sack whoever this miserable cafe is contracted out to.

Very disappointed with the standard of meals. As a previous reviewer has mentioned there used to be a lovely selection of home cooked food. Most of the items on the menu were unavailable so we all chose jacket potatoes which were overcooked with poor tasteless fillings. It would be nice if meals could be made using local produce thereby supporting local businesses. Will not eat here again unless we see from reviews that it has improved. Such a shame ☹

Excellent views of my favourite mountain Outside seating Staff extremely helpful and well mannered/well dressed and very knowledgeable about my dietary needs when I explained,I got food allergies and the young man was very understanding, It’s a bonus for us as we can take our dog in fresh water&biscuits and even ice cream so he was well catered for,,whilst we travel abroad with him he can go into most places but unfortunately in the uk they don’t seem to realise my four legged friend is my family too. My husband had bacon roll and chips whilst my son had a panini which come with a side salad which both were great value for the prices as we expected it too cost a bit more due too the views and also local produce. I had soup of the day which warmed me right through it come with a warm crusty roll again great value for money,,husband loves his coffee and he wasn’t disappointed think we will be calling back for more very soon as been disabled the access was excellent for me and the cafe staff went above and beyond!! Only thing I can advise them is please make the cake portions smaller as it was huge but the best I’ve tasted in a while😀if your thinking of going here and have food allergies don’t be embarrassed like I always was and ask them for advice as their knowledge is outstanding. My dog will definitely want too go back as he had treats and ice cream but also the walk my husband/son took him on he enjoyed whilst i stayed in the warm cafe with my book and a nice warm cuppa.

Would defiantly recommend a visit.Visitors centre was closed unfortunately, however great to get out, relax in fantastic outdoors and revisit this place. Only downside was the weather!!

We have eaten a full meal here before but this visit was just coffee and cakes. As usual the coffee was excellent and the Welshcakes were as usual excellent, moist with that faint hint of warm spice. It was pleasing to see the menu still had good Welsh staples such as Cawl and Faggots together with a varied and eclectic dishes from around the world. The cafe has some of the best views around with outside seating for the warmer days. Staff as usual helpful and friendly.

We visited Beacons View Tearooms with our two Shar Pei dogs. After a walk around the stunning area, we enjoyed some lovely cakes with tea and the dogs enjoyed some doggy ice cream. The view of Pen y Fan from the tearooms is stunning. The staff made a big fuss of the dogs, which they loved and were very accommodating to them, bring out bowls of water etc because it was a very hot day. The main menu had a variety of options which all looked very tasty when we had a look inside.

We visited here after hill walking with Ted our dog. Even though Ted was a little wet when we first arrived the staff were extremely welcoming. Water and treats were provided, as well as dog ice cream available. We enjoyed a drink and a cake, the cake selection looked amazing so choosing one is hard! We didn’t eat but the food looked decent. If you’re looking for a place to stop after exploring then this is the place!

Had an absolutely beautiful day at the Beacons View Tearoom. This place is not only blessed with breathtaking views throughout the National Park, but a dog friendly tearoom to grab a bite to eat and refreshing drink after all that walking. They even did doggy ice-cream which our dog Charlie LOVED! Take the reviews as you like, but our food was really nice and rounded up the trip nicely! We will definitely be visiting here again.

This was unimaginative, poor quality food with nothing fresh or appetising in sight. So disappointing in such a spectacular setting where there’s nothing else on offer if you need sustenance before or after a walk. Catering at its worst and very poor value for money. Take a picnic!

Had a lovely time at Beacon’s view tea room. Staff were friendly and helpful, the place is very dog friendly and the food is delicious. We can rate the scampi, chicken nuggets and tuna and sweetcorn jacket potato. Cakes are also so yum! Lattes are also very delicious. My dog tried the dog friendly ice cream and absolutely loved it! Couldn’t get enough of it! We finished off with a lovely walk over the mountain and came to a lake at the end. Lovely way for my dog to cool down. Definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again soon.

Always had lovely food here, never a complaint. Visited today and things looked different, spotted Just Perfect catering company had taken it over. We thought, must give them benefit of the doubt, that was a big mistake. Quiche base was so hard couldn't cut it, told staff and was given cake and drinks by way of compensation. Whatever was National Park thinking to award the contract to a company that gets so many complaints. Just read trip advisor reviews of the other sites they have taken over. We will not be back.

Myself and my Grandaghter called in here while we were out for a drive one afternoon and it was great. The staff were really helpful while i was struggling with a pram and coffee and a sandwich for the baby. We sat outside eating our picnic and the views were spectacular. The car park is pay and display so this is something to be aware of before you go there. There are elecric points for electric cars . There is also a small park. There are also lots of walks you can go on from the visitors centre. The coffe was great and the babies picnic box was lovely . I would definatley recommend if you are in the area.

We visit here many times over the past few years and it has always been amazing, now it is under new management not so good. They use to have wonderful meals and always looked forwards to trying something new when we visited, not anymore. These days it’s more of your everyday run of the mill café which you can get anywhere!! Think it will be a while before I’m headed here again!!

A very disappointing visit. Having been here many times over the years and had excellent and healthy meals, I was so disappointed to see that it is under different management and has been transformed into a very average café. I was looking forward to a meal but can only describe the menu as stodgy and ordinary. Why not make use of all the wonderful local food which is available in abundance around Brecon? Just one example: there are several excellent bakers producing quality home-made bread locally, but the (mostly white and no wholemeal) bread used for the sandwiches was out of a mass-produced plastic wrapper. There were very few fresh vegetables on view and a general air of ordinariness. A fabulous opportunity to have a flagship café for the Brecon Beacons National Park wasted.

We arrived at a Sunday lunch time but only wanted a cuppa and a cake. We arrived just before a huge group of people did. Due to where the coffee machine is situated the huge queue took ages to clear. Those wanting no hot drinks could easily bypass the 'station' and provide a more efficient service. The food looks and tastes great. Disappointing that they don't serve custard to compliment the tarts and puddings.

The nicest chicken, ham and leek pie I've tasted. The food was delicious, all our party agreed. A good choice of food, from light bites to bigger warm feeds. The play area for the children was great too, especially as a break on our journey home. The setting is lovely but a bit cold to explore today. A little look in the gift shop was good though, lots of great locally and hand made products too. We will return on our future journeys through Wales. Staff were lovely and helpful too.

After a long winding drive we found this idyllic spot. Excellent food, plenty of choice particularly for a teenager.... Large carpark with overflow and only 2 pounds fee for a lengthy stay. I went here on Saturday afternoon with my daughter and 10 month old grandson. We thought it would be nice to have a late lunch and use the play area. It was 2.45 so we were not surprised that there was not much choice of food on offer however we were very disappointed in the quality of it. I had the lasagne which was ok, a bit dry but manageable. My daughter had chicken in bbq sauce with new potatoes and red cabbage. She was unable to eat it all as the chicken was dry and too chewy at the edges and the new potatoes didn’t even look appetising and certainly didn’t taste very nice.

Stopped for tea and a snack. Busy. Trouble is we queued for 45 minutes for our tea! Very very slow service. Dont think coffee machine was working as it didn't make any noise even when heating milk? Once we were served all free tables were covered with used cups etc and not cleared away the whole time we drank our tea and ate our cakes after clearing our own table first. Very poor service. We won't be going back sadly as it wasn't a pleasant experience for us.

Took aged P's here. Although they have lived in Wales for almost 40 years they had never visited. Good weather meant a quick walk around the centre and visit to the shop. But it was lunch we had been targeting. All 4 of us went for the faggots, peas and mash with lashings of gravy. They were the richest and tastiest we had ever had. Lovely tea and coffees and managed a Bara Brith and Welsh cake on arrival. Enjoyed the day out

We stopped here to break up a long journey. Straight away it seemed very unwelcoming. My son is autistic, and because he seemed more comfortable in the corner section we asked to move tables. We were advised that was the dog friendly section, and obviously we would move if needed, it was quiet at the time, but this seem like an inconvenience to move tables. Then when my son was wandering in the pub, this seemed to annoy a couple of guests, and I know he seemed hyperactive but these are some of his autistic traits, this seemed to annoy one couple in particular, where the man was making very rude comments ( I know you have no control over who comes into your pub) but overall it just felt very unwelcoming in there. Are kids not allowed in here? It didn't seem like it. We come past this pub often, so we will not be stopping here again.

Travelled from south wales on our only child free weekend to recieve a terrible service! Arrived at 3:30 and the hot tub was freezing cold from the moment we got there! Tried to blame us for taking the lid off that it wasnt warm! Bed was unmade with no bottom sheet. Did not recieve an email with terms and conditions about bbq’s on the grass which id say having signs for people to see no bbq’s on the grass would be more obvious! Tried to fine us 100£ for the grass and 200£ for leaves being in the hot tub when i dont understand how you can avoid that if your in the hot tub most of the day/night with trees surrounding your pod! Just another excuse! We didn’t get the chance to use the hot tub! Filled us with excuses from the moment we got there promised the hot tub would be warm by 9 and then it went to theyll empty and refill with warm water instead, but that didnt happen! Also ignored any repsonsibility to answer our questions on when the hot tub would be useable! Could have saved ourselves £120 and stayed at home in our garden! Our third stay there and thats our thanks! Would not recommend or return!
