We were very well looked after. Genuine, friendly baristas. The coffee is smooth. A good place to introduce your friend to what a good coffee can taste like.👌🏻😋

Really poor quality food. The avocado bagel was inedible. The breakfast tasted really greasy with poor quality ingredients. The table I was sat on was about to fall over (legs totally snapped, balanced together) which I told the staff, who ignored me so I tried my best to push it against a wall to stay up. I caught the staff muttering under their breath at someone who ‘only wanted a coffee’.. I paid & left to notice a sneaky £5 service charge added to the bill! Really poor!

If you’re looking for a great view to sit and enjoy a drink, then this place is ideal. Skip the food though, ingredients are really poor quality. Also do not agree with the ‘optional service charge’, there is no option, it’s added to the bill at the end and will go unnoticed unless you analyse your receipt. From what we saw the service isn’t good enough to justify the extra charge. There’s much better places to eat in St Ives, pay a little more and you’ll get much better.

Absolute waste of time. Sat at a table for 10 minutes with no service. Went up to the bar to order and was told it's table service only. Waited another 10 minutes with again no service. I will take my business elsewhere.

A lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. We were made very welcome on arrival and our dog was fussed over. We had cheese and ham bagels, cream scones, mimosas and rattler cider. Everything was perfect. Very reasonable prices, we will be back

We stopped for coffee and sat outside. The staff are efficient. They have a nice spot with views of the harbour and it’s a sun trap. Popped in again for drinks in the evening. They also have a selection of wine to purchase. Spacious inside and out.

I really disagree with the "optional" 10% service charge that snuck onto the receipt. In these days of contactless payment, and the general culture, nobody wants to put their hand up to confront this. We paid for three breakfasts and drinks for our family, and having supported this cafe with repeat business, the service charge left a bad taste in my mouth. Service was slow too.

On my own. Stopped for a glass of wine. Lovely staff, good recommendation for which wine I might enjoy. Great prices and good views.

This cafe overlooking the harbour is an absolute gem. The coffee and the cakes are innovative and fab! But what sets it apart is the team. We went there 3 times during our stay and everytime the staff were engaging, interested and just lovely. (Sadly in contrast to some other establishments we tried). A very busy coffee shop but always took time for pleasantries. They were the reason it was our cafe of choice. Thanks you ladies, you are a credit to the business, you made our coffee mornings an absolute joy! (We were the couple who always chose to sit at the front table for 2 - Paul reading Tim Peake and my beautiful partner Susan).

Quite slow service. My poached eggs tasted of vinegar. Food wasn’t presented very well and I had to get up to go and ask for a knife and fork. Coffee was nice. They add a 10% service charge to the bill that I only noticed later when I looked at my receipt. However, the receipt also gives you 10% off in their takeaway, so my son used this for his burger.

Had a breakfast here this morning it was terrible, after waiting for 5 mins out comes a breakfast which was stone cold and very small portion and very expensive I do not recommend this place

The beach cafe was the place to go in St Ives! Sadly this has changed. Multiple times I have had to go and ask to order when there are hardly any other customers. I was served raw bacon on my bagel and after ordering an oat milk latte was given regular milk. Its the small details that are now being missed. The view is 10/10 as long as vans don't stop infront.

Dirty place, dirty glasses, poor slow services.

Really bad service - you have to wait a long time just to get served. They tell you it is table service - waited 10 minutes to get served - when ordering everything one when of the people couldn’t remember what cake he wanted and asked if he could show the waitress - she rolled her eyes! We eventually get out coffee and cakes ….. then one person wanted another piece of cake … went to the counter with her empty plate and asked for another piece of cake …. She was told that it would be brought round to her …. Ten minutes later still no cake … asked a waitress who was serving another customer about her cake … she said the girl must of forgotten about it as she is only human ….. no apology …. Always the same statement the girl is busy …… she is only human…. We said why couldn’t she have just given it to the person when she went back to ask for one … again sh must of forgotten to add it to the order … waitress answer was … I’m going to end this conversation …… everyone was polite to her ….. she walked away carried on serving other people and we never got the cake. If this was my business and I had staff like this they would no longer be working for me. The staff need more training on how to deal with problems especially when they are in the wrong. Very annoying end to a lovely holiday .

Great place for a cream tea - great service, honest prices and great atmosphere!

Brilliant place, right beside the Harbour. Always friendly and efficient staff. We only have our brunch here whenever we come to St Ives. Tasty bagels, generous fillings and beautifully made coffee. You can even get beer/cocktails with brunch. Wonderful views and even the seagulls stay away!

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast bagel and coffee here after a bit of a heavy night before. Staff were lovely as is the view; felt very relaxed sat outside in the sun looking over the sea.

All I can say about this place is, wow, the food was perfect. The coffee was amazing. The service was on point with checking things were OK and food was good, never felt they forgot about us but also never felt like they were waiting for us to leave. If in st Ives a must to visit.

Pop in for coffee after a lovely walk around St Ives. Sat outside and enjoyed the view across the harbour. Coffee was good. The service was excellent from the friendly and chatty waitress. She was the "Costa Rican from London" as she put it, not any of the other staff from the other less favourable reviews.

Don’t bother going there if you need to drink decaf coffee. They have not had any decaf for the past week. There is a coffee shop next door that sells big bags of coffee It is a shame the employees were not able to pop next door s d buy sone bags of their amazing coffee

Just visited this cafe today. We managed to get a lovely seat by the door with a wonderful view. We ordered our first drinks without any issue then asked for another. The waitress dismissed us as if we were something on her shoe. Never again will we visit this cafe. Very disappointed and annoyed. Please note, it was not the blonde lady behind the bar or the older lady out of the three. It was the other lady, we witnessed her being rude to us and other people in the cafe.

Lovely place, only had coffee and cake but both were really nice.

This is in a great position with lovely views. The coffee was also delicious. But my lemon and sugar pancake was terrible, incredibly dry as all it was served with was two slices of lemon - barely even a quarter teaspoon. Such a simple thing to get wrong. My partner had a build a bagel which was fine but bagel wasn’t toasted. The service was also very slow with staff trying to clear away our table before we had fully finished the coffees. A disappointing experience

£2.50 for one egg on a sausage nap, shocked.

This used to be an amazing wine bar with a huge selection of wines available but it appears to have either changed owners or just changed the concept. Now a small wine selection and cocktails. Food is available here now too which we haven’t tried yet so can’t review. Service was quick but not anything outstanding- used to have some really chatty staff with lots of knowledge on wine!

Visited today for a tea and waffles. At first the service seemed pleasant, but it soon became apparent that the staff have no compassion for their customers. Two couples wanted to share a family table, and split the bill between them. However the two young staff members dealing with both couples, refused to serve one of the couples whilst sat at that table, and insisted that they had to move. The couple decided to leave instead of ordering, as did another couple that had just turned up. We, too, would have left if we hadn't already been served. Thet lost 4 customers straight away and didn't bat an eyelid, and didn't show any compassion and came across rude. Might I add that these were both elderly couples. My wife and I were disgusted by the way the staff handled this situation and will not be returning. To add, the food was below standard, and the staff need to do some work on customer relations.

We had a lovely evening sat outside, enjoyed a superb pizza in a lovely setting overlooking the harbour. Excellent service and friendly staff.. They even do a 'any pizza and any cocktail' (from the menu) deal for £15 which was a real no brainer! Just watch out for those seagulls though!!

Just returned from 2 x weeks in St Ives the BCB is high on our list of recommendations. Popping in for a coffee, start of a pub crawl, pizza & cocktails. People watching and a drink after a day on the beach. Just perfect and the views, lovely.

Walked in here last week and it was the ideal place to have a drink on a rainy afternoon. The menu is affordable and the staff are warm and welcoming.

Came here, sorry, tried to come here last night (30/06/23) wasn’t busy so thought it would be good time to sit with kids for a drink. My wife went in to ask if they did moctails for our kids & the young lad who was working said “we usually do them but as I’m busy I won’t spend time looking for the ingredients” It wasn’t busy as there was plenty of tables to choose from. His attitude stunk so we went elsewhere. Customer service required for this young worker as he’ll be in for a shock come summer when it actually gets busy. Won’t return

Popped in for a late breakfast. Vet could have saved the sausage and bacon. Mediocre food, coke full of ice so needed a 2nd drink. Over priced. The table service fee was a nasty sting in the tale. Normally happy to tip when out for a meal but not this time. Just aswell.

Great place. The staff just could not do enough for us, two elderly and one disabled in our party, food and drink worth stopping for. We'll be recommending this cafe.

Great coffee, unfortunately the bagels wher presented very poorly, I feel this needs attention, as the location is prime and Warren's an equally splendid culinary experience. I chose the salmon and cream cheese bagle, and let's say that a little slice of lemon and a sprig of rocket with black cracked pepper, sea salt and a splash of olive oil, could make all the difference, and wouldn't break the bank, rather than what I received, which looked rushed, and was simply squashed together and thrown on the plate. Was dissapointed as 3 bagels and 3 coffees cost £43 😱😱😱

Having a laugh completely ignored when sat down .. just managed to order two drinks with a huff & puff from the I'm thinking manageress?? Had asked about food order ,obviously big mistake as she never asked what we would have liked.. never came back after half an hour although walked pass us a few times .. hmmm going back ... Na I don't think so.. so rude & unprofessional.... much better places in St Ives with smiles too .

If you are looking for the best customer service st ives can offer then look no further. We only popped in for drinks but they are absolutely lovely, definitely a refreshing change from some of the other establishments we visited on the area - well done keep us the brilliant work

Great views and nice cider But they have pathetic funny rules, if you just want a drink and share a table they won't serve you !!!! They charge by the table, and won't let you pay at the bar for a drink. So after an 11 mile walk along the coast this wasn't the ending we wanted. The evening staff are great btw and the food

Visited here with two kids hoping for a quick snack before we went on a boat ride. We were seated quite fast, but then ignored for nearly 15 ministers, had to go upto the bar to be rudely told he will be with us shortly…… 5 minutes later. Food arrived very fast and you can’t critics the food, it was nice, despite them missing off an entire meal! Also they add an “optional” service charge of 10%. It’s not optional. And I don’t mind tipping, but the service was poor! Overall, service 1/5, food 4/5. There’s plenty of places to eat in St Ives, and for the price you’d be better skipping this one

August 2022. Looked nice as we approached and was told we could sit inside as it was very hot. At this time we was told its table service only which didn't exist. Waitress rude and almost ignored us as we asked to order and we waited 15 mins so we naturally left and found a lovely little place up the road called olives café!! This place should learn from the best

Lovely place to go for breakfast or a light meal. Sit inside or out. We sat outside just across the road from the beach ⛱. A bit pricey but on par for the area. Good freshly cooked food and a good selection of soft or alcoholic drinks.

Came here almost everyday on my 2 weeks holiday. Great views and seating outside with shade looking over harbour and beach. Service great Drinks always tasty and great prices! 5* all round!

Unusually for St. Ives this place doesn't serve food which means you can grab a good range of drinks, relaxing and enjoy, without feeling you should be giving your table up to those waiting for food.

Blone tall lady is extremely lovely, with pozitive attitude and very professional! And the food is really tasty and healthy!

Location, location, location! Situated on The Wharf, this cafe bar is yards from the harbour with magnificent views across the bay. Serves a good selection of hot and cold drinks, including beer, wine and cocktails, and a wide variety of breakfast treats including bagels, pancakes and waffles.

Very busy when we arrived at lunchtime, we hadn’t booked but were lucky to get a table for three. Service was friendly and efficient, the food - battered cod and chips & pan fried Sea bass with salad - was lovely. This is another place in St Ives that I would recommend you visit.

Good spot to have a drink and bite to eat, good and drinks were good. Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend going too.

Ten per cent service charge for buying one round of drinks - cost £4.82 in a tip just to have a drink, and whilst an optional charge I gave them £50 for five standard drinks, she came back and asked for the 82pence, so I said take the fifty quid and call it quits or cancel your £4.82 service charge ? Very rude and would never recommend or go back, and needless to say we didn’t stop for another round !!! Gin and tonic a pint two cocktails and a pimms £50 ? And not pleasant staff didn’t even clean or properly clear the table before we sat down and then demand a service charge

Nice because of the decent sized al fresco space where you can people watch if that's your thing. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The menu is well balanced and affordable. Gotta recommend the eggs benedict of you're having breakfast, else swing by for a great dalgona on a hot day.
