Fantastic burger restaurant!! The burger is beautifully put together and cooked very well ( juicy not over cooked ) the price point I'd good for the quality of food - service is good - attentive but not overly so, they are young but have obviously been trained well .. I don't often give 5* reviews but this little gem of a place deserves it !!

Good food, not a long wait. Although I almost didn't fit in the door, but otherwise TOP. The interior is nice and the staff perfect.

I ordered my food. Was about 25 minutes late which wasn’t too bad for a Friday night. It was possibly the greatest burger ever eaten, two patties, pulled pork and added bacon with cheese lettuce and tomatoes makes the best burger I’ve ever had. HOWEVER the fries were horrendous, “cheese dirty fries” there was no cheese (not even a small amount, literally none) and it was just a small amount of barbecue sauce dropped on fries. Nonetheless the burger was so incredible that I will definitely order from here agin.

Great little place, friendly staff that are attentive but not in your face.. the burger is amazing, juicy and full of flavour.

Amazing delivery, came on time. milkshakes and pulled pork fries are brilliant. Not so much the halloumi fries but absolutely brilliant

My favourite place to go amazing food everytime, fantastic staff. I'd recommend the JD burger, the Big Richie or the dirty dill to be honest you won't be disappointed with anything off the menu

Small restaurant with wide range of burgers and flexible approach to ordering. Almost everything available Gluten-free if needed. Amazing ice-cream sundaes.

The lively music and rustic aesthetic made for such a fun atmosphere. I had the 'Dirty Dill' burger, it was perfectly filling and really hit the spot, shout out to the chefs for their quality food. Service was brill too very welcoming and came to check everything was alrite. Defiantly coming back.

I recently visited this establishment, having heard positive things about their diverse menu options. As someone with a gluten intolerance, I was reassured by the staff's initial understanding and was keen to try what I believed would be a safe dining experience. Unfortunately, the reality was far from what I had expected. Despite my explicit request for a gluten-free meal and the staff's assurances, I was disheartened to find that my dish was contaminated with gluten. This not only displayed a lack of care and attention but also posed a serious risk to my health. Upon discovering the issue, I immediately alerted the staff and management, I am expecting a swift and appropriate response but nothing yet . Given the potential health implications of such oversights, I feel it is essential for future patrons, especially those with specific dietary requirements, to be aware of my experience. While I appreciate that mistakes can happen, it is the responsibility of any reputable dining establishment to uphold food safety standards and respond adequately to such incidents. Regrettably, this experience has left me sick and with a sense of disappointment and concern, and I urge the restaurant to review their practices to ensure the wellbeing of all customers. As it stands, I am hesitant to recommend this restaurant to others, particularly those with dietary restrictions or allergies, until significant improvements are made in their food handling and customer service

This is an awesome place to go for a perfect "Scooby Snack" burger. Really very very tasty and staff are really keen to ensure you have the best burger possible. Oh, and not pretentiously overpriced either. Thanks BDW. (Hint: eat burgers upside down so they don't fall apart.)

Fantastic burger place. Best burgers I’ve had in wells. American themed establishment with some good old American background music. Light atmosphere. Between us the burger, wings, loaded fried and Shakes were top tier.

My husband and I were so grateful that BDW was open and able to feed us at 4pm yesterday! . Dill was so friendly and welcoming. Food came very quickly and it was absolutely delicious. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a very very long time. Thank you. Wish we lived closer because I would happily come back. Recommended you to lots of locals last night. Good luck. Not bad at all! Too much of the herbs on fries ... but burger (veggie with bacon)was delicious. Dessert - ice cream with mint Aero - was yummy! Will definitely return...35 pounds a head Inc a couple of beers, service and a rum shot 👌 😁

Great new find in Sadlers Street, Wells. Popped in for a lunch time burger and had a great meal. Several sizeable meaty burgers to choose from, 1 chicken and a couple of veggie options. We had the fries and coleslaw as sides and they were delicious! A nice 'bistro' style atmosphere (they serve a selection of beer, cider & wine) and great service. Our food was ready fairly quickly and was piping hot. If you love a real burger with an assortment of toppings and sauces, this is the place for you!

In Wells for the first time today. Called into BDW's and had a warm welcome. Place was spotless and really nicely designed. We aren't burger people but ordered the standard and my wife the vegetarian. Really, top quality , no dripping fat, just 100% beef. The French fries were spot in with a rosemary dusting. Spoke to owner Richard, who should be rightly proud of what he has achieved. If you haven't been, the best advice is to pop in and enjoy!

I really wanted to like this place. The owner was really friendly and went to a lot of effort to give us a good table. The decor makes you feel like you're in a proper American burger joint (having lived in the States I'm very familiar with the concept!) but unfortunately that's where the similarities end. The food just doesn't have any flavour. The mac n cheese was more like soup and wasn't any better than what you'd get from a can. The chicken wings were tough and didn't taste of anything. The "burnt ends" on the dirty fries didn't have any smoky flavour or any real seasoning, they were just dry lumps of beef. The burger itself was OK but the pickles were the only thing that gave it any flavour at all. As is so often the case in the UK, the menu lists the things you'd expect to see in this type of restaurant, but the ingredients and cooking techniques are a world away from authentic bbq. If you've never had the real version I guess you'd probably think it's fine

Very clean and cozy looking bar and grill restaurant. The gentleman who served me was excellent and helped me in every way so service was five star. Food was good also and the sauce on the chicken wings was delicious. I would recommend eating here and would visit again if I was in the area.

Visited with friends earlier in the week. Food was delicious and fast at arriving. The staff were extremely and we even got a hello from the chef. Definitely be returning! -paige and jay

Fantastic food, and impeccable service. You do have to check these guys out, especially because the sausages are custom made by a local butcher and all the smoked meat is done on the premises! Fantastic tasty work. (the only reason for a 4 star on the atmosphere was because the place is very well lit and I prefer a dimmer atmosphere.. yes thats really a barrel scrape of a reason).

Everything we ate was delicious and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend the burger with pulled pork, the loaded fries and the Caribbean chicken wings. Just a shame we didn't have room for dessert. Thanks very much for a fantastic meal.

Amazing food, possibly the best burgers in Wells atm. Lovely staff. Diner theme could be expanded on to give the restaurant more of a full identity. Some diner style drinks would be cool, coke floats, milkshakes, alcoholic versions?

Recently had a birthday meal at this joint, safe to say everyone enjoyed there meal, super tasty food, attentive staff, I’m sure will visit again in the not to distant future.

These guys are on it, attentive service from the moment we arrived, until we left. Fourteen of us had a brilliant night out, if only other establishments could learn from here. The food was plentiful, tasty, and well presented. Fair choice of drinks, and the best cheesecake I've had for years. Have just booked to go back again this weekend and try something else from the menu.

It was my birthday and this was a treat from my wife, I had heard about BDW and having been to a huge array of burger grills I needed to find out myself. I am so pleased I did, snug little setting for a perfect lunch, the patty’s are cooked through to perfection with distinctive flavour and amazing quality beef! The bbq sauce is divine and tangy, so perfect and complimented the pulled pork brilliantly. Fresh bun that held itself to the very end with no sogginess! Truly mastered by the staff in the kitchen. The pulled pork dirty fries were immense! The fresh herbs and gooey melted cheese just topped these gems to the very end. If you like good quality, wholesome, tasty filling food! Get booking! The BDW Bar & Grill crew hosted us for our End of Season presentation on Thursday 22nd September. Food was as awesome as ever (and we really did sample most of the menu!), staff were attentive who made sure everything was perfect, and a venue that was perfect for our needs. We deliberately wanted a laid back effortless vibe and BDW delivered!! Lots of our group hadn’t been to BDW and would be returning for sure - the kids menu being a great addition with many saying they just HAVE to bring down their kids as a next treat. Personally I’ll be back for a sundae which looked amazing! 5* all round!!

Me and my friend are self titled burger, dirty fries and chicken wing connoisseur's. We went for the first time yesterday and it is amongst (if not) the best we've had! The young servers were fantastic too! Will have to fight the urge to want to go every day!

Great food and great service Friendly atmosphere in the centre of Wells

Went with Friends and Family on Friday 6th August. Service was fantastic, very attentive and couldn't do enough for you. Nice menu, not a huge menu with a million choices, but it all sounded so nice I still got stuck for choice. Food was served quickly, and tasted fantastic, desserts were also fab. Highly recommended, will definitely be back as I want to make my way through the menu. Cost didn't make a dent in my wallet either. Nice to have something different in Wells.

You have to try the chicken nuggets and the burgers are the best around. If that’s not enough then the puddings will fill you up

You must dine here!! Me and my partner went last night for my birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed our whole experience. The setting is trendy urban and relaxed. The service was 10/10 with very friendly and attentive staff. Richard managed to find us a table, despite there being a booking of 22 people in just before us. The food was absolutely scrumdiddlyumptious. I had the dirty dill, fries and the curly wurly sundae (icing on the cake). I can’t fault anything about the whole experience. My new favourite restaurant in town! I’ll be back!!
