Yesterday, visited this little coffee shop, the friendliness, cleaness and quality of life and muffins just wow me. Many thanks to all your team, especially to Tatjana, who made me feel so welcome by checking back on my experience and took her time to talk with me, it is so unique for a such a small cofee place. The bottom line this little cafe made by day and put the massive smile on my face

This is not somewhere we usually stop at for a cuppa due to the lack of atmosphere & privacy - but we were gasping for a drink , and as we were shopping within the centre it made sense. Seemed to be a nice variety of tempting snacks on display & I chose a cinnamon & apple crumble muffin & a blue flower Earl Grey to wash it down. Well - hands down the muffin was a revelation. It was light & moist with large chunks of apple & it literally really did just melt in my mouth. Definitely nicer than any I'd had in similar eateries. The tables were tidy, the staff were friendly & helpful - just a pity it's in a bit of a noisy hub, but don't let that put you off.

I don't usually go to chain cafes but I needed a hot drink & a snack so I thought I would try here. The service was good, cheery and helpful. the drinks were wonderfully hot and the blueberry muffin was just right. It is wheelchair friendly. Recommended.

We were looking for a quick stop & this was perfect. The staff were helpful, there was plenty of seating & our drinks were hot. The muffin was excellent as well.

Visited Dundee today and stumbled across this coffee store. Very nice coffee but most importantly very friendly, warm staff with happy smiles. Very clean and tidy. Will definitely call back in next time in Dundee.

I had a coffee ad toastie priced £4.75 last week. The coffee was very good and the cheese and ham toastie was adequate but felt it was a bit tasteless. The unfortunate thing about this cafe is you are at the foot of a busy escalator in a shopping centre and feel a bit stared at

I am not often in the Wellgate Centre, Dundee but when I am bb's is always on my agenda, clean, well laid out, happy staff and then the coffee and choice of muffins is tops. If you are not a muffin fan (really?) there are other delights plus other drinks.

Visited with husband and 2 grown up children before a show. The menu is quite compact but we all managed to choose different dishes so we could try everyone's! We had crostini, fishcakes and blaggis to start. All perfectly pleasant. The crostini in particular was popular. Our mains again were lovely although I found the pork a little dry and uninspiring, the mash could have been creamier. The star of the show was the onion rings we ordered on the side - these are delicious. We didn't have time for pudding so asked for the bill. This took a while to come. When it did arrive, we noticed one of the bottles of wine hadn't been added. We pointed this out and it was taken away to be amended. We again waited a LONG time, the kids went upstairs to the bar and a server eventually returned the same bill saying they couldn't fix it and just to add the price of the wine on it! I didn't find this very professional and was actually a bit uncomfortable as I tried to work out how much we owed whilst also trying to sort out a tip! It really spoiled the end of what had been quite a nice meal. To sum up, probably wouldn't visit again The food is fine, the environment pleasant and handy obviously for the theatre! However, whilst nice enough, I found the servers to be a bit unsure and not terribly skilled in the execution of their job.

Unfortunately the once excellent chilli burger from the characteristic pheonix bar let us down after years of being the best in dundee (in my opinion). The Chilli was warm, not hot as expected (not warm enough to even melt the cheese on top). Historicly the burger was never the best but simply an accompaniment for the tasty chilli, the new Scotts burgers are hard compacted with no taste or char to indicate a cooked fresh feel, more a pre cooked and just reheated on demand afair. The "fall apart" softie rolls used would be better swapped to a toasted brioche bun. Fortunately i opted not to eat the burger but 2 of us were still ill. A shame as the chilli was a "go to" for us on any day out.
