Stopped for a light lunch and was greeted by quite an unfriendly lady at the counter. The soup was veg but was mostly barley with the odd carrot, (I like barley but not the amount that’s in this) The girl who brought the lunch out was very friendly but I wouldn’t really be in a rush to go back.

Bacon, Brie and cranberry on granary toastie was delicious. Same verdict of chicken salad sandwich, whole coleslaw “best I’ve tasted anywhere”. Quick service, fresh garnish and friendly staff. Seating outside or in and easy access loo. No steps to navigate- perfect for an elder with mobility issues.

I came here for lunch with my family. The cafe has a good range on its menu and the food was very tasty. The place was clean and tidy and the staff were all very helpful.

Both our cappuccinos were so hot that it burned my tongue, and no foam whatsoever. Also lack of customer service!

Even in winter the door is left open in the morning resulting in the coffee shop being cold. Not great for trying to read a paper due to staff chatting loudly to customers - coffee shop is small and conversation can be heard everywhere within it.

Called in a few times during our four days in the area and each time the food and service was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and the café is in a great location right in the village but only a short walk from the beach.

This coffee house is in a great location, 5 minutes walk from Ballyholme Beach and in the centre of Ballyholme Village where you can do some retail therapy. Very friendly staff and super fresh produce!

Conveniently located at Ballyholme beach and village. Comfortable seating: cozy but not too crowded as some cafes can be. Excellent service - very fast delivery of coffee and warmed treats. Standard prices for Bangor and Ards coast. 3 staff on duty which is excellent. This meant no waiting for staff to be on hand to serve you. Cards accepted. I will go here rather than Bangor town centre for my coffees in the future.

This is always a busy coffee shop, the staff are friendly and attentive, food is delicious and good value. My children love their milkshakes and tray bakes. I enjoy their flavoured teas and carrot cake.

I've only ever had a snack in this shop but it rates highly in my estimation. Staff are friendly and efficient - they get it right first time and are quick to clear tables. There's a good variety on the menu and the number of regulars bears good testimony to the all-round quality of this comfortable eaterie.

A grand wee place but probably not for the young and trendy. It might be described as 'a safe pair of hands' with very pleasant staff a solid if unspectacular menu and well cooked, tasty food. I guess it's pet friendly, at least in the covered outdoor seating.

My friend and I were here today for lunch. Service was fantastic, quick and prompt. Our waiter was pleasant and even moved us to a window seat when it become available. Thank you:-) I had the smoked Haddock as pictures show, my friend had mini mixed grill, he said it was delicious. We shared a desert of toffee sponge- it was ok. We both had coffee to finish- mine was baileys coffee, very good! Can’t wait to come again. Thank you :-)

I enjoyed a wonderful meal in Coq and Bull in January. I was out for an overdue catch-up with a friend and this restaurant was the perfect place to have it. From the outset, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a relaxing evening. My friend had mentioned on the booking form that I have a garlic intolerance, and I was most impressed when a member of the waiting staff came over with an amended menu for me. He took the time to go through the many options that were still available to me and explained, moreover, that the chef could make alternative sauces for specific dishes. We enjoyed two delicious - and generous! - bread boards to start, followed by the ham hock and burger, respectively, and finished with the irish cream liqueur tiramisu. The staff were attentive and friendly, and did not hurry us to leave when we had finished eating but, rather, allowed us to linger over our last drinks and finish our catch-up, which we really appreciated. I had such a fabulous meal that I have decided to book to go back for my wedding anniversary in February.

This was my first time in Joxter. So sorry I didnt go b4 as food was excellent. Service was very good also. Music just a little loud if you wanted to talk. It's one of my pet hates having to talk over music. If it wasn't closing I wld definitely come back.

Delicious food served in a relaxed atmosphere. I had sea bass, it was cooked to perfection served with tasty spinach potato cake and green veg. My wife had Chicken Maryland with baby potatoes. Both meals were first class. Thank you Coast.
