Keep trying this Indian. Used to be so good. No longer. Some staff abrupt and rude, some lovely. Curries so watered down, little taste. Won’t try here again

Chicken was very dry and the tikka masala had a funny flavour. Mushroom rice was nice, wouldn’t use again

Such a shame but this place has really gone downhill recently. Has been my go to Indian takeaway since I moved here over 10 years ago and I have repeatedly reviewed 5 stars in years gone by. I’m not sure what has happened but the food is not the same, different chefs/different suppliers possibly? For instance, the madras sauce used to be amazing, it’s now got no depth of flavour at all. Chips were tasty skinny fries that were lush for sauce dipping, now awful cardboard tasting chunky chips that are not crispy but hard, worse than basic bargain supermarket oven chips and have just gone in the bin. Have tried a few orders spanning a few months before posting a bad review, but I think I’m done ordering from here now as it’s become a pattern. On top of disappointing food, they got rid of their loyalty scheme as well as putting prices up.

Fantastic food , great quality, fresh , hot and tasty

Very tasty curries, could sometimes be a little bit hotter but mindful of the distance we live from here. Never any issues and our regular place to order Indian Takeout from.

the lamb in the curry was tough and inedible, although the curry tasted nice. onion bhajis were a bit oily and had too much flour in them.

wrong order sent. i ordered butter chicken. i got korma. i dont like korma.

ordered very early before they even opened to give plenty of time, food arrived luke warm and took 1hr 45 to be delivered from time of order.

The food is really nice with great flavours, we had the chicken tika masala and it didn't disappoint and the onion bhaji is also lush! The food came pipping hot which is just how you'd want it to come. The delivery was also spot on and they are always friendly and polite. Can't give any stars for the atmosphere because we get a delivery but I'm sure it's just as good as their delivery service.

Food always great, comes very quickly, fresh and hot - highly recommend the lamb madras mixed with some pilau rice and an onion salad, spicy but very very good!

We’ve been ordering from Bay Leaves regularly for the past couple of years and never been disappointed. The food is as authentic as you can get in around here. It is always delivered on time if not before and always hot and freshly cooked.

We took a takeaway from bay leaves and the masala and rice was stone cold. When we received it it had to be put straight into the microwave. We called and was offered a replacement meal never time only to claim this today and was told that it wasn’t cold and could only have one or the other. I’ve never had a problem with bay leaves before and I never will again as after this bad experience and bad attitude in customer service, I’d rather spend my money elsewhere.

Always brought from this Indian with no issue . Last meal we had was freezing cold . Had to reheat befor we could eat . Phones up got told they would replace our meal . Called up and they refused said we could either have a curry or the rice but refused a to replace all . I advice if you get from here and it’s cold take it back as they was calling me. A liar .

Always a lovely meal, and delivered in good time, usually earlier. Not many Indian takeaways have such a big choice of Paneer options on the menu. I've never been disappointed.

Ive been using this curry house for awhile, i have tried a few in Gosport and this is defintley up there for one of the best for taste! Delivery is always quick and food turns up pipping hot! For anyone looking for a good takeaway curry in Gosport this is the place!

I tried something different, but wouldn`t want it again. But, this Indian restaurant to me is my favourite. It`s only because i`m not keen on sausages & Chicken leg. I thought all the meat you got would be cooked on skewers. not really a lamb over either lol. But the chicken breast was nice. The curry sauce didn`t taste like curry sauce either, it was very watery. Never had it like that before. Thank you

Food piping hot and delicious. Menu was great and staff offered suggestions. There was an issue where Bhaji were left behind, but the restaurant sorted it without fuss... And the Bhajis were amazing. A restaurant can only be judged by how they deal with issues.... They dealt with it perfectly. Will only order from here going forward.

whilst waiting for my order, 2 of the chef's were vaping in the kitchen whilst cooking! no hygiene rating either! one of their drivers was sat out side shouting and swearing about having to deliver! horrible man! Barry i believe his name was!

Always enjoyed food from here however today we ordered onion bhajis and got chips instead .very disappointed

Popadoms were fine , but onion salad that came with it had mushy tomato’s which put me off. Everything arrived cold and vegetable curry was just watery. Naan bread was okay and the best bit of the meal was the onion bajjis. Disappointed

All components of meal were cold and the chips felt like they had been reheated and then sent out.Naan was stone cold. We are not far from the shop so would expect it to be warmer

Food was delivered, but we were handed the wrong order, thought the restaurant messed, but looked at the ticket and completely wrong address. Phoned the restaurant and they said they would phone the driver to return to us. The driver eventually arrived back, 15 minutes later, and we exchanged the orders, he didn't really apologise. The food at that point was cold and missing items, the food tasted good but not impressed with the whole mix up.

Ordered many times and food had always been great. However sometimes drivers struggle to find house and when speaking to the lady on the phone at the restaurant she was super rude and condescending that the driver couldn't find our house. Very poor attitude to customers

Terrible customer service. Obviously just your money they want, not returning customers. Just ordered for collection having spent just over £40. Ordered two chicken tikka ‘mains’. Ordered this loads of times before from here. Spoke with lady I’ve never spoken to before when ordering. Got it home and tika was a ‘dry dish’, not what we wanted and thought not what was ordered. Rang them back and explained it wasn’t right. Absolutely refused to correct it, said it was explained and repeated back to me over the phone. Told me I’d got it wrong. I didnt even know there was a ‘dry’ tika dish. Over past few years at average £40 per order they’ve easily had £400 off me. They have just charged me another £15 for two chicken tikka masala - not even any thought of a fairly regular customer - let’s do a good will gesture. No more orders from me. No way to run a customer focused business. Plenty more take aways out there I’ll spend my hard earned money with.

Delicious food as always, we simply don't try anyone else...20 years+ Set meal 'E' for 2, set, always ample.

Arrived late, order was incomplete and bits were cold. Called restaurant and they kindly said the next delivery driver would come out with the missing items. It was another hour and 10 minutes before this arrived and it was stone cold. The food would be very good if it arrived hot.

Ordered simply two curry’s and two rices from here. It was delivered completely wrong when called back up and they were happy to send out another one waited another 40 mins they wanted the wrong items back. New curry turned up all in the bottom of plastic carrier and none in container delivery driver swor and stormed off as we wouldn’t accept it. Called resturant back they would only give. A refund if we took the cold wrong food back to them and they would give cash even though we paid card! Their customer service was shocking and rude not helpful at all. On receipt there’s an extra charge with no explanation to why an extra charge was given! After explaining we can’t get the food back to them they said we are busy my boss won’t come out and hung up….. disgusting service

Food was cold,,but more concerning was while I was waiting for my food at the take away, looking around the place is totally filthy, so much that I regretted placing my order,I notice I also don't have a higene rating at the door,very dirty all round from floor to walls and worktop,I wouldn't go back again sadly.

Ordered takeaway. Took 45 mins to arrive and was cold. Always order a jalfrazi and can be spicy one time and bland the next. Won't bother again.

Ordered Starter amd main course. Starter Mixed Kebab very nice. Main course not good. Chicken balti had no flavour, Just tasted of cheap curry powder. Usually very good here but Sunday nights are never good here. Avoid as not a cheap choice. A rare treat turned into a big dissapointment. Second bad meal here so will avoid in the future.
