Excellent.. extremely friendly food Delicious very dog friendly and Bonnie got a dog biscuit,, they ask first...need to book as always busy ,,,after visiting I know why and would definitely recommend them 😁

An amazing cozy coffee with brilliant staff, exceptional coffee and wonderful food.

Super friendly find. Food was amazing. Poached eggs perfect and tastey vegetarian haggis. Loads of tea, topped up the tea pot without having to ask. Soup looked good too. Dogs were welcome

On our way to findhorn stopped of at Elgin for coffee at the ditsy teacup it was full !! So round the corner we found batchen st coffee it was lovely, received with a smile we managed to get a table shared a coconut slice and 2 latte,s they were delicious will definitely be going back 😄

Batchen Street Coffee is the best place for coffee in Elgin. They have the best coffee, hands down! I recently tried the eggs benedict on toast with bacon which was really tasty. I prefer savoury to sweet so cant comment much on the cakes, but they usually look appetising. The staff are welcoming to me and my dog. My impression is that the cafe have had not the easiest of times keeping up with rising costs and maybe not getting the custom needed to keep going. I do hope more people support small business like these as they make Elgin a better place!

Batchen Street Coffee Shop is my absolute go-to café in Elgin! They have the BEST coffee & the chicken, tomato, avocado & siracha mayo toastie is sooo tasty!! The cakes aren't too bad either ;) The service is always amazing - the team are brilliant & really look after you when you visit. I can't recommend it enough.

Full disclosure: I did not go to the coffee shop; however, my husband wandered off to find us coffee while I "browsed" nearby. I'm not sure which variety of coffee he bought, but it was absolutely delightful. I've had a variety of coffee during our two-week vacation. Most of it ranged from questionably decaf to potentially epinephrine infused. This blend was perfect, and not too acidic. I only wish we would have had time to grab a bag of beans to enjoy later. Bravo!

lovely place, with friendly staff. Great variety of cakes and hot drinks! I had a Mocha and a Banoffee cake both were delicious, and even got a biscuit for the dog! Thanks for your reply! but having just read your post on facebook that Dogs may no longer be welcome, I very much doubt you will see me again as the only reason we visit is because you WERE dog friendly! 🐶☹

Wonderful cortardo. Rich, darkly baked brown bread crusts, dark chocolate and very full bodied. Coffee this good requires real skill to make.

Lovely little cafe with great coffee and delicious breakfast!

I've lived in Moray for just over a year now and only found this wonderful place yesterday (through the independent coffee guide book). What a gem! Fabulous food, fantastic coffee and great service from friendly, knowledgeable staff. The Peruvian pour over was excellent and I ended up buying some beans to take home. Sandwich specials were tasty and generously filled, to top it off, the pistachio frangipane cake was worth the trip on its own! I will definitely be back 👍🏻

Great coffee, great food , lovely friendly service from the manager and young staff and a wonderfully laid back relaxed vibe , why are all cafes not like the Batchen? a breakfast naan with bacon and egg and a fab flat white x 2 , excellent place for a light lunch when in Elgin

Quite a basic menu but who needs a big menu when what you do is fantastic. Definitely going back

I'd left my mobility scooter outside while I was having lunch in the restaurant. The young girl who served me was really pleasant and helpful, and the soup and cheese on toast was nice! Then this other woman said, "Will you move your scooter, as I'm putting up Christmas decorations?" No, please or thank you, and I'm in the middle of eating my lunch, so I sad once I've had my soup as I didn't want it to go cold. She said it will only take you a minute to move it, but move it to where? She was really obnoxious, so at this point, I carried on eating my soup and ignored her!

Lovely atmosphere, staff are really well presented and the owner is always so accommodating and welcoming. Food standards are great and the coffee is fantastic. I look forward to coming back.

Fantastic place love their sandwiches and bagels and my favourite part is the local apple juice, I visit for lunch with my dad most Mondays and the customer service is so great they even remember our drink order, highly recommend.

Not friendly to tourists - plenty of free tables but we were a group of 5 turned away "because sandwiches would take too long to make" at 12.30pm on a Saturday...

1st visit yesterday to this lovely coffee shop. Staff very polite and attentive. Having the waiter choose my coffee after asking my preference was an unexpected bonus. He chose a delicious Kenyan coffee bean to serve in my V60. Can't wait to visit again.

I have visited Batchen Street Coffee a bunch of times now, but not frequently by any means, and that’s significant. Because despite visits being months apart, the staff remember me and treat me like a loyal regular. This is indicative of the level of service that you can expect from the team here at BSC. the food menu is good and can accommodate most dietary needs. The environs and ambiance is fresh and contemporary. But it is the service which makes this place standout. In short, in this sleepy little town, BSC is my go-to when my tummy rumbles.

High standard coffee and food. Ordered the Batchen full breakfast - fantastic! Not greasy, full of flavour and quality. Service was faultless. Young guy that served us was such a wee character, sets a high standard for what service should be. Very accommodating to us as we hadn't booked, took the outdoor table, when it started to rain he was straight out to sort us an indoor table as soon as one became available. Would definitely be a repeat customer if we lived locally!

First time in and will not be the last, lovely coffee and I had the scrambled eggs with salmon which was excellent. Staff polite and attentive. Noticed lovely cake when paying but will have to sample another time, great excuse to return.

I've been going here for a few years, and have been consistently impressed by the very warm, friendly and attentive staff; and the quality of the coffee, which is terrific. Whenever I've had one of their cakes or anything to eat it's been delicious as well. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere, chic but welcoming, and a lovely place all round.

Visited for the first time yesterday. I wish I had known about this place before.My friend and I both had a delicious bacon roll and excellent hot chocolate. The menu looks really good. This is more like the cafés/restaurants one might find in Edinburgh. Can't wait to try out more from the extensive menu!Perfect.

The coffee is very good. And the staff go above and beyond. I came in with a party a little larger than could fit at an available table, but they did an excellent job of accommodating us.

Visited for lunch today and had the best cranberry bacon and brie wrap I've ever had. We had booked which was just as well as it was fairly busy . All safety measures in place friendly staff and not a bad price. Will be back.

Easily the best coffee I've had in Scotland and service is second to none.

Visited on Saturday for breakfast. Had booked a table in advance just to make sure we got a table. Menu has plenty of choice and would recommend the pancakes and bacon. Service was good and we were asked to move to allow them to accommodate a table of 4 which we were happy to do and the staff knocked off one of our coffees which they didn’t have to do. We had our dog with us and they provided water and some biscuits for him.Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back to try some more of the menu!

Reviews don't lie. These guys make a mean capuccino. Finding a parking spot nearby can be tricky.

Visited here a few days ago and found it to be a great cafe with a good vibe going on. Very friendly, polite & helpful staff, great service. Good quality coffee & baking (had a delicious lime & courgette cake) & had a light lunch, all at reasonable prices. Dog friendly (water & dog biscuits kindly offered). Great experience, thank you.

Since lock down has been lifting me and my partner love to go for some breakfast in the morning. We've been to different places around Elgin but Batchen Street is the best. Wonderful food and amazing coffee, really kind and friendly staff. The manager even allowed us to come in before they actually opened because we turned up 10 minutes early. 100% would recommend!

Very busy little coffee shop with a good variety of cakes. I had a lemon meringue doughnut and it was heavenly! Introduced my boss to iced coffee as well and he loves it now. Good service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Overall a good place to stop for a bite to eat.
