Baskin Robbins Sparkbrook in Birmingham

Absolutely disgusting service and the quality of molten cake was straight from the fridge and wasn’t baked/warmed as described on their menu. As I don’t have a microwave so that’s why I ordered online and paid for the dessert so I expect the dessert as described. That was False selling. I will let my friends and family know and not to order from them.

Decent Branch, first time here and the quality of icecream is the Same throughout even other branches across the globe! Really impressed with the service and will definitely be coming back.

Great selection of ice creams and other desserts. My favourite is the peanut butter stack. Definitely worth a visit.

A good place for icecream or milkshake but the place was boiling hot with no AC working. We were so hot while eating ice cream.

Excellent customer service and friendly staff. The interior was super clean with a warm, glowing ambiance and very comfortable seating. Shame there aren't more Baskin Robbins like this branch - Highly recommend visiting! EDIT (04/08/24): The shop is now half the size it used to be compared to 2021.

Service not so good. This pudding was a disappointment as you can see for yourselves.

Server was friendly and did help us choose flavours. The quality and flavours of ice cream were amazing. Shop was quiet so we were served very fast. Parking was awful but not their fault. Would 100% return!

Ladypool Road location There is much more variety than many other local deserts shop in the area and the ice cream is tasty. I would pick the menu item which allows you to pick 8 different ice-cream flavours which is value for money . Plenty of comfortable seating and clean environment.

Great experience here at Baskins. Felt extremely welcomed by Yaqoob who provided exemplary customer service. He went above and beyond to make sure that me and my family had a pleasant experience. The young chap definitely deserves a pay rise when compared to other staff who didn't seem bothered This may be because of the Asian lady claiming to be the manager who was throwing her weight about, pointing and clicking her fingers which must make it quite an intimidating environment to work in...

Urvashi serviced us. Recommended the mango which is perfect as i wanted something fruity! Greeted with a smile and good service overall!

I went here last month the lady was acting as if she couldn’t see me to start with as she was busy talking to another young lady. I asked for some dessert and she asked me to wait… eventually she put a slice of cake in and when I asked her which of the two flavours she recommended for Ice-cream she just gave me a stare and said “I don’t know” she wanted me to pay before even scooping the ice cream! I told her I would have liked the cake heated up as it was very hard, she just carried on talking to the other lady. I found her very rude. I then witnessed a couple who came in with two young kids, it was shocking how long she took to acknowledge them and serve them. Today my daughter visited and said “the lady in there is so not good at her job, zero customer service skills”. There’s a new young man there who was much more interested in treating the customers well when this lady who I believe is “the manager” has zero customer service skills. It’s a shame as the place itself is lovely. Staff/management can make or break a business!

Just popped in to Ladypool rd baskin and robins. The service deliver by the young lady behind the counter was next to nothing her name was Urvashi. Wasn’t sure what to have but she was happy to let me taste a few ice cream to help me pick something I really liked. Ice was 10/10 sure to go back soon. Highly recommend to visit. Best ice cream on Ladypool rd.

Baskins & Robbins Small store with lovely customer services and a good selection of Baskin & Robbins flavours. At busy periods the store can be crowded, difficult to find a table and long queues. No car parking or wheelchair facilities I would give more stars if the store was bigger with a customer car parking facilities.

Baskin Robbins are my favourite ice cream palce it's the best 👌 and Urvashi is one in a million 😋 always happy and ready to service her customers thanks alot ❤❤❤

They mentioned their close time is 12 midnight but its third time We gone at 11:30 and they closed they don’t attend phone call as well. Very disappointing.

Always a hit and miss with shakes. Out of good flavours majority of the time. Staff all make stacked shakes differently? Very weird.

My kids wanted baskin ribbons so I thought I’d treat them. The staff were ok. Bought 4 ice creams. Whilst waiting one of the ice creams fell down. Come to pay for it and I was charged with the one on the floor aswell. Wasn’t told I’d be charged. Won’t be using again

Good ice-cream but the place can get crowded at times

I would put 0 stars if I could. We were waiting 30-45mins in a queue to order our food. After 20mins we were told that we could only order ice cream as they were closing soon, which was fair enough so we still waited. When it was finally our turn to order, we were told that they were closing and we had to leave after waiting all the time. No sympathy from the worker for all our time we had wasted. He knew what time he had to close so he could've told us a lot earlier that he wouldn't have time to make our order, and we could have saved so much time and gone somewhere else. Service for other people was poor and very slow, no respect from employees, would strongly advise to go somewhere else, food is overpriced anyway and seating is dirty. Better off going anywhere else on ladypool road with the huge range of dessert shops available. Baskin Robbins is on the decline and will shut soon from the way it's going. Don't be another victim of this shambles of a shop and go to cream curls or artisan instead. Once again, 0 stars deserved please take this advice.

Very bad services. We ordered a cheesecake and we were served with an out of date cake. When we mentioned it to the staff - we were told this is a regulated branch and the cake cannot be out of date (without even looking at the cake). I asked them just throw it in the bin and they did not even apologise and just walked off with the cake. The place is run by a bunch of school kids who probably are under age woth no manners or staff training.

There was a young man who served me and his customer service was the best I ever sent and he was one of the best fast food employees I have met he deserves a raise I would come next time

My go to place for ice cream…found the spot in Aberdeen initially, but fortunately found that they had a spot in Birmingham as well. Its clean, i get to try ice cream flavours! Its amazing!

Great selection of ice creams and desserts, and a good seating area. Limited options in desserts (no hot cookie dough) and hot beverages (tea was only limited to English tea). Not a criticism, just something to elevate the experience to 5 star

We went in close to closing time and ordered ice cream. The ice cream itself was nice but the attitude and service from the staff was outrageous. We were told to rush our orders when there was 20 minutes left til closing time - more than enough time to order and eat our ice cream there. We asked to sit down - they refused, when there was already 1 table with people sitting on it. Secondly, the server threw the ice cream onto the counter with disrespect and when my dad went to pay with cash, the server said there wasn’t enough change (which doesn’t any make sense after a day of serving). After checking the receipt it showed that we were served by the manager! Appalling and unsatisfactory service, with staff unable to put customers first.

Looks like they have a new manager , great customer service . A bit pricey , but ok once in a while. Lots if flavours of ice cream to choose from .

Fantastic Too many positives to list off Ice Cream was great. So many creative flavors. It's a breath of fresh air, especially compared to the generic dessert parlours in Alum Rock or even next door on Ladypool Rd. The serving sizes are excellent too. At other places I receive too much or too little but this is just right. And the smaller size of 8 flavors is genius! But the real star of the show was the service. The big guy with glasses, Mihir I think his name was, had excellent customer service. Friendly, calm, there to help and was patient with us. We had never been to Baskin Robbins before so he helpfully introduced us to the style of desserts they offer. When asked what flavors of ice cream he recommends, he was incredibly helpful in choosing something that fit our tastes. This is after we had a negative experience with service staff at a different restaurant earlier in the day. 10/10 service Will definitely be visiting here again with friends and family. Thank you Baskin Robbins and Mihir for a brilliant time 🙏🏽🍦

Great place for a quick ice cream

Things going downhill as they mostly out of flavours.

It is truly fascinating to know that you can finally get the best icecream in the world (Baskin Robbins) here in Birmingham. Huge selection and delicious flavours no matter what you go for. I think the only downside would be during crowded times, the queue can get really long, especially with 2 workers behind the counter only and each family ordering up to 10 individual items per family. A mere suggestion is if they could sell long date 500ml-1L tubs to giant supermarkets and then they'd be making more money and making a lot more customers happy. Thank you guys.

Variety of flavours, has the Baskin Robins quality. It must be highlighted the customer service of the young lady who was working there on the evening of Saturday 11th June was impeccable. A valuable asset to the place.

Can't fault the service from the two gentlemen who have served me whenever I have been there in the past. They are always friendly and helpful. Ice cream is great as you would expect and is well priced in comparison to other places in the local vicinity.

My current addiction!!!! There berry ice-cream with the sorbet in it is yummmy and my recently discovered favourite the crembrule one (can't remember the full name but it taste like butter scotch , yum!). I usually go for the three scoops (I like ther little bucket cups they use, so I was a bit sad they had run out of them but the ice cream was still worth it!)staff is lovely , everytime I go in I've never had a problem, good job, I guess I'll see you soon this reviews made me want the crembrule ice-cream now ! (Wish you had a more local store tbh.... actually it's good you don't I would be broke and rounder than I am now !!)

I placed a just eat order 9:00pm, at 10 it got delayed to 10:40. It's now 11 as I write this and my order was just cancelled not too long ago. Tried phoning up but no response. You're a franchise, not some part timers. Sort it out.

To be honest, the outlet and management deserve 1 rating.****** If you're are a tidy person and looking for a 100% customer-focused place, then this ice-cream parlour is not for you. When I visited yesterday, the company franchise outlet was opened for taking out only due to an ongoing refurbishment. The outlet wasn't ready for serving however, considering the weekend business, the management just opened it without any preparations. Comparatively, with the number of customers, the outlet had only 1 member of staff available and that looks tired as well. Apart from this, their ice-creams was great and I do recommend their pistachio almond as the flavour contains less sugar and fits most of the taste buds as well. So, yes if you are visiting for the first time, must try their 'Pistachio Almond' ice cream and shakes. PS:- If you are visiting for the first time and not an ice cream lover, please do not order more than one scoop as their 1 scoop is way too bigger than a normal scoop. Otherwise, you'll end up with an ice-cream dinner 😂

Came on Eid day with friends. Unfortunately the food wasn't up to scratch. Waffles tasted store bought and prices are quite a lot for what you're getting. Staff do follow Covid guidelines which is always reassuring.

It's a place in the middle of Pakistan Capital and in busy shopping mall , the catchy name does attracts the people assuming something Continental but not the real in taste to my experiance or may by I ordered the stuff which didnot met my expectations , the traditional battered Fish n chips , batter was more oily , Fish wasn't Cod and served without the English Traditions ( salt n (vinegar missing)) , lettuce salad was adding insult to Injury of the platter. I wouldn't rate or recommend.

Amazing place; the staff was respectful, the place was clean and more importantly the food was better than I'd heard about will definitely be visiting again.

For the price of the desserts i could buy the whole tub of icecream for £4. They charge £4 for 1 scoop, its a daylight robbery.

Pathetic service absolutely disgusting behaviour from staff, when asked for his name he misbehaved even more and refused to give it we have been a regular costumer and maybe the management has changed and they’ve employed people with no training or discipline they were very poorly behaved and needs to be trained how to take orders.. all the tables were dirty and staff members were busy making jokes amongst themselves.. it ruined the end of my evening.. definitely visit one of the other dessert places if you like to have a nice time. I wish there was a negative star rating to add..!!

Great service and Great ice cream. I came in last Saturday and was served by a waiter called Adam, he gave nice round scoops and was friendly all around and the ice cream tasted great i recommend!

Went with my family for dessert to this place ordered a few ice creams and e.c.t....for my kids, one of my daughters found black mouldy sponge cake which in my sense is a very unhygienic place to eat. Very unprofessional staff,don't care about customers at all!! Here a pic of the proof.

Love this place have been going since they opened have seen lots of staff come & go. Went on bank holiday was served by Aiden fantastic customer service, polite friendly and calm especially when it was so busy. Did however notice the manager telling young children off for not sitting down, he also kept saying to every customer "will be with you shortly" and then pushed the other two workers forward whilst he continued to watch customers and faff about at the back. If u go ask to be served by Aiden he is just great

Visited today and was served by Aydan who did an amazing job, great service and even bought our order to the table A++++. However manager, (Asian bearded man) very rude had back turned and then told Aydan off for not acknowledging customer who decided to leave the shop in front of customers. Absolutely disgusted at this mans rude behaviour towards staff. He should be given customer service training again and lessons in manners as clearly he didn’t have any trying to belittle staff members in front of customers. 1st time I’ve seen this manager there and really really shocked and disgusted at the way he spoke to this staff member who had done nothing wrong. Should learn to manage his anger better

Extremely disappointed with the attitude of the supposed manager at the branch this evening (22/08/21). Me and my family visited the branch today and when we were about to place the order, the manager informs us that it is Baskin Robins policy that we have to pay before we order. The irony is that the till is at the end of the counter for the very reason that you try/buy your ice cream and pay for it when you have ordered. I enquired whether this policy has changed as I have visited the same branch on multiple occasions and this has never been the case. To my amazement, the managers response was that this has always been the policy and he uttered that “I am the manager and it has always been the case.” At this point I walked to the till to pay first and a family before us were leaving for the same reason. Anyway, I asked him for a few flavours and his response was, oh this is not in stock today. How can I be expected to pay first and choose the flavours thereafter? Upon questioning, the manager said “I am the manager, I know which ice cream is in stock.” He has no menu for the list of ice creams so I am expected to know all the flavours and pay for the order for it to be made. By this point, the manager was being obstreperous, so we decided to leave and go have our ice creams elsewhere. Very disappointed with the customer service at this branch.

Awesome, cookies & cream is just amazing

Been wanting to visit for ages and finally got the chance. I ordered a cookie layered sundae and cookie stack shake, both tasted gorgeous. The staff were very nice and friendly as well, can't wait to visit again.

My payment card has been double charged and they are not sorting out the refund. Been waiting almost 2 months. Told me it had happened to a number of customers on that day. Worst customer service I have ever had. Basically stealing money from customers. Emailed customer support but they haven't done anything about it.

I was disgusted at this horrible place as the service was rubbish. An awfully nasty smell came from the toilets and the waiter kept questoining us as he wasnt even listening to us when we were placing our order. I dont even want to give this place one star its a zero for me so i DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to ANYONE

Best ice cream in Birmingham, just rubbish opening times so it's a rare treat...google says opens at 4pm but deliveroo is 5pm so too late before work is done to grab some ice cream. I wouldn't go anywhere else because nowhere is as good but this part-time business approach sucks

Ice cream parlour rather than a gelato. Very welcoming atmosphere for kids and families , the manager Abdul Haqq was very polite the kids loved him. Overall polite staff, would definitely recommend.

There are lots of variety of ice cream flavours, scoops, waffle, crepes, shake, brownies, cheesecake. It's a nice place for a treat, just a dessert or sunny days. Hygiene=perfect staff= kind and friendly environment =ideal for EVERYONE= families, friends and couples.

Loved the place.! The waffle was super yummy. All the ice creams tasted great but vanilla was the best. The service was good however no proper que and ad a result longer waiting times.
