O entregador não avisou que estava vindo para o hotel, pedi para o meu marido ir na recepção aguardar a entrega, o entregador chegou antes, foi grosso, e disse que estava esperando há 10 min. Mais um exemplo de grosseria na Inglaterra, somado às muitas aqui em um pequeno espaço de 48 horas.

We are a couple from Denmark who visited on Sunday 19 januar 2020 and ate dinner at Basilico Italian, the food was expensive but lousy, the dishes were greasy from old oil. Certainly not a place we will come again.

Di italiano c’è solo il nome del ristorante. Personale che non capisce la lingua italiana e cibo di pessima qualità. Sono del idea che qualità prezzo conviene il Mc Donald che dista vicino vicino.

Location molto carina, anche se non c’è nulla che possa ricordare l’Italia 😂.il personale è gentilissimo ma non parla una parola di italiano 😂! La colazione è molto buona sia quella inglese che quella continentale. Il cappuccino davvero ben fatto! La musica in sottofondo.....vintage ma italiana....pupo, phoo etc

I went to Basilico two days straight for a breakfast. I ordered the "mini english breakfast" and it was quite ok. The waitress was friendly by the way.

The Hugh street has quite a choice of restaurants, I have eaten here twice while staying nearby. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the menu is not bad, but not real authentic food. The calamari was nice and the chicken in Mascarpone was a very large portion, it came with salad and I added a side portion of fries. All in all not a bad meal and I don’t understand some of the most recent reviews as the staff are a diverse group who were all friendly

I had the misfortune to be present when the group of black ladies were treated appallingly by the Basilico staff a week ago. They had done nothing wrong, but were shown up disgracefully, in front of other patrons. Add to this,I learnt later, they were told they MUST pay the discretionary service charge! Talk about treated like second class citizens !! As for the food here, very very bland.

Restaurant sympathique avec un jolie décor. Si vous voulez manger un plat à bon rapport / qualité prix, c'est la bonne adresse. Le point négatif c'est qu'il n'y a pas grand choix de desserts et l'amabilité des serveurs est à revoir !

They gave one of my friends the wrong meal twice and didn’t even apologise or make up for it so she didn’t eat, we were forced to pay service charge despite the horrible customer service. They probably thought we didn’t know how restaurants work...we told then to remove the service charge and the waiter said it is compulsory to pay ...they think they can fool their customers??!!...disgraceful and disgusting of them!!..the food took about 45 minutes to arrive. It was plain as well...they did not even apologise for not bringing my friend the food she ordered....when we finished paying the waiter asked ‘with an arrogant facial expression, “which country are you from?” Instead of asking us relevant questions like, “did you enjoy your food?”....RACISTS!!!...I Don’t advise anyone to eat from there...especially people of colour!!!

we were a group of ten people and we ordered food and it took about 45 minutes to arrive , the people in the restaurant were all staring at us and also one of the waiters was really rude to us. my friend ordered a beef burger without cheese she asked to change they didnt change it at all so she didnt eat anything and we were charged a service charge we asked to remove it and they refused because we didnt get the service they were asking us to pay for. food was so tasteless no flavours and so blunt and awful

Starter was OK, Spaghetti bolognese was very bland and no offer of parmesan. Service automatically added to the bill and i didn’t have the heart to get it removed. Left what you see in the photo not much point in eating, it not even for bulk.

This was a great find in a street full of diversified restaurants. The food could not have been more delicious and well cooked, and the service could not be faulted. I had the calamari fritters for the entree and the Pollo Milanese (chicken) for the main course. Try their Limoncello to finish up with.....delicious. The young Italian owners were so friendly and attentive, and when not too busy were in for a chat. I will definitely be going back to this Ristorante on my next visit to London.

DIARRHOEA for seven days after eating here. Be WARNED. Ordered puttanesca served bolognese, waiter argued that we had ordered bolognese. Adjoining table confirmed we had ordered puttanesca.Waiter backed down served puttanesca. Waiter did not seek a tip which is very unusual. I had diarrhoea for seven days while on holiday from overseas. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Ristorante: Ottimo // Cortesia del personale: eccellente. Visitato due volte e da italiani ci riteniamo pienamente soddisfatti della cucina e del prezzo (adeguato al tenore di vita londinese). Sinceramente stra-consigliato. Basilico Ristorante Italiano, tutta la vita

Locale visitato due volte, ed entrambe ci siamo trovati bene. Da italiani possiamo dire che la pasta era buona. Personale gentilissimo ed attento alle esigenze del cliente. Prezzi proporzionati con quelli di Londra, rapporto qualità prezzo buona.

Poor salad £10.99 for some sad looking leaves. And bit of cheese and half an avocado. Grilled “marinated garlic prawns with parsley” £8.50 consisted of 6 dried grilled prawns with NO flavour what so ever. Lasagne was worse than a school dinner. Fed back to...

This is yet another re-naming - was the Olive Tree and wasn't that long, slightly different menu, same people, they have had three names in about 9 months - I think it's difficult to stay afloat, I speak to a lot of traders on Queensway...
