The worst chow mein I've ever had! Was very disappointed. Soggy thin packet noodles in some sort of goo with soggy cabbage and broccoli... Neither of us ate it because it was so bad. Other items like salt and pepper chicken were ok but have had better. Unfortunately very disappointed! My husband could have cooked a better chow mein and he's from Hull!

£40 food and everyone was up all night sick food was late first time using never again

Used to be the best chippy in the area, tonight I was given this!!! Fish with bones in and chips which were clearly bought from a supermarket!!! AVOID!!!

Must have changed hands again. Just paid £21 for a munchies box. We got 4 wings and 3 min ribs. S/p chippy rice, noodles and curry. Won't be going again.

Got a delivery was prompt warm and well presented lovely friendly driver aswell would use again without hesitation

Wait was over an hour and food was soggy when arrived. Must add sugar to their dishes as food was way too sweet. Unfortunately, most of it ended up in the bin.

I had a craving all day for hot and sour soup. They delivered bang on time late at night on a bank holiday and both the soup and the shredded chicken were top notch. Full marks from me.

Received the wrong order I ordered wings ribs chicken pieces ect, i received chicken NUGGETS mini sausage things samosas Nothing I asked for or paid for.Called back to be told it's a mis communication and there is nothing they could do, I asked if I could leave my number for management to ring back tomorrow to be told yes, then the boss doesn't want to speak to you bye and hung up, I wasn't rude didn't raise my voice just explained the error.

The gravy is nicer than nanas. Chips are on point. Nice, plentiful not too soft and not too hard. The Chinese food is sometimes all right buy mostly its not. The people as always are quite sullen. I put this down to the language barrier. Probably unfair to say as I go for food not to socialise.

When the driver came he had 2 orders as the original one did go through. Checked the bank and 2 payments had been charged. Tried to contact the store but no answer. Called the next day. Was told I should have refused the delivery. The driver did not advise this. They can't offer a refund as the food was accepted. Why they didn't think that 2 identical orders to the same address within 3 minutes was an error is beyond me. Rude woman on the phone. Paid over £50 for a £24 meal which quite honestly wasn't even nice.

the prawn toast I ordered was all dried and burnt! Not worth the £5 odd for it as there didn't see to be any prawns in there either.....very disappointed will be trying somewhere else next time.

Always go Barton oriental by far best Chinese around food is always delicious and the staff are lovely and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. 5 stars from me🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

First & last visit ! Woman serving was not very friendly. She could have smiled and made me feel welcome, she was happy to take my money !! .....I ordered Crispy King Prawns in Cantonese Sauce with big soft noodles the prawns were not crispy they were covered in a soggy batter and the sauce tasted llike sweet and sour sauce.....way too sweet. Not worth £10.......Jade Garden is far better

Awful meal deliverd half an hour ago chicken chow mien chewy slimy chicken no taste to the sauce, ate a few of the noodles will NOT be ordering from them again.

I wouldn't order from here. Ribs were rubbery and tough, spring rolls were not as good as Aldi. And far too expensive. Gone down the pan.

Ordered on Fri 17th sept at 1839, order arrived at 2030! Chips had been cooked multiple times, ribs were chewy and inedible. Ordered 8 veg spring rolls which contained meat and the prawn crackers were so stale they too were not rated. All in all I spent over £50 for food that not one single meal was eaten. As I ordered through deliveroo I thought I would complain on there but as the restaurant failed to show it as delivered until the following day this then wasn't possible. Honestly never had anything as bad in my life and feel wholly ripped off

So after waiting what felt like a day and chewing on most of my houses contents the food arrived and I must say was nice but its ashame there delivery times are a joke.

Me & Wife placed an order via Deliveroo to the Barton Oriental which was our first meal from this take away, we ordered the set meal for two, we called them up as we weren’t keen on the Chicken and Sweetcorn soup and they kindly swapped these for two large spring rolls, the food arrived hot, it tasted amazing and fresh, I think we have found our new Chinese takeaway that delivers, highly recommend the Barton Oriental to anyone *****

Ordered via Just Eat... Delivery time extended twice! I rang and the woman was so rude! Ordered sweet & sour chicken and 2 cheeseburgers- was two dried burgers on a stale barm with the smallest cheapest square of cheese. Kids looked at it and said I'm not eating that!! Luckily got refunded from Just Eat. Food awful, service awful. Will not be eating here again!! Nicest chinese around is "New Happiness" Worsley Rd , Eccles. Sadly not on just eat.

Moved from Eccles to Urmston and still use this Chinese always lovely hot food salt and pepper chicken is amazing

TERRIBLE!!! Didn't get what I ordered, at least it was nothing like what was advertised, chicken fried rice had next to no egg, and absolutely no vegetables at all, the "spicy Thai chicken" was literally frozen breaded chicken fillet covered in sweet and sour sauce. I got a slice OF a slice of prawn toast in the mixed platter. Wasted my money. Never going here again.

Disgusting raw cold food spent nearly £40 pound on salt and pepper boxes and I got chicken nuggets,cocktail sausages scraps of some sort of chicken white samosas plain chips burnt gravy only fit for the bin ,then spent over an hour trying to get a refund don’t not go here only got one star because I can do less illness waiting to happen this place

OK, positive, the food is good..... Negatives.... 2 to 3 hour delivery times even though 1 hour quoted. The horrendous and disgusting attitude from the woman on the phone is unreal.... This place needs to save itself before it is too late..... Its time to move on.

Joke of a place. When you chase up delivery after waiting most of the night they just tell you their busy and hang up the phone!

Awful. Ordered online. was told a delivery time of 90 minutes, nearly two hours later, still no sign. rang the restaurant, told another half an hour and nothing but attitude from the simpleton on the phone. rude.

Just a heads up about barton oriental (eccles) . Ordered a Singapore chow mein tonight and requested NO prawns. It came and was full of them so I rang up and very kindly explained I cant eat it to which I just heard a lot of shouting/arguing in the back ground about it. I was then told I would have a new one delivered this time without the prawns and when the driver got here he said they told me to ask you for a £1 ?🤣 because they've had to deliver to me again even though it was their mistake in the first place. Driver was lovely but the others veryyyy unprofessional. Couldn't enjoy my tea in the end so sat here hungry now. Definitely won't be ordering from there again it was absolutely disgusting aswell. Very dry, extremely tooo spicy and just yuck

Placed my order waited over 2 hours and then had the wrong order called them up to let them know and then said they will call back in 2 minutes and never did I called them back and asked to refund my money.. will not be ordering again

What a joke waiting a hour for food then the driver phoned to say he has been driving around for 20 mins lost and then said i will be 10 mins now freezimg cold soggy food no thanks

Ordered our meal relatively early approximately 6pm give or take 20 minutes. Said delivery by 7:15pm. Soon 7:30pm arrived and we called takeaway. Lady over the phone kept over talking me as i was trying to find out where my order was as me and my wife have a 3 year old who was hungry. Anyways she said its with driver. 8pm arrived luke warm to say the least. Wouldnt mind we ordered 3 suasages and 3 chips. How on earth does it take that long. Seriously poor attitude. Poor customer service and overall completly shocking. And to top things off food went in the bin and had to cook beans on toast as it was already to late to cook a propper meal. Contacted barton once again and asked for a refund. As i wasnt prepared to wait another 2 hours for chips and sausages told over the phone by the lady. I quote we will fire driver. Complete and utter disrepect. Standards have slipped very far should be ashamed of yourselfs.

I ordered what I usually do every Sunday this week it came with cold salt & pepper chicken and cold curry sauce so I phoned up and said what the problem was, the woman that answered told me it was Impossible and had a bad attitude with me and then there was an awkward silence and she went soooo.... so I suggested she sent new curry sauce and salt & pepper chicken and she said no its impossible that its cold and said I was lying

Have had food from this takeaway before and has always been very good. A couple of weeks ago we ordered salt and pepper spare ribs, large spring rolls and Singapore vermicelli. The spare ribs were that well done I rang to complain and they sent another, equally bad replacement by the way I have never complained before about any other take away Thinking that it was just one of those nights we ordered the same meal again....my word ALL of the meal was inedible and I will never ever order from the BARTON ORIENTAL again. If they have changed their staff they better sort it out quickly or they will go out of business.

Ordered at 5:50pm and only just recieved my order at 8:15pm! Couldn't get through to them as it was saying line busy. Why not just reject orders If you can't send them in time?!

Wow. They delivered to stretford and food was piping hot and tasty. I ordered collection by mistake but they rang to check and delivered it to me. As a vegetarian I worry about the tofu or veg not being cooked properly or not being enough. It was all delicious and I would definitely recommend this place.

I wish i could rate it lower. Ordered food for delivery. Turned up 30 minites late, cold and not fit for human consumption. Looked as if it was cooked by that person who tells you they cant cook. £12 for 4 awful chips. Best to avoid.

Don't order English food from here Pudding cold pastry very dry the chips cold and overcooked I ordered mushy peas and got tinned processed peas. First and last visit 😝

Pretty decent chips, and portion sizes are good. Not a whole lot more to say about a Chinese chippy! I can't comment on the Chinese part of the place.

As a walk in customer they seem more interested in taking phone orders,so takes a while to get served. Food seems ok ,large portions good menu ,but must speed up service.

We came because it was the local take away. But w enjoyed the food so much we came back two more nights. I have to say that we were recommended this restaurant and their selection is great. They have online ordering system which was being installed the first day we came. But we ordered at the location. Its a small place. But the take away was great. Food great and staff helpful .

Had a superb beef chow mein with the crispy noodles. Difficult place to get to by car, if you intend to park. Very limited space. Very extensive menu, will certainly visit again.

As a chippy it's pretty decent, you get what you pay for near enough, not too bad unless you order from the Chinese section, then it's a bit hit or miss, I'm only fortunate I've been lucky most times I've been and ordered of Just Eat (be aware the price is increased on Just Eat since they take a cut).

Quick service but all chicken isn't fried fresh it's hard and if u phone back they deniey it you'll need a trip to dentist after the wings

Ran out of Driving hours in truck in the middle of Trafford Park, starving, ordered via just eat, food delivered to me in truck within 20 mins and was delicious, one of the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Thank you for such an excellent service and quality 5****

Don’t bother, over an hour which we were prepared to wait an hour and ten minutes after order we called to chase up only to be told it’s cooked and waiting for the driver to come back. Wouldn’t say how long the order had been ready for sat waiting. I’d rather not have stale food. Asked for a refund but they refused. Now an hour and a half in.

Worst takeaway in eccles. They charged me for somthing i Didn't receive and then wouldn't refund the difference after a ten minute phone call and a visit in person and by the way they handled it i don't think I'm the first to complain about it. The food was horrible and dry as well as if it had just been reheated and if i could give zero stars i would. Total ripp of n won't be ordering again

I eat from there often as it's next door the next day not one of them dishes can't be eat again the ingredients must be frozen for 20 years before use I'm sure I would live if they get checked by food inspectors and health 😁

Went in to order chips and curry I was informed that had run out of chips.
