Fantastic service, quick friendly and a great knowledge of the menu. A thoroughly enjoyable lunchtime meal well done.

Had Vegan Pizza and Shepherds pie. Shepherds pie was tasty it lacked any real flavour. New potatoes were dry. A little Vegan butter would have made all the difference. The cheese on the pizza was not nice at all. Had a horrible flavour. Our waiter was efficient, however not one smile. No pleasantries whatsoever. We understand it's a hard job but it's nice to feel welcome. I doubt we will return.

We went to Bartellas for my birthday and had 3 large tables of people.and the service was amazing. They really cared that I had a good night, and all the little extras were brilliant, like a personalised menu and gift table plus Prosecco for everyone on arrival.

We had a really lovely evening with great friends at Bartellas the food was outstanding and the service from the staff was really proffesional and polite we were looked after from the moment we stepped inside to the moment we left , we would certanly be back and would highly recomend it .

Our friend took my partner and myself here as a Birthday present, staff were excellent, service was a little slow, but the restaurant was fully booked. We were a little disappointed with the food, as it seemed over cooked. I had whole Sea Bass with meditation veggies. By the time I took the head and tail off there was very little fish left to eat. My partner has steak (very expensive) asked for med rare. Over cooked. It was a shame as when we've been before in the week the food has been delicious, but because this was a Saturday night, I feel they were over stretched with the amount of covers, etc.

Visited for the first time since we moved away from Gravesend. Decided to come back for my husbands birthday. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, a very calm ambience and nice tables with plenty of space between. Staff very welcoming, professional, smiley and polite. Have to say the food is not close to what it used to be. The prawn starter was extremely crispy that you can barely taste the prawn. The prawn linguine was an absolute let down, this was baby shrimps at the most. Definitely not prawns. Creamed spinach was extremely washed down, beef wellington was good, as was the pizza. However I would say half of our order was less than average. The food isn’t cheap here, therefore you would expect much better. I won’t be retuning and making the drive, however if the food improves this would still be a great place to visit. I didn’t bring this to anyone’s attention as stated above, half of our order wasn’t great, therefore I would not expect half of our order to be revoked or changed to another dish.

We had a superb lunch, all cooked perfectly with amazing flavours. The waiting staff were attentive without being obtrusive. We wished one of our party a happy belated Birthday and athough no one had mentioned it to Bartellas after we had desert a surprise Happy Birthday plate topped with a candle was delivered, that's what you call service. As my 98 year old Mother has limited mobility I had requested a chair with arms which was waiting for her at the table. Nothing was too much trouble.

Invited out by my boss after we finished work for as he put it “a company treat” quiet when we arrived but was early and very quickly filled up as the evening went on. Food was faultless as was the service, the beef rib starter extremely good and I do not remember the last time I had such a good pizza (San Daniele but with extra topping of mushrooms !) a really enjoyable evening and I will 100% be goin back.

Plenty of parking. Food was excellent. Service was excellent atmosphere was excellent. Very nice night out and will be sure to be returning here again. Thankyou.

Izzy was a great waitress, very polite and friendly. The food was lovely and we all had a great time for our special occasion. We sat upstairs and had the party menu. Would recommend!

2nd or 3rd visit, very comfortable, staff very attentive, food on point.

We were looking to grab a bite when driving through this area and went due to good reviews. Not disappointed. Large car park with plenty of free even on a Saturday afternoon, easy to call and reserve a table, fabulous choice of wine and cocktails. The food deserves a review of its own. We ordered a pear salad, which was heavenly. Mains were equally superb, generous portions, and really reasonable prices. Felt like were in rural France in the heart of Kent.

Recently had a wedding reception in The Salon (upstairs private room), can't fault the food or the service, Aaron our waiter was absolutely brilliant, was so attentive, would highly recommend a visit.

Have just been to Bartellas for my brother's wedding lunch. Food was delicious the atmosphere was perfect and the young man that served us was exceptional, so professional, polite and helpful

We often go to Bartellas on a Friday evening as we work hard all week and enjoy having great food and wine served by our favourite people when we can relax. Last Friday was no exception. The staff were so friendly and professional and the food was delicious. We are never disappointed and love to go there as often as we are able. Well done everyone xx

The third time I have been there and 2nd time I booked and paid. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a great meal served in relaxing surroundings and with so friendly and efficient staff. Our waiter kept everything ticking over smoothly. The menu choice is extensive. And timing of service just right. No long waits but no rush either.

I recently dined at Bartellas in Meopham, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The food was absolutely amazing, with each dish perfectly prepared and bursting with flavour. But what really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly attentive, especially to my disabled mother. They went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable and had everything she needed. It's rare to find such genuine care and attentiveness, and it truly made our dining experience special. If you're looking for fantastic food and top-notch service, Bartellas is the place to go!

A beautiful early evening meal sat out under the awning. The sunny day to enjoy beautiful food, great service… I had a seafood risotto that was probably the best I’ve had. My partner had the salmon which was exquisite. We're comfortably full and very happy satisfied customers. Thoroughly recommend Bartellas to anybody…

The basic menu is Italian but the menu changes regularly. High quality food and attentive service. Quite expensive but not unreasonable.

Rather miserable experience tonight, food was good, but got the impression the staff couldn't wait for us to leave. We sat down to eat at 7pm and left by 9pm as we felt we were in the way. Perhaps they shouldn't take bookings for Sunday evening if they don't want diners to enjoy a leisurely meal.

I would highly recommend this fine dine-in restaurant. The staff are very friendly and you get quick service. Nothing was too much trouble. Shout out to Reg Francis our server.

Four of us dined here. The food was absolutely amazing the service was second to none even considering that the restaurant was extremely busy, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and it was really good value for money. This was my first visit to Bartellas , we were in a group of 5 it was a birthday celebration of my friend , the service was excellent all the waiting staff work so hard ! , the young waiter that attended to us was such a friendly guy and good at his job , to be fair we did have to wait quite a long time for our mains and later we were all offered a complimentary drink because of this which most of us declined as some had drank enough but it was very appreciated . When our sweet was served the same waiter brought an extra plate with an ice cream and happy birthday written on the plate ! What a lovely gesture the person whose birthday it was suspected one of us had told the waiter but none of us did ! a really nice touch , we will most definitely pay another visit to Bartellas Kind regards Kevin

Our first time here but definitely not the last. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with smiles and friendly staff. We enjoyed a comfortable pre-drink in the bar area. The food ... just wow.... crayfish & prawn cocktail was fresh and delicious. The Leek & Mushroom Wellington was out of this world! We were served with polite & friendly & descreet staff. We returned to the bar area and was in awe of the professional bar staff who interacted whilst creating tantalising cocktails. A definite 5 🌟. Recommend 100%

This restaurant is a gem. You can tell that the owner puts so much effort and pride into the business. The food and drinks are great quality and atmosphere is always so welcoming. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Had a fabulous family meal , the food was lovely and the service was 1st class , 3 of us had roast dinners and it was delicious , the beef was melt in the mouth , homemade yorkies and plenty of fresh vegetables and tasty rich gravy couldn’t fault it . We will definitely be returning.

First visit to Meopham restaurant. Very pleased. Food was excellent. Only gripes were it was quite noisy & the wine for the price was very disappointing. Having said that we would definitely go back but maybe not on a Friday evening

A superb lunch with my daughter. We were warmly welcomed & the service and food we ate was so very well presented, and extremely tasty.

We have just had a delicious meal here. There is ample parking and well signposted. A good ambience on arrival. The staff were attentive and swift with our service. The food was tender and tastefully served. My Weiner Schnitzel was tasty and the dessert of Baileys cream filled profiteroles was just perfect. Thank you and will certainly come again.

Can’t rate highly enough. Excellent food service and having had very elderly parents with us they couldn’t assist us enough. Will be back again soon.

This is the most delicious lunch out I've had for a long time. Great choice on menu (vegan menu too) attractively presented, attentive professional waitors, a peaceful environment. We thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to going back.

Although it was fully booked and understandable it was a little bit hotter inside that was comfortable but despite this it was an absolutely fabulous dining experience. The services was impeccable and food was excellent

Everything about this restaurant is impressive. The staff are so professional and efficient - service was faultless. An amazing menu and the food delicious. The restaurant decor is so light and has a lovely warm atmosphere. I would without a doubt recommend a visit.

We went along for another Sunday lunch at our local restaurant, to find them extremely busy, it would seem that they were 'catering' for a wedding, at least two birthday parties, and a whole host of us usual's looking to feed our face with that national treasure, a Sunday Lunch ! it was that busy, that Bartella's have tables set up in Bar. not only did they take it all in their stride, the food was as excellent as usual, staff as friendly as always, and we did notice that whenever a member of staff returned to the main dining area, they all immediately surveyed all of the cover to see if anybody was looking for attention. the whole operation was a credit to first class training, well done Ian and all of you at our wonderful "Local Restaurant".

Really pleasantly surprised. First time visiting. Considering it was very busy with large table covers we were looked after so well. Food and service were fab. We tried a real mixture from the menu and everyone was happy. The pizzas are a must! Very good value for money ….. Bartella keep doing what you’re doing. Your staff are an asset to you

A very nice restaurant in Meopham village, friendly welcome by the manager and the meal was excellent. We were a birthday group coming for a meal - the menu choice was excellent and caters for all tastes. My choice was liver and bacon and was perfect. We all enjoyed the atmosphere and definitely recommend this restaurant.

Perfect evening at Bartellas celebrating with my husband. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant we were seen to promptly and had our coats taken to cloak room. Lovely waiter see us to our table and was very helpful with menu choices. Starters of Prawns did not disappoint and nice length of time between courses. The biscoff cheese cake was one of the best I've had. We will definitely be visiting again

Absolutely fantastic service and delicious food. Very generous portions on most of the dishes and the kitchen made something for one of our party that no longer was on the menu. 2nd visit and have already booked the third one. Highly recommend for ambience, decor, food and service. Fantastic detail for birthday man as well. Thank you to our waiter, he was brilliant!

We were seated quickly and our friend was already at the table. He had a menu and a drink but we didn't know who our waiter was and we needed to ask for 2 more menus and it was really difficult to get the attention of any waiter, so between 3 of us, we shared 1 menu. We waited quite long time before being asked if we wanted drinks. The free bread and garlic mayo was delicious. I ordered the Quatrro formaggi 'filled' mushrooms but what i got was very disappointing. There were 2 very thin slices of mushrooms with blu cheese cream over the top with some garnish. The word 'filled' is misleading and is not what i would use to describe this dish. When the waiter took our plates away, he failed to ask if everything was OK with our starters. I therefore asked why they weren't filled and he said they were in a blu cheese sauce, clearly not filled with anything. He just apologised and left it at that. Mains were again disappointing, the chicken was very thin like it had been hammered too much and the prosciutto was just sitting on top rather than wrapped around the chicken like I would have expected. The potatoes were lovely, as was the creamed spinach and garlic bread with cheese, however the quarters were stacked on top of each other and ended up stuck together. The tiramisu was average, the strawberry flavour doesn't work. The Biscoff cheesecake was good, as was the brownie, however part of the parchment cooking paper was left on it. In all fairness, this was taken off the bill. The carpark is inadequate, the spaces are too tight and there were some very inconsiderate car drivers. We ended up parking on the main road. I don't think I would eat here again.

Wonderful lunch with the family to celebrate my 70th birthday. Held in the salon private room, 22 of us enjoyed a great afternoon that went on till the early evening. Pre-arranged a 3 course menu which had lots of choices for the adults and the children choose from the kids menu. Food and service was excellent from when we arrived until we drank the last bottle of wine and called our cab. Special thanks to Millie and her colleagues that looked after us on the day and to Ian, Elliott, Aaron for their help in making it such a great occasion.

We came for my birthday lunch and had a wonderful time. The food was very good and the service was fantastic, can't remember our waiters' name but he made our visit memorable!! he brought out a candle with my dessert and all of the diners sang Happy Birthday...really nice touch. we came in today 31st January st 12:30. booked under my name Steve Burey. 10/10 this was our 2nd visit and it won't be our last! .

Whilst we were a large group (18), it was very disappointing to be told we couldn’t have a drink at the bar but had to go straight to the table (as I understand it, the maitre’d offered to carry people away over his shoulder if we didn’t sit down). So not off to a great start and the set menu was very disappointing. Especially for £35 a head! When I asked if it was possible for a couple of people to choose from the a la carte, the maitre’d gave a lengthy and ‘assertive’ explanation as to why he couldn’t possibly cater for that with all the covers in the restaurant and another large party upstairs. I really was only asking for one or 2 of our party. The response was somewhat disproportionate to the question and clearly agitated him. The food was ok. But I can’t get any more enthusiastic than that. For a place we have enjoyed many times, I can’t help but feel they are overstretching their capacity.

Bartellas never lets us down. One of the few restaurants open and running well on NY Day we were greeted instantly as usual, and also welcomed by a roaring fire and beautiful Christmas decorations. The staff here are just the absolute best, beating many London restaurants with their attention and professionalism. The food was good and came swiftly and the cocktails are very reasonably priced. Absolutely loved the Lavendar Posset with Honeycomb dessert. We only manage to get here twice a year, due to distance, but do so every year. For special occasions it is a must.

We have been to Bartellas on many occasions and I can't praise the place enough. We went tonight for dinner, always doubtful it can live up to our previous visits... how ever it didn't disappoint (as always!) The front of house chap (possibly Ian?) was as friendly and attentive as you could wish for and then the waiting staff took over. The restaurant was full but there was plenty of staff available. They were very observant checking on all the tables as they passed. The food is beautiful and delicious. My only criticism would be that the faux candles need a battery change but that's it!!! Certainly not a deal breaker in anyone's book. Check it out.... you won't regret it.

My 66th birthday, table for 4, star ter scallops, very tender, lovely sauce, main cod loin beautiful! Wife had steak, perfectly cooked and well presented! Thanks Elliot great service, just what I needed! Sad to say it is probably our last time as we move 200miles North in February.... Cheers all.

Have been coming here for a number of years now. Came for New Years Day. The staff and service are amazing, they really do make you feel so welcome and valued. The cocktails are very good with a great selection to choose from. You aren’t rushed at all which is 10/10 for me. The restaurant itself is very nice and toilets are spotless. Unfortunately there were two things that let this particular visit down slightly (for me) which was the food and ambiance. A prawn cocktail is a very standard starter and so for a restaurant like Bartellas you would expect it to be the best here. Unfortunately the prawns were like tiny shrimp, the sauce was quite bland and they were just scattered on top of some dark green leaves. Also, something crunchy was scattered over the top? For mains I ordered the rack of lamb but for £29 it was a bit disappointing. It came with the tiniest spoonful of mash and a literal scattering of peas. For £29 I expected better accompanying vegetables and at least enough mash just to last as long as the lamb. Also, both the starter and main appeared to have excessive amount's of red paprika? scattered all over them for decoration. We were a fairly large group ourselves including four children, but the noise coming from the table behind us was simply too much. iPads on full volume playing music loud throughout dinner was not enjoyable for us. Not the restaurants fault but just something to note. Food definitely needs improvement, however, everything else was perfection.
