Barrow takeaway in Barrow-in-Furness

I have used Barrow takeaway for years and it has never disappointed until tonight. I ordered chicken and cashew nut and it was like an English stew, celery, carrots, huge pieces of onion, some Chinese veg chopped very small, incipit pieces of bland white chicken and watery sauce. It was the worst Chinese dish I have ever had, to top it all the chips were n cold and soggy. Will not be back refund or no refund.

Ordered a meal at 6pm at 7.30 I called and asked how much longer the food would be. I was informed it was enroute and they had less drivers so the wait was longer. Why were we not told this when we ordered??? 8pm came and went with no food.....another phone call to be told....its on its way!!! Shocking service where they only care about taking your money with no customer service. Go elsewhere.

Ordered Chinese, came minus salt and pepper ribs. After phone call ribs turned up. Now salt and pepper ribs, just ribs with salt n pepper stuff thrown on top. Not happy

I have been to swag many times and have been satisfied but I recently ordered some donuts which came raw and cold, I rang the takeaway to resolve the issue to which they said they would give a refund for them, I have waited 3 weeks for a refund constantly getting excuses. I also ordered cheesecakes which are warm and runny nothing like cheesecake. I will not be going back

In this day and age a takeaway that won’t accept card payments is literally advertising the fact they are not paying tax.

Bueno, obviamente no estamos, ya que todavía estamos en nuestro camino a casa.la comida, como siempre, es realmente buena, pero el niño es salado. Despiértese durante la noche con la boca tan seca. Quizás con menos sal en la comida sería bueno.

¡Ordeno regularmente a Barrow Takeaway, el doble del tiempo de entrega ha superado el tiempo de entrega esperado y tuve que cancelar la comida una vez que se retrasó 2 horas y no se había cocinado!Esta noche pedimos temprano y solicitamos una hora específica para la llegada de nuestros huéspedes. Llegó 45 minutos antes, antes de que llegaran los invitados.La fuente mixta estaba recocida y el plato que siempre pedí estaba cargado con chile, ¡estaba muy caliente para que cualquiera lo comiera! Cuando me puse en contacto con ellos me dijeron que debería haber pedido la versión más suave, se necesitaron varios intentos para explicar que, por lo general, nunca había sido así y que alguien se había ido con los chiles esta noche.Muy frustrante y me ha quitado el pedido nuevamente, lo que es una pena.

Siempre buena comida. . ¡Pero ve a recogerlo! ! Usted esperará más de una hora para que sea entregado y no le informarán esto cuando llame.Su aplicación nunca funciona y el tiempo de espera es ridículo.Otras comidas para llevar chinas en barrow hacen las cosas mucho más rápido.

Loved the food again from here but the lady taking the orders should refrain at shouting (well raised voice really) at the phone ringing. Not a good image imo to customers waiting for food. You would think they would be pleased the phone was ringing.

Order my food and was told it would be delivered at 8:20. It didn’t arrive until 9:00 and unfortunately was no longer on a break so had to leave the food to go cold so couldn’t enjoy it. When ringing the business was told they would be arriving in 5 minutes, and it then took another half an hour.

All six of us enjoyed the food immensely and will be the Chinese of choice for us from now on in Barrow.Salt and pepper chips to die for. Loves the special omelette.

It is always very good and fresh and the cartons are well packed, there is a large menu with some lovely dishes a good selection of ribs and I like their Special fried rice its lovely all the meat is chopped up and not left in big pieces in the top.Delivery is good just be aware of the times and days when it will be busy. you can phone your order a go and collect it or have it delivered but all the staff are pleasant.

Absolutely adore this takeaway never had any faults!! Salt and pepper chicken is always a tasty and tender, fried rice excellent and curry sauce just the right amount of spice for my liking

Ordered the same as per bar 1 item ! All were amazing apart from the satay chicken !! 1st time Ever a dish was lacking in flavour compared 2 their normal high tasting high standard !! Wouldnt stop me from ordering from them though 1st time iv had anything that hasnt been amazing

the prices on the just eat web site are more then the restaurant's own menu but you can claim it back off Just eat directly just look for the price promise page you will need to up load a copy of the menu

Ordered a mixed meat curry this time. Usually the food is good quality, however the sauce tasted funny, like it was stale . Ended up in the bin and I had to settle for a bacon sandwich for dinner.

Salt n pepper chips were the best I've had in ages, same goes for the ribs.

food was nice but a little cold and was delivered 15 minutes earlier than ordered for, it was lucky as I had just made it home! the mixed meat curry was mainly chicken and the odd bits of beef were just the vains, the curry sauce itself was lovely, the wontons were great, the rice was really tasty, the chips only had a coating on them when proper salt and pepper chips have bits of chilli and other things with them, the soup was nice.

Delivered on time, nice and hot, well cooked, ribs were a tad bit salty but overall decent.

Seeet and sour was fine but chicken satay was awful. No spice at all. Dishwater came to mind.

Vegetarian dish was really good... However I'm not sure what was going on with the chicken balls. Seemed not to be cooked. Batter burned on outside, but still wet inside. Chicken not right. Banged in microwave for 5 minutes and then fed to my dog. Sorry guys, not brilliant this time!!

Delivery prices are absolutely ridiculous. Chow mein just tasted like noodles soaked in gravy, salt and pepper chips where half decent.

This was the worst takeaway i have ever had! Ribs not barely cooked, the beef was unchewable, cheap horrible chicken and sticky fried rice and oily noodles. complete waste of money!

Spent over £115 On a food order and still charged £5 for delivery and only free gratis was prawn crackers and a bottle of coke.

Again a very nice meal, Ive never had a bad one from here.

salt and pepper ribs were excellent. The beef in the chow mein was very nice but the noodles were a little mushy. Spring rolls were nice too and topped off with the fastest delivery in the world. Will be ordering from here again. 😊

Was over 40 minutes late of the delivery time and was not worth the wait or money whatsoever. Flavourless, barely warm for what would have been a 2 minute drive from the restaurant and I ended up just binning it. Waste of money.

I rang immediately after placing this order to say I required at 7.15pm not 6.40pm. It's 7.33pm and my order is still not here. The restaurant two minutes ago and advised my order was despatched five minutes ago. No acknowledgement to the fact that that was ten minutes after my delivery time. Not very impressed this evening considering I placed order at 5.35pm. Just arrived

Our food was warmish, chips weren't cooked properly they where quiet hard and delivery felt like it took forever, not impressed most of it has gone in the bin. Merry Christmas

Las costillas a la barbacoa en el fondo salsa tiene básicamente de seguridad con costillas arrojaban. Yo lo llamaría ellos costillas simple. No recomendaría

The so called manager of this establishment was very surly and rude to my son on placing the order. When my husband rang up to complain about a wrong dish that was delivered on our nearly £40 order, she again was incredibly offensive and would not acknowledge that they had got the order wrong and while my husband was cool and calm, she became abusive and put the phone down! I rang back to get the owners number she once again showed her colours and was arrogant and rude. Food not great either! Do not use this amateur, arrogant and substandard take away!!

Lovely food but just too hot. I like spice but my meal was ridiculously hot. It was the salt and pepper chicken pieces. Think the curry sauce was too hot as well but couldn't tell because my mouth was on fire because of the chicken. Ruined the meal really but other than that it's really nice.

Quite possibly the worst chinese Ive ever had. I dont even want to know where the 'beef' came from because it was disgusting. Chow mein was soggy and tasteless. Prawn toast was good though. Salt a pepper chips were ok if you like your mouth being burnt (but thats my personal opinion on heat). Used to be good quality chinese as you pay that bit more but this was disgraceful sorry. Wont be ordering again unless I see somewhere that something has changed.
