Barracuda, Stanmore in Harrow

I knew this place would be good when I saw people having a smoke sesh outside with some espresso. Pollo alla Barracudda was fire and idk what they cooked the carrots in but they were like garlicky and leng. Got a Moretti too which they have on draught. Only mark down in giving them is the potatoes which were a bit dry and undercooked, don’t do potatoes if they’re not your strong suit. Who comes to an Italian restaurant and asks for potatoes? Tbf probs on me for not getting a pasta. Also there was a party going on upstairs and these kids were yelling, which isn’t the restaurant fault but I feel they could do with a bit of music or something for ambience. Anyway ts was banging, if you’re in Stanmore you could do a whole lot worse

Couldn’t get in as didn’t make reservation, tried checking if there was any later time available as I was ready to wait but staff was too busy to talk properly and give any options.

I've been here several times - the perfect meeting place to have coffee, brunch or lunch with friends. The service is always top-notch, the food served quickly and of a very high standard. Portion sizes are commensurate with the pricing. I dropped a star only due to a service charge being added to the bill, which I do not agree with. As an ex-waitress (many years ago) I always appreciate and reward good service and would rather make my own decision on the amount. I would have left more than the service charge, so it's not the money; it's the principle.

Good food, competitive pricing, lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Bit noisy and hard to hear when busy but I look forward to my next visit.

Amazing Breakfast with friends. It's like having a posh breakfast at some fancy hotel but for standard prices most can afford. Orange juice fresh and breakfast served hot is a nice start to the day.

Our table of four had the fixed price lunch menu, upstairs at the Stanmore restaurant. The food was very plentiful and of excellent quality. Every table was taken, and the industrious waiting staff coped very well. Amazing value for money! We'll be back!

I enjoyed a fresh tomato, halloumi & avocado salad for lunch which was welcome on a very hot day.

Very good food and lovely team of waiters at this buzzing restaurant. Everything we ordered looked good and the portions are generous. The calf liver dish was a bit slimey so not as nice as it could have been. The tuna steak was far too salty so again, could have been a lot tastier. Would go again and order other dishes as overall it is a good place for a meal out.

The restaurant has a takeaway service but not for teas @2.50 the man behind the counter because I ask for cup holder which I have had before he made me feel that he did not want the buisness

We have always visited this place as we live in stanmore , the portion size they provide, the quality of the fooa and taste is awesome . You can always go here with your friends and family , haven’t tried their breakfast yet but lunch is superb ❤️

Came in for a quiet breakfast and read my paper but music was too loud and inappropriate. Loud chatter between staff was annoying. Food very average.

Very tasty food, very friendly. Due to a translation error, our daughter had a different pizza than she wanted. Even though it was our mistake and she would have taken the toppings off the pizza and eaten them, the operator insisted and quickly made our daughter another pizza. Extremely accommodating. Thanks for that.

I decided to eat in, and see what Barracuda was like. I bought the egg benedict breakfast. It was nice. Well cooked. And had no complaints about the food. Service was quick even tho I went during a busy period. And the cost was average for the local area.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years and the food the service is amazing- the food is consistently good- huge portions hot and really yummy. Dina our waitress is full of smiles and very efficient- if you haven’t been before put it on your list you won’t be disappointed

Great place and good, range of food from full breakfast to Steak and chips. Good choices and always very busy so would recommend booking. Parking is metered and all depends if you can find an empty space.

We went for a new years eve dinner. Was busy but not too busy. A bit to hot inside. Nice upstairs area. We asked for different table and was not a problem as some tables are tight. Friendly Staff. Nice food quite big portions ! I will go again for sure.

Restaurant has a group floor area and an upstairs. Great decor and ambience. Love the feel.The staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Never had to call the staff for anything. Good vegetarian options. We ordered cannelloni, which was perfect and also mezana, which was an aubergine cheese type dish, which was quite salty and very cheesy. My husband enjoyed his Linguine De Mar, which was a fair portion and enough to take home. Would go back for sure.

Had a family meal here, ages ranged from 8-88. Everyone was easily catered for. Food was excellent and very good portions. Service was impeccable. The restaurant had a great vibe and was fairly busy. We visited on a Saturday evening and pre booked.

Great food, cheap price and lovely stuff!

Having been here several times before for food and really enjoying it, I was very disappointed and shocked by the interaction I had today with the waitresses. Myself and my friend arrived around lunchtime with our babies and 2 pushchairs. It was quite busy when we got there so we went in to see if there would be room for us. A customer sitting near the entrance held the door for us as we came in and I quickly had a scan of the restaurant to see if there would be space. I could see there was some room for us near the bar/till area if a few chairs were moved. I looked over at one waitress who was on the other side of the room to initiate a conversation hoping she would come over so I wouldn’t have to raise my voice over the people eating. She made no effort to come and speak to us and instead began shaking her head at me. I gestured towards the space I could see to which she then looked at another waitress who too began shaking her head at us. At no point did they come and speak to us but instead made us feel very awkward and embarrassed as we stood in the doorway feeling extremely unwelcome. As we went to leave, the same customer who held the door for us asked us why we were leaving and when we told him he said that was ridiculous as there was room. I was shocked at the lack of basic interaction from them and left. Luckily, we found a lovely cafe down the road who welcomed us in despite it too being busy. If they genuinely were not able to accommodate us then a simple polite conversation would have been appreciated. I will not be bringing my custom here again.

My second time being there, food is really good, large portion sizes. The issue is with the waitresses, some are rude and think they are better than everyone. Very cold and unwelcoming specially if you point out something wrong with the order or bill. The manager was lovely at sorting out the issues though, but he really needs to assess the kind of staff he hires. The disrespect that one waitress had in particular was outrageous (blonde/brown hair, glasses, slim fit). She acted like she owned the place and still had the audacity to ask for service charge after a terrible attitude. Would be a lovely place to come often if the staff were nice. Needs better customer service. It's a shame really.

First time dining here, and very pleased we did. Quality eatery with good, fast, friendly service. Portion size, in particular are large, and I love that! We had the evening Al a cart menu and for the food served, pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant, and we'll be returning soon. More yummy food served on our return to this restaurant today.

Had a fabulous time celebrating my sons birthday which started off with a brunch at Barracuda, as always the staff are friendly and always serve with a smile, tasty food with big portions and the atmosphere is great. Management were great when they found out we were there for a birthday, didn’t waste time in bringing a Prosecco to toast the birthday. Highly recommended the place which also has a great and varied menu.

Decent Mediterranean fare in a busy Stanmore based restaurant. Attentive staff and a tasty veggie lasagna. Decent decor but the toilets could use some freshening up.

Nice italian restaurant. I had linguine ai frutti di mare.the portion is extremely big, even for an Italian. I gave 4 stars because I think it could have been a bit better in taste. I'm not sure if the fish is fresh (I should have asked). My wife had the lamb shank. She was very happy. Deserts are homemade and very nice. Was expecting a limoncello from the staff, but that didn't happen. It's worth trying this restaurant out.

Freshly made breakfast....had avocado toast with a full vegetarian breakfast. They let us swap the eggs for hash browns. The smoothie the green one was very delicious and satisfying 😌 Great quality food and pronto service 👌

Need better quality bread.... Soggy, as only lightly toasted, white bread. Apple crumble had hardly any crumble.

An absolute little gem of a place. Make sure you turn up hungry though as portions are huge regardless if it's lunch or dinner. Excellent selection on the menu and very good food for good value for money as well as great service

As previously indicated, my companion and I revisited this venue again and as before the experience lived up to that we enjoyed during our first visit. Being the day that it was, the management had provided floating heart shaped balloons and upon our departure my companion was gifted with a large red rose. Just for the record if you are a sweet lover try their apple tart ensemble - it is delicious. I am sure that I will be back there again soon.

Barracuda is a very popular restaurant in Stanmore Broadway. The service is excellent, with seating outside as well.

Excellent cuisine. The pizza is superb, especially the Calzone. Pasta and food in general are at a very high level. The chef worked in Italy many years and knows how to do his job. Staff are very polite. The environment is cosy, intimate and make you feel comfortable. Absolutely highly recommended. I've eaten there several times and they always treated me, including offering limoncello!!!

Booked a table of 15 @Barracuda (Stanmore) to start the day to celebrate my daughters 18th bday with a hearty breakfast. Was not disappointed. Service on point and the quality of the breakfast was superb. All the guests were pleased with the quality of the food received. Thank you. (And thank you for the bottle of pop you gave my daughter at the end for her bday.....a very nice gesture)

Was going to come for breakfast today because your restaurant is probably the best for miles but my son pointed out that you don’t have Heinz tomato ketchup so we had to go elsewhere! Just a very small detail I know but to keep the kids happy we had to venture out somewhere else. Sorry 😞
