Best pizza around , I drive in from East Lothian and it’s worth it

Staying in the Premier Inn and found the Barracuda across the road.Got a donner hoagie was not not disappointed.Great tasty food and selection going back tonight and will be my one stop shop 👍

Ordered food for delivery.wasnt very warm on arrival. Fish was mostly batter and what fish was there was dried up. Is there a decent chip shop out there at all.

Just had a delivery which was cold and inedible.staff unhelpful and did not believe us when we phoned to complain.will definitely not use again.

Pretty good Fish 'n Chip shop with Pizza Oven. Fish always cooked fresh, and not lying around in the warmer for ages. Pizzas are pretty good too

This used to be the best chippy in the local area. Not sure what has gone wrong I don't know if the Italian owners have sold out. Got 2 fish suppers last night they were the worst we have ever had, terrible. Used to get a good portion of chips only half now. An absolute disgrace and waste of money most went in bucket. Will take my custom elsewhere in future

Very disappointing chip shop, always issues with the food, just got a deep fried pizza supper it was disgusting, called the shop was told it’s a new batch in how the hell can they serve something with no flavour at all, the other day I got chips and they were over fried or maybe the oil was dirty as the as the chips were very dark and so hard, don’t take me wrong as there’s been times when the food has been excellent quality, but I think the shop is just going downhill in quality, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there, try somewhere else if you can, sorry! 😞

I chanced upon this takeaway whilst staying in the Premier Inn in Duddingston, Edinburgh. It is situated just across the road from the hotel and very convenient for a nip across for food. I only had the fish and chips (On two successive nights) but can honestly say that I watched the different meals being boxed-up for deliveries and it is great value for money as well as being very reasonably priced. Foods include most of the usual takeaway meals, such as: Fish & Chips; pasta; kebabs; etc.. This family-run business is fast, efficient, clean and service is with a big smile. Hours: Tues-Sun 4pm-11pm last orders for delivery/collection: 10.45pm

I ordered from just eat, order was late so phoned shop, apologetic & assured me food would be hot when it arrived. Got my order, chicken hoggie which was was warm & soggy, ordered extra garlic sauce which was really runny, ordered chips which were soggy & warm. On the plus side big portions & if it had been hot & fresh it would have been nice. Not worth the hour & forty minutes wait. Won't be ordering again.

Food is always amazing 😊 but I have seen other reviews that have said they have had freebies because they are a regular customer. I buy atleast 2 chippys a week and have been a regular for ages and have never had a freebie.

Great consistent quality for the right price. Real, tasty, handmade italian Pizza, great fish and chips, tried many different products and never ever disappointed. Great job!

Spotlessly clean chippie that we used as guests of the local Premier Inn when they couldn’t take us in their restaurant. Went for a doner hoggie, haggis fritters, small fish, smoked sausage and chips. All perfectly cooked, non greasy and really tasty. An excellent wee place!

They have a wonderful taste as i tried their pizza. It was wonderful.

Next to our flat, three years that we can enjoy their food. The shop is absolutely clean, the food is fresh and tasty, staff nice and lovely. We could't ask for a better shop next to us!

Best chippy this side of Edinburgh. Their hoagies are to die for. We order from them quite a lot and always get a wee surprise in with our order. We have had a 2l bottle of juice, garlic bread, chicken wings, all extra that we didn't order. We called them one time about the extra food and they said it was a thank you for being regular customers. Result!!

Just about the best place in Edinburgh! Lovely pepole, delicious food, everything fast, perfect and for a reasonable price. Love that place and looking forward to visiting again once I'm back in Edinburgh :)

Home delivery not as good as getting it fresh

Just got single sausage and hamburger supper both the sausage and hamburgers were lukewarm I live 2mins away not been to this chippy in yrs and thought I would give it another try I definitely will not be back the hamburgers were very soggy and tasted disgusting and the sausages were just as bad

Just returned from Edinburgh. Ate here 3 times and the chips are some of the best I've tasted. Pizzas are superb too.

Always use the barracuda and the food is normally really nice always hot and fresh,i often ordered the shish kebab which was lovely,could not get one for a while something to do with the suppliers I think,when i did manage to get one a couple of weeks ago the meat was absolutely disgusting,definitely not lamb,I could not eat it even although I was starving,sorry but never again,I was nearly sick

Been using Barracuda for a number of years , normally get pizza and/or pasta and always delivered when they say hot and really tasty. Tonight I fancied something different so went for chicken kebab , my new favourite absolutely delicious. Thanks guys.

OK, only ordered two suppers, advised time 45 minutes, arrived just under 30. Quality, pretty good, still very hot, no complaints. First online order, will use again. 5pm on a Saturday. Well done.

Normally always happy, got a chicken wrap tonight to get home and discover it wrapped with actually half cooked pizza dough

If i could give no stars i would. I ordered a delivery 10 minutes away from the takaway it took 1 and a half hours to get to me. The pizza was stone cold. The kabab was full of grease it couldnt be eaten. The chips had a small stone in them and i nearly choked. I rang the takaway and complained to someone i was told was the manager who started shouting at me calling me a english b and then threatning to come and pour food over my head.

i ordered from here at 18.20pm phoned to ask where delivery was at 19.10pm to be told it was on way.Well it didnt get delivered till 20.00pm and was cold no apology absolute joke wont be phoning them again.

don’t think I’ve ever had a worse pizza than what I received tonight, I’ve only given it the one star because that’s the lowest you can go. Arrived an hour and a half late and freezing and was more like cold cheese on toast than anything else with what appeared to be cheaper slapped on top, only half cooked and not a bit of tomato. Shame really as any other time I’ve used this place it’s been pretty good especially the fish but the pizza isn’t even fit for a prison meal. Wouldny recommend

This place was recommended to us by many people and we eventually took the plunge and ordered food and they were not wrong the kebabs especially were fantastic and the amount of the food was unbelievable would recommend people to try this place

Best chippy there is. Been going here since I was a primary school kid. Good at sending you offers via txt. Service is spot on. There is always a wait so beware however the wait is worth the you. Well done to everyone at Barracuda.

Owners defiantly need to go on a customer service course! I ordered 2kebabs with chips with salad seperate, basically got kebab meat and chips with salad (lettuce & onions only) on top wilted! Phoned to say missing pita part as this has happened many times before got order wrong or forgot to send part of it! Young boy who took my order said no that’s what I ordered and that was it passed me across to male who told me the same! So being a loyal weekly customer has no baring as he told me no sorry, when I said that’s ok I’ll go elsewhere in future is said ok! So not worried about shedding customers! And to be fair never has been anywhere near good as when previous owners had it! St.Andrews Portobello here we come, heard they are really good!

My girlfriend and I have ordered from here a couple of times and enjoyed it, we aren’t huge takeout fiends but this was fast becoming our go to because of a specific pizza that they do. We ordered on Tuesday evening and weren’t particularly happy about the quality of the ice cream we received, she called back today to let them know and was basically told her complaint wasn’t valid as it had been more than 24 hours (it had been 24 hours and 20 minutes...) they weren’t at fault and that my freezer must have been to blame for the poor quality. For such a trivial matter it’s shame they have now lost us and any friends etc that we may have recommended, as a restaurateur I find the entire thing bizarre.

Ordered a calzone and it was huge with a ton of meat inside. Had to wait quite a bit for it, but worth the price.

Ordered fish and chips and single black pudding. The fish was not haddock and was tasteless and the black pudding was dry hard and tasteless too. Very disappointed as this used to be the best place for fish and chips. Won't be back.
