My Local Kebab, Excellent food and service, Owner really understands customer retention. 5 stars from me.

Ordered on Ubereats, their Delivery time is set on 15 minutes but after they accept the order, the time increases. You can't monitor the delivery as they personally deliver food to you. When you call to try to understand, the guy just says that the time doesn't depend on them and tries to cut the conversation. Wrong: as a restaurant you can set your own delivery time. Anyway, waited more than one hour for one item and it wasn't even that good. Rice was to cook that seemed like eating mashed potatoes. To avoid.

staff very rude , and i could tell they were slagging me off, tried to overcharge me until i questioned it

My Husband and I have been eating here for the last 6 years and have never been disappointed. My husband is a very fussy eater and when he's feeling unwell a portion of their chips always helps to make him feel better. The staff are awesome and so very friendly. Food is always hot and of good quality. Their chilli sauce is home made and absolutely amazing. Wont use any other Kebab shop. Best food and service EVER. Great job guys xXx

I recently visited the kebab shop, and it exceeded my expectations! The flavors were fantastic, the meat was perfectly grilled, and the variety of sauces added a delightful touch. The friendly staff and quick service made the experience even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be returning for more delicious kebabs!

I can’t help eating whenever I am around the shop and see those fabulous kebabs . It smells amazing and tastes brilliant. I recommend testing chili sauce if you are in fan of spicy 🌶️ Friendly staff 👍

Used to be great but this place has gone rapidly downhill. The quality isn't terrible, it's just not great. Much better options within walking distance. Unlikely to come back again.

It's sad to see this place go downhill since I've been ordering from this place for YEARS! But the quality of food has gone down and as u can see I TRIED them again but it was toe nails quality. Chicken in the burger was hard, dry and chips were just not much. Shame.

Waited well over an hour for food to arrive called the venue after waiting for so long only to be met with attitude and rudeness. Food eventually turned up the lamb doner was cold and chewy and was so rubbery you could rub out pencil with it. Chips were soggy and seemed only half cooked. The burger was over cooked and i could swear you could bounce it up and down on the plate with a spatula the cheese you had to approach wearing a hazmat chemical suit and the burger bun was so soggy it was like it had been underwater for a while. And the chicken nuggets were just batter and a slither of chicken and were cooked so hard they would break your teeth as you bit into them. I will never order from here ever again because the food was as shockingly bad as the customer service on the phone and with attitude like that i could see this place imploding like the titan submarine. That reminds me next time il order 5 guys.

Over hour and half late. Food was cold. Couldn't even eat it. Meat Tasted undercooked, chips were soggy, nuggets had barely any meat in and to much batter which was rock hard and the burger was cold and bun was soggy

I used to be a regular here, but the accompanying salad with a kebab is now less than half of what it used to be. The small chicken donner kebab is still a very good portion and enough meat for two people. They are very generous with the great garlic sauce or chilli sauces.

The worst kebabs 🤢 all went in the bin, absolutely disgusting,under cooked meat full of weird watery mint sauce on top (was supposed to be garlic sauce) soggy old chips- all black , old nuggets for kids ,wouldn't even give it my dog 🐶 was better off eating beans on toast ...never ordering from here again, first and last time

Got food poisoning from Barnet Star. I ordered food at around 10PM I guess you shouldn’t order food from there at the end of the day.

I'm surprised their still open, gone downhill so much, they wont even fix the smashed window on the front of the shop. Imagine how many customers walk away, shocking food, shocking service, such a shame as they use to be my regular. ZERO STARS!

Ordered Barnet Special £16 on thier website. Food arrived on time,opened the bag to find the foil tray wasn't closed properly. Disappointing to see 1 burnt lamb chop. 1 piece of chicken shish ( size of a dice ) 2 over cooked lamb shish,lots of lamb donor which I didnt consume just looking at it,all of this on top of chips and the cheapest clumpy old rice. Chilli sauce watery ( hint its old ) Driver charged me £18 when site says £16. Gave £2 tip as its not his fault. Will never order here again. Would give a zero!!

I’m pregnant me and my husband ordered iskender x2 and asked for extra source. It was beautifully cooked & fresh and taste was delicious and fresh I would highly recommend

Thought I'd better leave a review now incase I die of poisoning tomorrow! Most disgusting place ever! Ordered wings with rice and pitta.. when I opened the box the smell alone could have knocked someone out! The wings were grey, the most horrific smell was on all of the food including the pitta.. it was clearly off! Not even a rat would eat it! Avoid this place at all costs unless you want food poisoning! They need reporting!!

I paid three pounds for medium chips (the same size as a small portion) that had a microwaved slab of cheese on top. When the man gave it to me it was hot and I nearly burnt myself as the box was not heat proof and even the inside of the box had bits of melted lines.

3.10 £ a cheese chips CMON how much would cost a chicken combo then with drink 40£ 😩 your shop its dirty as hell and your price bumpily ridiculous, robbing people moneys close the shop and set on fire

I ordered last night dinner for my family, we ordered large lamb shish and large chichen shish, we couldn't believe the small amount of food that we got. For a large chichen or lamb shish we got like 5 or 6 small pieces, when we finish eating we were still hungry. The food was good and delivery was OK but we are not ordering again as we were really disappointed with the portion size

Wouldn't give it a star. Well never go back again. Food is awful. Since it was taken over by the new people.

The fried chicken was inedible and had the taste of a wet newspaper. The lamb shish was over cooked and rubbery and chicken doner as bad. Very disappointed!

I've eaten from Barnet Star many times. Occasionally I've been disappointed but tonight our meal was superb. It's was a complicated order with 5 people to take into account, all of whom like their orders 'just so'. The order was taken efficiently and with humour. When the food arrived they hadn't missed a single trick in my insane family's needs. Delicious.

Ordered a takeaway nothing wrong with the food except very late 3rd time out of 4 got the order completely wrong if you can't understand English don't answer the phone been going there 19 year's never again absolute idiot's

This place is one of the best kebab places I’ve been too. Food is excellent and so was the nice staff. I am happy I dropped by this place and will do so more often now. I highly recommended👌

I had orderd food at around 7-7:30pm to be delivard around for 8:15pm-9:00pm, ordered was placed in advance on ubereats , i rang multiple times to find where my order was, by this time it was 9:30 i received a very rude reply from the manager stating the driver has delivard the food & its your job to find it, i rang again 3 time to find where has my food been left which the establishment had lied about, the driver had NOT delivard the food at Chase Farm Hospital in the main entrance, i made a call after the order was place, and they were given instruction where to come, food order was to be placed at chase farm hospital inside main entrance at the reception & the nurses were also notified the food delivary is expected, there had been no delivary been made & no help from the establishment, they can require cct footage from the hospital that NO food delivary was left with the security nor in the main entrance, now im here in my ward with no food to eat nearly 16 hours as i had been in a major operation and i fancied some mix kebab which cost me £16, now i paid for the food and no delivary been made, i rang the establishment and the manager said he can't help & its not his problem, where the food is, thats the most discusting customer service ive come across, and his English was very rude, i will NO longer use this establishment, i recommend customers to use dilbar in high barnet, or potters bar mangal Village, or the best kebab in the world ive had is fish and chip shop in potters bar, i garantee you will not be dissapointed, i recommend you ordering mix kebab,

Been going to these guys for years and it's only gotten better. The staff are always so polite & friendly and I have never been made to feel uncomfortable like I have in a lot of other Kebab shops around. These guys are excellent, professional & the food is always perfect & hot!!. Large mixed shish for £8.50 with rice, bread, salad & Sauce? Can't beat that anywhere else!

Placed an order via Just Eat. Driver called to say he couldn’t find the address then refused to come back so we had to walk to him. His attitude was disgusting and ruined the meal. Called to complain, manager sided with driver after speaking to him in Turkish. Will never order from there again. Shocking.

Seems to have a change of management in late 2019. The quality has dropped tremendously since.

If it was possible I would give this one zero stars. We just ordered a Barnet star special and firstly they delivered the wrong order. While on the phone to them they did not even apologise for that but they started blaming the delivery guy 🤦🏻‍♀️. After 50 min we did receive the correct order and let me say it was absolutely disgusting. The meat was smelly, just 4 pieces of chicken. The worst food ever we ended up bin it, all of it. Best Kebab Ever!! After swapping from many other kebab shops that often got my order wrong. Also the kebabs & food are perfectly cooked & not over cooked/burnt. Highly recommend

Guys are decent, food is always spot on and the prices are fair. What more can you want really? I have used them a few times now and neither me nor anyone I know has ever left hungry or disappointed.

I've read mixed reviews but honestly don't know what the issue is! They have always been decent to me in there and I've never once had an issue with the food, portion is great, price is about right (although they have just gone up a little) and anyone I've ever taken there has always said the same. All in all a great kebab for a fair price, what more do you want???

Very Kind service, and place is very clean. You can use debit/credit card here. There is no place to secure the bike nearby. Kebab was pretty tasty and fresh. No toilet avaiable. Can be recommended with a clear conscience if you looking for fast or take away meal.

Just ordered a lamb doner and a pepperoni pizza. £17.80 and the worst kebab shop food ever! Opened the kebab to all the correct sauce and salad- but a naan bread just thrown on top! I expected the bread to hold the food as the menu described, and as received elsewhere over the last thirty years of my kebab-eating life! This was like a supermarket microwave heated bread! my boyfriend never turns down food after a drunk- but after one bite he stated his pizza was disgusting! I knew it must be bad but decided to double-check- that must have been the cheapest, worst cheese ever to put on a pizza! Why do this management?! We, and many others I'm sure, will never come back!!!! The star belongs to the delivery guy who was very polite and friendy!

Lots of time we order chicken kebab with chips from here, best taste, fresh and all the time when we order the delivery coming in 20 minutes. If I need to order some food I always order from here..

Worst food ever. Disgusted with what turned up. Kofte looked like a lump of sh*t dry lamb shish burnt hard. Asked for no onions as allergic. Food came with it. Never order again. WILL STICK TO GOLDEN PALACE

Used to order from here all the time, never know what yours gonna get from one day to the next. Generally the food isn't all that good and to be fair they have missed out basic things like drinks, sources even the pitta! I woudln't recommend it here. Not eve if your desperate and there are no other places around! Thank goodness there are many much better alternatives so use them! Don't come here.

Awful food chips tasted like warm ups and the chicken on the chicken kebab was the worst I have ever tasted, looked like pulled chicken rather than skewered chicken you would expect with a kebab and it tasted like it had came from the rubbish bin so that's exactly where it's been put! Big mistake do not order waste of money!

The lamb kebab was nice, the wife ordered kofte wrap which was decent as well, however ordered salad without onions and got a whole load of onions. Please check the notes on order next time. The fries were not nice at all, they wasn’t fresh seemed like they were cooked a couple of times in old oil, Should have made the fries at home myself as I ended up doing that in the end instead of ordering as they were for kids and not going to have my kids eat fries that seemed old and immensely greasy as they were left at the bottom of the kebab which made them taste a lot worse, put the fries in a separate box.

hadn’t been here for a while but thought we’d give it another try. sadly disappointing, kebab tough as old boots but nice flavour, chips lukewarm and soggy. not sure why we bothered. unlikely to consider again.

Super yummy if you enjoy having hair in your food. I just ordered chicken wings and every piece had hair cooked into it. Long pieces too. I can maybe excuse one but like come on, your cooks should be required to wear their hair up. Needless to say I've lost my appetite and will never order from here again.

A looot of onion and not that much salad (a couple of bits of cucumber and tomato). It was good, but it could have been much better. Food arrived 35 mins earlier than expected, meaning that it had to wait until we finished the little one bedtime routine. wasn't cold... but wasn't warn either. I didn't receive any notification around my order (e.g. food on it's way) which might have allowed us to change our plans. Instead we got the doorbell ringing way too early.
