Great quality take away and delivered in good time too. Nice fresh flavours and great Naan bread.

Just had a takeaway from Bar Hill Spice and the food was so so tasty. Local gem. Food was hot and the portion was more than enough. I had a Chicken Dansak and my friend had Tikka Masala and some garlic naan breads accompanied us. Breads were soft too. And the service was on a top level as well. Will definitely order again.

Was delivering in the area, could smell the food and I decided to get a chicken dhansak and rice, the taste was amazing, the service I received was also excellent, even accommodated me as I was a little short on time, highly recommended and look forward to popping in again when in the area. Keep up the great work and thank you again.

Amazing food and very very flavoured. The staff is very friendly. I do recommending Bar Hill Spice Andrei M Food Critic (private) P.S hope to meet the Bar Hill Spice another day as I'm travelling around UK at all the time. A Food Critic have to criticise something all the time 😁. The rice should have more meat into it.

I’m stunned there are so many negative reviews. We’ve ordered from here quite a few times and the food is always really good. The staff are always nice and friendly. I ordered food at about 6pm on Friday,collected it at 6.35pm and it was all perfect. I’ve had no bad experiences here at all. Thank you everyone at Bar Hill Spice for the brilliant food and wonderful service

Without exageration the worst Indian takeaway I've ever ordered. Very small curry portion. Sauce watery. 4 pieces of chewy cheap chicken in the whole dish. Food barely warm, and took 90 minutes to arrive. Naan bread was good, but not enough to save a really poor order. Wouldn't go back.

Arranged a collection, they called us to say it was ready early. Turned up, nobody around, went to the end of the counter, saw three guys looking at their phones in the kitchen, loud music playing. Had to shout "hello" three times before anyone came to serve me. Took food away, they called to say they had forgotten the rice, gave them the address they said they would drop it off (we live 2 minutes away). 15 minutes later, they called asking for the post code again. 10 minutes alter they called again asking for the postcode and a "road nearby" (they have our address on their system, we've ordered many times before). 5 minutes later they called again, we had to tell them how to find our road from where they were. We called the number and asked for a refund on the rice for the inconvenience (30 minute wait and 3 phone calls after we originally collected the food. We received yet anther phone call back, presumably from the manager, who said if we want a refund he will come and collect the food back from us! Told him where to go. Awful service, incompetent and just plain rude. The food was always just okay, made up for by the local location, but they have lost us as customers.

Food was just average and not very hot. One item was missing, I politely requested a refund, my request ignored.

Poor quality food. 4 pieces of chicken in Chicken Biryani, veg curry was no more than 4 tablespoons and very bland. Cost of this with a Nan bread was £17. Definitely not worth it.

The food here is not good at all. The curries were watered down all except one. The dansak which states should be sweet didn't have any sugar in it at all. It was all so bland. It doesn't hurt to season food. Salt isn't expensive. Maybe try tasting it before sending it to paying customers, as any chef should do. We won't be returning. Which is a shame because the village needs a good takeaway. I'm not too sure who all the positive reviews came from. Not too sure if they're legitimate, unless this was a good takeaway before and they lost their chef. I'm not so sure.

Regular orderer on just eat, now I've earnt enough stamps to claim free meal they have suddenly stopped participating which is not very fair is it.... lost me as a customer don't like these tricks.

Ordered by telephone as JustEat wouldn’t accept cash (was also more expensive to order over phone) so ordered at 6:55 didn’t receive until 8:30pm after being told 1 hour. Driver called at 7:35pm asking where I lived as was in a completely different village. Apparently numbers and addresses got mixed up. Rang restaurant at 8pm regarding the call and they said that wasn’t my order and they were arranging ours now (even though it’d been an hour already). Hour and half from ordering and received food, food was surprisingly hot but the most blandest food I’ve ever tasted. £30 for a watered down chicken tikka masala, chicken was so flavourless and dry, Peshawari Naan and Plain naan were ok, plain naan was burnt which added the flavour (the only flavour I could taste). Won’t be ordering again.

Ordered takeaway for delivery. After placing order I found out that it would take 70 minutes. In reality it took 100 minutes. Phoned four times before anyone answered the phone. Ordered a kids fish fingers, received chicken nuggets with so much salt it was inedible.

Ordred via Just Eat. Food arrived on time, but not all was delivered... We called to let them know, they said they would send somone to bring what we did not get. They even knew they forgot items when we called. After 50 min, we had to call again. It was like they had no idea and we had to explain all again. Talking to the head chef he said they were too busy and was raising his voice at us. Is this really how you treat your customers!? You have good reviews and food is good, so why ruin it with customer service.

Food arrived on time although when we unpacked we noticed that two items were missing and one dish was provided as a starter instead of the full meal as ordered. I have called the restaurant and the person who I spoke to seems to be aware of that and confirmed that all will be delivered within 15-20min max. After 50 min I called back and I had to provide all the information again. I had a chef coming to the phone who shouted at me saying "We are too busy to come again". Very negative experience which ruined after the holiday night.

Food is excellent, service is excellent, everything is excellent. Ordered from Bar Hill Spice for a friends and family takeaway night and we all thoroughly enjoyed all items we ordered but the Tandoori Chicken stole the show. So much so we’ve had it twice this week already. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious Indian cuisine.

Came in on a Sunday early evening. Food was great service was very polite. And what I would call Very reasonable prices.

It’s a take away. Food is not bad so ok ok. I am talking in terms of authentic Indian flavours which are difficult to find in restaurants, it will be a 3. But still ok There is parking space nearby and Tesco supermarket is also close. It’s mostly a take away.

Ordered Tandoori Mixed Grill from Uber eats, waited for 1.5h to get it. Tried calling the store but they didn’t even have the ability to contact the driver and respond back properly. Fairly speaking, the food was ok but not comforting enough.

I have ordered from Bar Hill Spice many times the food and delivery has always been really good! Unfortunately tonight I ordered a takeaway, delivered on time but the food was cold, 1 item was forgotten which was delivered about 20 minutes later. Maybe a different Chef? C'mon guy's don't let your standards slip, previous takeaways have always been top notch!

Waited 2 hours to hear the drivers stuck and my food isn’t on the way, i’m writting this review at 2.5 hour waiting time - we live 10 minutes down the road, unacceptable.

Disappointed. Far too oily, particularly the jalfrezi and the shaslik :( Was told the wait was 45-60 mins but took 75mins. Ordered two peshwari and one plain naan, recieved 3 peshwari :( Tried to charge more than the bill, over and above the original price plus a tip. Sides were good. Hopefully was just an off night and they will take the feedback as constructive.

Weird location and my curry was runny and poorly flavoured

Our most recent order was possibly the best Indian food we’ve ever had. Bar Hill Spice Special Mix Biriyani - absolutely fabulous, my favorite dish Lamb Korma - delicious Peshawari Naan - fantastic Bar Hill Spice Special Rice - amazing We’ve had a few ups and downs with them over the last couple months but they’ve gone above and beyond with this last order. Highly recommend!

Poor quality food. I only could eat a few bites and it tasted off and sour. Honestly the worse curry I have had. Bread tasted chevy and old, meat tasted old. Even rice tasted old. The place i awful. When I picked it up I saw someone steering a big pot on the floor which was odd. (with an electric drill) I will be rep this place to the Environmental agency for an audit. I would avoid this place if your looking for a nice bitw

Ordered a Hyderbadi Dhal Gosht, give them thier due, tasty and full off flavour. Only let down was the portion size, the container was half full? With only 5 pieces of lamb, when your paying £15 for the meal,especially £2.50 for a chapati and that's with the discount, you expect something a bit more substantial. We're all feeling the pinch with the rise in the cost of living. Come on lads, sort yourselfs out

Oh dear. Have you changed chef? Very disappointed with our order today. You seem to have stopped the chicken tikka biriani and the dish is now bland. The vegetable curry was so watery it was like soup. The chicken shashlik was so dry it was inedible. On a previous occasion my mother said it was the best she had eaten. Sadly not this time. Very disappointed

Huge dissapointment on a Saturday evening. I collected my order, but once at home we found it unfortunately was all wrong. One naan bread was missing, one dish was chicken instead of lamb we have ordered, and there was no poppadoms. I was charged for the missing items. Food itself was OK, nothing special.

Absolutely shocking charged me twice for my fries no meat in the mixed grill wich was priced at £12:50 was then charged £4 for my sauce And told "that's what WE charge pal!!!!" The whole meal for 1 cost me £18:90 +£2:65 for fries nearly £22 for a meal for 1 And the chips came 30 mins late shocking customer service.order at your own risk. Disgusting food terrible customer service shocking prices and really bad attitude NEVER USE THESE FOOLS

DO NOT order from JustEat, requests were ignored & doesn't justify the menu & variety they have there. Call them. But overall good food & pleasant welcome by staff upon collection, will definitely be ordering from here again. Keep up the good work Bar Hill Spice.

Really super food, used twice recently, generous portion size, spot on delivery times. Had starters mains rice & breads. Every item very tasty & of top quality.

This takeaway was recommended to us by a friend, so we placed a family order. Everybody said how much they enjoyed the food - tasty and well spiced without excessive heat, really nice pilau rice and naan - well packaged in a branded strong paper bag, delivered promptly - will be ordering again.

Ordered for the first time, the food was ok, but unfortunately bar hill spice missed not one but two rice dishes! Food was delivered slightly later than expected, called them about the rice, they wouldn’t deliver rice to me, offered a free main meal next time I ordered, I won’t be ordering again! So lost money! Wasn’t even offered a refund! UPDATE Bar hill spice have since refunded me, and enjoyed a nice meal from here. Thanks :)

had an encounter with Completely Dishonest and Not trust worthy staff, which made me have a second thought on the nature of service, but the owner called me back and assured the service I have got in the past, really appreciate the effort and the extra mile he has gone to address the issue.

Got food from here the first time recently and now it’s our go to Indian takeaway. It’s so much more affordable compared to other places in the area and the food is just as good if not even better. The food is always piping hot by the time it gets to our house and always has the right balance of flavours. However, when we first went we picked up our food to being home and they slightly messed up our order but within 5 mins they had sorted everything out. Would definitely recommend to everyone in the local area as the food is so so good and so reasonable too!!

Just had my first takeaway from Bar Hill Spice. Everybody really enjoyed the food. The food was delivered as expected and exactly on time. Absolutely nothing to moan about. Good food good service. Will be using again 👍

We decided to place our order online through JustEat on a Tuesday where we received 20% off which was a nice surprise but in hindsight we should have looked at a proper menu to see ALL of what was on offer. This being a new restaurant we wanted to make sure we tried all the usual side dishes to review and, well, for a feast! We were unsure what to expect since the restaurant was within the first couple of weeks of opening. It is also listed as gourmet indian cuisine so we were not sure how it would compare to the usual indian food we have had elsewhere. We ordered a lamb tikka massala, pilau rice, bombay aloo (as a main), steamed basmati rice, two starter platters consisting of two "magic" potatoes, a vegetable samosa, and onion bhaji. Two garlic naans, a peshwari naan, 3 papadams, one regular chips, one masala chips, and a childs meal consisting of steamed rice and chicken korma. When looking through the menu on Just Eat I was a little disappointed to notice that they only did a "regular" curry along with Biriyanis... however when comparing this to their flyer it does state that they do other curries (i.e Dupiaza, Bhuna, Madras, etc) but sadly I didn't know this at the time of ordering since from the JustEat presentation of the menu it would appear it was A LOT smaller than is on the flyer; if I had known of the other options we would have also ordered a Madras, Jalfezi, and Balti. So now knowing this there will be a part 2 of this review to come! The meal arrived in the allotted time (40 mins to cook and deliver to Willingham). The driver was lovely and polite, he notified us of a broken handle to the bag so to take care - this was done from distance in keeping with lockdown. I did snap a picture before we all tucked in so you can get an idea of the dishes and presentation on arrival. The pilau rice is different to others, this had fresh ingredients and onion. Still lovely and tasteful, if not better than usual but still to be noted if you are hoping for something else. The lamb tikka masala was thankfully not a scary pink colour or sickly sweet, it was very tasteful and had flavour. The childs chicken korma does need a mention; as someone who is not a korma fan, or a chicken fan - this was delicious! The sauce was lovely and you could taste the flavours but it wasn't too sweet, you could also taste coconut as opposed to sugar which was so refreshing. My daughter ate all of her meal! The bombay aloo is my go-to dish when I don't know what to have; it's also a really good dish for me to get an idea of how good a place is for seasoning. The sauce was lovely, but it could have had more of a kick. The sauce for the potatoes was lovely and I wish there was more! The naans were perfect and the papadums were lovely and crispy, they also came intact which is surprising given their fragile nature so there was obviously an element of care when packing and transporting. The onion bhajis were lovely, as were the samosas; the magic potatoes...they look red and spicy but actually not so when you bite into them. They were certainly delicious and I can see that becoming my new 'fad' food. I wholly suggest everyone trying them and adding them to the order. They need to be a side dish! The chips are more fries than chips and very crispy! The masala chips were VERY flavourful and VERY spicy; thankfully BHS had included some dips! On reflection the only disappointment was that Just Eat hadn't made the menu fully available/noticeable so I suggest Bar Hill Spice contact them about the layout. Overall this was very nice and at least a 7.8 out of 10 - however THIS IS NOT a fair assumption given we need to order again (through the shop and not JustEat this time) to get the full flavour experience on offer. The staff we encountered were lovely, care had been put into our meals and we ate everything, even my picky daughter ate everything so that is FIVE STARS from her!! We are very pleased with our first meal from Bar Hill Spice and will certainly be ordering again in the near future to try all thats on offer and complete this review.

First takeaway tonight, very quick service, and very nice food. The seabass, prawns, and scallops were all lovely in the seafood curry and we would definitely have another takeaway from here . Staff are very polite and friendly

Burnt Vegetable main course which was inedible. Small portions for the lamb main. Chewy Calamari. On the plus side, the salad was fresh and the breads were all delicious. On the whole however NOT worth it. Also I had to go inside to collect my food even though the leaflet promised "contactless collection". It would have been better if a member of staff came outside to give you your food.
