MY FRIEND FROM FRANCE WANTED TO GO TO THIS RESTAURENT WHICH I WOULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN ABOUT, BUT I ALWAYS LIKE TO TRY SOMEWHERE DIFFERENT, THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD BUT QUITE EXPENSIVE

Ein offenbar unwilliger Service (eine Ausnahme: der nette Franzose) trifft auf eine sehr gute Balance der Aromen. Oder Service schwach, Küche gut. Bei 150 Pounds pro Person ist das schwach. Im Nachhinein hab ich Google Bewertungen gelesen. Wo Kritik (offensichtlich immer wiederkehrende) mit arroganten Floskeln beantwortet wurde.

Ce restaurant nous a surpris. Tout est délicieux, à des prix normaux. Tout est somptueux, délicieux,… Le service est efficace et très serviable. La tarte aux pommes est délicieuse et son caramel encore plus…. À gouter à tout prix !

Very cosy and comfortable place. I was a little bit surprised about the menu becaus It’s a lot of Asian food and even if I really understand the reason why, I don’t understand why a French chef doesn’t try to do something in French style… . Anyway everything was really delicious but I want to mark that I don’t go to bar des pres for Asian food when I’m London I can find the best Asian place. The cocktail and the desserts were perfect!

Terrible experience. PLEASE avoid it at all costs. We were told six times that our table was booked for 90mins and we had to eat within this time, despite the restaurant having many empty seats by the counter and a couple of empty tables. There is an arrogant attitude all around. Better Japanese food in London. This restaurant is just not what they described on their website. By the way, when we complained about a few dishes not being suitable, there were taken away with no hesitation and not re-compensated. Fearful of not hearing about the time frame, we ate fast and left within 1 hour 15min. The whole experience spoilt our evening, plus the food didn't make up for their crass service. DON'T BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY ON THIS RESTAURANT

We are visiting from New York and can recognize great service and fine food . The professional and knowledgeable staff guided us to choose delicious entrees as each component complemented each other . Miso glazed cod with spinach , Asian rice , the service equally matched the fine food . We were welcomed from the beginning and felt special . Thank you so much for making our last stay in London a wonderful experience

We attended a paid for dinner event at Bar Des Pres that was meant to showcase the restaurant. We came away quite underwhelmed it must be said. The evening started at the bar downstairs which was actually very good, the atmosphere was excellent and bar staff also very good. This was the best part of the evening. Upon moving upstairs the thing that struck us most was just how bad the service was at times, with some staff simply being rude. The first wine that was served was undrinkable, but rather than be able to get another glass from a different bottle, I was informed that as its Chenin Blanc I should not expect it to taste like Sauvignon Blanc, to say I was somewhat taken aback is an understatement as I was fully aware what the wine was and wasn't and either way this simply was not how it should be. Interestingly another table who had wine from the same bottle, ordered a different wine and left it also. Things did not really improve from there, from a rushed service, plates cleared before both of us had finished and attitude of the customers really are just getting in the way from multiple staff we ended up leaving much earlier than planned and continued our evening elsewhere. In regards the food, some was excellent but overall for the price point and similar options in Mayfair I would say it was expensive and nothing I would rush to experience again. The bar was by far the best part of the evening and if we had just gone for drinks and eaten elsewhere it would have been the perfect venue. It is a shame as the potential is there, it just needs a serious attitude adjustment!

I am shocked that this place has currently 3,5 stars in reviews as I loved my experience. I would love the return back as loved the ambience, the food and the service as well. The food is definitely at the top and probably the main reason I would be coming back. I came for dinner with friends and we all truly enjoyed it. Thank you.

I loved my time at this restaurant. We came for dinner and arrived a little bit earlier than our reservation, so to wait, we got seated at the downstairs bar for a drink. There was a DJ and the atmosphere was very nice, the drinks original and delicious. When it was time for us to get our table, we went back to the upstairs room which had another nice and chill atmosphere where we got seated at a lovely booth. The food is of Franco-Asian fusion and very well done! Special mention for the pommes dauphine and the chocolate fondant. The only drawback was that the staff was a bit slow in getting our order/attending to us and seemed unexperienced.

Went here for a business lunch. Called the day before to make the reservation and explicitly asked for a table, but when we arrived it turned out we’d be sitting at the counter. Asked if we could be seated at a table, but response was negative. Very disappointing, especially as we had to go through a presentation and it was obviously challenging to do so at the counter vs being seated at a proper table. Didn’t complain as I was with a client, but this is unacceptable at a restaurant of this level. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is that the food was good.

This restaurant is a gem! Such great quality of food. It is served as tapas style, they recommend 5-6 dishes to share between 2 people. Quite expensive but since it’s Mayfair area and the quality of ingredients are great then the price is fair. Lovely for a date night. A great recommendation for anyone looking for a fusion restaurant.

I came to know about this place through a khlaiji influencer. The food, service and ambience are really good bu the best is the millfiet. It's a pity that's this place is ONLY doing a 3 course meal.
